My QNAP NAS has an option to store files in a "cloud" (like Dropbox or OneDrive) on the NAS to free up Laptop-disk space. I selected that option and it corrupted all of the photos (some DNG, Some Sony .arw, some .jpg, some .mp4). I'm guessing (possibly wrongly, but let's assume not) that the Lightroom Catalogues are still OK. I am going to have to rebuild ~5 years of photo libraries from backups made at the time I took the photos off the camera. If possible, I'd like to use the Lightroom Catalogues:To extract just the photos I kept, rather than all the photos I took.To apply the edits to the photos. Does anyone know if either of these is possible?(I can probably write code to do the work if it is possible, but would need a bit of guidance on things like how the database is structured.)
Hi, I have been using LrC for years now and stored the images in a local drive. All of a sudden the import is stalling - even with a single image to import. LrC shows me the image in the relevant folder - such as when I use "sync folders", I can check the boxes of the images to import, the process starts and the activity bar says "import files at their current location" but nothing happens. Normally it is pretty quick but now it doesn't move at all and no images are imported. Can anyone suggest a solution?ThanksNick

macOS Ventura 13.5 / Lightroom Classic 12.4 / Camera Raw 15.4 / Canon imagePROgraf PRO-300 Just to save you any unecessary breath or time: I've got 25+ years of printing in profiled & calibrated workflows – from the offset printing days through today. So, I'll know what you're talking about, and you can assume I know how to reboot a computer or find an ICC profile. Okay, printing from Lightroom used to be one of my favorite things to do before macOS Ventura. I actually looked forward to printing sessions because we seemed to have reached the pinnacle of digital photos to analog prints in a one-stop workflow – never having to leave Lightroom at all. Plus, being able to create "Saved Prints" and know that everything was going to just work months later, that was the best feature of the Print module yet! But all that was before macOS Ventura came out. Since then, printing from Lightroom has been a disaster. Tons of wasted time, materials, and patience. But I don't think
I purchased a new laptop (Mac Pro). I want to continue using Lightroom Classic (have no interest to use the Cloud version). How do I make sure that when I install Lightroom Classic on my new laptop I will see all my folders and edited photos.
When I select a printing orientation it intermittently changes from what I selected in Page Setup (landscape or portrait) to another orientation (portrait or landscape). I have contacted Adobe support several times, and they have not been much help. The quality of support has declined recently..
Hi everyone, Since last week when lightroom cc upgraded to version 14.0.1, the tethering with the Nikon d850 stopped working properly on the laptop, while on the desktop it works fine. It sees the camera, I can do all the settings, even live view, but when I take the photo it doesn't appear at all and the message “A captured file could not be saved. Your drive may be full, or may no longer be accessible. Chose New Destination". Of course none of this is true. I tried with digiCamControl and it works fine. Can someone tell me what's going on? Thanks, ps. The camera and windows are updated with the latest version {Moved from Lightroom Cloud to Lightroom Classic Forum by Moderator}
Hello all I Hope you are Well. I have been using Lightroom Classic for a few Years now and have decided to try the Sync facility from mySamsung Galaxy Phone to Lightroom Classic on my Desktop (Windows 11). I take a Photo on the Phone which the Lightroom App Syncs to my Desktop (Lightroom Classic), all Good, so far. Once the Photo appears in the 'All Synced Photographs' Collection how do I Move it to my Local Directory Structure? I am at a Loss so any Help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance Kevin
Hello Community, I have a question about AI in Lightroom: I want to create a timelapse and need to edit 100 images in Lightroom identically. When I use the Clone Stamp to correct a spot on my “master image,” this stamp is applied 1:1 to all images (synchronization). How does it work if I use AI to fix the spot? Is a new result generated for each image during synchronization, or is the initially created correction applied identically to all images?
I primarily use Lightroom Classic for organizing my photo and video library. I have diligently assigned keywords to categorize and manage my media efficiently. My intention is to share my media with others through Lightroom (cloud) while ensuring that the keywords are synced along with the files. This is crucial for facilitating easy search and retrieval of specific photos or videos. But the keywords are not syncing from Lightroom Classic to Lightroom (cloud) automatically. also:Videos require manual importation into Lightroom (cloud), as automatic syncing doesn't include them.
My Lightroom Classic has been giving me problems for a few days now. It does not respond to the 'create collection' command. I have to close the program and reopen it to let me do it.I have 6481 photos in these collections. Is this too many? Should I start deleting folders?
Con la última actualización de LR Classic no puedo cargar el perfil de cámara creado en ColorChecker. En catálogos anteriores, sí aparece, pero al hacer un catálogo nuevo no me da la opción, y al importarlo indica "Missing profile"
Hi. I have just upgraded from Lightroom to Lightroom Classic. Photos back up to the cloud. I have found that while syncing photos from Lightroom to Classic it has also stored photos on my laptop C drive. This is now full and causing major problems. How do I stop Classic saving images to the C drive and how do I move the ones there already to an external hard drive. I need help! Thank you.
Lightroom Crashes randomly and gives this report. All my graphics drivers are up to date. I'll post system specs on the subsequent post. I've seen this error around the internet but not many fixes. I'm really hoping someone can help me get to the bottom of this one. <?xml version="1.0"?><!DOCTYPE AdobeCrashReport SYSTEM "AdobeCrashReporter.dtd"><crashreport serviceVersion="22.0.0.202411120700_66319a4" clientVersion="22.0.0.202411120700_66319a4" applicationName="Adobe Lightroom Classic" applicationVersion="14.1.1" build="[202412150940-551fb044]" source="Windows-Client" crashType="n/a"><time year="2025" month="1" day="21" hour="5" minute="58" second="57" timeoffset="-300" timezone="Eastern Standard Time" crsessionduration="2915"/><user guid="b7d47344-a221-4709-b617-933d08ae0a9e"/><system platform="Windows 11 Pro" osversion="11.0" osbuild="22631" applicationlanguage="en-us" userlanguage="en-US" oslanguage="en-US" ram="130779" machine="13th Gen Intel
It would be a very helpful feature to have the option to enable dark mode for the menus in LrC. Currently, from what tech support tells me, there is no option in Preference> Interface to set the mode for the menus. I find there is a glitch, as the menus can be made to go into dark mode (assuming Windows is set to dark mode) by either clicking on the Map module then to the Develop or Library module or by changing the background color then selected Darker Gray or Black. This somehow changes the menus to dark mode.
Hey everyone - I use lightroom on my 2019 Mac Pro. I have a fairly large (250k image) LR catalog that is stored on an internal SSD. I have found that scrolling in grid view, even in collections with only a few thousand images, is very slow. Even though I have 1:1 previews rendered for every photo, LR will still show gray squares for images and take a few secs to render, and the scrolling is slower than I would likeIf I were to upgrade to a new Mac Studio, would this improve?I don't think the read/write from the ssd would be faster, but are there other factors, like CPU or GPU speed that might speed things up?
Hello, I have a problem in Lightroom Classic - I have a lot of photos that require identical cropping. My camera spontaneously rotates some photos and I have to rotate them manually in the program. But if I set the cropping options on the manually rotated photo and pass the settings to the other photos with the auto-sync function, the cropping is correct only on the manually rotated photos - those photos that were not manually rotated have the wrong cropping (like the cropping is rotated to the original orientation of the manually rotated photos).
Would be good to have a feature where 'same as previous' was avaaialble on auto import to copy the settings from the previous capture. I use Fuji to have to use an auto import work around
Lightroom classic 14.2 does not launch at all. Removed it, reinstalled it still not. Lightroom classic is essential to my work. How to fix this??? [Moved from ‘Bugs’ to ‘Discussions’ by moderator, according to forum rules.]
My latest plugin, Any Tag, is now available; feedback greatly appreciated:http://www.johnrellis.com/lightroom/anytag.htmWork more efficiently with keywords and synonyms, including those containing spaces:Quickly apply keywords and synonyms with just a few keystrokes, seeing all matching keywords, their parents, and their descriptions as you type. Quickly filter photos by exact names of keywords, without laborious scrolling in the Filter Bar or accidental matches with text search.Attach descriptions to keywords. Avoid accidentally creating new keywords.
When my PC is disconnected from my external hard drives, which is where is store all my original full sized files, i can't edit anything in Develop. It says "file not found." This used to work fine, but now it doesn't. I (think) I have LrC configured to use Smart Previews, which i thought meant i could use Develop even in my original full size files are stored externally. I mostly shoot on my Galaxy S25 Ultra and sync to LrC via the cloud. I'm using LrC 14.2 on a Windows Surface Book 2. Everything is updated to the latest versions.
