Lightroom Classic

Hello, I am running Lightroom classic v13-4 and all of a sudden when I go to export even just one photo the export tab opens up top but nothing happens. I once let it sit for 24 hours and it showed it completed but nothing was in the folder. I have tried everything, resetting preferences, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, deleting watermarks and making a blank one, checked my hard drive, checked export settings they're the same I've always kept them. I'm using a 2017 iMac Ventura 13.7 i5 8gb I'm not sure if the age of my Mac has anything to do with it but any help is appreciated thank you!

So this behavior is something new. I've been using LrC with a Synology NAS as my catalog storage for some time now.I recently noticed som sync's being hung. I would run through my workflow, editing photos and such, and then notice the sync was hung on a few images and their "metadata". I would have to "remove these from all synced photographs" to clear out the queue, and move forward. That sucks because then I had some issues adding those images back into the correct collection.But anyways, the issue seems to happen when I am just navigating around in the Library module in a catalog that is stored on my Synology drive (I have some catalogs on my local MacBook Pro drive that do not exhibit this behavior)When I click and image, it's fine.When I open the image in the loupe view, it starts a metatada syncoddly enough, it syncs 2 photos which are the one I clicked, and the immediately proceeding image in that catalog.I've attached a video for referencethis metatdata clears out pretty fast,

Hi: I have Lightroom Classic installed on a Windows desktop PC. I recently bought an iPad Pro. How do I sync my Lightroom photos (collections) from the desktop to be able to view and edit on the iPad Pro using the Lightroom app? Also, as an Enterprise customer I don't have a lot of Creative Cloud storage, so how can I do this using a third party cloud storage service (like Dropbox)? Thank you.

Hi,First time scenario for me. I'm looking for suggestions to how I can safely move my entire photos/catalogue and collections to an external SSD, however, still being able to work on some of them (work in progress projects), when the external SSD is not connected. I've already searched the forum and, it seems, that there are several options to move all my photos from the laptop's internal harddrive to an external SSD: either by copying, deleting source files and updating folder locations, or by 'Exporting this folder as collection...'. Or is there another better way? What I'm still not sure about, would either option keep the collections I created on my internal drive work once it's either reconnected to the new location or exported as new catalogues? In the worst case, they could also be exported as separate catalogues before I move the whole thing?And once everything is exported onto the external SSD, how can I safely remove the original internal laptop photos and col

How do I search for photos in lightroom that are on my computer by file name?  When i go to library > Find.  I enter in my favourites list copied from Pixieset and paste it in the search field and it comes up with no photos match filter.

Hi,I'm new to the forum but not to Lightroom or to Canon printers.  Still, I have a problem.  My old Canon Pro 100 gave up the ghost, and I've replaced it with a Pro300.  I am working from an iMac running Sequoia 15.x.  The printer is on the network, and I've installed the correct cups driver and ICC Profiles.  When I send an image to the printer from LR, I get an Error 88 message indicating a paper size and type mismatch.  Shouldn't LR be transmitting information to the printer to override what appears on the printer screen?  What's my next step?  Thanks in advance for your help.  richard

Wondering if anyone experiences this issue with Lightroom Classic on Mac OS. I have a catelogue containing around 376,000 images. Recently I've noticed that Lightroom Classic will report it's 'Saving XMP for ñ photo' starting with the total number of images in the catalogue and running that number down as it goes. The XMP data hasn't changed for photos so I don't know why lightroom is trying to save the XMP again for every image, but unfortunatly I can't let the programme run and complete this task as it just keeps eating up more and more memory as it goes on, eventually locking up and freezing. The last time I looked it was consuming 96GB of memory, my MacBook Pro M1 only has 16GB.  Of course I can quit Lrc and I get a warning saying it hasn't finished writing the XMP data but it's ok and Lrc will continue the task next time it's launched.  The problem is, due to the memory leak, the app never finishes the task. Has anyone else seen this?&n

A recent change made by Google will render previous versions of Lightroom Classic's Map Module's Search (top right of the Map header) non-functional. To restore Search functionality please update Lightroom Classic to version 14.2 or later.  

Hi everyone, I would think this is a common issue...photo files keep getting bigger and storage needs grow exponentially. I like to know what other people are doing.  I work directly from an external 5TB hard drive. I keep two backups - so that means I have three 5TB hard drives total.As I am getting close to exceeding 5TB does that mean I just need to keep buying larger drives? Or...do people start splitting their photos into smaller catalogs?Smaller iterations would mean I could use smaller external drives which are cheaper. So the question is - just keep buying bigger external drives OR think about splitting into multiple smaller iterations ---- so separate photos and catalogs. Or maybe there is another option? Thanks 

Hi - earlier, I tried importing photos from my Canon EOS xsi (I know, it's not young) to Lightroom Classic and the import screen showed the camera, but no photos. In an attempt to correct, I updated:  1. OS - now running Sequoia 15.3.1 2. Lightroom Classic to latest version (14.2 release)  Now, LC won't read my camera at all. When I try using Image Capture, most of the images render an Image Capture Core Error 9934.  I have a MacbookPRO and both Image Capture and Photos recognizes the camera, so I don't think this is an issue with the USB cable. Also, Lightroom (not Classic) seems to be able to read and import the photos.  My goal is to import the raw photos - currently importing from Photos to LC is "degrading" the images to jpg.  Concerned there may be a compatibility issue given the age of the camera. Any other troubleshooting ideas? Thanks!

I had Macbook Air with sonoma 14.5 in which i used lightroom classic .I backed up everything including all the source images in an external drive. I try to open this project in my another Macbook Air M1 with same sonoma 14. 7 & updated lightroom 14.2 as iam a member of adobe cc .Even when the catalogue gets update while lightroom open my saved LR project . iam Unable to see any of the colletion which i made spending so much of time as have 1000s of photographs. I have followed the tips given in general to ensure we have the proper cataloge with all collection in tact . i dont even get missing link or folder yet i have this issue. Repro steps:1. Open a catalog in grid view2. Open second monitor in loupe view3. While using mouse wheel to scroll through photos quickly on the second monitor loupe view, press P or X to flag / reject photos. Do this before the photo has fully loaded. Result - incorrect or no photos are flagged. Unfortunately I ran into this bug after culling over 5000 photos from a recent trip - thank goodness for backups but I need to now spend days culling these photos again. Seems to also be mentioned in this discussion: Re: Keyboard Star Rating Being Applied to the Wron... - Adobe Community - 14094236

I had no backup.  I thought I was screwed, but then I realized that I do pay for adobe CC, and yes, there are 100 GB of pictures.  But... does Adobe also back up the catalog itself?   Or am I left restoring those 100GB of pictures, and then just starting a new catalog?  I don't see anywhere to find the catalog on the adobe cc website.  Thanks!

Lightroom Classic 10.2 Camera Raw 13.2 Win 10 Many of my ORF files from my Olympus PEN E-PL5 are marked with an exclamation point in the photostrip and when they are chosen to view a label appears saying "The file appears to be unsupported or damaged." In the past these files appeared to display perfectly OK. These photos are stored in OneDrive. I am able to view them with Windows Photos both the Raw and Jpeg file and they look OK there, so apparently they are not damaged. Why are these apparently no longer supported? I had been quite happy shooting with Raw+Jpeg mode, but now I wonder. Lightroom does not allow me to unstack the ORF and JPEG, so I can't even view them in Lightroom, they appear as a blurry images. Creative Classic tells me I am up to date. Is there a way to get around this problem? 

I have updated my Lightroom Classic to Version 14.2 and when I look in my Catalogue folder, I see the above. Can I delete the ones that are not v13? Also, can I delete the file named Lightroom Catalog-v13-3 Previews.lrdata? It is taking up a lot of space.

Hello!  I was working with the DeNoise AI for several days, and it seems like after a back up was done, it's just not working anymore. Hi! I am using Lightroom v.14.2. I have a black and white image and make some exposure and highlight modifications.  When I jump over to the print module what is showing is the original image and not the image I have just soft proofed I know I must be doing something wrong but I just can't figure out what it is.   I have attached the image I am using.  Okease feel free to offer any suggestions.

I know the question was asked and I have ideas as to the best solution(s), but so I don't totally mess things up, here I am.I created a new Catalog and successfully got the contents of my old catalog into the new one. All was fine until I synched the new catalog as it brought in stuff from Lightroom (not LrC). I believe I likely should have chosen the option (?delete synced data), but did not. This created virtual copies that I have cleaned up, but also a lot of duplicates that show a filepath of Lightroom/Mobile Downloads.lrdata/downloaded-smart-previews.I see the option in Sync Preferences (click the gear) to delete all Synced Data. Is this what I should do and resync?Thank youDavid

My lightroom classic 14.2 is SLOW, laggy, not previewing or even able to rate photos.  I'm running on Apple M3 Max 128 GB ram Sonoma 14.7.2 I have ample storage. Anyone having issues or have solution?
