Lightroom Classic

In LR classic ( lastest version) when choosing the masking option of "select subject" there are adjustments already here to exposure and highlights. It is as though a preset is there, but I did not create any presets for "select subject". Anyone else having this problem? Would like a fix for this. Thanks

I have a new Mac Mini M2 and I am working with the Lightroom Classic version.My photos are stored on an external drive ( Samsung T7 Shield ) When I try to delete a file from Lightroom I receive an error message telling me that Lightroom is unable to move files to trash because files are on a drive that does not support the trash function. There is a button with the option to delete files iireversable. ( screenshot enclosed ) And now we come to the miracle. Sometimes all  of a sudden the system works as it should, i.e. can move files to trash. But the very next day it's all over and i am facing the same problem again.This is very annoying because if i delete files by mistake they are not in the trash from where i could save them. They are lost once and for all. I hope this problem will be resolved quickly.Dieter FriesMarch 6th, 2024 

hii, i was using a luminance range masks for a quite a while. but with new update, when i make a mask the refine slider immediately jump to random value. i have this issue on a silicon processor.

I shoot tethered quite a bit with a variety of Canon cameras.  I prefer to have Lightroom rename my files on import based on date/time.  The time in the file name is always off while the time in the metadata is correct.  This seems to be happening because Lightroom is incorrectly using the Time Zone setting on the camera during tethered capture.  The amount of error exactly matches the time zone correction.  My 6D and 5DS-r both show this problem and both cameras have a time zone setting.  My 5DmkII does not have the time zone setting and does not show the problem.This problem with time base renaming ONLY happens during direct Lightroom tethered shooting.  Renaming any where else in the workflow works as expected.I can and do use an EOS Utility to Lightroom workflow for tethered shooting that gets the proper naming results.  There are situations where a simpler (and slightly faster) workflow is needed.  After several months of only using thi

Using a iMac Sonoma 14.1 and Microsoft exchange with LR classic 14Just recently the facility to email from LRC 14 has stopped, as it will not validate my account with the following settingssmpt.office365.com587START TTLS or SSL/TLSi get a message about not being able to connect with the external server or not establishing a secure channel - so i cannot validate this.I deleted the account and tried these setting for the outlook.com exchange serveroutlook.office365.com443SSL/TLSBut when i do this it just hangs - and is greyed out, so have to click done and of course i cannot email as it is not validated.Tried with yahoo which auto filled the required server info but get the same message - cannot connect with outgoing mail server.Yet i can send to apple mail and re-send from this.Any suggestions welcome ThanksP

I had for several years a pc that works amazing, because it wasn't the highest it has some flaws that I could leave with but then my computer fell to the ground and I had serious issues to the point I need a new pc after a lot of research I got the Mac mini with m2 pro 16 ram the Mac is lighting fast in every aspect in the previous reviews I saw I what issues I could have, for example when you move from one image to another it's going to be slow (this is something I particularly hate ) and I truly hate it I format the Mac I did troubleshooting but after I research again it seems it's not a problem of Mac it is an adobe issue, then I hated my Mac because I didn't have that issue either my previous pc, then a miracle happened Lightroom 14 after the update it was my dream setup the Mac was super fast when I move to the next image it was super fast no issue I really enjoyed it but then 14.01 was launch and the issue happened again lag lag and more lag so I move back to the 14 and is fast a

Does the “excessive” use of Smart Collections slow down LrC? Should its use be limited or does it not matter in your experience?The background to my question:I use a location-based folder structure and have “mirrored” this structure as a collection set with (normal) collections. Unfortunately, I always have to remember to synchronize the collections manually when, for example, new images are added to a location. That’s why I’m thinking about solving the whole issue with Smart Collections. Because that would result in a large number of smart collections, I would like to clarify in advance whether I could fall into a performance trap.What are your thoughts or experiences?Greetings, Thomas

On a MBP M1 MAX w/ 64GB RAM Activiting lens blur always slows that image down to a crawl...every....time.  Becomes near unusable.  Activity monitor spikes above 500% for cpu usage (ram usage normal).    Both computer and apps are updated to latest osx and versions. 

My team and I have had multiple issues with the latest Lightroom Classic Update. A few are listed below:- After editing a whole collection of images, lightroom will glitch and reload, and when it reloads, all those recent edits to the collection disappear.  - Issues with exporting where the export dialog box will not pop up. We have to close LR and reopen to then export. - Trying to take an image from LR into photoshop, it will not allow. Again, we have to close the program and reopen.  - When creating a collection folder, the dialog box will not pop up, again, we have to restart the program.    With all these issues listed above, they are all happening on multiple computers that are all updated with the latest macOS softwares.   If anyone has any idea of how to fix this... that would be great! Hello everyone, I'm having hard time trying to install this presets... I use lightroom from many years but I can not get around this problem. I've tried everything:-checked and unchecked Show Partially Compatible Develop Presets (final state: checked) -checked and unchecked Store preset with catalog (final state: unchecked) -reset prefs -delete prefs -reinstall Lightroom Classic from CC -check visibility on +>manage presets... -tried to delete the folder of Settings and add then again   Here's the LINK to PRESET maybe you can help me. I hopped into Lightroom this morning and lightroom asked to upgrade my catalog. I just hit yes as I have never had an issue with this in the past. It had an error and said it couldn't find a data file and then opened the new Lightroom catalog with none of my pictures. I tried again with the prior year and it did the same thing. Now I also realise when it was doing that it was breaking the old catalog file in the process so I lost my V12 and V13 catalog. I quick made backups of verything else but no matter how far back I go the catalog shows up with no photos. Years and years of edits gone. I checked the "old lightroom catalog"folder but there are just empty folders. The only reason I have stuck with the slow and buggy garbage is I didn't want to have to start over with something new. Maybe now is the time to do it but I would rather not lose two decades of organization and edits.   [moved from bugs to discussions according to the community rules - Mod.]

Because of some problems with LR and Photoship connecting with each other I used Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool and removed everything that popped up. When I reinstalled LR, it opened with all of my preferences in tact. Why is this? I thought the tool removed everything. Mac OS Sequoia and current version of LR.

This has been happening for me through multiple versions of Lightroom, multiple Nvidia graphics cards, and multiple versions (always doing a complete uninstall/install) of the nvidia driver.  I have two monitors connected to the graphics card, one for Lightroom and one for email, interacting with my zenfolio account and so forth. Usually both screens will go black and the system will not respond, requiring a hard reset. This appears to be a known problem, with many people experiencing it. My purpose is not to bring up the problem, but to add information I've recently discovered, in the hope it'll help other people. Turning off graphics acceleration in lightroom preferences does solve the problem, but I work with thousands of photos and the performance hit is too great.  I NEED graphics acceleration. Somewhere along the line in Lightroom development, the "use gpu" was subdivided into "use gpu for display, use gpu for image processing, and use gpu for e

This specific pack of photos are shown like this in develop mode If i will import absolutly any image i have, it will be sown normaly, without doubls it in corner.  How to dissable this doubeling?

Hi, Up to mid-September I could happily import DNG/jpeg files from my DJI Mavic 3 Pro into Lightrooom just like any other photos (i.e. from my Nikon cameras) without any problem. Now, all of a sudden, I've tried to import some new images and, although I can see them and select them in the import window, they do not come up in my chosen destination folder on the right like other files do, and when I click on 'Import' I get the 'Copy and Import' bar come up top left but absolutely nothing happens and then I have to cancel the operation. Incredibly frustrating when something that had been so faultlessly easy and (to me) should present no difficulty to the program, suddenly stops working. I've changed nothing in my operating system (Windows 10), nothing on the drone and nothing in terms of settings and have the latest LR Classic version installed plus have updated Camera RAW to the latest. I just went to open Lightroom for the first time in a few months and I was signed out. So I signed in and it said I don't have an active subscription but my cards been getting charged the same 'Photography plan for the last 2 years straight. Then I thought maybe i logged into the wrong account but every email I try says i have no active plans yet I just got charged for a plan 22 days ago on a reccuring monthly basis. Is there a way to figure out what email I used? Or stop the charge. Or something else??

Hallo, ich will über Lightroom eine JPG_Datei für den Druck speichern. Im Farbmanagement Menü kann ich verschiedene Profile auswählen, nur nicht das ISO Coated Profil, das in der Library/Colorsync liegt. Ein anderes Druckprofil eines Druckers liegt in demselben Ordner und wird als Auswahl unter dem "Farbmanagement / Profil / Andere" zur Auswahl angezeigt. Wie kann ich andere Farbprofile einrichten? Lightroom defaults my imports into the Pictures folder on C: drive, which I don't want. I want lightroom to automatically import them into a different drive without having to manually change it every day.   I've tried installing Lightoom on the other drive and also moving the catalog to the other drive   {Moved from Lightroom Cloud to Lightroom Classic Forum by Moderator}.

I have a Sony A7 R5 camera and I have not been able to connect it to Lightroom Classic. I have many problems. It does not connect. I have changed the cable. I have reinstalled the software. I do not know what to do.

With a collection set (or multiple collections) selected, images that should be stacked (as if they were unstacked) appear expanded.This is very annoying when exporting a large batch of detailed collections.Is this a specification?Is there any way to avoid this by changing the display or settings?
