Hi all,I work with large sets of photos in Lightroom Classic and always found metadata (titles, captions, keywords) to be the most time-consuming part. Recently I have been experimenting with a small plug-in I built that uses AI to help generate this information and write it directly into the IPTC fields in LrC.It is still simple, but for stock photography and bigger projects it has saved me time. I am sharing in case others here are exploring similar workflows, and I would be interested to hear how you handle metadata automation in your own setups. If you are curious, I put a short description and the download info here:https://www.metamagicplugin.com/Mods: if this type of post is not appropriate, please feel free to remove.

After I used the available colors in the refresh, I pressed sync for other photos, and my app stopped working, but my computer continued to use other apps simultaneously as normal.
This issue is really affecting my editing workflow. As I scrolling (right/left) through images on the strip to edit, intermittently the selected photo is not showing on the main editing screen. Somehow it get stuck on the previous photo. See sample on the photo. I’ve changed all the preferences to the most efficient and highest performance. I’m at a total loss… and about to pull my hair out. I’ve gone to the extreme to update to a high end Windows workstation. Can someone help me with this issue? The editing photo does not correspond to the selected image for editingLRC 15.3 RAW 18.3Windows 11Intel Ultra 9 285k 32GB memGeforce RTX 5070TiM.2 SSD 1TB OS, LR catalogs &cacheM.2 SSD 2TB Photo RAW files
I don't put all the photos i selected in the final book.I would like to be able to select only the used ones, so i can edit only those.Thank you.
Would it be possible to adjust the text layout for multiple pages at once? If you don't use the standard layout you have to adjust it page by page and frame by frame...
I'm in Library, Loupe View. I use my arrows on the keyboard left and right to scroll through pictures. Then I hold either key of a couple of seconds and when I release it, the pictures should stop scrolling. However it continues scrolling and very quickly. There is no way to stop it, clicking or escape won't work. Just switching to another program and coming back. This is very annoying as I can't scroll quickly through my pictures. I get very frustrated. Lightroom Classic 15.0.1Mac OS Tahoe 26.1

Hi, i have trying to use denoise on my sony arw raw files. they are true raw files but but i cannot denoise them. it keeps coming up with an error message. the error message says failed to apply adjustments to following images. i have a macbook pro m3 pro on macintosh tahoe 26.1 and i have no option to use my gpu acceleration on anything. it says system is incompatible which kind of makes no sense to me as the gpu is fairly powerful
We urge you to consider a transformative feature for Lightroom: an AI-powered batch editing tool, finely tuned to each photographer's unique style. Imagine a feature that learns from an individual's editing history, creating a personalized AI profile. This tool would not only expedite batch processing but also evolve with the user's artistic growth. An essential addition would be intelligent AI-assisted culling. This feature would automatically discern and prioritize images, streamlining the initial selection phase and focusing on quality and composition. Moreover, the introduction of adaptive 'SmartPresets' is crucial. These presets, unlike any currently available, would dynamically adjust to each image, informed by the user's historical editing patterns, ensuring consistency and quality across varied lighting and contextual scenarios. The integration of such advanced AI features would dramatically revolutionize the editing workflow, cutting down editing time and freeing photographers
The application will show in the task manager as a background task, but will not pull up the application window. I have tried updating the app, rebooting the pc and running offline. All with no success
I'm going to be getting some images in the FITS format. I keep trying to ask Adobe if they have or could recommend a converter, and got nowhere. Suggestions appreciated. John

When trying to remove something from an image it leaves a white shadow of what was meant to be removed.
I usually create a folder for my images on the hard drive by dragging and dropping from the SD card. Then I open Lightroom and point to that particular folder.
Das webp-Format liefert kleinere Dateigrößen für Web-Seiten, dadurch kürze Ladezeiten und weniger Speicherverbrauch .
I have built a computer in the past year and have struggled getting the subject and background masking features to work. MY graphics drivers are up to date. I have read that AMD and adobe have had problems in the past and am curious if that is the issue now.
Preset Masking: Apply Presets Non-Destructively to Specific ParametersThe ProblemLightroom presets currently apply to the entire image and overwrite all settings — making it impossible to combine multiple presets selectively. This creates real friction in certain workflows.A concrete example from my own practice: when I want to apply my black-and-white preset to a color-graded image, I have to export a JPEG first, re-import it, and then apply the B&W preset — otherwise it wipes out all my color work. This roundabout workaround degrades image quality and breaks the non-destructive editing philosophy Lightroom is built on.The IdeaAllow presets to be applied as parameter masks — meaning a preset could be scoped to affect only a defined subset of parameters (e.g., tone curve, HSL, B&W mix) without touching the rest of the edit. How It Would HelpCombine presets freely: apply a color grade from one preset and a grain/vignette look from another, without either overwriting the other. B&
As you compare the grain effect beetwen Lightroom Classic and Silver Efex, you can see that SE is more natural, as the LR grain seems to be plastered on the entire image: the shadows and highlights are equaly recovered with grain while very bright zones shouldn't. It is very visible on B&W pictures. On a picture if I add film grain effect, I use a Luminance mask and reduce the grain slider to reduce grain impact on the Highlights. Not bad but not quite satisfying. I wish LR could implement a better film looking grain. Maybe a slider "preserve HL" could be added in the Grain panel, as it exists in the Vignette panel. Hope this idea helps.
Film emulation is a frequent deliverable in my professional work as a cinematographer and photographer. Clients regularly request a "film look," and right now that requires third-party plugins or manual workarounds that add complexity. Having robust, built-in film simulation tools would keep the workflow inside Lightroom, reduce dependency on external plugins, and give more precise creative control over the final aesthetic.Expand Lightroom's grain and effects panel with:More granular control over grain structure its already great but would be nice to have control over shape, clumping, response to luminance zones Film stock presets or profiles that replicate the tonal and grain characteristics of popular stocks (Portra, Tri-X, Ektar, etc.) A halation/glow effect slider that simulates light scatter around bright areas Diffusion and blur options Options for color grain vs. monochrome grain behaviorThe film look is always in demand and is a style that will never go out of fashion, these ad
Curves are one of the most powerful and most sensitive tools in any photo editor, but Lightroom's curve editor has limitations that hold back more precise color/tonal work. The curve panel is locked to a small, fixed size with no way to enlarge it, so fine-grained adjustments become a game of how small I can make my mouse movements. Enhance the curve editing experience with:A scalable or detachable curve panel that can be resized or popped out into a floating window for more room to work Snapping and precision controls for control points, including (enchanced) snap-to-grid, axis-lock (constrain movement to horizontal or vertical)A larger curve panel would make subtle adjustments practical rather than imprecise, especially for skin tone corrections, highlight rolloff, and shadow color balance. Snapping and axis-lock would prevent the accidental point drift that currently forces undo/redo cycles.
Clarity and Dehaze are powerful tools, but they operate as broad, single-axis adjustments. Clarity affects midtone contrast globally without allowing the user to control which frequency of detail is being enhanced. Dehaze can introduce color shifts and over-saturate certain tonal ranges. Neither tool provides fine-grained control over exactly how it interacts with different parts of the image. Other applications offer more nuanced micro-contrast controls. Add expanded controls beneath Clarity and Dehaze that allow users to:Adjust the frequency/scale of detail enhancement (fine detail vs. broad structure) Control the tonal range where the effect is applied (shadows, midtones, highlights independently)More accurate micro-contrast control would reduce the time spent masking and applying multiple local adjustments to achieve what should be a single global correction.
