Lightroom Classic

I’m unable to convert or import from Lr 6.14 catalog. I have optimized etc., removed all links to moved files and else followed every advice I could find. Still no success. I get the following message:Lightroom faced problems, trying to upgrade the format of the catalogfile and can not use this catalog in this version of Lightroom.After this I found various recommendations on using LrC 13.2 of 14.0, to make an intermediate version,  for a final import to LrC 15.3. I managed to install LrC 14.0, repeated the conversion-atempt, but received this message: We’re sorry. Lightroom couldn’t upgrade the catalogfile and can not import from it. You might want to upgrade the catalog, on the direct, by opening i with Lightroom 7. The question is: Where can I find Lightroom 7, and - does any of you have a suggestion to how I should overcome my problem/challenge?RegardsTom KaasenNorway

Hi,Problem with LrC sync. The LrC/Preferences/Lr Sync tab shows Sync Activity list of tens of rows. If sync is paused and then resumed, the process goes on all the time (several days now), but no sync photos can be found nowhere on my MacStudio, Cloud or ext.discs. Managed to sync one collection of 30 photos. After that problem arouse.  How to stop the process and empty the Sync Activity list? Can anybody help?Kerttukaarin

I would like to be able to access my catalog from multiple devices.  How can I do that as I don’t see migrate under the file menu

I’ve been using Lightroom Classic for nearly 20 years now (version 1.0) and have basically kept the same catalog all of these years.  Here recently I used the Smugmug plugin to export some photos to the cloud and I noticed that all of the photos had the keyword “Sheila”.  The only problem is, I removed the “Sheila” keyword from my catalog along time ago.  It’s not in my Keyword list anywhere.  When I select any of the 200,000 photos I have and, in the Library module, view the Keyword Tags → Enter Keywords…. I do NOT see “Sheila”.  However, if I change the Keyword Tags dropdown to “Will Export”, everyone one of them has a tag “Sheila”.  You can’t edit this list.  I’ve tried everything I can to remove.  I’ve even tried exporting a folder that only had 30 or so pictures to its own catalog to see if a new catalog would fix the issue… no luck.Need help on solving this…. the only thing I can think of is that there must be a “root” keyword somewhere and for some reason “Shiela” got set as the

I have also seen a slowdown in Lightroom Classic 15.3.If I leave LR open and step away from the computer, the system will go in sleep mode. Usually moving / clicking the mouse or hitting the Enter key will wake it up. I just started 2 days ago to use Lightroom (after being away for a while) I had to cycle power / reboot  the system 2 times to gain control again. The normal “wake up” steps did not work.Anybody else see this affect?Windows 11 Home, Lightroom Classic 15.3

Hi I purchase Light room 2022 downloaded on my old computer had to replace my PC  and upgrade to windows , can not transfer light room , can you help with taht please , i down loaded the app, i can not even sign in to it  

I exported 479 photos to a folder with “Add to This Catalog” selected.  The export proceeded as expected but the operation to add the photos to the catalog was painfully slow.  It was taking 4-10 seconds for each image.  During the time to add the photos to the catalog all other importing operations are frozen.  During the extended add photos operation LrC is consuming about 7-10% of CPU.  The rate at which photos were added to the catalog is much slower than other operations that add photos to the catalog.LrC 15.3Win11 

For years we had the filter toolbar above the strip view where I can directly filter by flagged, label, whatever.Now, this toolbar is just visible for 1 sec after starting LR and then it’s gone.Even if I select “Default Columns” from the filter, it stays empty - and only the “Flagged” or “Rating” selection in the filters dropdown shows a filter (but only the selected one) 

Hello, I haven't been able to find an answer on how to change the default values of the sliders in the presets within the masks. I can only find the option to “Save current settings as new default”I don't want to create a new preset default.Also, how can I delete or rename a mask presets? Regards  

There seems to be a serious incompatibility between Mac OS Sequoia version 15.5 and Lightroom Classic v13-3. I received a message telling me to go to Systems Settings-Privacy and Security - Full Disk Access to enable Full Disk Access for Adobe Lightroom Classic, which I have done but the problem remains. This needs serious attention from Adobe and Apple. I have seen posts from professional users who are unable to work!

Hi,after the latest update to v15 of LR for Windows, the behaviour of the cropping tool changed. It's really annoying: It is very difficult to create a selection in portrait format with the mouse in this case. Simply dragging diagonally downwards is no longer sufficient – see my screen video here:https://youtu.be/NYfgYOV3IXE Any idea to get back the old behaviour – not by using the previous version of LR 😉 Thanks!mycc

This problem hasn't been resolved for years. Can anyone help me? My patience with Adobe is running out. It seems like a very serious problem. Every time I launch export, Lightroom Classic gets stuck at about 15%.

Hi Lightroom Classic Community, I have trouble using the AI denoise function. I don’t get any errors when the denoise box is checked, but I also don’t yeld any changes even when the slider is at 100. What am I doing wrong? 

I use a Macbook Pro. I import from a folder on my Macbook into Lightroom Classic. While editing I want to discard some photos from Lightroom but also from my Macbook . The option is there to delete from Lightroom AND my laptop but it doesn’t delete the file from my laptop. It used to do on earlier versions of Lightroom (which I know not) but it hasn’t done for quite a while. What I have to do now ouside Lightroom is go into my laptop and delete to unwanted photo files.

I recently went from using Lightroom Classic on a PC to using on a MAC. I had no issues with the PC. On the MAC with the same library I get "Photo merge error unable to merge photos. Failed to import the final merged result". The message pops up everytime I try to merge any photos. All my photos are RAW. Please help.

LrC无法正确实识别显卡的存在，且在处理图像的过程中，主要工作的是CPU，在进行去杂色的时候，也是CPU为主要负载，GPU没有负载，在Intel Arc显卡的老驱动中不存在这个问题，但是新驱动存在这个问题，那边已经进行排查发现没有问题，一个是Adobe这边没有进行适配。

For years I’m using a LR Catalog located somewhere under c:\MyLightroomCatalog … since an update or so, LR now always starts with an empty catalog from C:\Users … despite I load the correct catalog - close LR - start again and it opens the empty one from its default location.How can I fix this bug and force LR always to open the correct / only one / last one catalog like the decades before?

I have already cancelled my subscription but they have charged me for that still. I need a refund.

When I load LrC select subject and object masking does not work at all so I have to open the image as a smart object in PS and use ACR where it works just fine. The next time I load LrC masking works again but only until I exit, then it will fail again the next time and I will have to do the masking in PS again. When it fails it doesn’t even try to find anything,  I just draw the shape and then nothing happens. Any ideas? It seems pretty strange and only started happening after the last LrC update. The things I’m trying to select are very obvious and ACR in PS has zero issues with it but I would like to do it in LrC most of the time. Thanks in advance. Previously when in soft proofing mode in the Develop tab when I started to make any adjustment to an image an automatic pop-up would appear asking me if I would like to make a proof copy.This no longer happens, and now if I want to create a proof copy I have to click the Create Proof Copy button under the histogram in the top right.I don’t know when this stopped working or if it was following a version update.I have checked and done all the following to try and fix this:definitely not working already on a copy the Reset all warning dialogs in Preferences is greyed out suggesting there are no prompts to reset reset preferences by removing preference file from foldersAny other suggestions greatly appreciated for how I can get this auto prompt back.

Major malfunction with Lightroom Classic:I tried to Import (Copy) about 20 images from my CF Express card to my local SSD - exactly as I always do.The Import dialog window gets stuck with no progress and never ends, for a task that should take a few seconds. In the Import dialog window, the image thumbnails don't render any images and display only as grey boxes. I Forced Quit, ejected the card, restarted my Mac, reinserted the card and from Finder I dragged (copied) the images into my Users > Pictures folder on my local SSD. No problem. Relaunched LrC and ran the Import process again, and again the same issue. Forced Quit again and restarted my Mac. Again, I tried to Import (Add) but again had to Force Quit when the Import dialog window got stuck. I restarted my Mac again. Tried Library > Synchronise Folder but it just froze and I had to Force Quit.When I cancel the Import process, I get a dialog box saying "no photos or videos were found to import" even though they’re on my loca
