The Transform > Level adjustment doesn't seem to sync properly across multiple photos within Lightroom Classic. If I click on Level in the Transform adjustments, it will level out that photo properly. If I then select several more photos and sync the Transform adjustments, it will turn on Level on all of these photos but not actually level them out.If I now go to one of the photos I just synced, I can see that Level has been turn on, but I need to hit the [Update] button in the Transform section to actually have it calculate it for that photo. To make it worse, if I select two or more photos, the [Update] button changes to [Sync], which will, just like before, sync the settings but not actually to the level calculations. So it seems I have to go through each individual photo one by and and hit the sync button to get all photos to leel out.I'm sure this is not the way it is intended to work. I'm running Lightroom Classic 14.0.1 Camera RAW 17.0 on a MacBook Pro M1 Max.

Is it possible to print contact sheets of the face previews in People screens? Bob Frost
I updated Lightroom Classic, on launch it asked to "upgrade my catalog". I upgraded. Now I cannot see any of my photos even though they are fully connected and Lighroom knows where they are – can locate to exact location on external drives where I store them. Which means they are connected. Problem is – it doesn't show them, I can't work with them. Another part of the issue, is whenever I go to Catalog Settings it freezes the app completely so I can only force quit it. I tried reinstalling the app – didn't change anything. I am on MacOS Sequoia 15.0.1. [moved from bugs to discussions according to the community rules - Mod.]
A few days ago I upgraded from 5.7 to 6 (standalone, not cloud). At first it was running fine but now I have problems starting the application (Windows 8). It opens but does not show any photos, sidebars etc. and Windows has it down as "not responding". I reinstalled Lightroom 6 and was able to log in once, but after a restart the same issue came up. I have also renamed my catalogue file - after doing that Lightroom starts and asks to create a new catalogue, but once I have done that clicking anywhere causes the programme to freeze again. Therefore I think it is not my catalogue that is to be blamed.Any suggestions?
Please help as I am getting very frustrated. I own Adobe Lightroom 6 for many years but lately it keeps de-activating itself. Why?!?!?!? It has worked flawlessly for years and have no intention of going to a paid monthly plan. If there is another option I am all ears. Please help. Thank you, John
HiI have a imac 2011 running on EL Capitan. Succesfully downloaded and opened the application. However it is now in "Catalog upgrade in progress" stage for the last 90 mts, without the progress bar moving. What needs to be done now?
Hi,When deleting a file in Lightroom and choosing the option to also delete it from the disk, then LR tries to move the file to the recycle bin. Is there a way to have LR delete a file from the disk without it going to the recycle bin? I am on Windows 11.Background: I am having my iCloud photos folder added to Lightroom, and would like to delete photos from it via Lightroom. Unfortunately the Windows client for iCloud does not support the move operation to the recycle bin. When using Del key in Windows Explorer, there is an error, it works only with Shift+Del (=without recycle bin). This seems to be a known problem and I don't think Apple will fix it. So I am looking for a workaround so that deleting files from Lightroom could still work.Regards, Robert
I am upgrading to a new PC: installed Lightroom 6 ok from DVD, and added serial number. Now though, when starting it suggests I need to sign in to activate, then goes round and round in circles. I have tried an option posted of on this forum, to install the Creative Cloud Desktop App, which is fine, and does show that the product is licensed to me. I would really love to carry on using it on my new PC. Any help in solving this would be appreciated.
I’m new to the Apple world, having used LR Classic on a PC for years, and I just bought an iPad to manage images use LR mobile while travelling. I edited a lot of images in LR Mobile (LR v. 10.0.1) on my iPad (10th generation) while on my recent trip, bringing both .jpg and .mov files from my iPhone and RAW files from my 35mm camera into LR Mobile, assuming that, upon my return home, the synchronization of my iPad LR mobile albums with my PC LR Classic would be really easy. Alas, I learned a few things, after several frustrating days, that I thought some of you might find useful. Other people who are more savvy with this process than I can correct any misunderstandings I might have about this, but this process finally worked for me. I assumed that the images on both my iPhone and iPad would automatically sync with each other in the Apple world, showing the same files on both devices. This didn’t work for me. I could only see some of the iPhone images in my iPad's
Hi everytone. I JUST downloaded the latest versions of Photoshop and Lightroom Classic and having a problem. I imported one photo, started editing, and within minutes I got the "Your System Has Run Out Of Application Memory" error. I was suprised to see this since I have a new M1 Mac w/ 64GB of memory and use it for music production and run large sessions in Pro Tools & Ableton simutaniously w/ no problem. Also I really didn't do any real editing on the photo, just a couple of "healing" moves to remove some glare. Can someone tell me why this is happening and how I fix it? I will Google too, but just wanted to throw the post out too. (included photos are of the error message, the info on the file I was messing around with, and my "about this mac" mac info
I've been shooting tethered with Lightroom my Canon R5 for a few years with no problem, but since version 13 came out the camera won't even be recognised. So I downgraded to version 12.4 because I've found it's the most stable.Anyone else having the same problem? Any solutions? I'm shooting with:Apple Macbook M1 ProCanon R5And Iv'e tried with Alien and Cobra cables. Thanks!
Ive got a catalogue of about 30,000 mixed media files all indexed and tagged with facial recognition. Ive been trying to clear up all my unmamed people and discovered that Lightroom has taken it upon itself to also identify about 90% of the surface of about 4000 pictures that all have previously identified faces, for example in a mountain scene I would have the people in the forground identified and then it tries encapsulates everything by trying to recognise the whole mountain range!!. So the database is stuffed because its now peppered with these erroneous recognition areas and Ive got a horrible feeling that I'm going to have to identify and delete every one of the faulty zones. I've tried using Adobe support, but honestly, its embarasing in the extreme and its wasted 3 hours of my life achieving nothing and being none the wiser as they work through their TS script for the Adobe Illiteratae Dont know when the corruption krept in so going back through old backups would

Hello! Am I able to use a Contact Sheet (within the Print Module) to print multiple snapshots from a single image? I would like to do this so I can view/pick out the one I want to print full size, thus saving paper and ink!
Experienced a problem with the Lightroom Classic upgrade going from 13.5.1 to 14.0 and to 14.01.I upgraded on the day of release (Oct 14th) and the actual upgrade from 13.5.1 to 14.0 appeared to have been executed successfully. Carried out some minor sanity checks to make sure the upgraded version was ok. Still had my usual problem where I’m unable to create large numbers of previews at a time – but that has been around for a couple of years so that was par for the course. The following day version 14.01 was released and I updated. However, after this update, carrying the same sanity checks resulted in Lightroom crashing. The new diagnostic feature came up and informed me that problem was caused by 14.0 and a new version 14.01 was available for installation. I thought did I make a mistake and not install 14.01. Checked with Creative cloud app and that showed 14.01 installed on the system. Yet every time I started Lightroom and checked the Help/ About Lightroom Classic - version 14.0 was
Hi, is there any way to reduce the RAM consumption of LrC 14.0.1 on Mac Apple Silicon? I have a MacBook Air M1 8/256 (Sequoia 15.1) and I have noticed that LrC consumes more RAM than version 13. It starts with 3 GB of RAM occupancy then It comes to 7/8 GB of memory occupancy, particularly when I scroll through images in the DEVELOP section (with a little lag between photos) or when I use DENOISE AI. Memory pressure is yellow. Thank you very much.
Hello again! My 8tb hard drive corrupted but I am still able to open and copy files. My 16 TB drive comes today- I am planning to copy my photos to the new drive. I also purchased a 5TB drive. I would like to start fresh and have ONLY my current albums I am working on, put onto this 5 TB drive along with my current backed up LRC catalog that has all my edits and presets actions etc. is this possible? It also would be great to put my catalog on the internal drive of my Mac for faster performance but only house the currents projects I'm working on, not all 130k photos it has now however I don't know if my Mac has that much storage either as it's only 1 TB. Anyone have a clear step by step way to do this ? I am so slow when it comes to this stuff & it's fall and I'm so behind in editing thanks to this mess! Thanks so much to anyone who reads this!
Hey everyone! I’ve been using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop for about a year and a half now. I’m very happy with them, but I’ve run into a few issues. Photography has become a serious hobby, but it’s not yet something I can make a living from. I can’t afford a new laptop that meets all the requirements for the Adobe apps just yet. Hence my question. Is it possible to install Lightroom Classic and Photoshop on an external drive and use the programs directly from that external drive? Like a online storage space? And, can I store the photos on the external drive to keep my laptop “free” for my studies? All my photos are currently stored on my computer. Could I store them in an online storage space and still be able to use them in Lightroom and Photoshop?I understand that this doesn’t solve issues like the driver, but the programs are too heavy for my laptop, which affects its speed. If I put the programs on an external drive, it will save memory on my laptop
I make profiels based on export of a .cube file from a Photoshop file with adjustmentlayers. They show up and work inside Camera RAW. But only some show up in Lightroom.Any ideas?
Hello,I try to import files into LrC from the Download folder, but doesn't show them. The import worked for several months normally, sometimes it already showed this problem. But after restarting it was fixed. But know the problem is stable, the import doesn't work with anything - whether a different folder, nor a conncected device.I'm working with Mac OS Catalina, LrC 10.0, and LrC has granted full access to the hard disk, so this couldn't be the source of the problem.Has anybody an idea to solve this?Thx! Gab
Dear fellow Lightroom users,I have suddenly come across a problem in Lightroom with the images looking way oversharpened in the Develop module. This problem definitely just emerged in the last two weeks since I last edited a photo, it was all fine before.Just for clarification, I use both a Panasonic MFT camera as well as a Sony A7 and I only shoot RAW images. Problems occur on all images from both cameras. There are no presets or other settings applied on import. In the library view, all my pictures look perfectly fine. As soon as I switch to Develop mode, the image displayed in 1:1 ratio looks highly oversharpened, as if I would have upped the setting from 40 (default) to 80 or higher. But in the small preview window within the "details" toolbox, the image shows the correct amount of sharpening. To clarify, the image looks less sharp in the details box then in the main develop window. If I switch back to library, the image again looks correctly sharpened. Exported images are also f
Tethered Capture in LR3 was a huge step forward for using LR to capture in a production environment. One UI feature that seems to have been overlooked is a keyboard shortcut for hitting the Capture button. Having to find the cursor and then drag it to the button to click is an annoyance (granted, a small one) when shooting multiple captures throughout the day.
My raw images look completely different between the Library and Develop modules. Libary looks more flat and green, Develop looks oversaturated in the reds/cyan. I went back and looked at shoots from a few months ago and there is no problems between the modules. Nothing changed in my cameras, so it has to be a Lr problem. I also checked my laptop, which has 13.0.01 (my problem is with my desktop, which has 14.0.01) and there is no problem with the same image. How can I fix this?? Rolling back to 13.0.01 would, I assume, cause a lot of problems as this entire catalog has been updated to 14.
Desde hace poco, el catalogo de lightroom me hace cosas raras al importar. Me crea las carpetas fuera del catalogo y otras cosas raras. En mi disco duro aparece bien.
