Lightroom Classic

I import my photos by inserting the SD card in the slot in my laptop and importing into LR Classic.  Lately, I've been having a problem with the numbering sequence. I name my photos by date with a number extension.  I.E. 8-31-23-1, -2, -3, etc.  There have been several times lately that I have done this.  The photos show up in order (they are sorted by capture time), but the numbers are all out of sequence.   8-31-23-1 is first photo.  Second should be -2, but it could be -10, next could be -3 or it could be -15.  This is extremely annoying.  It never happened until recently.  Does anyone know why this happens and how to fix it? Thanks.  

I just got LRC 13.5 and I like to import my old LR6 catalogue. It happily starts coverting and then it fails. Is this at all possible or do I do something wrong?   Many thanks in advance Johannes   {Moved from Lightroom Cloud to Lightroom Classic Forum by Moderator}

I have Lightroom Classic, Photoshop, and Lightroom (Not Classic). I cannot get LrC to open on my computer. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, I've tried to clear out my preferences when uninstalling, and I've tried Alt + Shifting while clicking on LrC to officially clear out my preferences. I can get it to work on my mother's computer, but I can't get it to work on mine. Please help. I need LrC for both school and for business opportunities. Both Lr regular and PS work correctly, but LrC does not. I don't know what else to do to get it to work.

Suddenly when uploading pictures to make a book I get the message that the frame is to small. Not enough picksels to print a sharp foto. All my recent pictures have this problem. Made with two different camara's. How kan I enlarge the picturen using all necessary pixels.On the screen of the computer the picture get smaller in stead of larger when clicking to enlarge. How to solve?

Importing the DNG vom Leica TL using Sigma 45 2.8 L-Mount provides in LRC and LR super servere colorshifts. Importing to other RAW converters does not have any issues with color shifts at all. LRC says, that the integrated profile got applied. But it seems that LRC and LR are not able to read correctly the integrated profile of that lens? Sample DNG Export fron LR attached here.

Help! Just tried version 13.0.2 today (12-3-23)… same problem ... LrC still crashes when scrolling through filmstrip in Develop Module. (Note: I do initial filtering with “stars”. Not sure if related >> Crashing happens even unfiltered, but seems to happen more quickly when images are filtered)   History... Early Oct, I upgraded to 13.0 = crash ... when scrolling through images in filmstrip Oct 15, tried 13.0.1 = crash ... when scrolling through images in filmstrip in Develop Module. Oct 29 and Nov 28 tries, same crash result with trying the “second install” and “waiting 5 min” after install.   From Oct 15 to today I have needed to revert back to version 12.5 = no issues, old LrC is solid and works fine. I have today received an advertisement on Instagram from a company called DIGITALOPHY offering PS for a single payment of $22.99 for a lifetime license.  Considering that is only slightly more than the monthly charge from Adobe I don't believe it is possible and that there may possibly something underhand.  They have similar offers on a whole range of Adobe products (and other comanies such as MS). Although the company has a British address it offers all products in Dollars which is very strange.  I am concerned this may not be above board.

Hi there. I'm new to LrC and just started to import into the Library. I realised the number of photos in some library folders are not the same as that shown in the winder explorer. Any suggestions to correct this? Thanks🙏

LRC (under win11) has crashed and impossible to restart. After several installations and reinstallations. And several times of having completely turned off and reopened the computer, LRC still does not restart.When uninstalling and reinstalling with the firewall disabled, still without opening LRC. I have several external applications: Luminar Neo, Nik Collection, DXO Pureraw. Should I uninstall the external applications. Thank you for your solutions

Hi,   I'm not seeing any media in import modal UI in Lightroom Classic V 13.5.1 or V 13.5. I've tried downgrading the version but still no luck. I've attached the screenshot of how the UI looks.    [moved from bugs to discussions according to the community rules - Mod.]

I am using Lightroom Classic on my GPD Pocket 3 running Windows 10 and last year i noticed the touch interface icon vanished from the bottom left corner above the scrolling galery. Did this feature get removed at some point? Is there a key combination to activate it? Previously it just worked, i didn't even had to activate tablet mode. The GPD Pocket 3 is a convertible Laptop/Lablet powered by an i7 1195G7 with the current Windows 10 and LRc installed.

I am trying to open my lightroom classic. And I get a message that there was an error and cannot open. The warning message tells me that the preview cache paths would exceed the maximum path length for my platfom. I'm clueless. What do I do to fix this?

I've recently had to import all my images from the previous 10 years (200,000+ images) to a new catalog, because the old one became impossible to use (that's a whole other story, I'll spare you the details).  In doing so, of course I lost everything I had in the cloud (I had synced over 120,000 previews to the cloud). No big deal because I have the originals on my hard drive, but I still need to have access to them from my mobile devices and on the web, so I need to re-add them to the cloud. I haven't had any success in doing so with my new catalog. I keep getting sync error messages, and now everything seems stuck. It's stuck in an endless loop of trying to sync but nothing's happening.  I tried pausing and unpausing, I've tried deleting all synced data and restarting, I've tried rebuilding sync data... nothing.  I don't know what to do anymore. I'm considering starting a new account with Adobe, and connecting my catalog to this new account... but it

In Adobe Lightroom Classic, when adjusting the White Balance of an already-edited photo in the Develop module using the keyboard arrow keys, then switching to Library mode using the keyboard shortcut, all visible adjustments disappear from the preview. Upon returning to the Develop module, all the sliders are reset to their default positions, and the image appears unedited. However, the edit history remains intact, showing all previous adjustments. Clicking on any entry in the edit history temporarily restores the correct preview of the photo corresponding to that specific entry. Restarting Lightroom resolves the issue, and the photo reappears with the correct adjustments applied.   Steps to Reproduce: Open an already-edited photo in the Develop module. Editing a series of wedding photos, auto people detection mask works perfectly on several images, and suddenly a "people not found" message appears on next ones. No position, composition or lighting changed between images. Did anybody find that issue. (V 13.5.1, windows) Tha started just today, never before.

Habitualmente disparo en RAW+JPG, con un perfil de Blanco y Negro para el JPG en mi cámara Canon.Importo a Ligthroom Classic las carpetas con ambos archivos (RAW+JPG) y en la importación seleciono la opción de "previsualizaciones incrustadas y archivo sidecar". Lightroom siempre me mostraba la preavisualización en blanco y negro (JPG) en el módulo Biblioteca (en el módulo Revelar siempre se muestran en color (RAW)), pero desde hace poco, cuando accedo a una carpeta de fotos en LR Classic, el módulo Biblioteca comienza a crear las previsualizaciones en color para las fotos que tengo en Blanco y Negro.Yo quiero poder seguir viendo las previsualizaciones en Blanco y Negro tal y como se tomó el JPG en la cámara. Alguien sabe qué configuración debo cambiar en LR para evitar que se me conviertan todas las previsualizaciones a color?Gracias.

After upgrade to 13.5.x I have noticed a slow down when navigating between photos in Loupe view. I keep my LR Catalog on an ext HDD. I also clone that HDD for backup. I recently went on a trip with the Clone HDD and used it as my main drive. When I got home I just cloned it back to the other drive and figured I was set. The drive that "was" the main user drive, now says it cannot find images. If I select an X image and locate and make sure it is "finding nearby images" it works, but not the whole drive, there are still thousands of images marked missing. The paths to both drives is the same "except" on drive is called "clone", which I have to do in order to make sure I am using the right drives when I backup. Hope that makes sense. Question is: "What is the best way to get this drive properly in sync with the catalog AND is there a better way to make sure this doesnt happen again? ThanksHenry

Hola, intento abrir una foto desde Lrc en Ps y no me deja

Recently we are using Adobe MSWindows11 in stead of MacOS because of a payment system. The students need to login/logout in Windows and Adobe. After restart all settings, pictures etc. will be deleted in order to not clog up the hard drive (privacy). The Print Templates are stored on User level so our custom Templates are gone each User logs out. Is it possible to put the Print Template Folder in the 'root' Folder?

I am using a PC lapttop and can somone help me with importing. I seem to be doing something wrong. I have been importing my photos onto an external hard drive but i'm losinging storage in windows C and not not having enough storage to finish the import. What am i doing wrong? I'm not understanding the import process it seems 🙂

Lightroom Classic ver.12.4., Windows 11. I installed lightroom on a new Windows 11 computer, and now Onedrive shows up as the location of my LR catalog in Catalog Settings as: C:\Users\myname\OneDrive\Lightroom.   I need to remove OneDrive from the location and replace it with Pictures, and I can't figure out how to do that. I want the location to read: C:\Users\myname\Pictures\Lightoom, which used to be the default location, I believe.   I disabled OneDrive, then uninstalled it from my computer. Then I copied my catalog from OneDrive to my Pictures folder.   I hope this is clear.
