Lightroom Classic

  Hello everyone! I REALLY need help with this tethering problem. I've also never tethered before. In Adobe Lightroom Classic live view I was trying to take a portrait shot. I'm shooting with a Canon 77D on a MacBook.  As you can see my live view is cropping the actual photo (1st attachment, smaller photo on the left is after the photo was taken). When I flip the live view orientation (second photo), it's no longer cropped. But that's means I'd have to flip my laptop on its side for the whole tethering session?? I can't even find this problem on Google and support has to call me back today because they couldn't figure it out (with screen share). Any help is highly appreciated, thank you!!     

After the last LR update, the Preferences menu does no longer open. LR does not crash, it simply opens without showing the Preferences window. Because it thinks the window is open, it does not let me click anywhere else but I can 'close' the imaginery preferences by pressing ESC. Every other menu seems to work. I tried de and reinstalling LR but to no avail. Then I read about resetting the preferences (hold ALT+Shift on LR Startup). This solves the initial problem, but now my whole library has lost the color coding (and probably more, I didn't check any further). Luckily I still have the old 'Lightroom Classic CC 7 Preferences.agprefs' file. If I replace the new with the old, I get my colors back but then again the preferences menu is no longer accessible. I opened the .agprefs file in a texteditor and compared new vs. old in the hope I could just copy over the important part from my old file, but the file is huge and the relevant information seems to be all over the place.&n

Hello everyone ,I uploaded ligthroom classic to v13.4 and I cant' masking people or using ai on subjects.Why? It still works on photos it was already applied to, but not on new ones.Help me, please!Giulia

New to posting to the Forum here, I'm hoping someone may have a suggestion or two that I havent already tried...lol."Lightroom encountered an error while reading its preview cache and needs to quit". I keep getting this error randomly, sometimes when switching between Develop and Library Modules. While restarting LRC (13.31)  always works, its annoying that it happens so often.My catalog and images are on an external SSD drive with updated firmware.Have have verified the integrity of the catalog and SSD drivesWindows 11, all updated-even did a clean re-install thinking maybe I had some other conflictNvidia Studio Graphic Driver updated to the latest available- turned off GPU acceleration in LRC performance settingsPlenty of memory on the graphics and computer-see system info attachedI have deleted the Previews.lrdata folder multiple timesI reset all preferencesI removed all pluginsI un-installed and re-installed Lightroom after rebuilding the operating system.Computer firmwar

Hi all I was bowled over when Generative Removal came to LrC.  In the previous release I was able to unwanted remove people and objects from my images with absolute ease.  Since I updated to 13.4 however I have not been able to sucessfully remove a single person or object from any of my new pictures. Has anyone had the same issue?   Many thanks 

Hello! 🙂 I have a big big question. Why I can't use Adobe Colour or Adobe Standard in Lightroom for Nikon Z7II? Instead I can use those profiles for Nikon D610. The details in DSRL looks different and more appropiate with the camera. Instead, the profiles for mirrorless are desaturated and dull. For Nikon Z7 i use camera standard profile but the edit is different. I like to edit more the dslr on adobe colour profile. The details look different in edit and the kelvin scale is different too... The lens i use is sigma 35 art 1.4.   First photo. with dslr Second. mirrorless   dslrmirrorlessmirrorlessdslrdslr  

Hello, I have been searching the internet and youtube for hours now trying to understand why i am not able to install the presets that ive purchased for lightroom cc. They are .xmp files, I have went into lightroom > prefrences > show lightroom presets folder, have unzipped the downloads, moved them on to my desk top and clicked and dragged them in to the "develop presets" folder on lightroom then closed lightroom, re-opened it, the folders that are named after the presets appear on the left side of lightroom but when I click on the folder to open it the little arrow points down and the presets are not in the folder/ don't appear. I have tried moving them into different folders, re-downloading the presets, etc. Most instructions online say to right click on the preset folder in lightroom and clicking on "import" then selecting the .zip file, which contain the presets, when I do this the .zip file and the .xmp files are shaded out and I am unable to click on them to import them. Lr  Classic 2024Mac Studio Apple M2 UltramacOS SonomaLG UltraFine Screen I can't see HDR results directly (new feature). I can't check the "Preview" box. 

To import I create a specific folder, copy the photographs there from the card, remove the card reader, start Lightroom and import from the folder. Lightroom then does it's thing where it processes each image, darkening each one as it goes. But recently it has started only processing the images that are currently seen in the Library Filter. To process the next group of 120 images, I have to scroll down to make them visible. I can tell this is happening because aside from the visual indicator of Lightroom darkening each image as it goes, a process monitor shows me the CPU is working hard to do so. It stops when it reaches the end of what's currently visible and will go no further. I know that it used to batch process every image in there, whether I was looking at them in the Library Filter or not. As you can see in this screenshot I have apparently selected Minimal build previews. Is this what's causing it? Will switching to Embedded/Sidecar or Normal fix this? Or is there ano

I have images from my camera that I imported into Lightroom Classic. I cropped the images to 150x100 pixels. Now, I am in the export settings. The images are for web use, so the maximum file size should be 150 KB while still maintaining the dimensions of 150x100 pixels.   but the resolution shoulden be so bad you can't make out what the image should be eighter 🙂   i have attached a screenshot of my export settings!   PLEASE HELP 

MacOS, Mac Mini, Colours, Dell  S272H, Lightroom, Photoshop In Lightroom (latest version) the colours of a simple shot obviously brighter compared to Photoshop (latest version). Colours most affected seem to bright yellow/yellow greens.The colour profiles are identical (set all to PRoPhoto). If I check the same image in Bridge, again brighter than PS.Tried all on sRGB. No change.Similarly in Serif's Affintity v.2 colours pretty well the same as LR.... All 3 much better than PS!(And I'm partially colour-blind too!)Using Mac Mini and a Dell  S272H, reprofiled using a Spyder X ProEven printing via (gulp) Epson Easy Photoprint on my old iMac are good!

I use Lightroom Classic 13.3.1 on my new Powerbook Pro and have an Epson 3880. How do I get prints to look the same as my photograph on the computer screen?

I am trying to figure out the method to method to perform "Add/Subtract Tool of the selected type" using the SDK.The current KBSC assigned to those commands are not good anymore to me and so I would rather create equivalent scripts myself to which assign my own KBSC. I would also like to create my own "Intersect Tool of the selected type" script because that command is missing. I tried to use LrDevelopController.getSelectedMaskTool ()  but it doesn't' seem to be the right choice. Can anyone enlighten me?

This is a first time issue for me.  Many images from an event shoot are showing banding in the library module (noticable on suits and plain color clothing) but are fine in develop module.  Problem is that the banding shows up in the exported jpgs - looks the same as the library version, but develop module still shows the images perfectly, no banding.  Running Windows 11 Home. Please help.

Hey guys, I'm stumped on this one. I've done everything I can think of to diagnose and I can't get LR to stay open. I'm on Windows 11 on a very fast machine.   What's happening: I open Lightroom Classic and within about 15 seconds, it just force closes. I can't see anything in Event Viewer that tells me what exactly caused the crashed.   What I've done: Uninstalled and reinstalled LR, CC (using the AdobeCreativeCloudCleanerTool as well) Diasabled GPU in preferences Updated C++ Redistro's Updated all drivers Repaired Windows Memory Scans/DISM/Hard Drive checks (all clear) Rolled back Windows Update   What else can I try?   [Moved from ‘Bugs’ to ‘Discussions’ by moderator, according to forum rules. This pertains to Point Color, using the eyedropper to pick a color, then adjusting hue, luminosity, and saturation. a. If I do that in the general (not masking) panel, when I make changes to a color, I can click the “eye” on and off to see the how the color differs. AND as I toggle, the numbers selected for the ranges appear and disappear and reappear, represented of the changes applied. b. If I do that inside of a mask, when I make changes to a color, I can click the “eye” on and off to see the how the color differs. HOWEVER, as I toggle, the numbers selected for the ranges disappear and do not return. 

It is my understanding that the processing available in Lr is the same as LrC. Yet, this differs when adding a vignette to a photo…LrC has a heading of Post-Crop Vignetting; and then the ability to select the Style from a dropdown arrow.     WHILELr simply calls it Vignette and does not have the ability to select a Style.Is that difference intentional, or will Lr be updated to reflect LrC?

I use Portfolio for multiple websites I manage and I have to say I'm generally very happy with the solution. However one major limitation is the ability to optimise the site for SEO. I use synched albums on my site and have keywords in all my photos, but I wish to add more desciption for SEO in the "Alt Text" option. In the images I have I can only do this in the caption field. But I don;t want to have the full desciption that I would add in "Alt Text" to be displayed as a caption. So how to resolve this ?And how do I know my keywords are still present in the Metadata ?

Bonjour Je dispose d' Adobe Lightroom, version [1149743] avec Camera Raw 10.1 J'ai fais l'aquisition d'un fujifilm X-S10 qui produit des fichiers RAF Je les transfert en DNG pour pouvoit les ouvrir dans Lightroom (ce qui fonctionne toujours bien avec d'autres appareils) Ils se transforment alors en Noir et blanc automatiquement et ce que dans lightroom. Ils gardent leurs propriétés couleurs dans un autre dérawtiseur. Last night I was working on a set of photos and using the AI Denoise relatively frequently. Not sure if it is related, but I've lost at least 4 full edits in this set already in 1-2 hours of working on this catalog. Is it possible the catalog is corrupt (I created a new catalog for this import, so that any existing issues with another catalog wouldn't affect it), or is it because of using AI Denoise, or would this have anything to do with the photos living on an external drive vs the local hard drive? I cannot for the life of me figure out what the problem is, but definitely cannot keep spending time on edits that disappear spontaneously. Never had this issue with Lightroom Classic before but I have seen it in Capture One once before. Quite simply put, a photo will suddenly revert to its original state without any of its edits and I believe I have not touched or done anything. There is no "undo" option. The edits are just lost and I've rebuilt them each time this happened.&nb

The adaptive presets to blur the background look great. However, using them really slows Lightroom down when previewing the presets and when making other changes after appyling a preset, especially with masks. The presets are a great feature I'd like to use more, but I'm selective with when I use them since using them increases my editing time a lot. If there's a way to decrease the lag time with these presets, that would be very helpful.
