Lightroom Classic

Hi everyone,   I hope the collective knowledge here can help me.   Currently, I am having issues with syncing my catalog with Dropbox. I'm working with Adobe Lightroom Classic and Dropbox doesn't sync some .db files. The problem occurs when I open my catalog stored in Dropbox.   I have been using Dropbox and Lightroom for years without any issues until Dropbox made the upgrade. Now there is an "CloudStorage" folder in my Library.   In Finder, everything has a green checkmark, but at the top on the Dropbox symbol, a red number appears, indicating that previews.db and root-pixels.db cannot be synced.   The only way I can synchronize the files without any issues is by moving them from Dropbox to my desktop, editing them there, exiting Lightroom, and then moving them back to Dropbox. With this approach, I don’t get any error messages regarding the .db files.   Here are some details about my equipment: iMac 27 inch 2019 macOS Sonoma 14.5 Adobe Lightroom

I purchased a new computer (Windows 11), installed LRC 13.3, and imported my old LR 5.0 catalogue. None of the folders known to LR 5 are linked in LRC 13, but these can easily be redirected. My concern is that the internal C drive of the new computer is not known to LRC. Therefore I cannot import, move, or redirect photos on the new computer. Further, I cannot navigate during Import or create new folders in Library. I suspect that after the import of the LR 5 catalogue LRC is looking for the C drive on the old computer. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I was aware of the GPU issue on the Mac, so I disabled it. The real issue started when I was rearranging my keywords. Then, the keywords themselves disappeared. After that, I could not close the program, and it would freeze up. Support tried to help, but it never fixed the issue. I have tried going back a couple of versions. Right now, I'm at 13.2, and the same thing just freezes up after I load some photos and try and quit. Maybe I need to get rid of everything related to Adobe and clear everything off my Mac? Should I start over? I have sent in many crash reports now, so hopefully, there is a record. Please help.   [Moved from ‘Bugs’ to ‘Discussions’ by moderator, according to forum rules. Every time I launch Lightroom photo book I get this error message sfntread library error. i have tried to reset the program and nothing has changedRodneyThanks        

Upgraded LRC today along with a new catalog. MacBook Pro, Sonoma 14.5 Uploaded images from card as usual, flagged my keepers and opened them in Develop to see this screen.I don't even know what to call it, but it's covered in raggedy color bars.

I am using the latest version of Lightroom Classic and I am importing 21 photos from a Nikon Zfc camera. Lightroom will import 15 of the photos with no issues but 6 photos are not copied and I receive this error message - "photos will not be renamed as they are missing or not writeable".  You cannot later go and rename them as the 6 files are not actually there. I do see a preview. but that's all. The 15 that were imported can be renamed and edited I have tried two card readers and I have the same problem. I even copied the files to the desktop and imported them to Lightroom but I still have the problem.  I can view and edit all the files in Nikon NX Studio. I have tried SD two SDHX cards - San Disk Extreme Pro and Lexar Professional. All the same problem. I have other Nikon cameras such as a Nikon Z8 and I have no problems importing and renaming photos. So, the problem is specific to the Nikon Zfc files. I cannot get out of full screen mode and resize the LR window so it takes up only part of the screen.If I move the cursor to the top, the normal menu bar (Apple Lightroom File .... ) appears, but it does not have the red / green normal buttons for resizing the window.Meanwhile, Window > Screen Mode shows "Normal" checked.Escape key, restart of LR, or even reboot do not change a thing. I had the same problem with an earlier version of LR. Upon upgrading to the latest version, the problem was fixed for a while, but it reappeared again. I am running LR Classic 8.2 on Mac OS 10.14. Hallo!Nachdem ich meine komplette Fotosammlung in LrC migriert habe, fällt mir folgende Besonderheit im Zusammenhang mit Vorschauen auf. Bis vor kurzem wusste ich nichts von Standard-Vorschauen und eingebetteten Vorschauen usw. - in der Zwischenzeit habe ich mich aber ein bisschen schlau gemacht.Bei allen Fotos als JPG (iPhone's, DJI, usw.) sowie bei allen NEF's meiner diversen Nikon Kameras entsprechen die Vorschauen dem in den Kameras eingestellten Bildformat bzw. Sensor (2:3, 16:9) - kein Hinweis auf "eingebettete Vorschauen".Bei allen RAW's meiner Panasonic GX-80 finde ich den Hinweis "eingebettete Vorschau". Die Vorschau hat das Format 2:3 und ist in schlechter Qualität. Wenn ich nun in LrC eine "Standard-Vorschau" erstelle, verbessert sich natürlich die Qualität der Vorschau - allerdings im Format 16:9. Auch wenn ich in die Einzelansicht oder in den Entwicklungsmodus wechsle, bleibt das Bild 16:9 und es fehlen mir einige Bildbereiche, die in der "eingebetteten Vorschau" noch sich

Hi,I am trying to locate some photos from a 2015 Grand Canyon trip that are in my Lightroom Classic Catalog. I know they are there or at least Lightroom believes they are there because I can't import them for this reason. However I am unable to find them anywhere in the Catalog. I have searched by Keywords, and by Date, with no luck. More interesting is that the folder is also nowhere to be seen on the left hand side. I can see the external harddrive they're on, but the folder titled "Grand Canyon 2015" is just missing not grayed out but completely gone, therefore I can not Sync the folder. I also can't add the folder because it belives it to already be there. If anyone can lend some light on this issue and maybe some possible solutions I would be greatful.

All Photos in the Catalog have an exclamation symbol without the pictures/Images I have 2766 images and when I updated my backup H/D I must have hit something in error.At 81 years old it is not hard for me to make a computer mistake, LLOLI tried to use the backup which is 2 weeks old, that did not work and even a previous B/P one.I have all the pictures on my computer in a folder called Lightroom in pictures, I believe that is generrated by LR, it has all the NEF and xmp files to the photos.I also have other Tiff and jPeg files as well in the catalog.The folders also now have question marks.If I click on the exclamation point it asked to locate the file, having 2700+ images there should be a way to get them all changed at one time, doing one at a time would take a very long time with the hope that I would get them all.I 

I have 4000+ photos on my iPhone. I am trying to import a few hundred at a time into Lightroom Classic.I always used to be able to select a group of consecutive photos together but over the past few days the batch select doesn't work.I have to Uncheck All and then check one photo at a time to select for Import!!!What is wrong that I can't select multiple images at once? How to fix/get around this?I just upgraded my Lightroom Classic catalog to 13-4.Mac Mini with Sonoma 14.4.1

I use several apps with LrC, three of which are from Topaz AI.  Two work fine and are in the menu Photo>Edit In> {App name}. But when I follow this path, one is  missing from the menu, Topaz AI DeNoise. I tried to add it with the LrC plugin manager, but Topaz AI DeNoise is GRAYED OUT. Please advise how I can add it to LrC.   BTW, I am using an iMac with the latest OS. LrC is release 13.4

I hadn't been on Lightroom classic for over a week. I uploaded several photos from my phone to the cloud and they instantly synced to the cloud and also with Classic. I then tried to sync 17 photos from Classic to the cloud. I started last night and the blue sync button just keeps going round and round and round. After an hour last night I switched it of and resumed this morning and it's being going for another hour and still 17 photos to sync. Just as a test I uploaded another photo from my phone to the cloud and that instantly synced with classic.So the problem is Classic to the cloud. Now I say "up to its old tricks" because I have noticed this same behaviour in the past. Whenever I have gone for a significant period of not using Lightroom the first syncs take forever. It's as if I have been put at the back of the syncing queue.

Cant save or print  a photo I have added masks too.  LRC saves and prints the orginal pic w/o the masks.  Any ideas on what I am missing would be appreciated.

I tried resetting preferences and I can't get it to open at all. I used it a week ago and uploaded some new photos that I didn't edit with no issues and today I can't get it to open.

Hi all hope you can help , i use Nikon Snapbridge which in turn uploads to apple photos from there i use lightroom ipad to select images to upload to Lightroom classic on the i mac . They have always been done in the order they were capture but of late they have uploaded with images taken previously going back 12 months if anyone can offer any advice i would be grateful. All devices are running the latest versions

Bonsjour,J'utilise 2 catalogues Lightroom Classic. Un catalogue a la synchronisation Cloud activée, tout est OK.Pour l'autre catalogue, je ne veux pas de synchronisation Cloud. Or, depuis quelques jours, à chaque fois que j'utilise ce catalogue, Lr me signale au démarrage que je ne peux synchroniser qu'un seul catalogue et bloque mon démarrage avec un message que je ne voudrais plus voir.... : "Voulez-vous synchroniser ce catalogue à la place ?"Et je suis renvoyé vers l'onglet de paramétrage "Lightroom Synchronisation", dans et avec lequel je ne trouve pas comment "NE PAS SYNCHRONISER" !!!Comment paramétrer Lr Classic 13.3 pour "NE PAS SYNCHRONISER TEL CATALOGUE" ?Merci pour votre aide.Marc 

Despues de actualizar Lightroom Clasic no tengo nada en biblioteca. < NO hay imagenes

Hello, I have imported a couple hunderd pictures in LRC. But some photo's are not showing up. If i Sync the folder he said there are couple new photo's. But while sync he said no new photo's. I have already tryd the search, unstack, but no resolts. I cant also try to inport them again because he said is already imported....
