Lightroom Classic

When I open Lightroom (Mac) I can't import any kind of photo. When I click on "Import file" it appears this.If I try to search this folder on my laptop it doesn't exist anymore. Can someone help me?I tried to re-install lightroom, to reset settings, to install a new version of lightroom or an older one.I tried to change the permission of account and users for lightroom but nothing helped. I don't know waht to do anymore and I have a near deadline for some work...

I have older macbook whis mac OS Catalina 10.15.7 and i cant instal older version of Lr Classic from Creative Cloud

I am sure i broke it some how 😞 As you can see it adds a 2024 foldr under 2024.  Where cn I change this?    

I purchased Lightroom 6 (not CC) and have a serial number for it. I just purchased a new laptop and want to install. Went to My Account and Orders, and downloaded from that link. Everything downloaded fine, but when I went to enter my serial number and I got this response in a yellow box: This serial number is not for a qualifying product. Please try another. Underneath there is a dropbox with a selection, however, the list of "qualifying products" is Lightroom 1-5! What the heck is going on? I don't understand why this download from my account isn't working... can anyone help?

Bonjour à toutes et à tous,Aprés un fonctionnement parfais jusqu'à présent. Tout ce qui comporte un lien avec l'IA se termine par une erreure dans lightroom. Que ça soit le débruitage, le flou d'objectif ou certains "presets". L'analyse commece et renvoie sustématiquement une erreure "Une erreure inatendue s'est produite et la demande n'a pu être traitée". J'ai réinitialisé toutes les options à l'état par défaut, rien n'a changé. J'ai réinstallé LrC, pas de changement. Au niveau matériel, rien n'est changé depuis des mois (même si mon système est un peu faible, ça a touours fonctionné raisonablement). Peut-être une mise à jour de windows 11 ??? La derniére mise à jour effectuée est la "2024-04 Mise à jour cumulative pour Windows 11 Version 24H2 pour les systèmes x64 (KB5036908)".Merci d'avance pour des pistes de résulution du probléme eventuelles.

Recent updates to LR and PS to most current versions on my M1 Studio desk top has severed the connections between the two applications. In my LR preferences dialouge box for external editors, LR states that it can not find Photoshop, and therefore I can not entere a version in the selection box.  PS runs independetly just fine.  Topaz plug ins are still recognized but not PS. How to re connect so I can 'edit in' PS again.  Thanks   Also I have dumped and reinstalled fresh versions of both LR and PS to try and correct the situations  to no avail.  THanks again in advance for any help offered.    [moved from bugs to discussions according to the community rules - Mod.]

For some reason when people are masked there is this horrible pixely mess around the edge.  Not sure why this should be so.Like Capture One can there not be some control over tidying this up.  They have refine! Also you could blend the edge better and give us some control as it's time consuming to do it by hand.  Almost quicker to select the person by hand first, which defeats the objects of the auto mask!

Il semble y avoir un bug dans l'utilisation de courbes de tonalité sur LrC (version 13.2 sur un macbook pro 2015 en macOS 12.7.4) : lorsque l'on clique pour créer un point sur la courbe et qu'on le déplace pour ajust er les tonalités, le curseur revient à sa position initiale une fois la souris relâchée... Pas moyen de faires réglages sans entrer une valeur en input et en output. Merci d'avance pour des proposition de solution 

UPDATEI feel rather silly now.  Just realised that I was directly trying to open a zipped folder without unzipping.  I'll leave this post here though in the event that it helps someone else. My Windows 10 computer died recently. It had two storage disks in Raid 1 (so perfect duplicates of each other).  On those storage disks I backed up the LR Classic catalogue and everything seems to have been salvaged.  My new Windows 11 PC doesn't have Raid but I have successfully copied everything from the old raid drive to the new (single) SSD. However when I try to open the back up catalogue from LR Classic it doesn't appear at all.  When I double click from Windows explorer I get ... Of course I have ensure that all the files are accessible and I've run LR Classic as Administrator.  But nothing I do seems to make a difference.  Anyone out there have a solution please?  

Hello all! I am having a problem with files I deleted form the Lightroom catalogue but not from my drive. How do I remove the images on my drive that are no longer in my catalogue?I tried re-importing, sellecting them all and choosing remove from Lightroom and drive but the are not beeing deleted on the drive.Thanks!

I am having problems with importing and exporting files after the last update, files not going to expected destinations last lot appeared on a  different Drive to where itwas supposed to be , Exporting likewise problem has the defaults changed ??    I'm using 13.2 version  LRC all operations seem slower than normal Iwindows 10   mg  .32mg  ram sold state HDD.I shoot sport on season to season Last year was easy and speedy enough, I don't know what has changed.GL

Hallo zusammen, gibt es eine Möglichkeit, Originaldateien eines LR-Katalogs nachträglich automatisch umbenennen zu lassen? Beim Import kann man ja z. B. das Aufnahmedatum in den Dateinamen integrieren lassen. Aber was ist, wenn man schon Fotos im Katalog mit Anpassungen hat und die Dateinamen entsprechen nicht dem eigenen Standard? Also die Dateinamen enthalten eben nicht z. B. das Aufnahmedatum. Klar, ich kann jede einzeln in LR umbenennen. Aber gibt es irgendwo einen Automatismus? Oder zumindest einen akzeptablen Workflow? Export und re-Import? Bei Rohdaten mit XMP-Dateien wegen der Entwicklungseinstellungen? Aber die hätten ja auch erstmal den falschen Namen. Da gibt´s doch bestimmt Erfahrungswerte.

Al momento de Aplicar la reduccion de ruido a una secuencia de fotos. despues de cierto tiempo, la foto aparece junto con una copia con la reduccion de ruido realizada y y aparecen acomodadas de cierta manera, archivo mejorado - original, archivo mejorado - original (en esa secuencia) hoy mienstras aplicaba eso, se acomodaron de manera que estuvieras todas los archivos con la reduccion aplicada en secuencia y no como siempre que aparecen una y una o a veces se va el archivo mejorado hasta el final..mi duda es que tengo que hacer para que salgan asi siempre : todas las fotos con la reduccion puesta juntdas? acomodarlas de esa manera? espero no me funen.. gracias

The AI masking feature is a dream when editing, making it super time efficient editing large projects where the client is given several images from the same scene, to choose what they want to put up on their wall and in their albums.  But I do have an issue that IS rather time consuming and where, as far as I know, the masking AI isn't present. And it's brush masking.  I copy and paste the adjustments on every image, and have to move, add and subtract the brush layer on every single image, even if it's the same scene and almost the same poses – but I've maybe moved a bit or the subjects may have moved a bit. You know the drill. The AI features has no issue identifying subject and background if that type of mask is selected, when pasting it in to an image that even has a whole other structure. But even WITH AI-masking selected, and then subtracting the mask to only the part I want adjusted, when the mask is applied to the same place on the next image, it's

Working the latest version of LR classic and PS on an Acer desktop, windows 11. I imported a Tiff file into Lightroom. It's a large file because when I tried to copy and paste portions of it, the source file was too small. there weren't enough pixels. So have the same file with like a hundred icons and I want to edit it in PS but then I go to Photo, the edit in PS is grayed out. The open as layers is still an option. Is that what I am meant to do? When I use the HDR Merge feature, Lightroom saves everything into a new HDR image file (.dng). But looking at the properties, I noticed that this file is much smaller than the original raw file. I would like to know if it loses quality, in case I later want to print large formats, and if there are any settings to change, to obtain better quality files

When I go to use the crop tool, it shows me the previous image that I cropped and will not crop the image that I'm wanting to currently do

I tried to send an e-mail to Adobe, but they do not make it easy.  I'm still searching for the support e-mail address -- so I will make this comment public.  Adobe, it doesn't seem to matter how fast your computer hardware is, Lightroom Classic is still painfully slow and a poorly optimized piece of software.  I absolutely hate using it.  Adobe, somoene else is going to step in and make something better.  This software is horrible.  You've had years to make this run better, but it keeps getting worse!  Please don't tell me to optimize my catalog, because that's not it!  It's you!  

Is there a way to find images that do not have a face definded? I have a folder with several thousand images that have faces defined on all but four images. They all should have a face. The only way I know to find these four images is to step through each image and check for a face. I'm hoping for a faster way. 

Lightroom v13.2 on Macbook Air/MacOS Sonoma v14.2.1 isn't letting me create any new masks.   When I try to create any mask of any kind, it will VERY quickly show the "Detecting Subject/Sky/Object.." dialog, flash the Mask toolbar for a second then does nothing.   No new mask, no anything. Want yo apply the same settings (say, White Balance, Vibrance, Saturation, etc.) to multiple photos. I am following the instructions from How to batch edit in Photoshop Lightroom - Adobe -- and it appears to not work.  After copying the settings using Shift+Ctrl+C, and selecting multiple other photos using Ctrl + click, Pressing Ctrl + V only pastes the settings to the first picture in the selection and not to the rest.Am I missing something or is this a bug?

It's happening again!  Lightroom is not letting me edit externally in photoshop. I have a mac version sonoma   I have uninstalled and re-installed in the proper order.  I have checked the preferences an made sure it says photoshop 2024   HELP!   [Moved from ‘Bugs’ to ‘Discussions’ by moderator, according to forum rules. So I keep experiencing an issue with Lightroom crashing on occasion and it tells my there was a problem with the catalog and needs to relaunch. Upon relaunching it says it needs to repair the catalog and then restart which always works fine. This morning I noticed there is a folder on that drive that says "corrupt catalogs" which has around 7 catalogs in it.  Each one is over a gig is this folder OK to delete? The main catalog still exsist not in said folder but I see these as just taking up space

I have used this feature with no problem and now suddenly it isn't working at all.  All it does now is sync the exposure levels, not adjusting each image to match the total exposure.  I have closed and repoened LR and  it is still the same.  I am not getting an error message.

How can I deactive lightroom when it's not installed on any other systemI have lightroom 6 and after a rebuild of my desktop I'm getting an error about reachign the maximum number of activations.
