When opening the plug-in Negative Lab Pro, there are two dialogues that open in succession. First a loading bar (too quick to screenshot), then the editing dialogue. At some point, without updating the plug-in, there started to be a delay when opening the editing dialogue. When I press "Plug-In Extras" -> "Negative Lab Pro" the loading dialogue pops up immediately and briefly, then there is about 5 seconds of delay where nothing happens. During this, Lightroom is either frozen or has nothing clickable (as if the plug-in dialogue were already open). This happens when selecting RAW files from any camera I have tried. I have found that during this time, a single CPU thread goes to 100% utilisation for the full delay, and then returns to normal once the dialogue has popped up. There is also a shorter spike when closing the dialogue. RAM usage does not spike or ever reach 100% I have tried re-installing Lightroom, re-installing the plug-in, rolling back Lightroom to m

Hi, Anyone know what causes this? In Library all is normal, when I switch to devellop these lines and scratches show up. Tried closing the application, the computer, re-importing the files but same thing keeps happening.
Windows 11 and Lightroom Classic...all updated.I import my NEF files into Lightroom and when viewed on the filmstrip appear one way and yet once selected, they flip to a darker version of the image. Trying to understand why? When it happens, I can click History and it shows White Balance As Shot and then the time and date of the import. Why is this white balance as shot appearing? I checked the import settings and Develop Settings are set to None.
When I attempt to delete a photo from any of my catalogs that have been updated to v13-3 from the previous version, LR crashes. The catalogs I created after the update work perfectly fine when deleting images. I have thousands of rejected photos that I need to delete to free up hard drive space, but I can't figure out a workaround or how to fix this issue. I've tried EVERYTHING. Error report is attached. Hello,Do you also have problems with the Metadata Wrangler - Plugin under LRC 13.4? I use (under LRC 13.4) the Piwigo Export Plug-in (http://alloyphoto.com/plugins/piwigo/) in combination with LR/Mogrify 2 (https://www.photographers-toolbox.com/products/lrmogrify2.php) and Jeffrey Friedl's “Metadata Wrangler” Export Filter (https://regex.info/blog/lightroom-goodies/metadata-wrangler). This always worked well up until LRC version 13.1. Since LRC 13.4, however, the "Metadata Wrangler" has been causing me problems. As soon as I try to hide "Individual Exif Items", I get error messages. An attempt to upload the log file to Jeffrey's server only gave me a 404 error. I seem to remember that there was a similar problem with LRC 13.0. But it disappeared with LRC 13.1.How is it for you? Does Jeffrey Friedl's “Metadata Wrangler” export filter work (under 13.4) properly for you?
Hi. Could someone please help me! How can I delete files in Lightroom Classic - which has been deletet in the cloud based Lightroom (collection synced with LRC). When I delete several photos in cloud based LR, they just dissapear from the collection - not from LRC itself - still showing up in the catalog. Thanks for your assistant. Kind regards, Magne (Norway)
I just bought a brand new Macbook Pro M3 running on Sonoma 14.5 and using LrC for tethering capture. However, it is unable to detect my Canon R5 (Firmware V2.0.0). On rare occassions when it get connected, it is very unstable. It works for a few shots and then get disconnected again. I have tried a different tether cable, it is still the same. I tried using EOS Utility and it is able to detect the camera immediately. Anyone having the same issue? Is there a solution or is it Sonoma 14.5 compatilaibity issue? I clicked on "Find all missing Photos" and turns out that I have over 2,600 missing photos. I'm sure that it is due to me moving files and changing folder names over the course of several years. Is there a way to have Lightroom automatically locate and re-link photos? I'm using the current version of Lightroom Classic.
Hello, thank you all for supporting me. I am using Lightroom Classic 13.3.1 on a Mac BookPRo M2 based. I have several photos in which I 'm resizing a portion of them, for example to focus attention on subject and avoid objects around it. Because of this the portion of the picture is smaller than the original size and when I add these photo into the Lightroom Slideshow (or even iMovie) I get a smaller image on video. I wonder if this community can help me on how to get the images in full size video within the final Slideshow/video. Thank you
Hello,Following the transfer of Photoshop and Lightroom from iMac to a new Mac Studio with M2 Max chip, using Mac OS Sonoma 14.4., I experience the following problem: while in Lightroom choosing edit in photoshop, photoshop opens but the picture file from Lightroom will not open. The following message appears: Could not open file, because the file is locked, or because I do not have the necessary rights (to the file), or the file is used by a different program. I have never experienced this before. How do I solve it? All my pictures are stored on the same external discs as before. The preferences in LR are exactly the same as previously. Currently I have LR Classic 13.4 and PS 25.9Sven F
I created a new catalog, then decided to delete it before importing images. I made the mistake of dragging the .lrdata files to trash to delete rather than doing so within the catalog. Now I still show aliases of the .lrcat file, data, previews and helper. How do I get rid of them?
I have LR Classic for Mac Sonoma 14.5. I have a keyboard with touch ID, and normally, when I hit that key, the Mac lock screen shows up, followed within seconds by the screen darkening. I have found, only lately, that LR Classic being on keeps the lock screen on. The screen never shuts off. I was able to isolate LRC being the culprit. This has never happened before. I've restarted the machine, etc., but nothing helps but quitting LRC. Any ideas? Thanks.
Hi Group! I have a number of smart collections I've created to process my family pictures every month. The smart collections work great, but, my issue is the date range. Let's say I have 15 smart collections to do my processing. That means I need to update all 15 smart collections to set the date range for the month I want. This solution is OK, but, it would be much better if smart collections could be "nested" or "connected" somehow so that that the search criteria of different smart collections can be combined. That way I would be able to change the date range in just a single smart collection. It may look something like this:Does anyone know if I can do something similar to this or hack it in some way in Lightroom Classic? If not, maybe a plugin? Thanks!
Lightroom Classic is not opening. Photoshop and Bridge open right away. I'm not sure what the issue is. I did notice a corupt catalog folder in the lightroom folder, but I'm not sure what that means. I've tried to uninstall and install again and also reset the preferences.
Hey everyone! For some week now, i have a Problem with Lightroom Classic that takes the joy away to edit some Pics. I am on Windows 10 with the Latest Stable Version of Lightroom (12.4). When i open LR CC and crop a Picture with the Tool (Hotkey R) i can do everything as iam used to it. When i press enter Once to accept the changes and go back to make some Changes either in the same image or in any other Image, I get a Preview of the Old Image without anything happening when i try to rotate or else. This can be fixed by Restarting LR CC until i crop another Image and then need to restart again and so on. Very annoying Problem. I recorded a Short Video as i feel i cant describe it with Words very well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XYlFt8HoTIk Help is very much appreciated, as iam losing the Joy of editing slowly with having to restart so often. Best Regards! Timo
URGENT HELP / SUPPORT NEEDED Im Having the same issues with RAW files (.ARW).My work flow includes me dragging from Photomechanic (as I shoot a lot of sports, and I set my Metadata there), and I see the failure / Error message (pic below) when hitting the import button in LRC .As a work around, I moved the selection of raw images in to a seperate folder, and tried to import from there... and faced the same issue. Im not quite convinced that the files have been corrupted as I can see the photos through other applications (PS, Photo Mechanic, and even lightroom itself, however it just seems to error out on the import. Lightroom Classic version: 13.4 [ 202406181129-60d181b7 ]MacOS 14.5 With "Use Graphics Processor" set to Auto or Custom and an LG 27" 5K UltraFine display connected via Thunderbolt, cropping, zooming, and panning around when zoomed are incredibly slow. It can take 5 seconds or longer to move one side of a crop box and have the display update, though the lag seems very variable - occasionally it's less than a second, and then on the next image it's many seconds. My MacBook Pro is pretty well spec'd out (see below), and this only recently started happening, so I don't believe my hardware is under-powered. If I disconnect the LG external monitor and only work on the MacBook Pro display, the problem goes away. If I connect the external monitor but close the laptop lid, the problem goes away. If I turn off Use Graphics Processor in the Preferences with both displays active the problem goes away, however in this instance while cropping and zooming become responsive again, usi
Hi, When importing media from mobile devices, I ended up with a lot of files under the wrong folders. I'm creating a Library plugin to relocate them based on capture time. My strategy is to call LrCatalog.addPhoto() on the file path and that has worked nicely in my testing. Now I have 2 copies of the same file in LR, the original copy in the wrong directory and the new copy. Is there a way to achieve something like LrCatalog.removePhoto() to get rid of the old copy? I know I can remove the file with LrFileUtils, but how to update the catalog? ThanksYi
I am on Mac having latest Lr versions installed but synchronisation doesn't work correct as synchronisation doesn't sync all photos. It seems to stuck on some pictures and for hours the blue spinning synchronisation icon appears on lr classic. stoping and restarting lr classic doesn't solve. As well not deleting the synchronisation file which is in same folder as catalog. hence wondering what needs to be done
Hi guys, I work on a MacBook Pro under macOS Sonoma 14.5. I recently got my laptop repaired and it's the first time I use Lightroom since then. I need to edit photos that were sent to me, they are in my download foder in .arw. When I am in the import section, find the folder and select it, a loading icon appears (screenshot) but the preview section is empty which makes it impossible to import any photo. I tried dragging and droping one photo to see if it would make a difference but it doesn't. Help! [Moved from ‘Bugs’ to ‘Discussions’ by moderator, according to forum rules. When I import DNG Android files into LrC on my MacBook Pro (OS Sonoma 14.4.1) it causes a colour & exposure shift - Why? I'm attaching two files. The first one with the green tinge shows the file after importing into LrC. The second one is how it looks from my Samsung phone into Mac Photos App. I use a Samsung S24 Ultra android phone.
