Lightroom Classic

Hi all,I came across some issues when importing RAW files from my Nikon Z9 into LR. I did some searching and I've seen similar problems, so that's why I would like to share what I found. And it seems that other questions pop up when searching through this issue, so advice is welcome! My original problem:when I import RAW images - made by my Nikon Z9 - into LR, I see in the develop mode that automatic adjustments are made (cfr screenshots).> the adjustments include exposure, contrast, white balance, vibrancy, excessive sharpening and noise reduction> the amount of adjustments vary from photo to photo, on one photo the noise reduction is higher than on another photo, the same with other adjustments.> the adjustments only take place on the RAW images, not on the JPG version My actions so far:Nikon Z9- Picture Control is set to Auto with all settings set to 0- Active D-Lighting is set to OFF- high ISO noise reduction is set to OFF Lightroom Classic- in the RAW

I have 1800 photos in the adobe cloud taken with my iphone 13 that have already been synched to LRC on my desktop. Unfortunately, I have lost the copy of these images made on an external HD during the import process. On LRC these images are in my synched photos file. Is there some way I can reimport these synched photos so that I can have a new copy sent to a new external HD where I now store my photos?

Hey-- I searched everwhere I could to find a solution to the problem of Lightroom freezinf as soon as I entered the Import pictures screen. I was temted to throw a house brick at me computer.  TRrying older versions, going back to old restore points all useless Finally uninstalling Lightroom completely--- Got rid of old catalogue files anf all that was listed in the options for un installing. Reinstalled the program, had to recatalogue all my photos but the problem appears to have been solved. When the Camera Raw default for a camera sets the profile to Camera Neutral or Camera Landscape, toggling B&W on and then off leaves WB changed to Custom with Temp = 5001 and Tint = 10, regardless of the photo or camera. This doesn't occur when the Camera Raw default is set to Adobe Default.   1. Hi,   I use Lightroom Classic with a Hungarian keyboard and I would like to be able to see the original state of the photos. I can do this with the Y key, but the \ key doesn't work (on my Hungarian keyboard it's the AltGr + Q key). I have read many articles and many forum posts about this error. It seems that this is a common error with national character keyboards (I have read about such a problem with e.g. German and Dutch keyboards as well). In a couple of places, I came across such a evasive solution proposal that a configuration file must be created under Lightroom and the new hotkey can be entered in one line. I tried this too (maybe wrongly), but it didn't help either. I have the latest version of everything on my machine. I use Widows 11 in Hungarian, with a Hungarian keyboard. Maybe it would be worth combining the related forum posts, or if there is a workaround that works in all languages, then make it public. Of course, it would be best if Lightroom handled keyboards c

An 2018 problem that seems to have re-emerged.  My most recent Book will no longer save changes to layout; I can change photos in the existing layout but adding pages, changing text fields, etc are lost whenever I leave that book collection.  I have made 24+ books in Lightroom over the years so I know what I am doing, anfd I cannot find a way around this.  I have verified the catalog several times, run the backup so it checks and optimises the catalog, duplicated the book, exported the book as a catalog & verified, tried LR v14.5 and 14.0 but still will not save changes.,  I have created a new, separate book in the same catalog and that is working; only this particular book is the problem.  If I add a blank page it sometimes gives an error "invalid page number position" or "... referenced" so somethings seems corrupted but the calatog verifies fine.  I have gone back to earlier version of the catalog but the only version that works is before I made ver

Custom video export presets installed by LrExportSettings.addVideoExportPresets() don't appear in the Export window when LR's language is set to any language except English.     This bug prevents users of my Any Video Preset plugin from using it in any language except English.   To reproduce on LR 14.2 / Mac OS 15.3.2:   1. Brush strokes made with the Remove tool appear in the wrong place on a portrait image, rotated 90 degrees counter-clockwise. This occurs in LR 13.4 / Windows 11, but it doesn't occur on Mac OS 14.5.   To reproduce:   1. The smart-collection/filter criterion Has Raw Details doesn't match proprietary raw photos with Denoise or Super Resolution applied in LR 14.4, even though the Develop > Detail panel shows Raw Details checked, and even though Has Raw Details matches Denoise and Super Resolution DNGs created by LR 14.3.   To reproduce on LR 14.4 / Mac OS 15.5:   1. The command Metadata > Revert Capture Time To Original truncates the fractional seconds of the original capture time. This affects people who shot bursts that were synced to LR Cloud by LR 14.1.   To reproduce on LR 14.1.1 / Mac OS 14.6. 1:   1. Import the attached JPEG. When copying Lens Blur settings from a master photo to a virtual copy, or vice versa, the Focus On Subject setting is ignored.    To reproduce on LR 14.5 / Mac OS 15.5:   1. Meine Bilder werden sei jeher in der Datenstruktur Jahr/Monat/Tag in Lightroom classic angezeigt. Seit einem Neustart des Programms werden im Datenbaum hinter der Jahresdatei sowie hinter der Monatsdatei jeweils 0 Bilder angezeigt obgleich in der Unterdatei "Tag"  Bilder vorhanden sind. Was ist da falsch gelaufen und wie kann ich das reparieren?

Since upgrading to Lightroom 14.0.1, I have a bunch of files that LR is giving me this error message "Lightroom has encountered problems reading this photo". It is occurring on random (but several) files. I can see them correctly when I open them using Nikon software, so I know the files themselves are not corrupt. But I can't open them (RAW files) in LR or PS. Please help. I have the files backed up on alternative EHD but I am seeing the same error on the same files. Thanks in advance

Version 14.5.1Windows Hello I am trying to open my LRC catalog and it never opens. I have tried to unintall but it will not let me becasue it lightroom is open. When I look in my task manager it is not running. I have resarted mt computer mulitple times.     This is remains on my screen untill i shut off my computer and then comes back when I try and open the catalog again.

I use the lightroom book module to make some pretty long albums (Like hundreds of pictures).  Earlier this week I installed the update, and now I can't filter the pictures in a saved book to only show unused photos.  This is critical when I'm using hundreds of pictures.  How do I fix it?

I have a Smart Collection as shown I presume the 'all' match is an AND operator on the rules, but I'm getting images that are in collections.  Am I missing something here.   Also, on the filter bar under Attributes I had the virtual copy selected and thought that may have had something to do with it, but disabling the filter bar didn't change anything.   Thanks for any insight.
