Very small feature request; when exporting large batch of photos, and Lightroom Classic in minimized, hovering my cursor over its icon in the taskbar (Windows 11) shows the percentage completed, but upon maximizing the application, that percentage is nowhere to be seen, even when hovering the cursor above LR icon in the task bar. I’m requesting the percentage completed is shown adjacent to the export progress bar.
As a long term user of Lightroom Classic, it is great to see AI enabled object selections. Makes the workflow of a property photographer much easier, so THANK YOU for that. One object we often need selected is WINDOWS (excluding the window frame) to enable us to match the indoor exposure with the brighter outdoors. At the moment, this is achieved by selecting a window pane using the object selection tool, the adding every other window pane to the selection before reducing the exposure. It would be GREAT if a feature could be implemented where there is an AI text prompt for object selection where we could type “select window panes” or “select ceilings”, both tasks done repeatedly everyday. A text box under the object selection pane in which one can prompt what to SELECT. This would be FANTASTIC, please please please implement team!Thank youJosh
Could Adobe Lightroom Classic incorporate a feature that automates window masking in real estate photo editing, facilitating 'window pulls' without the need for manual brushing? Love the products! greets!
Cross post from https://www.lightroomqueen.com/community/threads/metadata-question.54501/This thread evolved from a user who noticed that their LrC images posted to their Zenfolio pages no longer included the Exposure or Lens EXIF data when you click the “i” button on his ZF website. There was some discussion about his workflow (converting to TIFF, passing it through Photo shop) but it turned out to be a change made at Zenfolio which has rubbed a lot of folks the wrong way. See the above thread for further information and a workaround using Jfriedl’s ZF Publish Service plug in or his Metadata Wrangler Plug in. If you are a Zenfolio user who is angry that ZF deliberatly started stripping EXPOSURE, FOCAL LENGTH and LENS SPEED from uploaded images please voice your complaint to Zenfolio. To do so you can use the "Contact Us" button on your Zenfolio dashboard/control web site panel or send an email to: Zenfolio Support <support@zenfolio.com> I complained to Zenfolio and here is

I am using LrC 15.2 and I will use the Web module to make some photo gallery pages. I would prefer gallery templates that are friendly for phones, tablets, and computers. For phones and tablets being able to swipe to go to the next or previous photo is convenient. Are there any templates that can do that? I already tried the Grid Gallery and Track Gallery and they require touching tiny arrow icons to navigate on a phone.
ISSUE SUMMARYLightroom Classic 15.2 reports "limited graphics acceleration is enabled" in Preferences > Performance. The "Use GPU for image processing" and "Use GPU for export" checkboxes are permanently greyed out. This has persisted for at least 6 months across multiple LrC updates. The result is that AI masking (Select Subject, Select Sky, brush masks) is slow and bogs down, even though the system has more than adequate hardware.SYSTEM SPECS- OS: Windows 11 Business Edition 11.0.26200- CPU: 20 logical cores @ 3.8GHz- RAM: 64 GB- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 (11 GB VRAM)- Driver: NVIDIA Studio Driver 595.79- LrC Version: 15.2 [202602111402-ec4112e8]- Camera Raw: 18.2 [2482]- Dual 4K monitors (3840x2160 x2)KEY SYMPTOMS FROM SYSTEM INFO- Graphics Processor Info shows: "Init State: GPU for Display supported by default"- "GPUDeviceEnabled: false" — full GPU image processing is NOT enabled- Dedicated GPU memory used by Lightroom: only 63.6 MB of 11,943 MB (0%)- "Use GPU for image proce
I noticed that the metadata (Develop settings) are not included in the jpg files, from a Lumix TZ-101 camera. In this way, develop settings are lost if the file is, e.g., moved to another directory and then synchronized back to the LR Classic catalogue. The file is not protected. If I force saving (CTRL+S) the process is sometimes veeeery slow. Also the scanning for metadata update is veeeeeeeeery slow. The disk where files are store is a NVMe, should be fast, and it is actually very fast for all other operations. OS is Windows 11, up to date.I enclose a screenshot to show the upgrade bar for the save metadata (stuck there for 1 minute or more, for a single file!).May it depend from the amount of adjustments?
if we can upload in our cloud space multiple diffrent catalogs and have them organized as folder in our cloud would be very nice
I’m using Lightroom Classic 15.2 release and Camera Raw 18.2 on Windows 11 Pro 10.0.26200 Build 26200.I scanned 20 negatives to 92% JPG with my Epson PerfectionV800 Photo using Silverfast 9 and gave them sequential names so they would sort correctly when sorted by Filename. I now want to set the Capture Date so they sort correctly when sorted by date.I selected the first photo and used Shift-Click to select the last photo in the folder (roll) so all photos are selected. I then used Metadata->Edit Capture Time and set the Date/Time to 1/1/1967 12:00:00 AM 000ms, which is the scheme that I use when I know only the year. The result: the first photo was set correctly, but the rest were set like this (still sorted by name):01/01/1967 12:00:00.000 AM12/31/1966 11:59:59.000 PM12/31/1966 11:59:58.827 PM12/31/1966 11:59:58.827 PM12/31/1966 11:59:58.827 PM12/31/1966 11:59:59.000 PM12/31/1966 11:59:58.827 PM12/31/1966 11:59:59.000 PM12/31/1966 11:59:59.000 PM01/01/1967 12:00:00.000 AM12/31/1
Lightroom Classic silently skips files during batch export if it fails to write Credit/IPTC metadata. Additionally, it misreports local file errors as network issues.Steps to reproduce: Select a batch of images (e.g., 120 files). Export with a metadata preset that includes Credit/Copyright info. Observe that some files are randomly skipped. Actual Results: Only a portion of the files (e.g., 106 out of 120) are exported without a proper per-file error log. A "No network access" error pops up mid-export despite a perfectly stable internet connection. The export engine deletes the entire image file if the metadata write operation fails, instead of just skipping the metadata and saving the image. Expected Results: Lightroom should export the image even if metadata injection fails (best-effort export). Errors should be accurately reported (local I/O failure, not "No network access"). A detailed log should show exactly which files failed and why.

Until this evening, I had 12,000 photos of my recent trip to Tanzania on Lightroom Classic. When I initially imported them, for some reason they imported to a folder on my desktop. However, I decided to go with this and have been editing without any issues. Today, when I went to edit some more images, it turns out that 11,000 of my photos now have missing originals. When I tried to locate them, LRC told me that the photos were in the folder on my desktop. However, most of the files have disappeared from that folder. For example, for one date when I have almost 3,000 thumbnails, there are only two remaining files in the folder for that date. I don't know if this is an issue with LRC or with my imac, but the original files can't have just disappeared into thin air. Or can they?? Obviously, I am desperate to get them back!
Hi,A tool frequently used by photojournalists is to use the lock to flag pictures for import and filing. This allows you to review and flag on the camera as you are shooting a lot of frames, rather than taking the time to import and review hundreds of pictures while you're on a tight deadline.PhotoMechanic allows the photographer to only import the locked images. Would it be possible for Lightroom to have this feature? From what I understand, all that happens is that the file system flag for "read-only" is set and that is how PM recognizes it. Why can't Lightroom?
Here is a screen shot of the problem. All I am doing is selecting remove. The others disappear, switch to Library and back, and they all reappear.
Problem exporting pure grayscale RGB files from Lightroom ClassicHi everyone,I’m preparing images for a photo book and ran into a problem with grayscale files. For printing, I need RGB files that contain only neutral gray values (no color information) in order to avoid any color cast in the final print. Some of my photos were edited in Adobe Lightroom Classic and currently use a Color profile. When I switch the image to Monochrome or choose Black & White in Lightroom and then export the image as a JPG, everything initially appears correct. However, when I open the exported JPG again, the file is still in color mode, not a true grayscale-only RGB file. In other words, it seems that Lightroom still exports an RGB color file with potential color channels instead of strictly neutral gray values. This happens regardless of whether I overwrite the original file or export the image under a new filename. use jpg or nef My question:Is there a way in Lightroom Classic to export RGB files th
I have just upgraded to lightroom version 13.0.01, the photo import is painfully slow. I started importing 30 photos at 9 am, it is now 09:47 and less than 15 photos have imported. any ideas? I have already carried out a restart of the PC to no avail (that was pre 9am). I should point out that I have never had a slow photo import problem before this version.
Every time the user performs any of the following actions in the Develop module, the application becomes "Not Responding" for 3–5 seconds before resuming: • Collapsing or expanding any panel (Basic, Tone Curve, HSL, Detail, etc.) • Switching between tools (Crop, Heal, Masking, Object Remove, etc.) • Switching from Develop to Library module and backThe freeze does NOT occur when: • Navigating between photos (Next / Previous) • Adjusting sliders within an already-open panelThis is a clear regression. The behavior was not present in LrC 14.x.The issue was first reported by many users with LrC 15.0 and was NOT fixed in 15.1 or 15.2.I performed detailed diagnostics with Claude Cowork; a full user-mode process dump was captured during an active "Not Responding" freeze and analyzed with WinDbg using the Microsoft public symbol server.Root cause was identified via WinDbg analysis. When any panel or tool transition occurs in LrC 15.x, the substrate event system spawns approximately 60 parall
Hello everyone! I am in a bit of a pickle, and I'm wondering if anyone can help me. I have two computers, one desktop (which is hwere I editmost of the time due to its massive screen), and a Laptop, which I only use to edit when I am not home. Note that I have my catalogs and files always in an external SSD, so I can easily switch from one computer to another.Recently I was traveling, so I opened the catalog on my laptop, and I received a promt to upgrade the catalog for compatibility, which I naturally did and proceeded to work, however, when I came back home and wanted to continue working on my desktop, I got an error message saying that “the catalog cannot be opened because it’s too new to be used by this version of Lightroom”. The issue is that I cannot upgrade Lightroom on my desktop, because the newer versions of Lightroom are not compatible with my MacOS, and I cannot update my MacOS anymore, because my Mac is old… So, I have two questions:1. It seems like Lightroom did not crea
When I launch adobe Lightroom on my windows desktop, I keep getting a system error because of a missing file mcf140u.dll. I already reinstalled Lr twice and restarted my laptop several times. The missing file is present in my windows folder. Does anybody have an idea how to solve this? kind regards, Bastian
I’ve been editing in HDR in LightRoom Classic for a year or two. I create collections and sync them. When I open these collections with HDR photos in the Lightroom app on my M4 iPad Pro, these image look terrific, the highlights pop, bright and vivid. But when I play a slideshow of these collections, the photos aren’t in HDR like when I open these collections photos manually.Either in slideshow mode, they open SDR versions or maybe the slide show transitions too fast for the HDR metadata to be rendered? When I open them manually it takes a second or two for the HDR effect to load for each file. Beyond editing and viewing HDR photos in LightRoom Classic or the app on devices with HDR displays (or what Apple calls XDR displays), what other software can display HDR properly? I’m enticed by the Studio Display XDR which Apple just shipped. But hard to justify that price unless I can display HDR content as slideshows, screensavers, wallpaper, etc.
I’ve been using Lightroom for over a decade. Recently, I’ve toggled something and I now no longer have the option to select Fit, Fill, or Zoom % from the Navigator pane. I’ve gone to window to ensure it’s checked, etc. I have the thumbnail, but no drop down arrow. I’ve searched all over for the answer but haven’t found any other poss with a similar experience. Is this a bug? Please help!
I encountered an error while exporting images in Lightroom Classic. The export results show the following message: "Couldn't apply Content Credentials (no network access)." This issue appears for several files, i have attached the screenshot.Has anyone faced a similar issue? What could be causing this, and how can I resolve it? I've checked my network connection, and everything seems fine. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
