Lightroom Classic version 15.4Mac OS 26, Version 26.5.1Mac Studio M4 MaxPrior to the latest upgrade to Lightroom Classic I was backing up my catalog to my Synology drive. I now get the unable to write to drive error, check permissions and available space on the drives. I can backup the file locally on my MAC and then copy that over to the Synology drive. So it does not seem as though permissions is the issue. Have 16TB of storage on the Synology and 782 GB free on a 1 TB SSD on the Mac. Only started when after the latest upgrade to Lightroom Classic.

We are working in LR Classic. Students were working on drives that were formatted to match their OS–Mac Extended Journaled for those on Macs using spinning drives, APFS for those on Macs using solid state external drives, and NTFS for those working on Windows. Many students were not able to copy or move files into their LR catalog upon import on both Macs and Windows–the external hard drive was not available–and showed up as red with a warning. Many of the students were not working with card readers. The workaround we came up with was moving the photos into the desired destination folder in the finder, and then trying to import by using the “add” function. However, for several students, the “add or move” function wasn’t available and only the “copy as a dng” or “copy” were, but not to the external drive. It worked later for some of the students, I don’t know if they restarted the program or not, but this was an issue for students using both Mac and PCs. It was a full class and I was oft
I've spent a couple of hours researching this thinking it was some other process i was doing and it's causing some memory issues and eventually maxing out my swap memory on my m1 max 64GB Ram macbook pro. Please advise (using Tahoe 26.5.1 (25F80)) Title: Lightroom Classic 15.5.1: Progressive physical-memory accumulation during Develop navigation with GPU acceleration enabled; memory remains retained while idleSummary:On Lightroom Classic 15.5.1, simply navigating through previously edited RAW photos in Develop, without making any new edits, causes Lightroom's OS-measured physical footprint to increase by several gigabytes per image. In a clean reproduction, Lightroom grew from ~1GB to ~31GB after viewing five images. No material reclamation occurred during a three-minute idle period. The same behavior reproduced on 15.5, where Lightroom reached ~48-51GB and remained at that level for ten minutes idle; quitting and relaunching Lightroom reset the process footprint to ~946MB.Disabling Us
Lightroom Classic 5.7 terminates when trying importing files.Worked well av few hours ago but now when starting the computer and Lightroom it terminates immediately.
When I want to skip through hundreds or thousands of photos in Lightroom Classic (Version 15.0.1) in the film strip I mostly get this very annoying problem: after holding the arrow key to the right or left for a few seconds it doesn't stop anymore to speed through the images though I'm no more holding the arrow key. Sometimes it's going on for "just" a couple of hundred further photos and sometimes even through thousands of photos until the very last photo in the strip. I can't even stop it.This first started three months ago when I updated on a new MacBook. On my old Macbook this never happened in years. Does someone got an Idea to fix this bug?
1-i click normalwell than just do this and no Denoise3-now I can click again but no work ofc
I’m trying to bring out more luminance in my photos on my MacBook Pro with an XDR display. When I increase Exposure, Lights, or Whites to expand the histogram into the extra HDR stops, the colors end up looking like they came from an acid festival. When I check the exported HDR photo in the Gain Map Demo App, I notice that the gain map contains colors. However, when I look at HDR photos from Instagram or the Radiance+ app on iOS, their gain maps appear monochrome. Why is it like that, and how can I change it? Also, why does adjusting the HDR version of the photo affect the SDR version too? I already have a finalized SDR photo—I just want to add luminance for HDR without altering the SDR image.
In Lightroom Classic, when I use either the Radial or Graduated Filter, there is no handles. I cannot adjust the filter because there is nothing which allows me to move it with. Is this how it should be. It is not like this in Lightroom.
This is the screenshot… … anyone else get this?
When Generative Remove was introduced to Lightroom Classic, it immediately became a game changer for me. Tasks that previously would have required importing an image into Photoshop and spending a significant amount of time removing background distractions, unwanted objects, or unexpected issues can now be handled directly within Lightroom Classic, from a workflow and time management perspective, it has been incredibly useful I have also found that Generative Remove can go beyond simply cleaning up a background. It has become surprisingly effective for refining subjects while still producing natural looking results. A few examples that come to mind are removing visible bobby pins from someone’s hair or correcting a distracting wrinkle in clothing while maintaining the natural shape of both the outfit and the person wearing it I have even experimented with using it for more detailed retouching. For example, I had a client who wanted some visible stomach lines reduced. Normally, that woul
If I have two keywords, say, “Bob” and “Mary” I know how to search for all photos containing BOTH keywords. Is there a way to search for all photos containing one OR the other (or both)?
Create collection in LR not working. I click the button, nothing happens. Even with Smart Collection too.. no error message or anything. I’ve tried to reset the preferences, I created a duplicate/new catalog. Nothing is working. Also, I can duplicate a collection, but I cannot rename it..
Bonjour,Je constate pour la première fois que mon LRC m’affiche “analyse des photos” et que progressivement sur chaque vignette il apparait une croix rouge. Qu’est-ce que ça veut dire ?
This post is applicable to Lightroom Classic. ETAs for tethered support for specific cameras are not available. Tethered Capture is a feature of Lightroom Classic that allows the direct connection of your camera to the Lightroom desktop environment. Images are imported into your Lightroom catalog as they are captured via the connected camera. New camera support for reading the raw files is generally added quickly after a camera is released by its manufacturer. New camera support can be verified here: https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/kb/camera-raw-plug-supported-cameras.html. Tethered support for a particular camera model normally follows a version or two after the raw file support. Adobe relies on the manufacturer’s (Nikon & Canon) SDK (Software Development Kit) to facilitate the tethering of your camera to Lightroom. The timing of the release of a manufacturer’s support via their SDK greatly affects the time to release for tethered support. In additi
can’t elaborate any more . It makes no difference if I select brush, objector any other mask, the area selected area is blue and yellow. I have tried to get copilot help, but all to no avail. It seems to be since the last upgrade 15.5.1
I select Lighroom Classic and get no errors but a spinning icon like the computer is thinking about it but nothing happens. Task Manager suggests Lightroom Classic is open yet it isn’t.
When merging exposure brackets shot with DJI Mavic 4 Pro using the "Photo Merge" -> "HDR Panorama" feature in Lightroom Classic, there are colour artefacts / blotches around bright areas in the resulting stitched panorama image. This only happens when the exposure brackets are merged to an HDR panorama but not if the exposures are merged to single HDR files. Here is a screenshot of a bright area in an image that was merged to an HDR panorama in Lightroom:And here is a screenshot of the same area in an image that was merged to a single HDR in Lightroom using the same RAW files for this particular section of the panorama:All DNG files have not been adjusted in Lightroom at all before merging them to HDRs.I’ve done some research online and apparently, others have the same issue with DNG files shot with their Mavic 3 Pro drones. When merging exposure brackets from older DJI drones, like Mavic 2 Pro, the resulting panoramas don’t show this issue and have smooth transitions of tones in brig
Hi everyone,I’ve been experiencing an ongoing issue with Adobe Lightroom Classic, currently on version 15.2. This problem has been happening for the last three updates, not just this latest one. After importing RAW files, the thumbnails do not appear in the Library module. The folder and total file count display correctly, but the preview area remains blank. The only workaround that consistently works is fully restarting Lightroom. Once I relaunch the program, all thumbnails appear normally.System details: Lightroom Classic version: 15.2 Computer: Apple M3 Pro Memory: 18GB RAM GPU acceleration: Set to Auto File type: RAW “Generate previews in parallel”: Enabled Storage: [internal SSD or external drive] This happens every time after import. Restarting fixes it temporarily, but having to do that after every import is not practical.Has anyone else experienced this over the last few updates? Is this a known issue with Apple Silicon machines? Is there a more permanent solution besid
Hi Adobe Team, I’m posting this as a clear performance regression report for Lightroom Classic v15.x — specifically the Develop module image-to-image switching latency on Mac. REALLY SLOW. Please do not merge this thread into a generic “performance” megathread and then mark it as “Solved” as if nothing happened. Multiple users are reporting the same behaviour, and it deserves a proper investigation and acknowledgement (instead of being dismissed as an “NVIDIA driver” issue — this is Apple Silicon). What’s happening On Lightroom Classic v15.2, switching between photos in Develop is several times slower than in previous versions. This is not a minor “feels slower” issue — it’s a real, repeatable regression that drastically impacts professional workflows. My setup MacBook Pro (M3 Max) macOS v26.2 Lightroom Classic v15.2 Preferences → Performance → Graphics Processor: ALL acceleration options manually enabled (not Auto) Proof / Reproduction To remove any subjectivity, I recorded sc
This post applies to Lightroom Classic and the Lightroom Ecosystem products.Post Camera Raw feedback here This thread is now closed. Please update to LrC 14.x or LrD 8.x. If you wish to provide feedback, please go to the new article. The Lightroom team is sharing an early look at Generative Remove, which makes it easier to remove unwanted objects and distractions, even on complex backgrounds, with a simple brush stroke. Generative Remove is powered by Firefly AI. How to use Generative Remove on a desktop: You can find Generative Remove under the newly renamed Remove panel (aka “Heal”). Make sure the “generative AI” checkbox is enabled before you start brushing (note: when unchecked, Lightroom will use Content-Aware Remove to fill your brushed spots). By default, you will be given a moment to refine your selection with an add or subtract brush. Remember to include shadows for a more accurate result! You can also skip this step by holding down ‘CTRL’ on windows or ‘CMD’ o
I have a three monitor ‘Windows’ setup. I want lightroom / photoshop on monitor 2, the photo full size on the secondary display on monitor 1. Monitor 3 is used as general purpose, often showing ChatGPT as I edit. I cannot get the full size photo on monitor 1 to stay there if I start typing on monitor 3. It goes blank.A good answer about the issue was received from Conrad C in the forum, as below. This isn’t a technically verified or official answer, but just from experience, I am not sure this is solvable unless Adobe makes some changes to the code. To me, the Secondary Display window appears to be a floating “palette” or “panel” in the same way as panels in other applications. The problem with that is, in most other software that I’ve used, panel-type windows appear only when that application is the active/foreground application. Switching to another application hides all of the first application’s panels, even though the main application window stays visible. In Lightroom Classic the
