Lightroom Classic

I start with an edited version (lightroom adjustments only) of a photo in lightroom. I make a copy of it and then click reset on the new copy. This copy is essentially no modifications at this point. I then edit that copy in photoshop. When I am done editing in PS, I save it. I then open that PS-modified version in lightroom and paste ALL settings I have copied from the original to this new TIFF version. I expect the changes to work but it looks wrong. I notice the REMOVED tool item masks are strange. It looks like the REMOVE masks in the version that I pasted to are 90 degrees rotated - clockwise. Basically, copy/paste of masks does not work from a raw file to a tiff version. It’s like PS messed up the orientation indicator or something and LR got confused?

 I edit/process a photo (LRc 15.5) which includes several masks with mask refinement settings of edge and feather. After reviewing the edits I decide to start over and select the RESET button which then resets all sliders/setters to 0 or other baseline values. All values verified in Develop Module as reset I start editing the photo again with new edits and masks A sky mask (or other previously used mask which has mask refinement capabilities) is placed on the photo Mask Refinement feather - edge values, 10 - 3 seen in prior editing session still seen in the placement of the new mask just applied Photo again reset to baseline values. Photo verified at baseline values and no masks applied Sky mask applied to photo Mask refinement edge/feather values at 10 - 3 as seen in prior ediitng session. This process was repeated several time on several differenct photos with the same results. Mask refinement values can be reset manually or by hitting the mask refinement RESET button.

With recent update of Lightroom release 15.1 and camera raw 18.1 on Windows 11,  the software cannot detect people in some photos for masking even though they are very obvious in the photos (see the example attached). I haven't seen such an issue before recent update. Can anybody provide some insights about it? What could be wrong and how to fix this issue? Hi there,I got a new computer after a couple of years of exclusively using Lr mobile or on the iPad.Since my cloud quota was quite full, I’m in the process of syncing all my photos from the cloud down to LrC. The plan is to take the photos synced down out of ‘All synced photographs’, then put them back in order to upload only the smart previews. I’ve seen a lot of users do this successfully! However, for any photos in which I’ve tried this process (I’ve attempted this with very small batches before committing to all my photos) the sync process gets stuck at uploading.Please note:If I’m importing brand new images into the catalog and into ‘All synced photographs’, putting them into a collection or not, the syncing behaves as it should. There is no items pending sync in any other devices, and no items in the ‘sync errors’ folder in Lr web. I have updated LrC to the latest version.I’m really at a loss here and will appreciate any help.Thanks in advance!

Hi,I recently switched from a MacBook to a Windows PC, and it seems to me that Lightroom Classic is not working properly — although Adobe support says everything is fine.The program runs very slowly. When using masks, there is a noticeable delay in the preview, and the image appears to jump or refresh. On my MacBook M1 I never had any problems with smooth performance.I also noticed that when Lightroom Classic is open, the entire computer seems to slow down — even moving a Chrome window feels laggy and stutters. When I try to open LrC a system error pops up, "The code execution cannot proceed because mfc140u.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem" I have tried to uninstall and reinstall, and it still pops up.

Depuis la dernière mise à jour version 15.5, lorsque je shoote en mode connecté via USB, boitier canon 5D MKIII, lorsque je veux sélectionner mon collimateur de mise au point, j’appuie sur le bouton de mon boitier pour faire apparaitre mes collimateurs, et l’affichage disparait aussitôt. impossible dans ce cas de changer le collimateur. Cela fonctionne lorsque je ne suis pas connecté et avec la version précédente de LR (15.3.1) car la suivante me posait des problèmes, je ne pouvais plus déclencher mon appareil après quelques photos, toujours en mode connecté

When I try to import picture files, I get a popup for assisted culling that locks the application. I need to go to task manager to shut down the application.   I turned off assisted culling under catalog settings, but this does not correct the issue. Is anybody else experiencing this issue. I cannot import new files!  

Just starting today the Map module is leaving behind markers for a photo or photos that have been moved. It also continues to show markers for photos that have been opened but are no longer in the directory being worked in. If I leave LRC and come back in, all is well but I've never had to do this before. It is more of an annoyance than a major issue, but it does clutter up my screen while moving things. I am in the process of locating old photos that have inaccurate or no geotagging and this behavior is slowing me down. I’m running 15.3 on a MacBook Air. Has anyone else seen this or have a suggestion of how to fix this behavior?

SummaryAfter Lightroom Classic repaired a corrupted catalog, cloud sync froze indefinitely ("Syncing 186 photos") with no error shown anywhere in the UI. The console log shows the sync engine repeatedly failing to write its DNG-proxy bookkeeping rows because it re-uses row IDs that already exist: the repair left the catalog (.lrcat) and the sync store (Sync.lrdata) restored to inconsistent points in time. Each app relaunch synced exactly ~20 more assets before freezing again. Can i delete this temp folder without causing any problems in adobe programs?

Since the most recent Camera Raw update, all CR3 thumbnails show as purple lines on MacBook Air. Tried trashing and reinstalling Camera Raw and deleting a Mac thumbnail file in the library, but no change. 

I'm having problems tethering my Sony A7R4 camera with Lightroom Classic and would appreciate any advice you can offer.  Basically, my camera is not being recognized when I try to tether it to Lightroom Classic.  However, my camera tethers perfectly with Sony Imaging Edge Desktop Remote.  I am using a brand new Tether Tools USB-C to USB-C tether.  Dell XPS 15 computer running Windows 10 Pro.  I have also tried using an Anker USB-C tether and different ports on my computer (again everything works perfectly with Sony Imaging Edge Desktop Remote).  Is this a known problem?  Are there any special settings, drivers, etc. on my camera, computer, or LrC software that I need to take into consideration?  Really appreciate any advice you are able to provide!  Right now, it just hangs up on this "Detecting Camera" pop-up in included screenshots.

I've tried all the google suggestions, but cannot get the menu headings 'FILE EDIT ..etc .' in Lightroom Classic.    Need this to follow instructions in an Adobe video to fix another problem.

Hello,Lightroom Classic 15.2.1 (on macOS 26.4 in my case) does not correctly reproduce Nikon Zf in-camera presets (my test is on custom presets).In the Library module, the image matches the in-camera look because Lightroom is showing the embedded RAW preview. But in the Develop module, Lightroom switches to its own rendering and applies Camera Flexible Color, which produces colors that are clearly off compared with the Nikon rendering.So although Lightroom appears to support this feature in principle, the current implementation is not accurate enough to be useful. The user is then left trying to reverse-engineer and manually correct the many settings changed by Camera Flexible Color.As it stands, this feature is effectively broken/useless for Nikon Zf files.Here is a side by side view of what is expected and shown correctly in the Library module (left), and what Lightroom’s Develop renders (right). Thanks in advance for considering this bug report.

LRC: 13.5.1Windows 11Lightroom has been really slow for me, and I was sure that facial recognition was turned off, but today I was scanning some photos that had group pictures, and LRC is still recognizing faces when I’ve explicitly turned it off. Note that it was turned off before this screen capture and has been turned off as long as I can remember, but LRC is clearly still doing it. How can I stop this? I don’t want LRC to recognize faces. I don’t want it, don’t need it, and it’s taking computer resources and slowing down my work. Thanks  NB: I am not upgrading to the newest version because it is incompatible with my Fuji GFX100 due to LRC’s native tethering causing issues. Thanks

Please advise: When I try to start LrC 2025 i receive the Error message "The Lightroom Catalog 'file name' is corrupt and cannot be used until it is repaired."  LrC will not open when I double click to start. I also have a permanent banner on my screen stating "Lightroom - Opening Catalog: File Name.psd"  This is on the Windows platform, Windows 11. I have tried re-booting, re-installing LrC, but nothing works.  NOTE: I'm an experienced LrC user, and an inexperienced PS user. Before this happened, I tried to save a file from PS, then import it to LrC after deleting a previous version of the same file.  Please help.
