When Lightroom classic(15.1) starts (windows 11) I get one of two messages:No Photo Selected orNo Photos in Selected Folder. It then loads the last photo I was lookiing at. Any thoughts. Thanks
I naturally chose to upgrade LR to 15.01 and after a few minutes an error message appeared "updating not responding" and progress bar stopped. Now I cannot open LR and cannot edit or access previous image files. Can I restore LR to a previous state prior to 15.01? WINDOWS 11DESKTOP
When I launch the Remove Tool, the Distraction Removal Tool does not appear. I have only the Mode and Tool Overlay options. The area below this is dark. I have the up-to-date version of Lightroom Classic.
A newbie question: I'm creating a calendar that has a template of 11x17. I don't want my 4x3 images to be cropped to fit. Tech support said export at a smaller size. When I exported, I set 10.5x16.5 as a test (see photo). I uploaded into the program and it didn't work. The photos were all cropped. What am I doing wrong?ThanksLRC 14.5.1Sequoia 15.7.1
How do I associated a reinstalled copy (14.5.1) so it has all my files, presets, settings etc.???I did click on a Catalog when prompted but it said this catalog was too new for a previous version.Version 15 was taking 15-20 seconds for a Brush to open which I use constantly by hitting "K".This is killing me!!
When I have GPU acceleration turned on in any form LRC will freeze when zoomed in and trying to move around. I am using a 4070 ti and has only been an issue over the last few months. I have tried everything I can think of. I have tried both game ready drivers and studio drivers. I have tried older drivers for both. I have reinstalled LRC. I have tried older versions of LRC. I have contacted the support team and there was no resolution there either. I have tried checking my catalog and a new catalog. I can't get any crash logs because it doesn't crash it just freezes and I have to force close it. In task manager it never shows as not responding. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Since the very last update of lightroom I'm no more able to save metadata including develope settings to xmp files on disk. My usual workflow is to keep the catalogue preferences to not writing metada automatically to files while I'm working on a session. Then once the session is finished, or each evenings, I select all the pictures I recently treated and save the metadata to files. I think this avoid slowing down Lightroom while working on a sessions and it adds a security to my edited files. I see there is an option to allow LR to automatically write metadata to files, but I want to choose when I do that. Is it a bug of the last version ? did they change something to the way the program works ?
Hi, As sugested by a DJ legend in another thread I decided to make a new post about my specific problem. The problem: Very slow response from my laptop. Starting from file loading, to croping and appliing filters. I own a Macbook Pro M2 with 8GB RAM and about 100GB free space after instaling my Adobe colection.. It is the same that in 2022 was dealing Photoshop and Lightroom in the same time with lots of filters and so on so there is nothing wrong because everything ele is working just fine. . Today I erased everything (full reset) hoping that it will solve the problem but without luck... I have tryed with and without grafic card acceleration but is acts the same.. I am not sure I will continue to edit on IOS because of the great delay. I am already editing smart previews if anyone thinking ablut it. I understand it is a new software with new features but I dont work in a data center, I am a home user using an accep
When in Library > Grid view, if you do NOT have an image selected and you right click ANY image (without left clicking to select it) and choose an Export preset, it will export ALL the images in that grid view, and not just the image over which you right clicked. I suppose that this could be a quick way to export all the images in the grid view without selecting them all first, but what may be misleading is the highlight on hover, before right-clicking, which may lead the user to believe that only the right clicked image will be targeted/exported. I am not sure if this is intentional or not, so I am posting it here for review. Is it a bug or a feature?
Was not v15 supposed to bring better performance and memory management in Windows?I believe Adobe meant: worst and not better. General performance is much worse than before and memory gets clogged easily, so I have to close and re-open. And when I do this, clicking on LrC icon does nothing and the more you click the more LrC processes starts running in background: I need to kill them to run LrC again.before you ask: nothing changed since upgrade to v15, no new NVIDIA drivers came out and I have a very high end machine that under v14 was running poerfectly fine (bugs aside):- i7 13700- 64GB RAM- OS and CATALOG on superfast internal 1TB SSD- RAWs on superfast internal 4TH SSD- NVIDIA GTX 4070 12GB
Changes made to the image are shown in the little navigation toolbar top left but not in the main big image, zooming in and out on the main image seems to effect it and make it work correctly for a short time. Seems to be more reproducablee using the wacom tablet rather than using a mouse, clicking on navigator image with wacom pen image will trigger it. With the latest update to Lightroom 15, I've been experiencing a cropping bug where I will crop my image and then the crop will jump back to the original crop and I'll have to crop it again to get it to stick. I also am not able to use my directional keys on the keyboard as I've done in the past to be able to scoot the crop over. It's becoming a pain to do several times in a row, when I could move on to the next image instead of having to go back multiple times to fix a crop I had already done.
I've recently updated Lightroom Classic to version 15.0 on my iMac mini M1, 16 MB RAM running Sequoia. In the update process I updated my catalogue as normal and everything was running fine. Today it won't import anything. I've tried using a hub, a card reader and copied the files to my backup drive, it won't show any files. When I select a file source I get the spinning circle of dots bottom left but nothing else no matter how long I wait. I thought it might be down to culling so I've turned that off, no change. Any ideas?
Lightroom Classic release 15.0.1 introduced incredible sluggishness. Most noticeably, when I tried to Save Metadata to File for 325 NEFs that are about 30MB each, the Saving Metadata progress bar appeared but didn't move. After about 20 minutes, I canceled the operation with one XMP file created in the catalog folder containing the 325 images. Note: we're a Windows 11 Pro shop, and my catalog has 88,000 photos. Huge, but this caused no noticeable performance issues before this release.
Windows 11, upgraded to 15.0.1 today. First import of 91 pictures yielded 16 sequential photos in the middle of my import plus the last 2 that are blank. They are now stuck in a state where they don't exist on disk and I can't remove them from Lightroom. In develop mode, if I right click on the photos in the filmstrip and select "Remove Photo" nothing happens. Clicking on an image in the filmstrip and then right clicking on the image just brings up a pop-up for what the background color should be. I now have 18 photos that I can't get rid of. Copying the original raw files to a different directory and importing them worked fine, as did an import of addition photos.
Hi,I use Lightroom for editing wedding photos, and the last version that works on my mac mini m4 is 14.2 Every version after that is laggy and slow. I just updated to 15.1 and in develope mode when I push the right arrow to go to the next photo it will just stay on the curent photo, it will stay frozen like that so I would have to go back and forward to make it work again. I have smart previews switched on since with switched off its even slower.
Hi, I updated ton LRC 15.0 and it keep crashing on startup, at the catalog conversion page. I use windows 11 25H2, windows update up to date. GPUs : Nvidia RTX 5060 Ti with Studio drivers up to date Intel integrated 770 up to date i went back to 14.5 and crashes also immediatly on startup. The only version that work without crashing is the 14.0. I tried to reset the preferences, but nothing changes. Can you provide some help to fix this problem? Charles
For some reason my LR window fills the entire iMac screen. I can't make it smaller. And after talking with the Adobe chat bot, I've lost the bar that has File, Edit, etc. I have the latest version of LR CC
On my laptop, Lightroom Classic 15.0 and the recent update 15.0.1 won't start. The process begins but remains in the background without opening the program. The Creative Cloud Desktop app confirms that LR Classic is compatible with my device. My operating system is Windows 11 Home 25H2.I haven't had any issues like this with previous versions. I reinstalled the version prior to 15, and it starts up correctly. The problem is that I have version 15 installed on my main PC, and the catalog is updated to that version, so I can't open that catalog on version 14 on my laptop!
So when denoise was first added, it was working. After a few updates it stopped working. I could understand if they would use a different image model that would require more GPU power, but I get the error that the file format is not compatible.---- ExifTool ----ExifTool Version Number : 12.82---- File ----File Name : 4N3A9818.CR2Directory : /Users/razvantamas/Pictures/tuscanyFile Size : 43 MBFile Modification Date/Time : 2025:11:01 14:04:09+02:00File Access Date/Time : 2025:11:12 14:50:07+02:00File Inode Change Date/Time : 2025:11:12 11:29:20+02:00File Permissions : -rwx------File Type : CR2File Type Extension : cr2MIME Type : image/x-canon-cr2Exif Byte Order : Little-endian (Intel, II)---- EXIF ----Image Width : 6720Image Height : 4480Bits Per Sample : 8 8 8Compression : JPEG (old-style)Make : CanonCamera Model Name : Canon EOS 5D Mark IVPreview Image Start : 69320Orientation : Horizontal (normal)Preview Image Length : 5558278X Resolution : 72Y Resolution : 72Resolution Unit : inchesM
Just recently, when I click on Photo->Edit-In->Edit in Adobe Photoshp (Beta), I get the error message : Detected Adobe Photoshop 2026 is already running If I click on Photo->Edit-In->Edit in Adobe Photoshp 2024, it all works fine in the older version. Yes, I have re-started everything and error continues Any ideas?
As a long time Lightroom user and recently, about 60-90 days ago, began to experience extremely long Lightroom Back Up times of several hours to even longer? What previously took 15-20 minutes is a painfully slow process currently? Yes, I restart my IMac daily if not multiple times a day and the external hard drive is defragmented as well? All of the Lightroom and Imac updates appear to be current too.
I want to point to a photo from a folder from multiple collections. Lightroom will not be used to display the photos and I want to force the order in which photos are displayed outside of Lightroom. For example, photo 199707001 is in folder "Source". Photo 199707001 in Collection "A" might assigned a sequence number 0100 to be the 10th photo displayed and in Collection "B" photo 199707001 might assigned a sequence number 0150 to be the 15th photo displayed. In collection "A", when photo 199707001 has 0100 appended, in the folder "Source" the photo id becomes 0100199707001. In collection "B" if I then update the sequence number of photo 199707001 from 0100199707001 to 0150199707001, the identifier is changed to 0150199707001 in both Collection "A" and folder "Source". For many reasons, displaying photos in chronological order of the date/time stamp when they were taken doesn't work. Using a subject name is no better because differe
Today I was informed that my Adobe Photography (20GB) monthly subscription will increase in price significantly at the next annivesary, and that I could maintain the same price by concerting to an annual subscription. I did that successfully. But when I looked at the available apps in the new subscription I found that it only contained Lightroom, the web-based app. Checking my Lightroom Classic installation I found that it was working correctly, so far at least, but that there was a new update Lightroom Classic 15.0.1. There was no warning that that this update would create a new catalogue which is not compatible with previous catalogues. I successfully updated the Classic software to version 15.0.1. but then learned that this new catalog had been created and the old catalogs were contained in a zip file. I decided to update the catalog, as I could not see - or understand - what was the alternative.I can now no longer "find" my photographs in Lightroom Classic, nearly all the thu
I have a plugin that kicks off a long running task. The task, obviously, doesn't terminate when the plugin is reloaded and I'm left with a trail of processes. Someone has suggested that there's a _G[] table or similar that I can store persistent values outside of the plugin's scope in but I'm having trouble making that work. Is it a thing or have I misunderstood?
