Lightroom ecosystem (Cloud-based)

I've just downloaded LR Classic (7.1.2) as I read you can drag and drop photos to reorder within a folder.  It is not working for me.  I have checked "run as administrator" and it is NOT checked.  I have my photos stored locally on my PC hard drive, and go to that folder but am not able to drag and drop to reorder.  In the sort options at the bottom of the page there is no custom sort.  Do I need to put photos in some sort of Lightroom folder itself? Also cannot create "new album" - those options are all greyed out and not available.  But most concerned about reordering - that's why I am trying this program.  Any help is appreciated 🙂

Hello,I'm happy with the new Lightroom but I have an issue with the histogram. In my workflow I'm very depended looking at my histogram but it seems that within the new Lightroom there is slightly more more information in highlights comparing with same settings of image in Adobe Camera RAW and Photoshop.

I have a Synology NAS with many TBs of photos. Currently using Lightroom Classic, which works fine towards the NAS. All the originals are imported straight to the NAS via Lightroom Classic. I'm looking to add an iPad Pro to my workflow. And Adobe Lightroom Classic does not exist for iPad, but there is Adobe Lightroom CC. But it only seems to support Adobe Cloud for storing originals. I found an option to store a local copy of my photos, and was able to choose the NAS as the local storage location. However, because my entire NAS is backed up to Google Cloud (cold storage for disaster recovery), I need the photos to stay exactly where they are in their existing folder structure. How can I automatically sync (one way) all my photos or a subset of my photos from the Synology NAS to Adobe Cloud, so that I can browse and edit them from my iPad using Lightroom CC? Perhaps there are other options I have not considered to attain the same goal.

I think it's a new issue that I didn't notice before. However, if I uncheck and recheck the upright line icon, it will be placed in the correct position. Guided upright line should always keep its relative position when performing zooming?video recording  

I was wandering if its possible to delete the originals from the cloud (as they are saved locally) but leave the smart previews only.  I am using mainly lightroom classic, but from time to time import some raw files to my mobile devices and import them to lightroom cc, then they get downloaded to lightroom classic in the sync folder and I dont need the high res files in the cloud, but want to be able to access the smart previews. In order to do that I have to delete them from lighroom cc and then reupload them using lightroom classic collections.  Is there another/easier way to do this.  Best wishes! 

I am presently trailling the Adobe photography plan. I have edited an image in Lightroom then transferred to Photoshop for further editing. On completeion I then saved as a temp edit as per the Adobe tutorial and closed Photoshop. On return to Lightroom only my oroginal image is there - not the one I have just edited in Photoshop. Any suggestions what I am doing wrong? 

In the current version of Lightroom I am unable to work with a Lightroom photo in Photoshop and then save it back to Photoshop. It wants to save the edited pictures and temporary files. I have been in contact with Lightroom service support five times and have spent hours with them and they have no clue at all how to fix it. I am using an iMac 27 inch with the current versions of Apple software if anybody can help me, please let me know. 

I have this issue almost every time i do a gallery. I am a full time weddding photographer, I generally end up with 2000ish images from each shoot and setup the collection in Lr on my mac and syncing smart previews to the cloud so i can download and cull and edit on my ipad. Pretty much everytime i cull all not all my flagged images show up back on the mac, i can usually fix this by rebuilding sync data it is a hassle but this time it happened that not all the images on the mac showed up in the catalogue when i downloaded them onto my ipad, i deleted them on my ipad and now the synced data wont show up at all. i would really love to make this my workflow moving forward but every single time i have issues.

I have an iPhone 12 and had at least 10gb free last time I tried to (manually) import all photos and videos from January. When the import started, it said 225 photos were waiting to import. I did it while sleeping so I didn't get to see the message about how many failed (btw, it's super annoying that the message about failed delivery disappeares immediately), so I don't know how many, but I can see in the unit tab, there are several without the LR "stamp". I've tried importing the same batch many many times now and I've deleted stuff off the phone and cleaned up the cache every time, to be sure I have enough space on the phone for the task. I take a lot of videos, but we're talking 200-something items, it can't be related to space? I've considered leaving Lightroom for good, as these hiccups are killing me, but the task of moving everything to another platform is also daunting, so I keep torturing myself within "the ecosystem". Is there a way to export a file using the {Title} field from the metadata as part of the filename?

How do I add the same caption/description to multiple file using Lightroom? I tried to select all the photos and edit the caption in the metadata panel but itn only applies the changes on a single image. 

Help! I want to delete all my photos in the cloud storage and begin again. I currently have 240gb worth and my student plan only allows for 200gb. I would like to ditch the lot and begin again but can't work out how to do it. I had planned to use Lightroom but now think I'll stick to Lightroom Classic

I just installed Lightroom (as I am not a regular user of Lightroom, I use Photoshop). The reason for that is that there should be an option to remove moire very easily within Lightroom which I have used a couple of times in the past.But, I can't find the option to remove moire anymore? I thought it was under "Effects' but it isn't there anymore. At least, not in my Lightroom it isn't (version 5.4 build 20220607-0605-ab0fd72, Dutch language).Can anyone help me find the moire removal brush?

Hi Team,   I just imported a new NEFX file, generated by NIKON Z8 and NX Studio with a size of 16152 x 11008 pixel. When I open the picture in the development tool the size is reduced by LrC to 8256 x 5504 pixel. So I can't work with the new generated pixel shift images from the Z8. Instead if a work withg an exported TIF file it works. It seems to be that LrC can't work with the new NEFX files.   Regards Ulrich Blancke  

Good evening, my lightroom app on my ipad keeps kicking me off after a few photos i edit. Really need someones help.

How can I see a photo's geo-tagged location when in Lightroom CC?   Is there a Map in LR CC like there is in LR-Classic?

Tried to re-install Lightroom Mobile to my Samsung tablet but get the message "An error occurred while authenticating. Please try again later". Tried several times - same message. Try uninstalling and then reinstalling - same problem. Tried full factory reset of my tablet and then reinstalling Lightroom Mobile - same message. Lightroom Mobile appears to be working ok on my android mobile

Hi, just purchased the premium features and they are very slow. Some of them don't even load at all like the portrait presents or the lens blur. Help!

Just trialling LR.  Can't seem to find a simple way to compare before and after images side by side.  Am I missing something?

I found a weird bug trying to open Canon EOS R5 files using my cardreader with a Google Pixel 8 Pro.   So Lightroom doesn't detect CR3 files, either if I copy them on the device nor in its own file browser. It only shows the JPGs and acts like there's no other files. But interestingly, when I rename a file to CR2, it shows the RAW file and also opens it. I know somebody's gonna say "It's just the jpeg preview," but it's not. I tested it with both file types and unlike JPEG previews the RAWs got full resolution, plenty of dynamic range and show noise in the shadows instead of compression artifacts.   So I'm pretty sure this is a bug and somebody added CR3 support but forgot to amend the Android app to recognize CR3 files. Please fix, so I can finally edit my files on the phone and tablet without constantly having to rename them.

Hello! I am having an issue where when I try to go full screen on an image it won't always expand correctly. It used to just fit the screen, but every now and then, it will be shifted over in weird places and I am not sure how to recenter the shots. I know it happens because I zoom or move the image to look at certain spots but I find it hard to get it right back to where it should be to expand fully. Hello there community, I have the following workflow:I categorise all my photos using Lightroom Classic, put the best ones in collections and sync those to the cloud (Lightroom CC). Now, I heavily rely on embedded previews since I shoot Fujifilm and my JPEGs are pretty much perfect most of the time. I keep all RAW files too because I need to ocasionally do some tweaks/edits.The problem I'm facing is that when I sync the photos to Lightroom CC the embedded previews disappear – I only see the smart previews. Any ideas on how to sync the embedded previews too? Anything I'm doing wrong? Any tips are appreciated!  Cheers,Yav
