Lightroom ecosystem (Cloud-based)

Ok - so I am stumped here. My Lightroom (cloud, 5.4, MacOS 14.2.1) now has the message that the "Digital Negative (DNG) files is incompatible with this version of Lightroom" - on all RAW/DNG files going back at least several months.   Problem affects files synched from LR Classic Problem affects files from cameras that generate native DNG files (e.g. Leica M246) Problem affects cameras that are current There have been no disk corruption issues Problem affects files that previously worked Problem affects files that work fine with LrC and Apple Photos There are no such errors on Lightroom on the web   The only clue I have is that it says in sync info (on LR cloud) that the local copy is a smart preview - something that does not exist (at least as far as I can tell - is this referring to the local DB used by LR or the original LRC?)   I have already deleted and restarted the local storage database. I have no idea what's going on, but for some reason, my edits are not syncing with each other on just ONE singular photo. Everything else I do is syncing up. I have closed both of them, and I have waited more than 24 hours. I honestly don't know what to do. I would really rather not reset my edits considering I have spent more than enough time editing them in the first place. I don't get what's going on. Can't tell if this is a bug or something on my end... here's my following information: 1.LR version 7.5.2 (Mobile)LR version 5.5 (Mac) 2. MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2018)MacOS Version 12.6 iPhone SE 2020iOS 16 3. No idea how to reproduce the problem. Was working on multiple layers for the edit (about 20) and was finishing up the last touch and all of a sudden the edits were no longer syncing 4. Supposed to sync when editing, and it does for every other photo except this one itself

Hi! I recently ran out of storage on my Mac and while scrambling to clean it up in order to finish a project I deleted my Lightroom Library. Truly I have never understood how the cloud function works and was under the impression I was deleting deplicates but it did delete all of my photos.  Most of them are backed up so I am not too worried but it did delete years worth of presets. Does anyone know if there is a way to recover these presets? 

Hi everyone, I have an idea, and maybe it already IS available and I just don't see it somehow, but I have cane across several times where I really needed a feature like this. My phone offers it, but it's not nearly as good as LightRoom would be, if it were available.   Can we pretty please have the feature/ability to edit videos? I mean like, adding blur, removing grain, enhancing certain colors, maybe even a color splash?! Where most of the image is black/white/grey, but you can use your finger/mouse to add color in some areas? I know this can be done in PS, but I haven't found a way to do this in LR. Making this available (Color Splash/Color Pop) for photos also, with the app, would be wonderful!   You used to have an app called Aviary, and I loved that app very dearly, Color Splash was a feature on it, and it was my favorite! I could instantly turn the whole image b&w, then use my finger to rub over areas to bring the color out. Please bring this back!!!   But, y

I'm new to Lightroom on iOS and there doesn't seem to be a way to import files from SD card. I've seen videos on YouTube and people just plug in their SD card and an import dialog pops up. . On both my iPad 2020 Pro 11" and my iPhone 15 Pro Max, nothing happens. I can see the files in the native files app. I can see the SD card is connected in the top right. I've tried different cards and different adapters.  I've gone though every single menu in the app and none offer any sort of import option.  Thanks.   

Lightroom 7.1.2, MacOS 14.4For several weeks LR continues to show 6 files syncronizing, but nothing shows if I click View. I have run the LR diagnostics and I see the 6 error assets: sync status = NeedsMetadataUploaded, filenames like this first one: _AZF197-HDR.dng, and Deleted = false. If I search in LR, I find these files without the -HDR ( _AZF197.dng ). I've tried deleting these six files (that match other than the -HDR ) delete from trash as well, but no change. I've tried reuploading them and editing them, no change. I've tried renaming the files to match with the -HDR in the name, but I still have the never-ending 6 files trying to sync. Any ideas on how to fix this or is there something Adobe can do from the backend?

When I import a true RAW file (taken from any of the top 3rd party camera apps) from the new iPhone 15 Pro Max, a light streak is added to the image. It happens when I use the 5X lens and there's side-lighting in the scene. Attached are before and after expamples. This happens in Lightroom and Photoshop, not in other non-Adobe apps.     

Hi guys, All my presets and profiles are gone from Lightroom, but I didn't updagte my lightroom. When I try to re-add them it says "Preset already in Lightroom." Has this happened to anybody? Does anyone know how to help?I have the box clicked that says show partially developed presets!  Please help 🙂 I need to be editing!!  

Unable to launch the application on a new computer running Windows 11.

Hello. I've not long started using my Lightroom Mobile copy on my iPad, and finding it's really good. Previously I've simply been using the built-in Apple editor which has suited almost all my needs but now I can go to the next level.I think I've got the hang of the masking possibilities, but I feel I'm missing one thing. I've been taking several photos and removing all background clutter to leave me with – ideally – a pure white background with my character isolated, and ready for a black vignette.. I'm happy to draw a mask using the brush mask around the outside of the character, I wish to retain (the light room option doesn't quite accurately outline the character , but I'm having some difficulty in achieving the white fill outside this mask line. I can do this in what seems to be to be a rather dirty way, which is to turn exposure right up, , play with haze, whites  and clarity, and eventually I can turn a mask "snake" into a pure white line. I've noticed a few bugs using the s-pen on my s24 ultra in lightroom for samsung. 1. When I double click on a setting slider while the phone is in landscape mode it goes all the way to the left instead of reseting to 0. When the phone is in portrait mode or when I use my finger instead of the s-pen it correctly resets to 0. 2. When I single tap on a setting slider it moves the setting to where I tap rather than incrementing in that direction. It correctly increments when I use my finger instead of the s-pen.   The combination of these two bugs makes the s pen mostly unusable for me in lightroom, which is unfortunate because it would otherwise be a joy to use.

I'm a seasoned Photoshop user, but I'm just dipping my toes into Lightroom. Whenever I try to enhance an imported photo, I can see the loading bar for enhance tools, but after around 5 seconds, the app crashes to desktop every time. I've tried both updating the app to the most recent version and reverting to 7.0. Neither fixes the issue. I'm running Windows 10 with an Intel IHD Graphics 630 video card. Thanks in advance for the help.

Hello..I would like to make a suggestion, since I am a press photographer... and when I go out to the street to shoot, and I need to send 3 images quickly, for example, and I have a print run of 100 images, I would like to propose that the Lightroom table recognize the stars , in the reader before downloading, so you can save time downloading all the images to the table, so that Lightroom recognizes the stars,Thank you for assisting me,Could this be done for a next update?

Hi there, I was half asleep and accidentally purchased the mobile-only plan from my iPad. I was away photographing a show and didn't have laptop on hand so I had to pay via my ipad but turns out you can't buy a full plan through apple and I didn't realise this. The plan I got cost me £4.99, obviously the full plan/PC Included is £8.49. Is there any way to upgrade/change to the full plan without paying full price this month or do I just have to suck it up buttercup and pay another £8.49? Thank you!

Hello everyone. Since the latest updates with Lightroom and Photoshop I've encountered so many problems!! Lightroom: My copy and paste settings don't work, my mouse cursor glitches a lot and turns grey, the software glitches.... even going photo by photo glitches and slow in the develop tab Photoshop: Generative Fill.... takes longer than usual and also a lot more slower!! But in the other hand... my adobe premiere/after effects run just fine and smooth. !! Is anyone going through a similar experience? This is my computer specs:Windows 11Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8700K CPU @ 3.70GHz 3.70 GHz64.0 GB RAMNVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Driver Edition 551.52 (latest driver) through GeForce Thank you everyone. Does LIghtroom have a feature that allows you to export files names into a text list?  This would be tremendously useful for copyright registrations.  Sems like an easy feature to add.

so i am 15 and im unable to purchase the lightroom subscription can my dad buy it on his phone and share the subscription for the family? 

The thumbnails of the cover photos in the Lightroom Web Gallery doesn't follow the actual aspect ratio of the actual photo chosen for the album cover photo. As such the web gallery album thumbnails look is very amateurish.Propose to have the thumbnails display of the web gallery to reflect the actual photo aspect. The square thumbnails on the left panel is an acceptable limitation but the hyperlinks of the albums thumbnails should at the very least size to show the full photo even if the actual aspect ratios of the thumbnails in the grid can't be change for reason of technicality. 

i tried to cancel my lightroom subscription through clicking "manage plan", but it says "go to microsoft store". But I dont find my plan and subscription about lightroom in there. can anyone help?
