Is it possible to Set a password to open Lightroom and see my secret pics?

Is anyone else using Apple MacBook Air laptops with M1?  Since a recent Apple update this fall around Thanksgiving, when trying to import photos from my laptop photos, "favorites" folder, the folder of "favorites" no longer shows up.  I can only select Photos.  There was a drop down sub catagory prior to the update when I selected photos for my favorites folder and that no longer appears.  Now when I type favorites in the tab to the right of photos, I only get most of them, not all.?  This was no problem until Apple did an update.  Anyone else experience this and have a solution?  And, yes, preferences are selected for LR to see all photos.  Thanks. 

I have a MacBook Pro M1 Max and, I guess, since I upgraded to Ventura (I am not 100% sure if this is true) I can not access Lightroom 6.1 any more. The error message while starting is Login server error 'nil': revision_without_parent, can not create new revision (would create conflict) the only option I get is "OK". then Lr is shuting down... :(( I tried shutting down my system. I tried logging out from adobe and logging in again... I tried downdate to 6.0 (- this leads to the error message "Could not connect to server"). I am lost. any advices?? I need to get some work done!

When opening Ligtroom v6.1 on WIndows 11 I get this error message. I tried installing older versions but I get the same error. Anyone have the same issue?

Hello everybody! Tell me how to do it better? There are two SD Samsung 870 evo 250 gb and 980 pro 1tb 4x. On which to install the system and ligtroom, on which disk to put the directories and cache. Which configuration will be more productive and correct. I store raw on a regular hdd 2 tb

Hi, I have updated Adobe cloud storage space from 100 gigabytes to 1,000 gigabytes. This upgrade can be clearly seen in my account and Creative Cloud App for iPhone or iPad. When I launxh Lightroom App on my iPhone or iPad, it still shows 100 gigabytes as the limit and therefore does not sync new photos across devices because the limit has been exhausted. I have tried signing out and back in again which did not fix the issue. Please help me understand what to do in this situation.Thank you. 

Hello! I reset my phone and when I reinstall lightroom I do not see the photos I had in my account. Is there a way to get them?

I'm on lightroom mobile and I wanna switch from "K' which I believe is kelvin to -100 and 100 scale instead. If not, whats -4 in kelvin scale? I've tried using google's converter and got 273, which isn't on the scale.

Hi There,I'm having some confusion with folders vs collections as I prepare to switch over from Lightroom Classic CC to Lightroom CC and I'm afraid I'm going to need some help figuring out how to safely and wisely handle things.  I have my photo library, and my catalog on a LaCie external drive at this time that I plug into my MacBook Pro whenever I want to work with my photos.I have cleaned up this library and now have it down to between 8,000 and 9,000 photos in this library, and the Catalog is optimized with no missing photos.This library is organized into hundreds of Folders in the folders tab on Lightroom Classic CC.So I could share some of these photos, I created some Collections under the collections tab, and about 1,200 of the photos from my Folders, are organized into Collections with sub-categories, just like in my Folders.  All of these Collection sub-categories show up in Lightroom CC (although I can't see the main headings), where I can see these, roughly, 1,200

HelloAdobe Lightroom has done this to me several times.It loses my photos and asks me to import it again.But this is a photo that is several years old.It's lightroom that manages the automatic raw, I'm not going to keep the RAW once in lighroom and once in another file, it takes too much space.Why this software does not leave Raw management to the user like on luminar, if he is not able to do it correctly without losing photos

I recently changed my AdobeCreative Cloud type from LR+PS+20Gb of Cloud data to just LR+1Tb of Cloud data with the intention of going completely online with my post-processing and image library. (I did have Lightroom Classic installed on my laptop but as this was no longer accessible to me after I changed CC plans I deleted it from my hadr drive). I then added images from an external drive using the 'File/Add Photos' menu option and waited for them to load into LR. Later in the session I then closed LR and disconnected the external drive.   However, the next time I connected my external drive and opened LR I find that I have several duplicates of each image. I have tried deleting the duplicates usingthe  'RightClick/Delete Photo' menu option but this just seems to make the problem even worse with even more duplicates appearing.   Factors that may affect why this happening  - 'Syncing' the images between LR and the external drive seems to take forever - about 50 imag

Hi, as multi platform user, i'm trying to get Lightroom CC to work on my imac but i get the above error, i press ok and nothing happens, the programm is useless. All of the other adobe products are working fine and have no connectivity issues. I' ve tried many suggestions given to this community but my problem persists. I use the latest version (6.1) in OSX 12.6.2My copy on my windows machine works fine, under the same network. 

Keep getting the message "no photos that can be uploaded were found".

I just made a new  subscription for Lightroom and Photoshop license (the previous was from school). I subscribed with the same email address in order to keep my previous works, however I can't find them although I thought it would be the same account.I need to find my old works on Lightroom, is it possible?Thank you for your help

My CC says that on MBP that "Your cloud storage is full". I haven't give any permisson etc. to move any file to any cloud, but somewhere is 21,1GB data. I tried to find those, but only found 8 image in LR somewhere... so?It's very annoying also that my iPad, which has 9 image in ipad/LR, takes 177,62 GB sapce of my iPad.

I'm Ukrainian, currently I'm living in Germany. I use Adobe Lightroom and now I have problem with buying Premium Account in Adobe Lightroom mobil.Problem is because App see my old datas connected to Russia (I lived there as a tourist some years ago).For Russia Adobe closed access as I know.But I have Ukrainian citizenship, and currently live in Germany.Please help me to get access for making payment for App Adobe Lightroom mobile (Premium).

Just tried to take a screenshot of a photo in LR iOS, tap on the thumbnail, hitting done in the top corner and "Copy and Delete". This results in freezing whatever app is trying to paste (ex. Messages). Doing this from any other app works just fine, so this is definitely a LR bug.

OS: MacOS 13.1Creative App updatedCreative App show Lightroom as installed, but it isn't in Applications folder, Spotlight suggest opening App Store to install it.I tried reinstalling it through Creative App and updating Creative App - result is the same. Installation goes 0% -> 99% -> Installed and takes only few seconds. There is no error. Clicking "Open" in app does nothing - no app launching, no error.I also tried reinstalling Creative App and results are the same: in Creative App Lightroom is showed as installed, but cannot open and is not present in Application Folder.Other apps (Lightroom Classic and Photoshop) works. 

Sorry, this is a long post but this seems to be a complicated subject! I'm a long time user of LrC but considering a move to LR (cloud), for a few reasons: To have original files (rather than smart previews) stored in Adobe cloud and available on all devices.To simplify everything for multi-device use.To remove reliance on a single LrC catalogue on my one PC and avoid headaches of rebuilding/recovering the catalogue in the event of a problem with my laptop, and make life easier when moving to a new machine. I like the idea of being in the cloud and the flexibility it provides, and don't mind paying for the capacity I need but having worked in IT for over 20 years, it's a big leap of faith to rely solely on Adobe to secure and protect my data. I would feel much more comfortable if it was possible to maintain a local copy of my files (which I could also then backup elsewhere, if I chose),  including flags, ratings, edits and tags. From reading articles online and

My lightroom presets are showing on the left side where they belong. When I hover over them I can see the preview of what it will look like on my photo. When I click the preset though, nothing happens, the photo goes back to how it was. If I import my photos into lightroom with the preset though, it will apply the preset. My profiles work just fine on my photos. This is only happening on my presets. No presets work not even the "user presets".   Please help!!    [duplicate post - closed - Mod]

Dear comunityWhen I import PNG's into Lightroom, they change in Saturation. It's not by a whole lot but it's enough that skintones are too desaturated and the lively look of a picture gets diminished. This can easily be corrected of course but I don't fancy paying for an Application and than having to go through 100s of pictures to get adjust them to their original color. In my sample picture, the left hand is inside of lightroom after the import and the right hand is before the import (displayed using the standard preview app).  My Specs:Lightroom Version 5.3Macbook Pro (M1 Max) thank you very much
