Lightroom ecosystem (Cloud-based)

In the cloud-based Lightroom app, I'd like to be able to size my photos to the exact crop ratios, inch/cm dimensions, and/or dpi resolutions so that I could generate an image to be sent for printing. I want to be sure that the images I send out to print are in the size that I want and with an appropriate resolution. I know that this feature exists in Lightroom classic, it would be fantastic to have it in the cloud-based Lightroom. Please and thank you!

My phone has a limited amount of storage and I can't hold all of my Lightroom photos on it. I just recently downloaded Lightroom CC. On my old Lightroom, I could keep certain files just in Lightroom on my computer and select certain files to be synced on my iPhone. This new Lightroom CC is syncing ALL of my photos and I don't know how to select which ones I do or don't want to sync. The only way I can get them to not sync is by just straight deleting the photos completely. I can't do that anymore. Suggestions? I just need to know if it's possible to be selective in what photos I can sync on my iPhone.

Hallo ich bin am verzweifeln mit der ganzen Adobe Cloud und wie man damit arbeiten soll. Kurz zu meinem Workflow: Ich mache Fotos und lade die dann meistens erst auf mein Ipad Pro und sortiere die da aus und bearbeite die da dann. Wenn ich jetzt die synchronisation an habe lädt es natürlich direkt alles in die Cloud und mein Speicher (ich habe 20gb) ist ruckzuck voll und dann geht da nix mehr. Es lädt einfach alles hoch auch Fotos die ich vllt. noch aussortiere. Nun gut für das sortieren kann ich ja die synchronisation ausmachen. Habe ich auch. Wenn ich dann aber bestimmte Fotos mit der aktuellen Bearbeitung auf mein PC kriegen möchte und dafür die synchronisation benutzen möchte habe ich nur die Möglichkeit die sync an zu machen und dann synchronisiert es wieder alle Alben in Lightroom von denen ich manche vllt gar nicht synchronisieren möchte?!?! Meine Frage daher: Wie kann ich nur bestimmte Fotos oder Alben synchronisieren und nicht immer gleich alles was ich in Lightroom auf dem Ip

Lightroom is an absolute HORROR to use. If the free features are anything to go by, signing up is the-worst-idea-ever. . Two examples: . 1. Lightroom can't import photos in the same order that they're picked in Files if life depended on it, no matter what you do. a) Create a new album and sort the still empty album by 'Custom'. b) Start adding photos from Files, one at a time. It doesn't take long before they start to line up in random order. Adding just one single photo doesn't matter, at any time it can end up anywhere in the album. c) Try adding a bunch of photos all at once from Files. Now and then, and sometimes repeatedly, they end up in scrambled order in the album no matter how they're sorted in Files, and no matter if they're selected in Files by 'Select all' or one by one, before opening all of the selected photos. d) Try a couple of times deleting all photos in the album and then import all of them again from Files and you're sure to run into trouble. . 2. Hi everyone! This is my problem: when i click on effetcs on the panel Lightrom just crashes and I have to turn it off.. 

Every time I try to get into adobe lightroom app on my MacBook Pro a msg pops up saying "Local catalog damaged. You can fix this problem by r storing from cloud backup". Which I did all the instructions and still can't get in and keep getting that msg. what do I do?! 

Hola, abrí Lightroom y me aparece "catálogo local dañado", no me permite más opciones que dar clic en "ok" al hacerlo se cierra el programa. Desinstalé y volví a abrir, aparece lo mismo. No me permite sincronizar en la nube. no puedo hacer nada.. Ayuda por favor! 

I found a similar issue, and it was fixed with an update a year and a half ago. But I'm on Lightroom CC 6.0 now and I have a similar case. I took a trial 7 days subscription and everything works perfectly, but HEIC files don't load on Windows. I can edit them on iPad, I can edit other formats on Windows, but not HEIC on Windows. Man, I can even edit them on web version in browser, but not in the Windows app lol. I am absolutely disappointed. Given that there has already been a similar problem, how can I be sure that after buying a subscription, this error will disappear? 

I can not upgrade the lightroom app to Premium Features. Every time I try it says can not complete purchase. I am signed into the right account. My credit card is good. I have a Samsung S20. It keeps saying to contact customer service for more info however I can not find a phone number anywhere. Error: B7024/P/15UNK

Hi! This matter is not the the community but to the support. I dont know why they make it so hard to get in thouch with them (ok I know why and got annoyed with it). Anyhow, I renewed my subscription yesterday but when I open the Lr app on my computer it still says that subscription has ended. In app store it says clearly that I have renewed my subscription. 

I bought a new iPhone 13 pro and now my Lightroom recommended presets aren't working.  The premium ones are working along with the presets that I purchased.  They transferred over to my new phone and are working.  Keep getting an error message on the recommended presets.  What do I need to do?

Curious, has anyone run LrD on a Windows machine with Hyper-V enabled?I have a need to run VMs; however I do not want to pick a tool which will negatively impact LrD which will run in the host OS. Tim

I am running Photoshop Lightroom 6.0. When the pp opens a popup appears "Lightroom needs to do some housekeeping 69% complete this may take awhiloe. It has been stuck fir over 24 hours and The rest of the main window is blacked out, so I cant try any of the suggestions about filtering and looking for synching photos. I tried permanently deleting trash but that did not solve it. Ideas? 

I'm not sure if this is working as intended, but I can't seem to search by file type / extension in Lightroom for MacOS. I have a combination of .JPG and .RAF files in my Adobe Lightroom catalog from a Fujifilm X100V camera. If I only want to see .JPG files, I've tried searching by the .jpg extension, but am seeing the "Oh no! A Black Hole" error. Just searching for .jpg in the search bar yields the same result. Is this user error on my part, a bug, or something else? Do I need to wait for Adobe to index and upload the files before I can find them via search? Using Adobe Lightroom Version 5.0 on MacOS 11.6.1.

Hello I am having the most difficulty importing lrtemp presets into my cloud-based lightroom. I am up to date on all the updates. I followed the instructions and LR came back to me saying these are not importable.   Windows 10. LR up to date I am most grateful for any help   Tom    

So much is missing from Lightroom in the cloud - pretty disappointing really, but I'm stuck with it.   No DPI control on export JPEG quality is only 10, 20, 30...  not enough resolution. No export presets -- I need to do my exports manually.  I've seen it in LrC where I can say essentially, "give me the best that you can in 100MB, or 25MB."  Lr only knows about large and small, which is really pretty lame. Can't rename files.  I end up with files called -edit-edit-edit.  That's really stupid.   Really unhappy that you need to give up so much to be able to use Adobe's cloud.  When will there be functional parity?  Seems like a long time to wait.

None of my photos were uploading to Lr mobile so I tried to troubleshoot by deleting the app and redownloading, but then it caused me to somehow lose thousands of photos. Tried chatting with the support team but was transferred three times and then they ended the chat. Is there any way to get some assistance in getting my photos back? 😞

I am having trouble opening photos into photoshop using lightroom's 'edit in photoshop' feature. I've been using lightroom for 4 years now and have never had this trouble. When I re-install photoshop it works. but I can't keep reinstalling photoshop for every photo :((( Also is lightroom being discontinued... ? I love lightroom please don't discontinue, I downloaded LRC and already confused. 

Hello! Anyone can help me how can I fix my problem with my lightroom mobile? My exported photos went missing from my local album folders and all the edited photos in my lightroom mobile are all greyed out. Every time I click on a photo a "Failed to load development version" was showing. I already signed out and signed back in but still the same.        {Title edited by Moderator}

Hi all, I'm going to give the iPad Pro a go at editing photos. I've imported around 4,000 photos into Lightroom from an external SSD. After importing these photos - where are the files located? Do they remain on the external SSD, or are they now located on the iPad? i.e. when I start to import these, can I continue to use the SSD as the location? Thanks

Hi, there good people 👋  I wanted to try using Lr (cloud) for some personal projects - I am a long-time user of classic but I wanted to try and use the cloud version for some personal ideas. If I tell Lr to backup local copies to my 4TB external and then I am on my travels, will Lr download to a random place on my MacBook taking space or will it simply keep looking until I am home and then it will continue as expected?I understand I can test this myself but I did not want to go all in and then my 1tb MacBook that has 560gb space free will grind to a haltI hope this makes some sense and thanks in advance for your time and help

(I'm sorry about the title, I don't know how to formulate this inquiry correctly. My native language is not English and writing and talking is not something I'm good at.)Here is how I work: Import photos from camera to Lightroom on iPad.Edit some of them, delete others. Some gets kept but not edited or deleted.I repeat this until my 20gb cloud is full. Then I open Lightroom Classic and wait for the photos to sync.Export them all as DNG (to keep the edits.)Then import the exported files.Then delete the synced files from the cloud and iPad. Then I start all over again. Maybe it sounds dumb, but it works for me. I'm fine with all that. What I need a solution for is, how do I proceed if I want to edit some of the photos that I didn't edit before? I know I can edit them right in Lightroom Classic, but I have switched to Lightroom on iPad for a reason and I want to edit those files on my iPad too. How do I proceed?  Syncing from LrC isn't a solution because

Hello I am having the same issue I have seen in the discussions here many times. Lightroom has been working for years with my camera, and only after the most recent update does it give me this error. This is very inconvenient as I can find the photo using the browse computer option and selecting the camera there, but it only allows me to import 1 photo at a time this way and is utterly useless. I am using Windows, everything is updated for Lightroom, I am using a Canon EOS Rebel SL3. Any tips would be appreciated, thanks.

I've spent all day trying to figure out why I can't edit my photos on desktop and why I'm stuck in a perpetual loop of not syncing. I've never had this problem before and I've already tried everything listed on the website, incuding deleting a bunch of edited work because the sync wouldn't hold. Mobile seems to be working fine, sync struggle seems to be a desktop only issue. I'm working on a macbook pro if that makes any difference. Any ideas?

Not sure if this is a bug or I'm simply doing something wrong, but suddenly I can't get the histogram to show. The option to show it is greyed out, keyboard shortcut doesn't work.Using Windows 10, Lightroom version: 6.0 x64 [ 20220928-0910-e5c3644 ] (Sep 28 2022)
