Hi, Before going the preference route, can you try opening the PDF (not using "...as Smart Object") so you get the Image Size options. Then make sure they are the dimensions and proportions you expect, before opening. Does that look right? Close the document without saving, and try opening again as Smart Object. regards, steve   ... Hi, Using Finder with Photoshop not running: can you go to the top menu commands Go> Go to folder... In the dialog paste in this path "~/Library/Preferences/Adobe Photoshop 2022 Settings"  drag the highlighted folder to your desktop (so you can restore them back later)   launch Photoshop again  create a new default RGB 8bit document, add a new layer then add a brush stroke  double click on the layer to bring up the Layer Style dialog, and apply a Gradient Overlay now in the same dialog, click on the top left Styles label to see any existing Styles click on the New Style...button to save a new style click on OK, and note if style appears   Is this working? ...
