Photoshop

Similar to another user's problem but, in my case, Photoshop doesn't give an error and just freezes. I use Photoshop to generate thumbnail images of PDFs created in InDesign, however this issue isn't restricted to files I've created but every other PDF which has, until the 2024 update, opened fine. I've tried dragging and dropping the file into Photoshop as normal. I get the 'select pages to open' dialogue box, and this is where Photoshop freezes. I can't select the Images tab or click any text boxes or anything. The only way to proceed at this point is to open Task Manager and End Task, which feels great (it doesn't). I've also tried File -> Open from within Photoshop, and right clicking the file to open in Photoshop, both to the same effect. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Photoshop 2024 with a system reboot in between, and I was able to click the 'OK' button fron the dialogue box, but Photoshop again froze before going any further, and now I'm back where I wa

For several months, I had issues where Liquify would not work on my Windows 11 system. To use the tool, I had to go all the way back to my PS 2022 version. (I always keep at least several back versions on my computer because I frequently run into issues where newer versions are wonky.) I solved the issue by resetting my preferences, which I hate doing because I have my own workspace I've created which suits my needs, and resetting [removed] that all up. So, after resetting, I worked with first Essentials workspace, then copied over my own workspace and Liquify was ok. Over the course of the past few days, I changed a few things to my workspace, adding some plugin panels, re-arranging some windows of pallets. now Liquify again does not work! What the heck is going on? It takes time to recreate the workspace I have used for years and am comfortable with to work quickly and efficiently. I've wasted hours trying to solve these issues. Another good reason to get rid of the subscription mode

Hi All,  I have a problem with Photoshop probably related to the RAM. I am trying to run a batch process in Photoshop, but after the processing of about 200 images Photoshop crashes. During one of the many crashes that I had, I saw the following error message “Could not build a preview because there is not enough memory (RAM)”. My machine has 32GB of RAM and when I run the batch process only 31% is used. The Photoshop version that I have installed is 22.3.0, and I am using Windows 10. I have already posted this problem one year ago. We could not find a solution, and I gave up. But now, I need to use Photoshop again, and I need to fix this bug asap. Leider kann ich die Belichtung seit dem Update 27.0 nicht mehr im Popup unter:Bild -> Korrekturen -> Belichtung (mit dem Mausrad anpassen) Schieberegeler geht, EIngabe geht aber nicht MausradEr geht nur noch bis 0,01 das war es. Das ist SUPER nervig.Alle anderen PopUp Fenster funktionieren mit dem Mausrad. problemlos Es ist nur Belichtung betroffen.Wie kann ich wieder Downgraden. So kann ich nicht richtig arbeiten. Es ist ein AlptraumIch hasse Versionsupdates. Ich bitte hier um schnell Hilfe.

Just received an interesting Photoshop marketing email from Adobe (which BTW is unnecessary because I already subscribe) that included the capture below.  I already pay for Topaz (I'm a fan) so I have to wonder what exactly this means.  What exactly is included?  Can I stop paying Topaz for features now included in PS? 

Hi Guys,I have a basic PS qustion here. Is there any way that I can disable connecting brush stroke after drawing a straight line, while holding the Shift key. Currently, when I draw a straight line with shift and attempt to do a nother straight line, it connects with the previous straight line.  Thanks.

Dear Photoshop Support Team, I am experiencing an issue with a specific keyboard shortcut in Photoshop CC 2021 (v22.2). The shortcut Ctrl + Alt + M (for applying the previous Curve setting) is not working. When I press this combination, only the Curves window opens (the same as Ctrl + M), but the previous curve adjustment is not applied. Working: The Levels shortcut (Ctrl + Alt + L) works correctly, repeating the previous adjustment. Working: The basic Curves shortcut (Ctrl + M) works correctly, opening the Curves window. Not Working: The repeat Curve shortcut (Ctrl + Alt + M) only opens the window without applying the previous setting. Actions I have already taken:I have reset the Photoshop preferences (Environment settings initialization).I have checked for conflicts with other PC programs (e.g., NVIDIA GeForce Experience). The issue persists after these steps. Could you please let me know if there is a known bug in this version or another way to fix this specific shortcut function?

I have searched and searched some more.. I have had the "Photography" plan since the beginning of CC. My specific question is..I just tried generative fill using Gemini 2.5 (Nano Bannana) to generate a whole room of furniture in a real estate photo..."Virtual Staging".. If I want to use generative fill with Gemini in Photoshop to do this type of work what do I need? A Firefly subscription? A whole plan upgrade? How many credits do you get and how many are used for the example I am talking about? Truly I am not trying to be lazy by asking here.. I just have not been following all of these "credits", "premium credits" and so on..I cannot figure it out on Adobe's site.

Hi folks, Just downloaedd my first plugin from Creative Cloud for Photoshop 2026. It says it is installed, but nowhere to be found. The plugins manager is blankl!! There is no Window>Extensions as some posts say or even the ""where to find" in the Creative Cloud app. Where is it and how do I use it? Thanks! ~Bob

I have what I think is a very basic interface problem. My toolbar with smudge, select, clone stamp, and shapes is very out of order. I have square, ellipse, and custom shape taking up 3 different spaces., when they use to be all in one that required a click and hold to access. ( think the 4 eraser tools in 1 tile with that little arrow that let you know it was a stacked tool tile)I would prefer not to use the 3-dot menu to look through 20 tools to find one. I would prefer a stack of related tools. HOW do i get these tools to restack into their default states like pre-2023 versions did by default? 

So I've just updated photoshop to the most recent 27.0 version after a long time using photoshop 2023. The place embedded feature seems to be very different, and I can only place stuff from the cloud, not just images from my own device. Is that a design choice, bug, or how to I get around this? It feels really inconvenient to have to leave the app to open the file explorer, and drag and drop something

Hello! I have had Photoshop for about a year or two, and have used a 2022 version. But recently I had to fix my computer, so all my apps got deleted and I had to download them again afterwards. As I'm searching for Photoshop, I can only download the 2021 version (v 22.2) No other version appears in the creative cloud except for the newest one. How can I find the 2022 version I have always used? I have all my brushes on there, and I need to retrieve it as soon as possible.Thank you very much

Version of the app Photoshop Web   Platform and OS version Windows 10; Chrome Browser Version 142.0.7444.60   Steps to reproduce:  Upload a custom font (using font selector under the Type Tool); Select and upload font file; The font seems to be uploaded file (meaning that it shows up in the list);4. Select the font under: Uploaded fonts. Expected resultThe custom font should be applied. Actual result After uploading and attempting to use the new font, it is not applied. Selecting it in the font selector doesn't work. The font merely reverts back to the previously selected font.I've seen people mention that this is some sort of collision with an installed extension but I have no extensions running. This seems to be some sort of bug in the app.

Hi, I'm trying to create an action that defines a pattern, but when recording, the action will use the name of the document I used to record the action, not the document I'm currently using the action with. For example, if I record the action with a floral pattern named "flowers.psd", and then try to perform the action on a geo pattern named "geo.psd", the action will load the geo pattern into the pattern presets but will name it "flowers.psd".  I found some previous answers with javascript templates to use, but they are all quite old and when I try to use them Photoshop tells me there are errors in the script. I'm familiar with implementing jsx files, but I'm not experienced in writing or editing, so I don't know how to troubleshoot the actual code. Would love some help here as this would save me soooo much time if I could make it work. These are getting ridiculous. How to I turn these pop-ups off for good. Every time i open the app or save a file there is a pop up in my UI. This is an AD! For something totally unrelated to what i'm doing. Adobe, please, this behavior, it's insane.

In Photoshop version 26, I can't drag and drop images into the workspace or the Start window. The entire program just freezes. This only happens with version 26M; it works fine with earlier versions.

Voici le problème qui me rend dingue, depuis que je suis passé sous mac. Les paramètres du curseur sont: Taille réelle de la pointe et affichage du réticule. En sélectionnant l'outil pinceau, avec une forme standard d'un cercle, j'ai donc un cercle d'un certain diamètre à l'écran.  Qaund je peind, la taille est systématiquement réduite d'environ 50%. Impossible d'avoir une taille a l'écran qui soit identique à la taille réelle de l'outil pinceau.    Est ce qu'il y a un paramètre à sélectionner quelque part pour faire en sorte que la taille du pinceau affichée soit à l'écran soit vraiment la taille réelle de travail?

When using the brush to paint in Photoshop, I would hold the alt key to shortcut the eyedropper to collect the colour I want from a reference image on the page I am working on. Then using the colour I eyedropped continue painting. All of a sudden the alt shortcut while in brush mode adds the colour picked as the background colour not the foreground colour I want to use as paint. This is massively disruptive to painting.I can't seem to find an option to change this. To be clear: I want the eyedropper shortcut while in the brush mode to collect the colour I select and add it to the foregreound not the background. Any advice would be wonderful.Thanks.

Since yesterday I had those kind of patterns when doing a generative fill or generative expand in the new photoshop 27.0.
