Photoshop

Hey there, I need to export a multi-artboard file as pngs. Doing this via quick export.Chosing "png","smaller file" andscaling them down by some percentage  introduces a white/transparent border, because when scaling down PS apparently doesn't recalculate the image data, but the data previously calculated for web output. It also produces really bad colors -  like when exporting as GIF and not ticking "convert to sRgb". I remember from ye olde times png 8 was pretty much the same as GIF, some something must have happened here.Also - since even LR can export AVIF (but not WEBP...) natively now, why are there no options in PS export for these formats everyone seems to want now? I really have to reopen the exported files in PS and resave as AVIF so I don't get a 150+KB file for a grey rectangle with some text? Or import them into LR so I can get this set up as a new, faster workflow? Or am I not grasping some concept there? I have to recycle pixel data here, otherw

I'm encountering an issue where I change the opacity of one layer in one document, and the selected layer in another open document changes with it!Really annoying and potentially damaging/expensive if I don't notice it's happened.This is really to ask if anyone else has experienced this. I don't have time to list all my system specs, provide highly documented examples and so on, Adobe.

I'm a paying Creative Cloud user and I want to file a formal complaint regarding Adobe support.I contacted support because **Generative Fill in Photoshop suddenly stopped working**, and I wanted to report the issue properly. While I was preparing a screenshot — exactly as the agent requested — the support representative **ignored me and disconnected the session** without any warning or follow-up.I then attempted to reconnect through the support system, but it either stalled or threw me back into the bot loop. The support experience was unprofessional and frustrating — especially for a paid customer.Please treat this as an official complaint and escalate it to the appropriate support or product team. I am switching from a Windows PC to a Mac. I used migration assistant. My photos all gor moved to a Pictures directory. However my creation dates and last modified dates are the dates of the transfer.  Opening my catalog on the mac, pictures show up with an "!". I guess I can override from the catalog but I have over 13000 pictures. Is there a better way to move the photos over? Or a way to do a mass change from the catalog?

Apologies I have tried to find a definitive answer but struggling.   My question is; let's say I take a photo of a fence, and I use photoshop to include a bird sat on it.  Can I use this new image (created with real and AI), for promotional purposes - a shop flyer for example - or is the AI generated part copyrighted to Adobe or other?   btw - I'm certainly never going to claim the bird was real/in the photo!!  I'm just trying to get my head around the legality of all this new technology.   Hope this all makes some kind of sense.

Does anyone know why there are seven instances of Microsoft Edge WebView2 running alongside Photoshop 2022?  I hope I've solved the freezing/crashing issue but Psd is still running sluggishly and  I would still like to know about this change. I'm looking at Task Manager on Windows 10 Pro, 64-bit (updated just a few days ago). Thanks, Sidney

 Not sure if this is already a known issue.If I open up lightroom and select to view photos on a external memory card, then select one to edit in photoshop, if I then (in photoshop), try to save the edited file to a different location (my main laptop drive for example), it ignores this and saves it to the original location - in this case my external memory card.I've never come across this before, this is a fairly new issue for me.

I am trying to change the color of the wood to white. I want the natural texture of the wood to show through the wood, though I cant figure out how to do this. I tried adding various adjustment layers and I also tried simply adding a blank layer and painting over the wood with white and playing with blending modes and opacity though this does not work well. What is the best way to do this?Thanks

It seems that whenever I launch Photoshop my display automatically increases in brightness and intensity. This tends to affect the outcome of my prints, often causing them to print darker than they should. When I close Photoshop, the brightness usually goes back to what I consider to be normal. However, I frequently have to manually adjust the monitor and drop the brightness from 100%. Is there a way to prevent Photoshop from increasing the brightness when launching? I'm using an HP all-in-one and Windows 11. That probably isn't the best combination but it is what I have.

I am running an older version of Photoshop - Version: 19.0 (32 Bit) with Windows 10 (64 Bit). I have an older Canon LiDE25 Scanner that used to work fine with this version of Photoshop and Windows. But recently, when I try and run the scanner in Photoshop from File > Import > LiDE25, I get the following error message in Photoshop:  I am guessing this started happening after a recent update of Windows 10 because nothing else has changed on my system. The Twain driver file is called "Twain_32.8BA" and normally the Twain driver for this scanner needs to be installed in C:\Program Files (x86)\AdobeAdobe Photoshop CC 2018 (32 Bit)\Plug-ins for this scanner to work with Photoshop. But after I got the above error message, I also went into the Windows folder and there was a folder called: C:\Windows\twain_32 and so I put a copy of the Twain driver file in there too. I'm getting a "Missing MSVCP120.dll" message trying to install Photoshop 20.0 to a Windows 11 computer. I have tried ALL the fixes suggested in this community and on the Adobe site. The file is there so I don't know why the program won't  install. Can anyone please help??

I am experiencing a recurring issue with Camera Raw where I receive the error message "due to a runtime error GPU acceleration has been disabled" whenever I hover over a preset. This problem has persisted despite numerous troubleshooting attempts. I have updated my GPU drivers (yes I have tried Nvidia studio driver too), reinstalled Photoshop and Camera Raw, reset preferences, and even disabled GPU acceleration within Camera Raw itself, but none of these solutions have resolved the issue.Furthermore, when I continue using Camera Raw after dismissing the error message, my display often glitches and turns completely black. I have monitored my GPU usage through Task Manager and observed that it is around 21% when the error occurs. However, attempting to take a screenshot during this time results in a permanent black screen, requiring a forced restart.I have recently encountered similar errors in other Adobe products, such as generative AI and Lightroom. The result is no longer Bridge but Creative Cloud Desktop. Bridge is wanted and has worked for years without a problem. Solution required please. 

Once again, I can't save PSD files because "of a program error", and PS creates duplicates and names them like this: "Adobe Photoshop 202236825051152618", so every time you save your file, a copy is created with a similar name.That happened with the last version and followed the steps you post here: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/program-error-opening-psd.html, and NONE of them worked, so I had to delete duplicates and rename files. After the last update, everything seemed to be back to normal, but this happened again.So yes, that bug is back.

Hi everyone.  I have a brand new laptop and have installed PS. Everything, and I mean everything is updated on PS and the laptop. PS has been running great and then all of a sudden when choosing a mask, it crashes and this message pops up: The graphics processor has encountered an unrecoverable error.Due to a run-time error, GPU acceleration has been disabled for the remainder of the session. What can I do????????? Please help. 

Please fix the inability to add verticies for polygon laso selections outside of the right and bottom edge of a zoomed in window. (Try being zoomed in and making polygon points to the very edge right or bottom with a Wacom pen/tablet)Please fix the freeze when zoomed in and panning with the spacebar/hand. (A tough one to debug because it is intermittant and I cannot come up with a sequence to reproduce). Those of us who use Photoshop every day to retouch and composite images struggle with these simple roadblocks which used to work updates ago. I vote to stabalize the day to day bread and butter functionality before adding more bells and whistles.

Good morning. I installed Adobe CS 5.5 on a new computer and I'm getting a message that the program is already installed on two computers. This is partially true, but I've read that the activation servers for Adobe CS 5.5 are no longer working, so I'm wondering if this is true and if I deactivate the program on the old computer, will it work on the new one? Or is this message simply because the servers are down and if I deactivate on the old computer, will the program not work on either the old or the new one? I should add that in the customer panel, under Products, I have the CS 5.5 package registered, but only one device is listed under active Devices, not two. This is likely because the internet on one of the old computers hasn't been working for a while. Hence, I'm concerned that deactivating on this computer without internet might not work, and I still won't be able to use it on either the old or the new one.

What is the difference between Lasso Tool & Polygonal Lasso Tool? In my view the only difference is Lasso Tool has less control whereas Polygonal Lasso Tool has more control when using.
