On a Mac, if you select a blending mode in your layers pallete you can carry on working as normal and keyboard shortcuts function as expected. In Windows, if you change the blending mode (or anything that uses a dropdown window), focus is then locked dropdown, essentially disabling your keyboard shortcuts until you either hit escape or click away. Please can this be fixed? I was hoping this would be resolved by now but it's still a huge annoyance for those who have had the misfortune of switching to Windows from MacOS. I know it's just one additional click/keypress but it adds up over time and ultimately just slows you down/drives me insane.

Photoshop 2024 is dead in the water for me.If I open it and work on a file, it gets completely stuck after 30 seconds or so. Showing my desktop reveals a garbage little popup that insits I update to the current version. "Your device is running an old version of Adobe Photoshop. Update to the current version to enjoy etc." See attached.I just updated PS 2024 to v.25.12 today in hopes that would solve the issue. Nope. Apparently, Adobe allows me to update my version of 2024...but not use it?I do not want to run 2025 yet. It's 2 weeks old, and I've been burned way too many times before by brand new releases (after 30 years using PS, I know better.)How do I stop this popup from interfering with my job?

Hi, I can't get my printer to produce the same exact color tones as what I'm working on in Photoshop. The colors on the images on Photoshop are vibrant. Although they come out with a grayish tint when printed. I've tried adjusting between my printer managing colors or Adobe managing the colors. Nothing seems to fix the issue. See the photo attached, print is on the lefthand side. My screen with work is on the righthand sideThanks for any help.

У меня оформлена подписка на план Creative Cloud для фотографов (годовая). япоследний раз оплата была списана 11.04.2018 г. в этот день и начались проблемы - не могу зайти ни ф фотошоп, ни в Лайтрум - идет отсыл на лицензию. Для работы пришлось воспользоваться триальной версией приложений, их срок истек через семь дней, то есть сегодня. Сегодня же я решилась купить заново подписку, оплатила, но у меня все равно нет доступа к продуктам, а приложение Adobe предлагает снова купить подписку.

Folgende Situation:In der Regel habe ich mehrere Fotos gleichzeitig geöffnet. Bisher war die Bearbeitung der einzelnen Fotos kein Problem, Photoshop behielt das aktuelle Foto aktiv im Fokus.Seit Version 26.6.0 passiert es extrem häufig, dass Photoshop z. B. bei der Auswahl eines anderen Werkzeuges oder z. B. auch bei der Nutzung des Reparaturpinsels (sobald man per Alt-Taste und Klick ins Bild eine neue Reparaturquelle aussuchen möchte) den Fokus in ein anderes offenes Bild switcht und eine Fehlermeldung auftaucht. Bei Version 26.6.1 ist das nicht besser geworden. Bei den früheren Versionen tritt dieses Problem nicht auf. Das Problem tritt sowohl in meinem Fotostudio als auch in meinem Homeoffice auf, es liegt also nicht an der Hardware oder den Treibern (die ich im übrigen alle vorsichtshalber aktualisiert habe, um sie ausschließen zu können). 

I take a shape, convert to a smart object and use the radial blur filter. I cannot duplicate the layer and have it look the same, I cannot copy it and have it look the same. The outcome of the radial blur is not the same, even if it is the exact same shape. 

Is there a way to turn off these dialogs entirely? I do a lot of action based work with images that are cutout and want to run batches without the dialogs impeding them. DO i have to add a flattened white background to the image as part of my action set? Is that the only way?

Mam problem z narzędziem usuwania. Gdy wybieram je, pojawia się błąd "Nie można użyć tej funkcji ponieważ nie powiodło się zainicjowanie jej"Ponowne uruchomienie nie pomaga. Tak samo reinstalacja, aktualizacja, pobranie poprzedniej wersji, wyczyszczenie preferencji także nie pomaga.Próbowałem na najnowszej wersji Photoshop 26.0 i 25.9.1System operacyjny Win11Proszę o pomoc.

Photoshop CS5 (latest update) will not allow me to select a layer mask. For example, I have a pixel bearing layer with a layer mask and want to use refine mask. I click on the mask and nothing happens. The layer (not the mask) remains active. Blue is the color that shows a layer is active on my computer, and after I have clicked unsuccessfully on the layer mask the blue color changes to grey. When I attempt to choose any layer now, instead of blue I get grey. I have reset Photoshop preferences which did not solve the problem, so I even uninstalled Photoshop, reinstalled and updated it, and still have the same problem. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!

After recently updating photoshop, I now have these blue boxes appear around anything I hover over. I can temporarily disable them with cmd+H but if I transform a layer it reappears. I would like to fully disbale this feature I dont want the blue boxes.

Hi:I have updated to the newer PS from CS6, which I long had. So there is a lot new here now. One issue I can't seem to resolve is that when I open a photo it opens in a big PS palette that blocks out the rest of my desktop. I don't want this big opaque palette. Before I lost CS 6 (because I had to update OS) my photos just opened by themselves on the desktop and very unobtrusive tool bars sat on the top and right side perimeters of the desktop when PS was open. No palette. Now I got this big honking palette in the way. Also, another big issue is that when I close out of a photo the palette stays on the screen and I have to get out of that. If not it's in the way of everything and I have to slide it aside to find the next photo to open and work on. It adds A LOT of work. It should disappear when I close out the photo I've been working on -- altho I don't want it in the first place. I can't even close it with keyboard shortcuts (like command+w). I have to go up to red dot and hit that.

Hi all! I've been using "genertive fill" quite a bit. My client sends me images that are either too small or the wrong orienation for social media images. I've found the ai generative fill to be invaluable. However, the command I use most is just "continue background" or "continue background no text." The reason I add, "No text" is that more often than not, ai adds weird text that doesn't really spell anything (not that that matters... I don't wany ANY text added). What command can I use that will let it know I don't want text... just the background of the image to be continued? Just adding "no text" doesn't seem to work. I also have removed or hidden text layers, in case it was picking up on those. To no avail. I'm attaching an example. I selected (what is now) the dark blue area at the bottom and just typed in "continue background." And this is what I got.Any suggestions? Thanks so much. 

At first Photoshop took away my tool bar. I went to Window to restore the tool bar at it's default state. Once the basic tool bar was restored, it took away my project names. I switch between multiple photoshop files and boards to create work for high profile clients. This is affecting my ability to produce work quickly which is a need for the company I work for.  Since the new update, photoshop has shut down on me when I am doing much more basic tasks than I have previously. It has shown the rulers on other screens that does not have the photoshop app running when I switch displays. The chrome page being layered on top of photoshop as I type this message has made all disapper except the rulers and my artboard. There is also no way to close or minimize, those have disappeared and I am not in full screen mode. I have had to quit and restart photoshop several times due to tools acting buggy as well since the update. I was able to deal with that, but at this point it is hea
