Photoshop

I have this PSD file ("A")Inside, I have a layer with a smart object ("B")Inside B i have a linked PSD file ("C"). Now when I move A to a different location and I open B, the linked C file is referenced to the old location, not the new one, so it's using an absolute path, not relative. Any idea how to fix this? Is there an option to tick to make things absolute or relative? Thank you!

Hi All, I take all my photos in 4:3 format. But I also create videos of them in 16:9. So basically I want is a 3x4 showing over the top of a blurred 16x9 photo. Currently the way I do this isOpen a blank template in 16:9 demensions.I then open the 3x4 photo I want to work on.I then drag the photo onto the blank 16x9.I then duplicate the layer of the 4x3 photo and drag it to the edges and gaussian blur it.I then position the 3x4 photo on top and give it a white stoke before moving the clear image around and expoting it. I have attached a screen shot of where I finish, and how I want the image to look.  I do these steps for each photo I want this applied to. I am just asking if there is a way I can set it up so that I can import a photo and have this effect happen without going through as amny steps. Thank YouStephen

How do I make a white layer then turn it to a canvas. Then have my images put on to make a water colour print. Sorry for a simple question. Thanks

Sorry for the long post. I have the latest vesions of Bridge and PSCC on a Windows 10 desktop. I have been re editing some old olympus. (.orf Raw) birding files all week from Bridge to ACR and utilizing the Denoise feature and masking and brushing to increase quality to crop and print some images.Up until Yesterday!Upon resuming in Bridge this morning, I suddenly get a message when I try to pass the files to ACR from Bridge or from the ACR filter in PS, that ACR requires GPU acceleration and my system doesn't support it when it had been working just fine! I had spent the entire day today trying every suggested fix including uninstalling and re installing from Creative Cloud App and even trying to roll my versions back, all to no avail. Photoshop says my Graphics card is compatible and is using it for some of the new AI features and I made sure I have the latest Nvidea driver . Today I was able to download an older version of ACR directly separately from PS and it opens, but I have lost

Yesterday i started getting white outlines when using the Healing brush tool in Photoshop. I've changed multiple settings; including bitrate and RGB/CMYK. I just updated my Photoshop but the probleem seems to still be an issue. The attached files are my settings and a video of the problem.

I opened a pdf with my autocad lines in PS and typically I am able to select a shape and fill it with color on a separate layer but it is not working now. I can either select the entire pdf or nothing at all. I am trying to render a mAster plan for context. Please advise.

I'm trying to add a PNG or GIF format piece of text with transparent background into an animated GIF. I've tried following the instructions HERE but they are not working, I cannot find any "Timeline" as is mentioned separate from the Layers Panel, I don't think the method is intended for us poor cousins of "PS".Can anyone help me?I'm using Photoshop Elements 2019

There seems to be a bug in the latest version of Photoshop AI Generative fill. I started a "help" discussion on the Adobe forum and discovered that a number of people agreed that there is a "problem" in certain circumstances.The first issue is that if an individual in a group is removed instead of the space being filled with the background another fictional individual is generated. If attempts are made to remove several individuals AI generates a group of other images to replace them. If there is sufficient background visible in the photo why can the AI be told via a simple command to fill the space with a background generated from the image?A second foible apparently exists if part of the image has no pixels. If multiple layers are used and due to overlapping layers a small area of "transparent hole" is left it would be very useful if AI could look at the area around the "hole" and generate a fill to match the surroundings. Hi!I've posted this to the community but have realised I posted it in the wrong board. Reposting it here where I think it's more appropriate.  I have the Generative Fill option greyed out in photoshop. Browsing through forums, I found that in order to use it I have to verify my age (you must be over 18) on my adobe account. But I can't find that option anywhere. Where do I find it? I've tried logging out and back into my adobe account (from the adobe account page and from the behance page), but no promt shows up.My account was connected to my google account; I tried disconnecting it to see if the promt would show now when logging back in, but no luck. Could anybody help? All the forum posts I've seen about it (in here and on reddit) are from 2023, but nobody seems to be having this issue now in 2025.I've had artwork featuring nudity that I posted on behance flagged, and have removed all of it since (my bad). I am a medium knowledgable photoshop and illustrator user.  I have a design with a transparent background that I made inside of a circle, in photo shop.  I saved it as a photoshop pdf (vector file) and sent it to be printed and cut out, as a circle.  The print shop informed me that the vector file does not have a cut path around the circle and I need to add one, or it will be cut as a square.  I thought sending it as a vector file (pdf) with a transparent background was all that I needed to do, but apparently that is not the case.  I cannot seem to find instructions on how to add a cut path around this circle while keeping the integrity of the graphics inside of the circle.  I also cannot send this file, opened in illustrator, to my cutting master 4 program, in effort to cut it out of vinyl.  I thought that using image trace feature would work, but it makes the circle imperfect and super overly full of ancor points. Why is the Save As function set up to stop the use of .JPG as a file format? This change is not very conducive to the regular workflow for me and probably most traditional users of this software app! I am using PhotoShop on a Windows 11 PC Intel Core 7 with 128 GB RAM & 6 Internal NVME OR SSD Drives And 1 External 8TB Drive.  

Using the Info panel to change to Photoshop when opening a jpeg file, and also selecting the "Change All" button to open all jpeg files in Photoshop, the selected app reverts to its previous named app, such as Lightroom or Preview! I've read many complaints about this already from other Photoshop users. This is a new issue with Photoshop, and is one which does not occur with any other of my many apps. How can this be fixed?

Hi, I have a problem with the PS startup screen. I don't see thumbnails of recently edited files. I reseted PS settings, reinstalled PS and unfortunately can't turn on preview.Anyone have any idea?  

When I try to print, it goes to PageManager PDF in the printer window. If I change it to my printer, HP LaserJet 1020, it directs me back to save in file name: NsPdf and does not go to printer.

Hello Everyone!Here is a phenomenon that bugs me!After applying certain filters, e.g. Filter Gallery > Dry Brush ... in combination with a Layer Style, e.g. Pattern Overlay (not sure which is the culprit - or both?) (I have the feeling that some layer styles, especially Patterns do put a lot of strain on...?)Working example: a poster of 28"x24", PSD, 8 bit, file size in lower left corner: 168 MB / 300 MBProcessing gets really slow!! ... e.g. saving, enlarging the view (100%) and other actions.I can hear the fans reving up and it takes several second before it reacts.It also seems to handicap to even open the Filter Gallery, which functions fine without a layer with e.g. Pattern Overlay.Btw: this is a very powerful / new machine: 64 GB RAM, Intel i 9, 13 gen., all SSDs, one only for system, Nvidia 2070, Win11 24H2 latest update (March) ... regular cleanup/housekeeping, all in top shape As soon as I deactivate the layer with the filters, all functions normal / fast. Any sugg

Everytime I click on the object selection tool, Photoshop crashes EVERYTIME!   I have lost the edit on numerous photos - as I edit multiple photos simultaneously - I just lost 3 hours of work!  We need better progammers to fix the bugs before the software is released and the automatic updates where all of the settings are reset to to someone else's default settings really causes delay in workflow too!!  Quit ruining our productivity! Machine:Windows 11Intel Core 7128GB RAM   

I'm on Mac Sequoia 15.3.2 and having lots of problems with photoshop.  here are my issues: 1) When I'm in LR and I select an image and then go to edit in PS, I get only one choice....PS Beta.   Then the file doesn't show up when PS Beta opens. 2) Finally after I go to LR again and select to open the file in PS as a smart object, it opens.  However, when I go to save the file, I get the attached error.   The file is saved however it does not appear in LR. This all is really disconcerting and has completely stopped me using photoshop.  Can someone let me know if this has been identified by the powers that be to be fixed?
