Photoshop

The Problem: Today I'm sitting inside a project and I insert an image in a new layer, I take my mouse to drag the image to make it bigger. Usually when I do this, the image I'm expanding will expand while maintaining its proportions (ex: If it's a square image, it will stay as a square as I drag its corners to make it bigger) however now, I go to grab a corner and expand it and the image doesn't maintain its proportions and becomes distorted. I now have to hold shift down while dragging for the image to maintain its proportions.   If there's some kind of setting that'll allow me to go revert back to how it used to be, that'd be great. If possible I'd rather not have to hold shift down everytime I want to expand an image/make an image larger withoit its aspect ratio being affected. I'm just not used to it and its just another extra button I have to press.

I needed this more than I can remember, but don't know if it's even possible?Let's use this image as an example, where it's a white background with black text.Now I would like to paste it, remove the white, change the color of the black text.Using Multiply I can "get rid" of the white, at least, visually speaking. Now how would I be able to change the text color from black to red? I know I could select the white with the magic wand, for example, delete it, etc, but I was looking for some option where I could do this without deleting anything, but also, if possible, a way that allowed me to paste another image with a different font and it would do it automatically for me (via a group or smart object, maybe). The reason I need this right now, is just because I want to test different fonts on top of a background without having to install more fonts. I noticed that you can run and use both apps together on macOS, but not on Windows 11.It's a weird behavior, not sure if intentional. On Windows, if I have either version open and try to open the other one, it just redirects me to the already open version, so no way of me to opening the other one.

I'm having an issue where Photoshop on my iPad is saying that the applications are over running the system and won't load files, but it's also loading slow on my desktop and I'm ending up with corrupted files for what should be simple tasks such as creating a jpg. I already tried uninstalling a good chunk of apps from my iPad including off loading illustrator. I don't believe I have anything cluttering cloud storage because I save my work in dropbox or one drive. I'm unsure of the reason why my storage could be so backed up.  

Dear All,I have following questionI want to take photos of a cylindrical room standing in the center.... (i am taking photos by Smartphone) and i want these pictures to merge... afterwards i would like to have kind of a plain photo of an entire surface of my cylindrical wall...I don't mean panorama effects ...And another question - the wall is painted in different colors and once i have a plain view of my cylindrical wall i want the spots of different color either manually or automatically be marked (contours) and save contours as a separate image.I am absolutely new in photoshop.Thank you so much for your help.

Hello,I have tried the colorize filter on 5 different black and white images.  When the "processing" completes, nothing changes with the image.  Not a single color anywhere. I have tried updating PS.  I tried PS version 26.4.1 and 25.12.1.   I have re-downloaded the filter.  I made sure the images were in RGB.   Not sure what to do.  The filter is there with the toggle switch.  No errors happen.  Just no color.Please help...... Windows 11.  Intel i9.  RTX 3070 gpu.

This is a long standing bug in Photoshop CC. When Photoshop CC is running on a Mac, and files are open, Photoshop CC will continually change the mouse cursor to an arror cursor even when Photoshop is not the foreground app. In fact, this will happen even if Photoshop is on a separate screen/workspace. As long as Photoshop is running and at least one file is open, no matter what app you have in the foreground, no matter what you are doing in any other app, the mouse cursor will continually change inappropriately to the default arrow. Even if the foreground app changes the cursor, Photoshop changes it back. Please, please, please, if Photoshop is not the foreground app, do not keep changing the cursor!

I'm signed in to Adobe and have had the Photoshop app installed for months. I'm trying to go through some tutorials. I watched the Orientation video but when I click on either of the "Start Photoshop Tutorial" links, it just leads me to download Photoshop, which I already have and is open on my computer. How do I get to the actual tutorial?

I took a break from using photoshop for a week, and I never shut down my Mac during this week, but when I started using my photoshop today I noticed I can't zoom in and out by pressing Z and drag to the right and left. It forces me to have that rectangular selection and enlarges that area, which I don't usually use. And I noticed another problem when I tried to rotate the canvas. It says "Could not complete your request because it only works with OpenGL enabled document windows."I'm not sure what does that mean cus I literally did nothing to my photoshop and my Mac this week. So I thought if I restart my Mac and everything will come back to normal, but it didn't. Please help

Hello,I have a Photoshop CS3 Extended license that I purchased through university. This was purchased as a license rather than a subscription monthly or yearly. Up till recently, I have been working fine with this. However unfortunately my HDD failed on my previous laptop. Luckily I managed to retrieve the license key, however this will not allow me to activate on my new laptop. I try to activate over the internet (the license is accepted) but this then advises Activation - No Connection. I am online as am able to access this forum.I have tried activating over the phone, however when I call through this confirms they no longer support activation via phone and to go to this website: Activate and deactivate Adobe products I have followed this through but this says to upgrade to the latest CC version which only lasts a month on the "promotional offer" and past this point I would have to continue payments. As I have a full license already paid for I do not want to go down this route.Please

Please make the generative fill and subject selection bar default to be "pinned"!It's like a damn toddler under my feet when I'm editing. The time it saves by being there is complettly negated by how often I have to move the thing out of my way. Please Please!

Photoshop CC 2017.1.1   Windows 10 Basically I want to be able to have PS open a folder of image files. Let's say 200 images to 1000 images. Open them 1 at a time or in batches of 10 to 15 so I can edit them personally and or verify all is good. Save. Open next image(s) in the file directory. I would like to process all the files until the file directory has been edited. Open. Edit. Save. Close. repeatRight now I drag/drop 15 images at a time into PS and run actions and personal edits on each. Save/Close repeat. I do this repetitive time over and over and I would like to find a way to automate the opening of each image in the file directory.WorkflowOpen first image in file directory. Personal Edits. Save. Close. Open next image in file directory.(Continue this process until all the files in the directory have been processed. Being able to stop at personally apply edits to each.Automate --> Batch Process.This does not seem to work because I can't stop the images as they are

I have used the AutoLoader script (https://www.photoshoptools.ca/photo-workflow/autoloader/) for years and it's worked flawlessly. I just got a new Mac Studio am running Photoshop 2025 and Bridge 2025 and am struggling to get AutoLoader to work on this new setup. I get the following error code. Does anyone know of a resolution? I'm desperate to get this working again.  

I want to replace the person or at least the head of the person in the attached image with the person or head of the person in my second image.  The person or head I want replaced is the fella standing at the far right in the back row with the person or head of the person in the single image attached here.  I am failing miserably at trying to do this.  Can someone please help?    

My macbook signaled that I was running out of storage space.Going to check what all that space was taken up by, I notice that I have about 450GB of “System Data.”Going to the Macbook's Library, I notice that inside the “Cache” folder is an “Adobe” folder that weighs about 350GB.Is it possible to delete this folder? How do I limit it and prevent it from becoming too heavy?Thanks

Hi. When using generative fill, I am used to pressing generative fill, and when I'm done with the prompts,  simply pressing enter/return key to confirm it. But now it simply jumps to the next line and requiring me to press tab+enter or clicking the done button with my mouse. This is extremely inconvenient for me as I'm used to pressing enter. How do I fix this?
