Photoshop

I'm specing out a new Mac Studio, and want to figure out the best configuration.I work a lot with psb files that are quite large - 20 to 50GB. Saving and opening takes a while on my current machine, a 2019 mac pro, even on the internal ssdI have compression disabled, which does speed things up considerablyOn the new machine, internal storage is a lot more expensive than external. Would I see a difference in thunderbolt 4 vs thunderbolt 5 vs internal SSD? Can photoshop save quickly enough to take advantage of the higher speeds?

I have no idea what has happened. However, none of my tiff or RAW files show up as picture thumbnails in Bridge. Just JPEG's do. I have reset things, refreshed things etc, to no avail. If I hover over a tiff of RAW ikon (no image included) it shows some basic meta data, but not all of it. If I hover over a jpeg it shows all meta data. If I double click on a picturless tiff or RAW file it will open properly in Photshopt CC. This is a serious problem for my workflow. Help please. Thanks

Hi, I guess looking at other posts here that I know roughly what the answer to my question here is going to be.However, I believe that there is a bug in Mac OS Sequoia that is stopping me from using my current workflow that I have been using fine without issue for many years. So all my images are stored on a NAS. I open them in Bridge/ACR/Photoshop directly from the NAS, edit, and save the results back to the NAS. The images are never saved locally. The files on the NAS also get automatically backed up. Anyway, I understand this isn't Adobe's recommended workflow and they suggest you work on your files locally for performance reasons. However it seems that Sequoia has introduced a file system issue (bug?)  that makes my current workflow pretty much impossible now. So.. an example.... Double click a raw file in Bridge (should open Photoshop, then open the file in ACR) It really couldn't be much simpler. I can't figure out how to save all generated examples.... so I have 3 nice looking flowers, but... how do I save all 3 flowers to layers?2nd question: Why are the topics listed below so daft?

I recently placed an image in Photoshop, the image disappears when I move it off the canvas.  This didn't happen in previous versions of Photoshop, the image was visible outside the canvas.  Can I change this in preferences or is this a Photoshop update I'll have to live with?

After updating Photoshop recently, I noticed that when I'm resizing the brush tool, the circular cursor will show up, but the second I move my mouse it disappears.My caps lock is indeed off and I can't seem to find anyone else that has this problem. Would anyone happen to know of a solution for the issue?Thanks for the help!

This issue continued to happen even after: Updating PhotoshopChanginge the stylus buttons out of 'switch'Closing Photoshop and starting again.But what worked for me was disconnecting Huion Tablet from my computer. 

Export layers to files stopped working after last update. opening a dialogue: The command "Delete" is not currently available.This script is crucial for my work flow. Any suggestions?   I've tried using the "new" export as.. and quick export, but these currently cannot be recorded in the actions panel.

A view Photoshop versions ago, when placing multiple pdfs, the crop-to-setting chosen for the first pdf, stayed the same for all the pdfs. Since CC 2016 it reverts back to bounding box every time.Can we have that back, please?I have to place hundreds of files every week, you can imagine how cumbersome that is 😉Thanks.

Hello all,Something curious going on. One of those things where everything is fine. You wake up the next day, you've changed nothing and something's wrong. Maybe my cat stood on a function key.I cannot change the setting for whether I want to work in pixels, millimetres or other when creating a new photoshop document (left), but can with an existing document (right). I can change size and resolution but not the format.I've tried the different tabs at the top, clicked on various custom options and gone to preference options but can find nothing to get this to work.Every document I create is unique. Generally, I don'ty use a present. I want to manually type in size, resolution and whether I'm working in pixels or another format. 

I would like all of these adjustments to be one layer like I can in Pixelmator Pro:   

I write some code to execute the auto tone of camera raw , but the image has no effects. Why cant I just save as jpg?

Help needed!!! When I use my paint brush or paint bucket tools it only paints grey. I don't have any masked layers or any smart layers. I've tried painting on a new layer and it still is painting grey. I've reset both tools and I've made sure the color I want is set to the foreground and  it's still painting grey. The images I'm editing were imported as png files, could that be the problem?

Oi, vocês também estão com problemas nesta última atualização do Photoshop? Aqui para mim estava demorando muito para salvar, mas não dava um aviso de falha ou que o app não estava respondendo. Simplesmente não ia. E depois que instalei novamente, exportou imagens em jpg em gif. Se isso não for bug da plataforma, eu não sei o que pode ser. Alguém poderia me ajudar?

with the cropping tool set to 6" x 4.5" it shows the 6 inch wide cropping frame as being the same width as the 8.5 inch wide page 

Hello! This is not the first time and I'm sure I'm not the only one out there with this issue where going out of town on a gig and suddenly needing to use Photoshop and Premiere, but can't because the software needs internet to make sure it's legit otherwise it shuts down. I was in a fast paced environment without internet, because - yes - you don't need internet 100% of the time in your life. I was extremely annoyed by this because it slowed me down. On top of that when I did get the bloody internet, it asked me to log out of one of my devices, because appearently I had been logged into too many which again is false. I only have two devices so this makes no sense at all. My question is, will there ever be a fix to this other than pirating the software knowing that it will work without an internet connection? Cheers!

It might be due to an update, but now, I can't snap layers even when snap is turned on. It always worked before. I've tried turning it off and on again and again, but it does'nt work. Adobe Photoshop vs 26.1.0

Hi There,I'm a cc 2018 user for many years now and today I couldn't start photoshop and became a proposal for a 7 days trial instead.I pay a monthly fee for using photoshop, Lightroom and CR. I don't understand why they offer me a 7 days trial now.can someone explain me what's going on here? thanks in advance for your replyRené
