I'm a student and we use Adobe software like Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects on the school computers. The problem is that we often use a different computer and I have to change the preferences every time. I know I can export the settings and all but it would be a neat feature to offer the option to sync them with the cloud, maybe with a main computer (home) as reference.
With the introduction of the Ki there is a problem that did not exist until then. When downloading and opening an image, e.g. from DALL-E in Photoshop, the prompts plus the dates are taken as file names. Classic view of multiple open files will display only two on the page header due to the length of the file names. So if you prefer the classic view, you must always open the drop-down menu of the opened files via the right arrows. My suggestion would be to introduce a window that, as with the layers, displays a preview of all open files, the size of which should be adjustable in the Preview.I think this would help users who have to constantly switch between many open files.Best regardsMarc
I like to switch the Dual Brush setting on and off while painting to shift between a cleaner and more distorted texture. When turned off, the size of the Dual Brush stamp becomes unaligned from the main brush size setting when being increased/decreased, which means it must be manually reset when switched back on. This could be solved by a toggle to allow the size scaling to be maintained while the Dual Brush is switched off. Such options allow the brush engine to be utilised in more dynamic ways and are really beneficial for experimenting with how to get more out of it. Thanks for your time in reading,Oliver
When digitising art paintings by panning the camera - taking multiple shots - and then stitching them together with Photomerge, the resulting image usually contains significant concave distortion along the long edges (especially when the art has a high aspect ratio of 3:1 or greater). In ACR (as a filter) the distortion tool can straighten these curved horizontal edges well, but because it works in both planes simultaniously, this then results in the vertical sides (that were relatively straight to begin with) taking on a convex curvature. The only way I've found to adjust the image is to firstly get the "best compromise" to all edges in ACR using the distortion tool and then attempt to "fine-tune" the image using warp transforms. If the art being digitised is already framed then this technique doesn't work well because it's virtually impossible to get an edge perfectly straight using the warp transform (no matter how many adjustment handles I add). And even if the art isn't
Need help please. Using a Samsung galaxy a9 tablet with the photshop app premium and it won't save a raw shot or convert into a jpeg at all
My request is for the Brush Tool, again! As I paint, I like to make frequent changes and tweaks to the brush engine as my needs and intentions for that brush develop; kind of like changing gears in a variably subtle or drastic manner. Saving the brush as a preset is not helpful because I adjust it so frequently. It would be very helpful to have the option to add an additonal or multiple Brush Tools to the tool bar, each with separate engines and mappable shortcuts, which could be rapidly switched between to grasp or fabricate a brush of a totally different nature without having to discard my previous settings before switching back again. In effect, I want to be able to suspend my current brush engine and use another without having to save the preset in the middle. I think many users could find employment for a Primary and Secondary Brush Tool option to very quickly alternate between the strengths of either brush without being slowed down by saving presets - or for helping to design com
I build wall mural "blanks" that serve as templates to be filled with artwork. Guides are an integral part of these templates. We use them show live area vs bleed, along with things like wall corners and ceiling contours. It's maddening that I can't lock guides and save that behavior before handing over a template. I've heard "it's an application function" as a reason for the inability to save. All right, but then let me choose my default guide behavior in Settings. If I could set "locked" as our default Photoshop guide behavior, we'd eliminate the risk of guides getting screwed up accidentally. An errant guide isn't such a big deal in the template itself, but our working mural files can run upward of 80GB, so fixing an accidental guide move can be a hugely heavy lift, and in some cases isn't even possible on any but our hardcore production workstation. I've been able to save locked guides in Illustrator and InDesign since forever. I can't believe I can't in Photos
The symmetry tool has been one of my most regularly used tools since its introduction since as a concept artist I'm often designing symmetrical things. However, when I work I tend to have multiple drawings spread out on my canvas, and I'll bounce between them as I work, which means having to recreate the axis of symmetry whenever I do this.I know I could just center everything on the same axis, but that would mean having to constantly hide/unhide whatever I'm not working on, and I'd also miss out on being able to view all the work at once. So I'd love the ability to assign a unique axis of symmetry to an individual layer (or group!) that functions identically to the current tool, and then be able to (with a keyboard shortcut) toggle between the global symmetry I've defined and the layer-specific ones. And ideally, I'd be able to redraw any axis without affecting other existing ones, whether global or layer-specific.
Make an Autofill masked area feature for Freeze Mask in Liquify (as you've done recently for Remove tool). It should be optional, I believe. Will help to save time. We draw a loop around an area we want to mask (freeze) and it is filled automatically.
Photoshop has given very good updates in the last few years which is very commendable... There is a great need to add one more option in Photoshop, 3D Color Space Tool which we can use... Such tools make the work and the software easier. 3D Color Tool is already provided in many software like 3D Luts Creator, DaVinci Resolve's Color Warper tool, all these make the software very easy for color correction... Please add such a tool in Photoshop as well..
The Generate Normal Map tool was recently removed, but I got a lot of use out of it and would like it back. I understand you removed it along with the 3D functionality, but it seems like the image-to-normal tool could have remained on its own. I didn't find much use for the rest of the 3D tools, but the loss of this normal map tool put a big hole in my production pipeline. I've heard that Adobe suggests people use Substance for this kind of thing , and while I'd love to do more with Substance, that's an expensive upgrade I'm not prepared to make for this one feature. Thank you!
I love the new Core Tools Workspace. It's perfect for teaching beginners. I have a couple of things that I would like see improved. 1. I think the crop tool should go below all of the selection tools. The selection tools have always been the top tools and the crop tool is in the way between the lasso and object selection tool. 2. The ... for accessing the rest of the tools is weird. If I click on it I get a random tool that pops up - I should get access to all the tools. If I right click I get all of the tools and have to select eidt tool bar at the top. The funcionality needs a little work.
In a similar way Affinity supports OCIO it would be great if Adobe atleast kept up. The plugin someone has made does not work properly and is far from ideal, it requires LUTs to be made for each possible combination, its not fluid at all and the result is often incorrect. Full 32bit support is pretty vital in general for everything in PS Photoshop is the industry leader and has been for years but if you don't keep up with the times you will loose your user base.
I'm a photographer specializing in portraits and men's physique, and I frequently have clients requesting enhanced definition for their abs, or even for me to add abs entirely. This process can be tedious, and generative AI could significantly streamline it. However, the moderation filters are incredibly sensitive! As a professional, I often retouch nude images, and I find it frustrating that Adobe's restrictive policies prevent me from using the tools I pay for. It feels overly conservative and short-sighted.What’s more, many of the images I retouch aren't even nudes, but generative fill tools still flag them for "community violations," which is ridiculous, given that the work I do on my personal computer is private and unrelated to any community guidelines.Just a thought.I’ve since switched to using Stable Diffusion for inpainting, and it does an AMAZING job, far surpassing Adobe—and it’s free. Adobe really needs to step up its game.
I have several projects that needs to be reskinned (same distribution of assets but different artwork). I normally duplicate an initial project to work on it and change the arwork, but sometimes, duplicated files are linked to the inistial project instead of the duplicated one. (Photoshop takes this linking as correct and doesnt show me a warning, so I need to check all linked layers individually. I would like to know if there is a list of all linked smart objects with its path (just like the initial window that usually warns you when a linked smart object is missing.), but this time I need to see a window like the one I attach but with all linked smart objects. Any help? thank you!
This would make life 1 million times easier.
Hi everyone! I wanted to share a quick and easy trick I’ve been using in Photoshop to remove backgrounds from images, especially when you want to keep fine details like hair or fur. Open the image in Photoshop.Go to Select > Select and Mask.Use the Quick Selection Tool to roughly select the object you want to keep.In the "Select and Mask" workspace, adjust the Edge Detection and use the Refine Edge Brush to clean up tricky areas (like hair).Once you’re happy with the selection, choose Output to: Layer Mask and hit OK. This method works great when you need to remove complex backgrounds but don’t want to lose important details. I hope this helps someone out!Feel free to share any other tips or tricks you use for background removal!
Previously, photoshop-beta had a function of choosing generation effects and both types of generation: generation of a picture from scratch and generation of specific areas. Currently, this feature is only available for full composition generation, which makes it difficult to create artwork using AI while maintaining a unified style.I would be happy if this function. also returned for generating selected sections of the composition, because then the amount of time spent on embedding elements into an already existing composition is significantly reduced. The process itself will become easier, more efficient and more pleasant. In addition, it directly affects the quality of generation and the relevance of the request. For example: AI does not understand what "plasticine" is when I need plasticine parts, even with the addition of a photo reference, it is difficult and stressful. But thanks to the inclusion of the "plasticine" + reference effect, AI would cope with this task much more easil
Hi. I wanted to ask about the generative fill function in photoshop. If I make changes to a photo using generative fill, will I be able to see this new photo in different perspectives after the changes e.g. from the side, from above, from the back? Can we add such a function? thank you Ewelina
I typically alternate between 4x6 and 4x5 cropping. It would be great if we could set up a custom shortcut key for switching between the two. This would greatley speed up my workflow as I am editing hundreds of images on a daily basis!
I realize the app is a work in progress. I hope an Alignment feature is in the works. I would think of it as a basic requirement for many.
I use pretty much the same basic tools in all my images. I would LOVE to be able to save personalized favourites in a top bar or something, for example different "dodge brush sizes" and just click on those directly the next time, instead of clicking through the menu, size, opacity and so on. This would save so much time! (unless there is one and I have missed it?)
It would be great if the Magic Wand's right-click could have access to "content-aware fill" and "Generative Fill".I have no issues switching to the Marquee (M) or Laso Tool (L). But again like I said, it would be nice for a friend. If it is too complicated throw my idea in the trash.
I really can't believe there's not an easier way to add brushes to favorites folders. Some suggestions: 1. A heart or star icon next to the brush that you can check, maybe there's a dropdown to select which favorites folder you want to add it to. 2. Right click, duplicate, drag brush to favorites folder. You get the idea and I know you're capable of an easy update.
