Hi all, I'm adding abstract backgrounds to isolated objects and sometimes I'm so happy with the result that I would like to apply the same background to another object. If I simply copy/paste the prompt, I never get the same results. When I play with MidJourney (or similar), there is something called a "seed" that allows to stay very close to the original picture. Is there something similar with the generative fill? Thanks
Someone post a picture file with extension .Jfif and my problems isthat I can't open the file, the only way for open the file is rename the suffix in .Jpg
When you want to add text on an image with generative fill, it only adds text in English. For example, when I want the expression Çalıkuşu to be added in Turkish, it is written as "blusha" in English.
I do wildlife as well as some portrait work and have enjoyed the AI background functions. One area that would help me a lot in combining shots with background would be the setting of the color and angle of the light source. Descriptions to include source being from in front of the camera or behind the camera as well as angles for that source and then some control over the color of the light ie sunlight, incandescant, flourescent, spot or diffuse light.I am more of a science, math type and not too artsy and I have found the AI to be extremely helpful in adding to the look and feel of my output
When trying to paste an object as a Smart Object from anywhere ex. Illustrator, in Photoshop, one can only Scale or Skew but not Distort. One has to convert the pasted object as a Smart Object once again. This shouldn not happen. I recommend Adobe to fix this very old issue! Thanks for your support.
A few days ago I installed the latest Photoshop version (2024) and I sadly noted live blur effect was removed from the adjustment layer options. It was a really useful tool, especially when I mockup showcase and photo editing. Is there any chance to get it back, please? 🙂
Dear Adobe Product Development Team, I hope you are doing well. I am writing to propose a new feature that I believe would greatly enhance Adobe’s suite of tools for real estate photography: an interactive before-and-after slider. This feature would enable users to effortlessly compare images by sliding a bar left and right to view the before and after states of a property, offering automatic comparisons crucial for showcasing changes and improvements.Feature Proposal: Interactive Before-and-After Slider**1. Overview of the FeatureThe proposed before-and-after slider would allow users to:Compare Two Images: Display two images side by side (e.g., before and after a renovation or staging) with a draggable slider in between.Automatic Comparison: The slider would dynamically reveal and hide parts of each image as it is moved, providing a clear, visual comparison.Customization Options: Users could adjust the slider’s position, overlay effects, and visibility to suit their nee
. I make brushes and nee the full functionality like the desktop version.
Count tool is great idea but feels almost useless without the ability to save an image with it. For example:If you're presenting a few concepts to an art director (In my case 25 concept art pieces) the count tool is great because you can number things very fast. However I was dissapointed soon after when I found you can't export count tool numbers to a jpeg or rasterize it like the type tool. Not sure why they made it this way but it would be amazing if you could rasterize the count tool numbers like the type tool or impliment the count tool feature inside the type tool itself. I should note that I am aware of all the work arounds like taking screen shots, or whatever other workaround but adding this feature is such a simple thing that would be helpful for professionals. In its current state its not as useful, especially if you're working online with an art director and just want to send a quick high res image with numbers for your concepts without having to type them out one by o
In the beginning, there was the Photoshop~ Over time, the list of things a person might reasonably wish to do to pixels grew rather unweildy. Remember Photoshop CS3 Extended? I do. Remember the "3D hat" option? I remember a time when the hue and cry was for Adobe to stop adding features to the "bloated" Photoshop (and I remember waiting 5 minutes for CS2 to load). Cutting a lengthy reminisce short, we got Lightroom. It's bundled with Photoshop and remains a popular tool for photography-processing-minded folks. It's basically a set of already-existing tools--mostly from Bridge and Photoshop--rearranged into custom-designed interface and workflow for a major area of digital media. Here we are again; Adobe has a certain reputation among independent digital paint artists for being "evile" for being rental software loaded up with genAI and other such subscription features side-loaded onto an otherwise "good" digital painting tool. Adobe's brush format is the defacto
Newer Sony cameras saves HEIF images with the .HIF extension, which Photoshop currently doesn't recognice. A workaround is to replace the .HIF extension with .HEIF and Photoshop opens it as normal. It is a simple solution, but it would be more practical if Photoshop would just recognice the .HIF extension in the first place.
Would users benefit by a more efficient default file type in a Lightroom/Photoshop workflow? (I'm going to mention Lightroom and Photoshop together as they are intended to be used in a single workflow)Example of current file sizes:I merged 3 50MP images from a SONY alpha 1 into a DNG file and it is only 22.1 MB. When I enhance an image in Photoshop Lightroom it goes up to 66MB, but then I use 3 of them to create an HDR it goes back DOWN to 22 MB. This tells me that Adobe isn't taking advantage of the DNGs correctly. The HDR should have more image data than the non-HDR orriginals. Worse yet, when I open the image in Photoshop and save it as the default format, it saves a TIFF that is 675+MB. And yes, that is flattened with no extra channels. Isn't there a way to make an efficient way to save files in our workflow? I do a lot of compositing. If I load 10 22MB images + some layer masks, couldn't you have that save EVERYTHING including the orriginal raws and
Hello, I just wanted to express my interest in having the ability to use Photoshop when it is in a resized window. Currently; the toolbars do not actually "scroll" at all, to my knowledge anyway, when the window is in resizeable mode (vertically dampened, not horizontally, that works fine because you haven't changed the height of the toolbar "box" or "container"). So yes, you can't actually access the brushes, text box tool, etc when it is resized. I guess I could if I knew the shortcuts and had a better working knowledge of that, but I don't.
As Adobe is the leader in the field, I don't understand why you do not provide the same tools as other very simple and less aknowledged Apps like SketchBook (which was for free some years ago, just saying...).For example: Ruler, Ellipse, French Curve, Symmetry, Steady Stroke, Preditive Stroke and so on.I get frustrated to have to import my Photoshop work in Sketchbook to do some stuff that I could make in Photoshop itself. Please add this simple tools, I think that a lot of users would be very happy, like me!Thanks,Ele
I'm using TIFFs with transparency very often and ticking option when saving file again and again is annoying. So I suggest to add option in Preferences-File Handling-Save transparent TIFF always on.Thanks!

Dear Adobe Photoshop Development Team, I am writing to propose the addition of an Image-to-Image (IMG2IMG) function to the Adobe Photoshop AI suite. This feature would allow users to upload existing artworks and utilize the AI to generate creative variations based on the original pieces. Such a capability would significantly enhance creative exploration by providing artists with new perspectives on their work. While I recognize potential concerns regarding the misuse of this function to replicate the works of other artists, it is important to consider that such risks are inherent to any powerful tool. Adobe’s commitment to ethical guidelines and the implementation of safeguards could effectively mitigate these risks. Moreover, unrestricted AI models already available on the market offer similar capabilities without such ethical constraints. As an avid user of various AI tools, including AUTOMATIC1111 for projects with a distinct horror and gore aesthetic, I believe
Would it be possible for the devs to add in a Set Matte effect that works like After Effect's Set Matte effect? I use Photoshop to composite together V-Ray EXR passes for product renders, and regularly use RGB multimatte passes for isolating different shaders or models. Having a Set Matte effect that can use different Multimatte passes automatically via some easy linking system to the RGB of another layer, without me having to create masks manually via the channels would be a huge timesaver!
I shoot apparel images all-day everyday on a rotatable ghost mannequin and sometimes the apparel and the camera don't lineup absolutely perfect, which means that my apparel my look slightly rotated from the camera. Right now, I have to figit with Perspective, Distort and Liquify to make it right. What I really need, desperately need is a way to rotate an image (background removed) on the Y-axis WITHOUT using 3D mode. I just need to slightly rotate the image easily. When shooting the photos, its almost impossible to see this error UNTIL you edit and remove the background. Why can't I select the Rotate tool and then use the Option or Command key (MacOS) to constrain the rotation to an axis of rotation depending on how you move the mouse just like you can in 3D mode. This doesn't sound so far fetched of an idea.
Putting in a request to be able to change the default file type when hitting 'Save' in Photoshop. I do a lot of compositing work and always work in PSB. Given that I work on hundreds of images per year this would save me a lot of mouse clicks and better streamline the workflow.
can anyone tell me if there is a way to get open tabs in photoshop to simply resisze themselves (the same way that open tabs in a browser do) so that they all fit visibly on the screen? or at least you should be able to just swipe easily left and right on the track pad to move them over to see what is off the screen instead of messing with that tiny little arrow thing to pull up the little dropdown list. this screenshot below shows what i'm talking about, the tabs indicating each open image don't resize when others are opened so they are never all visible at once, which would make them so much easier to manage. it would necesarrily append the text/title of each tab, but browsers have already normalized this, you can just hover the cursor over the tab and it will tell you what is beneath, but you can't do that when the tab is no longer even physically on the screen as is the case currently. maybe there is already a way to turn on this behavior, but if not it would
I would like to suggest that the Adobe Photoshop design team add a starburst creation function to Neural Filter.
Hello everyone!I am a retoucher and to speed up things I do my work disabling file compression while saving. When the job is done and approved, I made an action to just open the file select a group of layers and then it saves the file.Quite happy about the result in terms of time wasted while working, which is almost done, but this way I make the life of my NVME shorter and I lose a lot of time running the final action and archiving the files.I know PS can save in background while we work but we cannot create smart object till the saving process is ended. So almost every image I am stuck for 2 minutes.I have 5950x and it is a shame I cannot use the full potential of my CPU, but even the cheap cpus have 8 threads now. Please let me know what you think about itThank you
