Photoshop

Obviously the default file type for the normal Save As is going to be PSD, but if I'm using save as copy, I'd like the ability to set my default file type to PNG, or whatever format I'm frequently using at the time.

Please, make the modals with OK and Learn More buttons also availabe to close/dismiss with ESC key.The need to press ENTER to dismiss the modal window is very annoying, and to be true, i've never used the Learn More button, as I do know why no layer is selected - i have missed it with cursor and ctrl click (clicked on locked background). Pressing the esc key is usually faster and logical.

I find using an iPad Pro connected to a Mac using sidecar works great as a pressure sensitive tablet/monitor. However, I also find that then the whole Photoshop UI is really hard to work with. I would bet those with dual monitor setups would benefit from a smarter setup. See the screenshot of what I'm using:  That's my main 32 inch monitor. Then I have to drag the photo editing window to the iPad. The nice thing is I can see everything at once. The not nice thing is it's all the same color, confusing and looks bad.  My questions: what percentage of users use 2 monitors or an attached iPad or Wacom tablet/monitor? Is it worth offering an improved UI for them?

I am an illustrator and a long-time Photoshop user. I often scan in line art and use Photoshop to modify the drawing and then add layers of color or collage. I select a layer in the layer panel to move an object in that layer. Then when I click in my image with the move or selecting tool, if I don't click directly/perfectly on the object in the layer that I have selected, a different object or layer becomes active and moves instead. The only way to avoid this is if I zoom in to be able to see and click precisely on a small or thin-lined object that I wish to move. I find this very limiting, artistically. I often like being able to see most of the image and how the move or change affects the overall image. I have worked with layers that contain thin lines and small objects for many years and it used to be that if the layer was selected in the panel/palette that would be the only layer that my actions would affect. I would like a button in the layers window that can invert the vector mask.

I have a photo that an agent tried to help with but said "Neural Filters is unable to recognize the image as it is Pixilated.  The Filter can't be applied"   Sharpen does not help any of the photos I am trying to Deblur.  It would be great if the AI technology could be improved to help with the Sharpen Tools.  They were taken from the older IPhones so not the clearest & some are night shots. 

I illustrate in photoshop by painting within Solid Color layers, instead of standard layers. I therefore paint withing the layer mask, not the layer itself. This gives me the benefit of being able to change colors of layers very easily, and mimmics a vector workflow within Photoshop - at least as far as color and layer management is concerned. This is wonderful for very complex illustrsations. My feature request is that the move tool's (crtl or command) selection feature should also offer the option to select layer masks, not just layers or groups.This simple addition would make the process of working with solid color layers way faster. It would make Photoshop behave much like Procreate. And the only thing I like about Procreate is that the color and layers act like solids. Thanks!

Here's a idea for Photoshop for Web! Add the tool warp text to Photoshop Web, it would add more creative freedom into Photoshop Web. I hope this tool gets into Photoshop Web. Also, I moved to Linux and I need the warp text. In full Photoshop it haves the tool, but not in Photoshop Web.

In adobe applications, there should be a search bar to find different pixel brushes.

After all the years of using Photoshop, for some reason the paint bucket tool still leaves a pixelated edge/line when colouring whole sections. Or when drawing with the brush tool, you then fill the blank space with the bucket, and it leaves the same pixelated edge that you still need to colour over. There are other cheaper apps out there that seem to have dealt with this problem, yet I am amazed that with all of Adobe's weatlth and tech knowledge, this is something that still hasn't been resolved... As a long time paying customer, can we please see this fixed for future updates. Thanks! 

I was using the Remove tool and thought it would be extremely convenient to just create a path using the Pen tool and then select the Remove tool from the list of Stroke Path options; however, the Remove tool isn't listed.

I am very happy with PS over the past several years. Between PS and LrC these 2 apps receive the most attention of all Adobe apps.  One of the key products which would really enhance Adobe apps is posting the Changelog information. Most apps I have worked with to include Microsoft include changes made in an update. This would be very informative for users to try tools they discard as not of added value to try out the update to see if the enhancements may be easier to use.   

We deal with a lot of really faded old color film negatives which I will often use the colorization filter to restore the color by various methods such as using auto color and then using manual color and the eyedropper to replace parts of the image with the right color to match the original film image...or what it was supposed to be. For instance, even though the film is faded and color shifted, I can still tell that a car in the picture was supposed to be blue and a mailbox was supposed to be red. After , I let the software save this in a  new layer and then I play with the opacity and mix it in to where it is still acceptable as displaying what the original colors of the image were supposed to be. What would be nice is a "color restoration" option in the colorization window that could be checked and then the A.I. would take into account the original colors of the film scan, interpreting, what the colors should be of different objects in the picture. Although I am a big fan of the new Neural Filters... I don't understand the 'new' parametric ones. Wouldn't it be better to 'clean up' or 'enhance' the ones that have lingered without any updating the lengthy list of filters that have been languishing for many years already there in 'filters' instead? For instance, 'Artistic, Brush Strokes and Sketch'? 

Our use of Siteimprove app indicates that to raise our SEO numbers, we need to use AVIF files (instead of .jpg, .png or webp) Is anyone else finding Adobe support for this — a maker or converter? What do you think?

Just as you can lock the tabs of your workspace ...eg layers, channel, swatches etc ...I propose the ability to lock the title tab of document itself (ie the tab that says the title ....eg Untitled-1... )...I keep accidently grabbing the bar (where the tabs are) while drawing and it grabs the canvas and it becomes a floating window which is very irritating! Anyone else concur?

In the animation timeline, how do I adjust the duration of multiple layers at the same time? Currently when I select multiple layers and try to extend all of them, it only changes the duration of the layer I'm dragging instead of adjusting all of them. 

It would be beneficial to incorporate an additional functionality within the clone stamp tool, allowing it to sample across all currently selected layers. An instance where this feature would be particularly useful is during the application of the frequency separation technique. In this scenario, one may create a new empty layer positioned atop the "high" layer, utilizing a clipping mask to confine its effect to the "high" layer. Subsequently, one would aim to select both the "high" layer and the newly created empty layer, enabling the clone stamp tool to exclusively sample from these two layers while maintaining visibility of underlying layers.

Sometimes when I select an object I don't get all the object in the box.  I would like to expand the box after selecting the object and then pressing enter to start the selection tool.  

It will be interesting if I can open an app screenshot and convert it in an html with the same styles 

Im sorry but the AI generator currently implimented in Adobe Photoshop is very much subpar. Please dont think you can get your AI to the level of Dall E 3. You will condem us users to years of subpar AI that might no EVER catch up. You should focus on AI editing tools. Not image generation tools. You should be looking at ways to leverage Dall E into Photoshop and and your focus should be on how you edit those photos to work in the enviroment. See attached image for sample of what I mean....
