There is currently no way to drag and drop styles to move them around in the Character / Paragraph Styles pallette in Photoshop CC. It makes the management of styles difficult once you have more than a dozen or so in that pallette. Please correct this!
An idea for a shadow tool:Sidelight gives us the shadows and appearance of depth that can make an image more interesting than flat front light; sometimes flat light is all we have at that time. There's no way to fix that without knowing what is nearer and closer in the image, and therefore what casts a shadow over what. Some smartphones now have LiDAR sensors that can measure distances to a grid of points in the image and capture that at the same time as the photo for use in VR.Using the depth info from the LiDAR file, plus a user choice of the direction of shadows they would like created, a mask of gray tones could be generated that selectively darkens areas in the image to generate the illusion of the shadows that sidelight creates. The mask would darken pixels that are slightly further distant (but not greatly further in the distance, the nearby tree won't cast a shadow on the building a mile away) from bright zones, in the direction of shadow we want across the image, with dark
I'd love to see same approach in Photoshop where we could anchor a mask to a group of other layers or certain layer comp. Thus having dynamicly updating mask . I know we could do it with clipping by groups but it so complicated so I start to loose the idea what clips what and often couldnt understand a thing in my own file just next morning. So a mask we could point to certain group bellow or certain layer comp would be much more easier to read . Especially if it wouldn't require to turn intensity into transparency. Even better if such anchor could read certain RGBA channel of such group.
it's cool to have procedural filters in Photoshop beta. Although I did simple "height to normal" sbsar and it works properly only on 32 bit image in Photoshop. But please , let it work as adjustment layers too . Like in Affinity Photo. I understand it may work slow but let us deside on our own. With GPU support it might still be ok.
While working with multiple monitors sometimes I put photoshop in a different window. HOWEVER, when I do that, the following pop ups within the program always open up in the original spot. It would be cool that whenever you drag the main working window to another monitor that all following popups, pop up inside the main window in the monitor on which it was dragged. Hope that makes sense. Cheers!
Could we have an option to re-link all linked files to a new folder at once. If that new folder have same named files. it's so tediouce to do it one by one. Maybe sombody could write a script that can do it ? Something that would show a dialog where we could paste new path and Photoshop would re-link selected smart objects to files of same name in that new folder. I often need it when I do versions of same 3d render I save in a new folder . So all AOV files could be relinked at once.
The REMOVE TOOL is WAAAAAAY TOOOOO SLOOOOOW. It's insane guys.
On Photoshop (Beta)* when using the Pen tool and I press the Option key on my keyboard, it changes to the Eyedropper tool instead of the Convert Point tool as it happens on the Photoshop stable version. It's annoying because I just want to 'break' an anchor point or handle easily and fast while I'm still creating the path. Why would I need an Eyedropper as a secondary tool if I'm just working with paths?—Please, revert that update, or tell me how I can change it myself. Thanks!*Adobe Photoshop Version: 25.4.0 20240105.m.2455 eaba665 arm64
I like to color change or color match using the HSB method and color samplers. By default, every time I create a new color sampler, the info panel color values show me RGB values. I would like to have an additional specification on the info panel preferences, allowing me to choose the value kind I want to see (avoiding selecting it every time there is a new color sampler). In my case, I would like to have always HSB values showing up, not RGB. #colorsampler #infopanel #HSB
25.4.0 Mac OS As the title says. I really, really miss doing quick path changes/adjustments and having the droptool show up when I use pen/path tools and try my auto-reflex shortcuts makes little sense. Also happy new year! \o/
I have a suggestion: Is it possible to provide more than one method of payment for Adobe programs such as PayPal or instapay .. etc., as I cannot pay using the existing methods ?
When using free transform, scale, skew, distort, warp, ect. we are stuck with only being able to use the bounding box's square 90 degree default orientation. I think we need to be able to rotate the orientation of the bounding box without rotating the object so that we can perform transforms at angles other than true vertical and horizontal. Like for example if I want to make box man longer when he's square with the canvas, easy peasy. But if I want to do the same transform when hes at an angle, it wont work the same and ends up skewing him instead of just streatching him longer. If we could rotate the transform box to match the objects orientation then we could easily do transforms at any angle, but currently the only way seems to be to rotate, apply transform, scale, and then rotate to its original position. This makes it currently a destructive guess and check process, and for smart objects requires rasterizing before the first rotation since the boundi
I print many images every day that are all different, but must all be the same size for printing. As it stands, when placing an image into a frame, the aspect ratio is mantained at all times and therefore, sometimes the image will be partially obscured behind the frame (when the image ratio doesn't match that of the frame exactly). By adding this feature, when toggled, placing an image into a frame would stretch (or shrink) the image (breaking aspect ratio if need be) to fill the frame edge to edge. This would allow very fast workflow, simply dropping the image into the frame, and clicking print. Canva already has a feature like this that makes mass production very easy and fast when printing large quantities that all must be a certain size. Simply drop the image into the frame, and boom, the image has filled out the frame exactly and is ready for print. No transforming, no scaling, no snapping to guides or dragging corners.
Could we have a special blend mode you typiclly could find in compositing software . Depth combine . deep combine , Height blend whatever they call it. You can find a formula in Blender compositing nodes but basically its like "lighter" or "Max" blending mode which outpit a mask where pixel of layer 1 is higher than layer2 . Typically it's just (layer1 max layer2)-layer1 and some treshold on top of it . Perfectly re-creatable in Photoshop by doing a special clipping group stack . But wouldn't it be much easier and convenient to just have a special blending mode doing so.
I love erase blend mode in Affinity photo. You can do clipping be groups in Photoshop but erase mode is so much easier in many cases and can replace a whole stack of clipping groups sometimes. Would also be nice to have special custom blend modes with access to other layers pixel information . So instead of doing complicated groups of stacked layers clipping something, something we sometimes could't figure out a thing about just next day, we could just make an expression : (Layer1 max layer2) -layer1 for a mask . Or maybe a displace layer which using R and G for vector and B for distance from an image bellow working on the fly by an expression . It could simplify layer stacks tremendously and be something having usual advantages of layers and still a bit of flexibility of nodes . Start with erase
Hey, so I was just checking my credits, and they went much faster then I thought. I found out that for every "load more" that's a credit?!?! I understand to a point, but when I get results that puts a LIZARD in someone's hair, or adds a creepy claw to something, why should we be charged? It's like it's still in Beta at times.... I feel like there needs to be something changed so we only are charged for the USEABLE options, OR fix the commands so that we aren't getting bad results... I send in feedback all the time, but not sure if it's helping.
I've grudgingly accepted the Contextual Task Bar now that I've trained it to stay out of the way, and started exploring how it can assist my workflow. I like that when I'm working with text, I have quick access to font, size and color, and I can see how adding too many more options to the task bar would start to hamper its utility. That said, when I'm working within a a single block of text, the most likely change I'll make to a particular word or passage is making it italic or bold. In fact I need to do this often enough that I created a post about it—the question is, would it streamline anybody else's workflow, or am I just a freak?
Having sbsar as filter over smart object is cool but is not good enough . We need something like live filters in Affinity Photo. I often use Photoshop to edite and composite height maps and to see what you are doing you need some real time preview . A normal map or just live bump lighting . The current embos fx doesn't help much with that . Please Adobe make embos FX working over heigh image . Curently it works only in 32 bit mode and looks not very good . Blurry and stepped. Let's fix it that way it would work not over layer alpha but rather intensity.
The new lightroom feature Point Colour is incredibly powerful. While the photoshop HSL adjustment layer is more powerful than the lightroom HSL adjustments, I think having a point colour adjustment layer in photoshop would still be very useful for touching up colours
hello there, I want to say that adobe photoshop is the best tool for graphics designer and I'm using it for 5 years. But there is something I don't like about photoshop or some other software of adobe. It changes shortcuts like for redo shortcut was [ctrl + shift + z] but in some version. It is different. It reduce the efficiency. I want you that never change the shortcut of Photoshop. I'm really looking forward for your reply.Thank you.
Can someone please tell me why I can't use letters as a shortcut key for Application Menu and Panel Menu? Or is it just how Photoshop works? Because in CSP, I can use the keyboard letters on any tool that I want. This is pretty annoying since I use some of my pentab's buttons and dial for the shortcuts in CSP. But if I can't do the same in Photoshop, then it'll be a big problem. Please help.
Hello, currently I'm testing Adobe Firefly within Photoshop. It would be more convienient to see the use of credits within the tool instead of having to login at the Adobe.com page all the time to check how much credits are still available. It would be also fair, if there is an error and nothing was KI generated due to it, that I don't have to pay a credit for it. Often the generated pictures/expantions are not usable because they don't fit to the rest of the picture or they lack in quality, but it still costs credits. Sure currently we have a lot KI credits to use per month but it is still not fair. It is also not possible to recreate the same generated picture. Sometimes we use pictures still with watermarks on it for testing purposes and if we decided which picture we gonna use, we buy it. And the KI is not able to recreate the exact alteration on the now bought picture. Would be nice to be able to "mark" an alteration. I know it might be a bit difficult to accomplish.
hello. It takes a lot of time to import and render video files in PhotoShop (e.g. it takes 5 hours to render a 4K video 15min file in MacStudio Ultra).I would like to render using Media encoder, but PhotoShop does not allow rendering of videos using Media encorder. So, my request for improvement is that Media encoder be improved so that it can be used when rendering video in PhotoShop.Currently, the CPU & GPU are not effectively utilized when rendering video in PhotoShop (as observed by the CPU Performance Monitor). The reason for this request is that I would like to use the Dehaze function in CameraRAW, which can be read from PhotoShop, for video.Or, I would like to be able to use Camera RAW from Premiere Pro, or add the ability to use Defaze effects directly from Premiere Pro.
Isnstead of all those "neural filters" I tried and never found doing anything useful for me as well as this glorious "generate" button please spend some time to make java script writing AI for Photoshop. To help us to get rid of annoying routine Photoshop so full of. Something I would instruct like: "crop the image to all those paths saved in Path panel , and save those selected layercomps for each crop as tga files in destination folder pasting alpha1 from layercomp named alpha in those having "_a " in layercomp name. or "make those linked smart objects show their alpha 1 of linked files, or red channel" .or "build a layer stack of clipping groups using those selected smart objects as clipping ones" or "relink selected smart objects to sourse files of
