Photoshop

Holding down the Shift key while using the Crop Tool in Photoshop should override any Crop Ratio like “1:1 (Square)” that is set.   Just let me drag the box out to the size I want with out needing to Clear the crop ratio.   I waste way to much time clearing the crop ratio, because I want to make the canvas wider, or what ever.   Then I have to set the crop ratio again.  I don’t care which key is used.  Shift or Alt.   Cntl is already used for some thing. 

Regardless of what format the image is you’re working on in Photoshop, when it comes to ‘save as’ I would like it be shot jpg every time as the first choice so I don’t have to scroll to an option. This would save seconds every time. Not much to ask for a simple option.

Could work like "layer cleanup" tool where you can delete all hidden layers at once. Instead this links all unlinked masks at once so when you resize things and realize something is unlinked, you don't have to hunt for which layer it is. 

Photoshop/Firefly does a respectable job with faces behind flat panes of glass. But it has no idea what to do with a face behind a curved glass surface (car windows). I understand how the algorithm works, and why it failed, but if Firefly were a genie...

I’ve never understood why the Native Properties Panel doesn’t allow users to adjust the Pixel Layer and Layer Mask property sliders within the same tab. When working with high-volume projects where efficiency and retouching speed is key, being able to skip having to manually click on the layer mask to adjust its feathering non-destructively is a massive pain. The Properties Panel already makes poor use of the amount of space it takes up. There is lots of dead space and area there to use.Users should have the option/choice to condense both tabs (Pixel Layer + Layer Mask) into one to save time.

I'm sure like me, you all have multiple Photoshop documents/projects on the go at the same time. Well as soon as you get to around 5 or more documents open at once, the tab list of documents no longer fit across the toolbar.It's also equally frustrating that the active tab you're currently working on doesn't just display the name of the psd, but also displays the name of the currently selected layer (like I care), the zoom level (why on earth?!) and the colour mode (meh?). I'm confident that there are ways in which Adobe could change the layout of the tabs and I have a few ideas which could work. Let me know what you think. I absolutely love the new gradient tool, being able to adjust the gradient after applying. I think my earliest experience in Adobe Photoshop is version 2. Long time. My single frustration is selecting the basic gradients,foreground color to background color foreground color to transparent transparent to background colorCurrently, I have to click the gradient, then reopen the “basic gradients” folder. I wish these 3 options, or even the first two were shown as default options in the tool bar. Having to open the folder adds more clicks when most everything else I do I know the key commands for. It is so rare I look for some fancier gradient from the libraries. There are a few awesome ones like spectrum that save a lot of time customizing. I use the basic gradients all day. 

can anyone tell me if there is a way to get open tabs in photoshop to simply resisze themselves (the same way that open tabs in a browser do) so that they all fit visibly on the screen? or at least you should be able to just swipe easily left and right on the track pad to move them over to see what is off the screen instead of messing with that tiny little arrow thing to pull up the little dropdown list. this screenshot below shows what i'm talking about, the tabs indicating each open image don't resize when others are opened so they are never all visible at once, which would make them so much easier to manage.  it would necesarrily append the text/title of each tab, but browsers have already normalized this, you can just hover the cursor over the tab and it will tell you what is beneath, but you can't do that when the tab is no longer even physically on the screen as is the case currently.  maybe there is already a way to turn on this behavior, but if not it would

Subscription services are gutting most of us. This year’s renewal will cost the entire profit of one of my two freelance jobs this year. Although new tools and features are nice, I can get by on older versions of the software for a while until I can afford the new version. Maybe once my work really takes off and this is a full time job, a subscription can be baked into the overhead. 

I’ve just purchased a small Cintiq 16 and I’ve noticed that on my Mac I am loosing quite a bit of vertical space to an unnecessary bar of information. The PS application name is duplicated here along with the Mac traffic light system window buttons. I have attached a visual of what I propose, which in my opinion is far more focussed. I would be most grateful if the Photoshop development team (wider team) could look at this as either an update or an alternative Screen Mode.  

EVERY tool that uses brushes should get the "right click" quick/hover menu like the original "brush tool". This would definitely speed up workflows and optimize UX!Current state: In order to e.g. change brush size, you have to, depending on the tool, use different ways to select and edit size, feather etc. And lots of these only work in the menu bar. This is not only annoying but tedious to use.Instead every tool should have a similar quick/hover menu when right clicking the canvas like the brush tool does. Of course it needs to be tool agnostic to adapt and only show whatever changes are possible for brushes with the active tool. So it always shows size, but depending on the tool also tip shape, feather, all or only certain presets. etc.And why stop there? Add transparency, flow, etc to the quick menu as well. Even if these are only toggleable extensions so the menu can be as wide or long as the user likes,
