After updating 24.5, the Adjustments panel automatically changed to a new mode after restartup. For me, these functions are not useful,I want to switch back to the legacy style. How to do it? ---update---Since there is no restoration option until 24.6, I found someone on the Internet who shared the manual restoration method. If you want to restore and never want to use the new adjustments panel again, just delete or move this folder to other place :Adobe Photoshop 2023\Required\UXP\com.adobe.photoshop.adjustments-panelI do not understand such a simple thing, why the development team refused to provide.
In CameraRAW (and LightRoom) add an option to allow the user to specify where DNG files are stored. Currently behavior seems to always store new DNG files in the same folder as the file(s) being processed. Ideally it would the user should have an option to specify where to store the DNG files. Default = Current Working Folder alongside original files.Optional = Specified Folder.Being able to specify where the DNG file is saved would have the following advantages. 1. DNG files saved and processed on faster but smaller m.2 SSD drives. 2. Make management of resulting DNG files easier. Ideally you only need them up until they are saved as a PSD, TIFF or JPEG file. 3. Simplify and speed up batch enhancement and processing of multiple files such as panoramas. Example: In my current work flow I store my images on a much larger, but slower USB or internal hard drive. My system has smaller but much faster
Hello, Maybe it would be worth adding some kind of generative credits counter in Photoshop/Illustrator? Somewhere in top right corner? Now, to check the credits amount, I have to visit my Adobe account and click the Avatar image…
Iam very glad to share my opinion to team adobe.Mostly we are working with our Native languages, and it has a software named as Anu Script Manager it works in Old Photoshop Versions Upto Photoshop 8.0 Non Unicode Fonts. While Coming to New Versions it was not working Can you Add the Feature for Non Unicode Fonts Also.Thanking you.
Having a category or section to create layer effects, such as broken glass. Or paint brush effect, a light mist. Photoshop works best when using multiple effects and layers, so it would be cool if generative fill could create an effect as a layer, rather than being one subject. More examples; texture glass, spot light, crumpled paper, ripped paper, broken glass, dust particles, sunrays. etc. I know all of these are easy to find on the web, but would be cool if you could do it just within the app and have more control of them. Just a thought.
I type in 'Remove' when I wish to delete items to achieve best results.Maybe a 'Remove' button could be a typing time saver. Not sure is others have a similar workflow?
I cannot find a set of options in properties panel or options bar that allows me to align anchor points, like we arrange objects and shapes. Illustrator has this flexibility. Also when I add new points in a vector shape object, the default is set to bezier with dual handles. Can it be set to corner as default?
In-Built GPT in Adobe Suite:Train a GPT on Adobe's vast number of tutorials, help articles, community posts, and have it in built into various Adobe programs. Instead of having to leave the app and go to Google to find a solution, have it directly within the Adobe apps. This would give the user to have an immediate back and forth conversation to troubleshoot issues or learn new techniques, rather than having to leave the app and wait for responses on the community forum.Functionality:In-App Troubleshooting: Users can ask the GPT questions related to troubleshooting, learning new techniques, or finding specific features.Integration with Specific Tools: Directs users to relevant sections or features within Adobe apps based on their queries.Script Writing in After Effects: GPT can generate expressions and scripts for tasks like creating handheld effects in After Effects.Follow-up Questions: Users can ask follow-up questions to the GPT for further clarification or refinement of the generat
AI Auto-Composite Feature in Photoshop:Functionality:Drag and Drop Composite: This feature would allow users to seamlessly integrate subjects into a scene.AI Adjustments: The AI would analyze lighting, color, blur, shadows, etc., and apply adjustments to match the new subject with the scene.Editable Layers and Effects: The adjustments made by the AI would be applied as editable layers and effects for further retouching.Follow-up Questions: Users can ask follow-up questions to the AI for more specific adjustments or refinements.Benefits:Time-Saving: Streamlines the compositing process, saving users time.User Control: Retains the flexibility for users to fine-tune the adjustments made by the AI.Interactive Feedback: Allows users to have an ongoing conversation with the AI for precise adjustments.
I have been using Photoshop since CS 2 days and it's been a long journey. The software is advanced in many areas and now has more flexibility but the more it's getting advance the more sluggish it has become.MY PC specs are Xeon 8 core, 16 threads, 64 gigs DDR4, RTX 3060 12gigs video memory gpu, Samsung EVO plus NVME storage. But still the software struggles to work in real-time and is a bit slow and less responsive. My system drivers are up to date, I'm using windows 11 lite edition which is faster than full features OS. Unlike Affinity Products which are quite butter smooth and faster in work around, Photoshop feels outdated in terms of performance. Any process taking 0.5 - 1 sec of time to even execute. The task should be working in nanosends, a quick and smooth experience. Even when I zoom in or out I can feel the delay. It's like playing 60 fps video game on 144hz screen. The whole framework of adobe photoshop should be change, and bring in more sta
Bridge > Filter > File Type does not find PSDs in sub-folders; it only finds PSDs in the selected folder. This is a useless search that adds zero value for users; I can find this faster simply by opening the folder. Think of the use case through the following scenario. It's dinner time and you're looking for your kids who are somewhere in the neighbourhood. If you search for them with a drone unit, you can find them if they are playing outside. But if they are inside their friends' homes playing video games, this search is useless. What you really need is to be able to find your kids whether they're outside all the homes (parent folder results) or both outside and inside neighbours' homes (parent and child folders). This is the same as the use case search scenario most of us have most of the time when we search Bridge: "Where the heck did I save PSD x or PSD y?" Therefore, please set the Bridge > Filter > File Type search function to display all PSD files that exi
Please, PLEASE give us a way to download colors IN BULK from our CC libraries into our LOCAL swatches panels! I have a numbr of color groups in my libary, and downloading them all one at a time, with a multi-step process for each, and then having to reoganize them into their oiginal groups is a ridiculous waste of time an effort. Please just let me drag and drop groups, or just bunches, my local swatches panel, OR let me export them in larger numbers as swatch files I can then easily import as needed and store locally., I am frequently unable to connect to the internet, so I keep copies of ALL my presets on an external drive to be loaded as needed. I would love for it to be easier to keep my colors and swatches etc up to date between my library and my local drive.
In the 1980s I saw a news documentary on TV that in America they had developed a technology to convert old Black & White movies into colour using computers. With computer technology, American studios had devised a way of adding colour to the old B&W films by digitally tinting single objects in each frame of the film until it was fully colourized; although Photoshop was not even known at that time, this technique was a kind of photoshopping every frame of the old black & white movies individually frame by frame. But this program was abandoned by the same American studios because at that time, in the 1980s, it cost US$ 3000.00 per celluloid frame to do it. But I am sure in today's digital world it can be done much cheaper. All I want to ask Adobe is, isn't there a way to use Artificial Intelligence in Photoshop and LightRoom to change all the similar black and white frames in a scene of a film to colour in one go rather than doing it frame by frame individually? If there is no
I do a lot of image repairs on photos the authors send us for inclusion in the books we design for them.I find I use it more now than the clone tool for removing elements large and small. One example is a cast group photo taken in a back room of a theater or school. The metal doors in the background wall have their hydraulic door closers visible. And I used the Remove tool to remove the closers and seamlessly continue the seam between door an jamb. I also find the tool to be more efficient in removing the myriad dust spots and scratches. It's really fantastic!
When using Blend If in Photoshop, is it possible for Adobe to create a mask (to be able to use on the spot) in between this layer and underlying layer. This would be the greatest change to photoshop in decades, and would help creative people more than ever, come up with newer approaches to their visual work! Why didn't Adobe think of doing something as simple as that. The layer masking could also be in the Blend If Panel too! Make this happen please.
A Pie Menu (Radial Menu) would be very efficient and useful in Photoshop. It has already proven very useful in Autodesk Alias, or Blender, for example. Once set up, you can access function extremely fast, usually you don't even have to take the time to read the menu, you just go with muscle memory. You could assign so many functions to it: Brushes, Custom Actions, New Layer, Undo, layer modes etc. It would also work very nicely with a graphic tablet and its penAn example is attached
In Camera Raw, it would be nice to be able to prioritize the filters, put them in the order that we use them the most. So, if I use the geometry filter often, I could move it closer to the top along with the others I use most often.
I had this super cool soft on my mac mini which I lost few years ago and I miss it a lot. https://www.fxguide.com/fxfeatured/tandent-lightbrush-engineering-an-image/. The company seems disappeared in thin air like a ghost and the soft is no more available. Please Adobe do something like this . I don't need "regenrator". I need to remove shadows at all or rather split the shadows as a layer .
Or maybe a non destructive layer filter that coul do the structure and color adaptation to what beneath it like what content aware move tool does. I miss a lot an ability to match image structures properly when use "CA move" tool. And please add flip option too.
Add fractal designs to Parametric Filters in PS
Hi all, My team and I have a significant adjustment we'd like to see in Photoshop, InDesign, etc. We would like the line spacing to be automatically adjusted when the font size is increased. For example, a checkbox could be added (see screenshots). We've encountered situations where this would have been useful several times, and we believe we're not alone in this need. It would be really great if this could be implemented. Many thanks and best regardsAdrian
Hi, I've seen this mentioned a couple times but haven't seen any actual discussion around it. Procreate has an amazing feature where you can hold the stylus down after drawing a freehand stroke, and it will automatically straighten the stroke from its starting point. You can then reposition the endpoint however you want, stretching the entire stroke in realtime until you let go. I think this would be an incredible addition to PS's drawing/painting toolset - I find it way easier to use in almost every scenario than the click-and-shift-click to draw a line between two points. Reasons: - Procreate's tool allows you to straighten an actual stroke, including whatever pressure dynamics you may have applied along it. As far as I know, Photoshop's approach will interpolate between the stylus pressure of the starting and ending points, but doesn't really give you any active control over the stroke in between them. It's also extremely hard to get consistent/predictable results this way, a
Just an idea in case anyone is watching. I use dropshadows in layer styles all the time. I mock up artwork on walls a lot and use dropshadows on the frames. I get quite close to real looking shadows by using upwards of five dropshadows per frame/object, but with a few improvements the dropshadow effect could be much better.A 'length parameter' could be added. This would act differently to distance, in that rather than simply positioning the layer shape further away, it would give an angled stretch in the appropriate direction, (as if you duplicated and moved the object incrementally many many times like an illustrator blend). It is effectively the same as if you were to add an angle option to the spread parameter. When objects touch walls/floors the shadow starts at the point of contact and stretches away and this is not possible to do with the current dropshadow. The second thing I'd like to see is a very simple deform function, much like the warp mesh in layer transform, so that the s
As a 3D modeler, my work pipeline includes a lot of work on normal maps, and some of them are created from height maps which I compose in Photoshop. In the past, there used to be an Nvidia plug-in that could convert a layer to a normal map.Since then three things have happened:1. The Nvidia plugin no longer works on more recent (after 2018 or so) versions of photoshop2. An internal Normal map flter was introduced but as you increase the normal map's "depth" it tends to add unwanted distortion in the normal maps I create - adding haloes around hard edges to "smooth them out", possibly. It also contains some contrast controls that I haven't been able to find documentation for and seem to do nothing.3. These tools are about to be retired soon (or so adobe has been saying for some time now) Soon it seems I'll be left with no way to use normal maps inside photoshop and every time I want to create one I'll need to use some external tool.So I had an idea - would it be possible for Adobe t
Way too many fonts in the fonts menu. Please add a way to filter out or hide system fonts so that they aren't visible. Using Favorites is not an efficient solution when bouncing between different clients all day every day. This would be valuable in Ai and InDesign as well.
