I’m a professional designer who regularly creates large-format artwork for commercial print. Until Photoshop 27.9, I was able to save my large PSB files as Photoshop PDFs, including documents exceeding 30,000 pixels in one dimension. This was not an occasional use case. It became part of my regular production workflow. My completed artwork could be maintained as a PSB and supplied to my commercial printer as a PDF, which is the delivery format they require.Since updating Photoshop, the Photoshop PDF option is no longer available for these documents. I have also tested the newly released Photoshop 27.10, and the restriction remains. I confirmed the change using existing PSB files that I had previously saved successfully as PDFs. The files have not changed. The available output options in Photoshop have.I understand from Adobe’s responses that the ability to save these documents as PDFs was the result of a previous change in Photoshop that was not originally intended. However, that behavi
This needs a little context, I apologise in advance. I've been using Photoshop without issue since I upgraded my PC in February, but about 2 weeks ago, Creative Cloud changed my default install location from my D: drive to my C: drive, and when I went to launch the program, it re-installed Photoshop on my C: drive instead, wiping everything I had on my D: drive (brushes, presets, plugins, preferences, etc). There was no option to restore what had been overwritten, so I uninstalled from my C: drive and reinstalled it back to my D: drive.Ever since, I have been having HORRIBLE stuttering/freezing/lagging, particularly when I zoom in/out or while I'm painting with a brush. I've never had this happen before, even before I upgraded my PC. As this is a fresh install, I have no idea what could be causing this? I do notice in scratch disks, it still lists the C: drive as the startup drive. Could this be contributing to the issue?PC specs: Windows 11, 32GB RAM (sits at ~70% usage with all my pr

Turning off foreign fonts in Adobe on Mac Tahoe. I currently use the font manager Font Agent (FA) to select the fonts that I want to use for a project. I scroll through my fonts that I have carefully categorized so that I’m able to just activate the fonts I need. This makes my workflow quick and prevents my apps from lagging. I have been frustrated with seeing my font list include a ton of foreign fonts in my font menu, especially when I have no use for them. I recently discovered that Adobe does have a way to turn off foreign fonts within Photoshop but it only turns them off from my entire font library and not just the fonts that I use frequently that were activated in FA. That means that Adobe is loading my entire font library every time I open it. When I click on the font selection field, a list of fonts appears. The default is a list called "Your Fonts" these are fonts that have been activated by FA. But included in that list are all the foreign fonts that I never activated anywher
On my work machine, the PS 2026 won't upscale using any of the three models avaialbe. They all produce a new file at the size chosen with the "Original" as the bottom layer, and the layer above that is supposed to be the upscaled version is just a black layer with a layer mask. The actual image is just a flat black color. When I try this on my personal version at home, it works as intended. What gives?
I am having a problem with photoshop not exporting or save large images to pdf. This is a huge problem for anyone who is using photoshop for large format printing. The RIP software works with pdf files. Is there a work around for this.It is critical for anyone in the large format printing industry.
I understand from a very reliable source that CS6 and Lightroom 4 will be the last photoshop software that will be available to actually purchase and own. In other words...You will not be able to purchase the software either on a disc or download that is yours to use indefinitely once you purchase the product. It will only be available via the cloud and everyone will be required to pay monthly license fee to use the product. This will allow all upgrades as long as you pay the fee...but if you cease to pay the fee, the software will be deactivated. If this is the case...and I believe it is...THIS SUCKS! I have been Adobe user since I purchase the CS2 Creative Suite and used lightroom since it's inception. I have not purchase every upgrade, but have done so when I felt the changes warranted an upgrade. If Adobe insists on this business model, I will probably use one of the other photo editing product available on the market. There are several that will do most everything Adobe's software
Are there any suggestions/solutions for those of us who wish to disable or block AI tools like Firefly or the generative AI within Photoshop? I understand I don't actually have to use tools I do not wish to use within Adobe programs, but I think it would also be nice for some of us with strong ethical opposition to generative AI to have an option for it to not consistently pop up in our feeds or have our work training AI models without permission (hence why I disabled the content analysis option for my account). The previous version of Photoshop crashed, so I restarted my Mac and reinstalled Photoshop; after that, all my personal settings were gone; how can I restore them?
I am having trouble getting my Photoshop desktop app to work. It was working before last night but starting last night I cannot get it to stay open. It will start to open but then it will close again. I have tried all the usual work arounds and talked to tech support, who said to call today if it wasn't working and so here I am.
I’m setting up a Photoshop layered file with a bulleted list. It will be easier for the other users if the text has the bulleted list style automatically applied, so I used the bullet style in the Paragraph panel. But is there any way to change the bullet color? Right now it’s the same color as the text, and I would like there to be a contrast.Drawing the shapes manually is not the best solution for a template that various people will have to use. Is there a hidden option somewhere that would allow me to change the color, as in InDesign?
I never had this issue until recently, I’d say 2026?The pictures look fine when i finish the edits in Lightroom/ Photoshop but when myself or the client go to print the pictures, they look off or yellowish. even when i post them on Facebook they have this yellow tint.I dont ever remember having to make changes on every picture that i chose to print (or post on social media). the picture with the red backround is the one that looks yellowish/ off color as you can seeMacbook Pro (M1)Photoshop Lightroom Canon R5
After moving the zero point to a different place, Photoshop continues to create a New Guide as if the zero point had not changed. Why?
Hello! I’m trying to remove or lessen the glare on this photo and no matter how many tutorials I watch an issue always seems to arise if anyone has any recommendations for me? Thank you!
I create images for website articles and social media posts and would like some advice from experienced Photoshop users. What canvas size, resolution, color mode, and export settings do you recommend for images that need to look good on both desktop and mobile devices?
Can someone with actual technical knowledge of Photoshop explain what has changed internally with Artboards in recent versions?I am not looking for generic troubleshooting steps. I am trying to understand the technical reason behind what appears to be a significant performance regression in Photoshop's Artboard implementation. The problemIn Photoshop Beta and recent Photoshop releases, basic Artboard operations are extremely slow. Creating a new Artboard can freeze the entire Photoshop UI for several seconds. Deleting an Artboard can freeze Photoshop for several seconds. Duplicating or reorganizing Artboards can introduce noticeable delays. As the document becomes more complex, Artboard-related operations seem to become progressively slower. During these pauses, Photoshop is effectively unresponsive. This does not feel like normal rendering latency — it feels like Photoshop is performing some synchronous document-wide operation every time the Artboard structure changes. Why did thi
The bounding box of the transform tool is in the wrong location and not properly scaled when used on warped text. It does snap back to correct scale and location when a corner of it is selected but reverts once the transform is deselected again.Photoshop version is 27.5Off center and wrong scale bounding box on warped text
When launching Photoshop the following error appears on screen:“could not apply the saved panel configuration, resetting to default”After the application starts up, workspace can be restored back to the saved preferred layout and everything function correctly. This started with 27.1 and has continued in to 27.3There was also already a thread on here where Adobe said it was being looked in to and myself and others had submitted error logs to show where it appeared to flagging the error. After the community change here, that previous bug report has disappeared from the link resolving there or finding it via search so adding a new till it gets addressed.
After the latest updates Photoshop is not correctly displaying the brightness values of images in the main window. Depending on the monitor, the image either appears underexposed or overexposed. This is not an issue with my monitor set up as when moving the Photoshop window across monitors the values display correctly, but when I release the mouse drag, the colour values change. This is also only in the main window. The navigator and file preview images display the image at its true values. Both monitors have been colour calibrated. I have tested this on various files including flattened jpegs.Running PS v27.10 on Win 11 off an AMD GPU with up to date drivers.Screenshots below showing preview issues on one of my monitors. Note how the navigator pane still displays image accurately. Windows snippet tool does not capture the underexposure issue on the other monitor and actually fixes the underexposed colours on output.
Let me be absolutely clear. I have ZERO interest in using generative AI tools in Photoshop or anywhere else. And yet, every time I open Photoshop I am assaulted with pop up windows trying to get me to use these tools that I do not want. The features and buttons are displayed prominently in many different windows, it is virtually impossible to ignore or avoid. It creates a very negative user experience having these things shoved down my throat all the time. Going forward, Adobe should give users a simple checkbox option to indicate whether we want these tools or not. For those who don't, they should be disabled completely. No pop ups, no reminders, no prompts, nothing. I like to use Photoshop to jump back and forth between my Mac desktop and iPad. Despite some bugs and issues, the experience has mostly been good until AI started taking over. I don't want to switch, but at this point, I am already considering alternatives. Please take note of this user feedback and take it seriously. I c
When using the ruler in inches in Photoshop Web, there are five section to an inch (Attachment 1), as opposed to the inch ruler in the Photoshop desktop, which accurately depicts an inch with four sections (Attachment 2). Also, notice the size of the ruler marks in both version. As a high school photography teacher, im certian this inconistancy will confuse students and make simple measurement or readings uneccesarily difficult and push students away form using the web version of Photoshop. I'm recommending the inch ruler in Photoshop Web be corrected to resemble the inch ruler in the Phjotoshop desktop app. This is neccessary fix that can easy be corrected and released in a future update.
How to get all postScriptName of photoshop api v2?
There are almost daily instances where I need to join two 'open ended' paths in Photoshop, but I need to do it without physically 'drawing' a line segment between the two open anchor points with the pen tool.In other words, I need to join them as I would in Adobe Illustrator, which is to move the open path so that an open 'anchor point' is atop another open path anchor point.... and then simply merge the two points into one.I have been 'dummy-ing' it along for years, drawing between the points; although that is almost never the best solution in my mind....Can Photoshop merge two open ended 'anchor points' together like Illustrator?EXAMPLE: Say I have a vector path in the shape of a half circle, containing 3 anchor points - open on the right, and the half circle facing the left. Then, I have a second 'open path' object which is a half circle, containing 3 anchor points - open on the LEFT and the half circle path facing the RIGHT. I move them both together so that the upper a
I am working with scans of black and white images with black and white profiles (like Gray gamma 2.2.). Since a few days the images started to show horrible gradient noise in the darker areas. When I convert them into Srgb the problem disappear, but I need to use the b/w profiles. I have been working for many years in this way without any problems. Suddenly this problem appeared and I don’t have a clue what has changed. I attached a detail of one of the images. The problem is visible in many areas of the images also at 50% magnification or less . Thank you for your help.
Hi everyone,I'm experiencing a very specific issue with Photoshop Generative Fill (Firefly Image 5). It constantly throws the error "The service is not responding" whenever I try to use it.This issue started immediately after my Wi-Fi was repaired.Important Detail / Behavior: Whenever I perform any troubleshooting step (like flushing DNS or signing out/in), Generative Fill will work ONCE for the very first prompt, but on the second attempt, it fails again with "The service is not responding".Here is what I have already tried so far: Flushed DNS cache (ipconfig /flushdns) Signed out and signed back in via Creative Cloud Desktop App Checked and temporarily disabled Firewall/Antivirus Ensured Photoshop and Creative Cloud Desktop are fully updated Inspected the hosts file to ensure no Adobe endpoints are blocked Switched to Google Public DNS (8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4) It seems like the initial handshake/token validation succeeds, but subsequent requests or response streams get dropped o
