Photoshop

Hi Forum! 🙂There's a shortcut in Photoshop, that with the brush tool pressing a number sets it's opacity, and with Shift+Number pressed it changes the the Flow. That's great I use this in my workflow all the time.However, pressing Alt+Number changes the smoothing. And while painting I constatnly press Alt to sample colors and numbers to change opacity. This feature ruins my workflow and I always accidently jump to 100% smoothing and so 😞

I guess Im requesting a "Node" layer, in which you can place one or a group of effects. Then, similar to the new track matte layer selector, select a Node layer to apply the contained effects.   Theoretically you could have a slider that "fades/blends" the Node layer effects with the original.  And you could apply multiple Node layer effects to a single layer and change the stacking order of the nodes.  Unlike an adjustment layer, you can choose which layers will have the effects regardless of heirarchy. You wont have to copy and paste effects to multiple layers.Using the transform effect it might simplify the need for expressions where parenting doesn't work.  

Toggle alpha like we can in AE - instead of going into Pref settings!!! This has been an ask for so long!!!!

There should be an option that will either set guides to be locked by default OR when we save a file, if the guides are locked. it also saves that data so when i re-open the file I dont have to lock them again. its a mino inconvenience, but it would be nice

When using the transform tool, my layer effects should also scale proportionally. I'm super frustrated with how I am forced to manually scale all my layer effects after rescaling the size of an object/layer. This is a very inefficient way to work. Where's my preference option similar to scaling strokes and effects in Illustrator? 

Would be a superb add on, to  add a close icon to each recent file listed, so we can delete from the list whats no longer needed, and keep back to the usual works we always work on. I believe this is would be great. Wish this could be monetized, but lets keep on the share and be happy.....even if you are almost done

Please can Adobe look at a way for us to remove metadata when saving CMYK files - maybe a check box / uncheck box on 'Save' or 'Save As'? I know there is an option to do this in 'Export As' but I'd like to be able to do it directly from the main menu when editing files. More and more frequently I am being sent assets from clients that contain huge amounts of raw data and it is creating huge problems when exporting to PDF once those files have been placed in Illustrator or InDesign. The PDFs are sometimes 300%-600% larger than they should be. I understand there are workarounds, which I have been able to find and use in my workflow, but surely it would be far easier if we could do this from within the tools without resorting to 'workarounds'? It seems like I am fudging things just to make processes more efficient and reduce my file sizes for printers.

Please allow to work with just local files on iPad without creating a cloud document.I want to be able to open a JPEG/PSD/etc file from local file storage, edit it and save it back to same JPEG/PSD/etc on my local file system with a normal Save button. Just as I would do on desktop.You don't always have internet and you don't always want to sync your work to the cloud. Sometimes you want to just retouch skin on 200+ photos on you iPad while sitting on the couch. ps this whole iPad photoshop experience is more optimised towards drawing/design and working on single large files. Please also think about retouchers/photographers who need to work with 100+ files per day.

why for so many years, in ACR in the "mask" mode, a block with a HSL regulator has not been added ???this is the most necessary and useful block for working with color. you've added AI masking, that's good... but there has to be an HSL block from the start!!!please add it as soon as possible. I've been waiting for this addition for many years, and I can't understand why it's still ignored, it's very very useful and will save a lot of time. if we can do HSL in mask IMMEDIATELY in ACR it will save a lot of time...

I have been using the Applied Sience Fiction (ASF) - Kodak Digital ROC filter a lot in the past. So far I did not find a comparable filter. There are scan programs that try to solve the problem, but they only work while you scan. So you can not use them on an existing file. And most of the time they are inferior to the AFS-Kodak algorithm. This is strange considering how old Digital ROC is. I know you have a coloring app but that is not the same, you do not retrieve the original colors. Digital ROC does this most of the time in a remarkable way. Kodak stopped all sales & support.

Hello, I use Photoshop mainly for real estate photography. One of the biggest things I need to do is "window pull", to gove a clear view of the outside. On desktop, I simply select the are with the Pen Tool. I would love to do that on iPad though. I tried all the available selection tools, but I'm unable to select the area I need selected. Is it because I lack the skill, or is it simply not possible? In the Feature Request, there are 562 votes for the Pen Tool (the forth most requested feature), but Adobe is simply ignoring it...? I need to select the window/window frame. If you could point me to the right direction, I would really appreciate it. Thank you so much! Daniel

Hello - the UI displays a "drop shadow" (Gaussian blur shadow) around every open document (or group of documents) floating on the artboard. There should be an option to turn this "floating window" drop shadow off, or to lessen its size/boldness. Is it too hard to implement as a setting? For example, floating tool windows drop shadows are much less prominent. Thank you for your consideration.

When using the Curves tool in Photoshop, it would be great to have the Region sliders (Highlights, Lights, Dark, & Shadow) that are available in Lightroom. I would also like the Regions sliders in Lightroom Masking too. WhyI prefer using the sliders instead of adding points to the curve line.It helps me apply consistent edits among images and when editing in both Lightroom and Photoshop.The sliders are easier for me to understand and use than the curve line. Lightroom Photoshop  

I would love to have more advanced settings in the sky replacement function in Photoshop, like selecting the part where you want to replace your sky at, often the tool doesn`t recognize the sky and it would be great if you could help selecting it or better said define what the sky is. Another feature for this tool I wish that you could redirect the perspectives of the sky to give it even more a realistic feel to it. Closing the gaps to the edges and also have a kind of a dehaze function. This would save a lot of time and you would have more control when it comes to sky swaps. At the moment I still use Color Select tool and masks to do my sky replacements because the sky replacement feature has to many limits yet to achive the most realistic feel. I think it would not be a huge effort to make this happen. Please make it happen!

Maybe there should be an option to easily remove downloaded neural filters, like a trash can button or a right-click menu option. Some of those filters are rather large for someone with limited storage.

Please give the option to change that horrific, vomit-inducing picture on the opening screen of Photoshop. The picture of the woman in bright, obnoxious colors hurts my eyes physically and sours my mood before I try to get work done.

Hello! I work a lot with photos and have been waiting for a hotkey function like in Illustrator (ctrl+shift+P) for a long time. At the moment, this keyboard shortcut is free in Adobe Photoshop, so I will send you as a suggestion to use it for place embedded. Thanks!

Watching a video from Photoshop Cafe on the new features in LR, Colin Smith demonstrates the option of picking the version of Photoshop (2023 vrs Beta) to edit in. He is using Mac. I am using Windows and the dropdown arrow only gives me version 2023. I can put the Beta version in the additional editor position but that takes away space for another program.
