This is using a fairly new Mac M5 Max laptop with Lightroom Classic and Photoshop installed. Everything was “normal” as of a month ago (I normally work on images in Classic, then Edit in Photoshop to print, and I’d done some prints on this system, with the latest Tahoe and Adobe software, at that point). This week, I went to make more prints, and now: Edit in Photoshop, from Classic, is “broken”: the image in Photoshop is lighter and desaturated. No way around this from the Lightroom side: any attempt at changing settings; or bypassing the direct Edit In step by saving to a JPG or TIFF; produces the same results. (I’m a color management expert, this isn’t “user error” by a novice).Next step was to try on a different system. I have a Mac M4 Max laptop that’s running the latest version of Sequoia - not updated to Tahoe - with the same current version of Photoshop and Lightroom Classic installed. Moved my external drive (images and catalog) to that system, tried it: everything works fine,
Since updating to 27.5 yesterday I’m encountering a bug where when I switch between channels of a Curves adjustment layer the active point is deselected. This breaks flow and slows down the process of getting the color right, which for me typically involves bouncing back and forth between 2 or all 3 color channels (working in RGB) and making one or two point adjustments with the arrow keys. To reproduce:Make a new Curves layer Add a point somewhere in the middle of each of the R, G, and B channels. Press Opt + 3, 4, or 5 to switch between the channels. Prior behavior: you would still have selected and active the same, nth point on the curve. So, if you were on the Red channel and had tweaked a point in the middle, then switched to Blue which you hadn’t touched yet, you’d have the 255,255 point active since it was the second point on the curve. Once all three channels had a point though, switching between them would keep the midpoint selected for tweaking with the arrow keys. Current
This happens when I highlight a section of text, go to Character, type a font name, and press Return (Enter). The text block then turns completely grey, and I have to find a way to turn it off. Sometimes it even gets stuck on the screen when I minimize Photoshop.I just bought a new Mac Air M5 expecting a better experience than my old Windows laptop, but then I ran into this bug. Does anyone know why this happens and how to fix it? It's really ruining my experience on Mac.I’m using Photoshop version 27.9.1If I don't search for fonts and just select them manually, it doesn't happen.Someone literally told me to '"just quit the habit of searching for fonts." and I was like, 'WTF is that?" I shouldn't have to change my entire workflow just because of a bug.
The tab to click on and change the properties for an adjustment layer randomly disappears. Quitting and re-opening the app solves the issue, but it will happen again within minutes, usually when switching between different projects or different app on the computer. On Photoshop v26.6 - Mac Mini M4 pro, 32gb ram, 1tb ssd. Any help would be appreciated! ss
I am experiencing a reproducible problem with Find Distractions → General Distractions in Photoshop.Find People and Remove Wires work normally. However, when I select General Distractions, Photoshop starts processing and then suddenly quits in the middle of the process. There is no useful error message before Photoshop closes. The issue appears to be limited specifically to General Distractions.I have the latest version of Photoshop installed and I am also using the latest NVIDIA drivers.Has anyone else experienced this? I would also appreciate it if Adobe could confirm whether this is a known issue.Below are Photoshop System Infos , and GPU and driver details. *******Adobe Photoshop Version: 27.9.1 20260803.r.1 65900e1 x64 (final, Release)Number of Launches: 516Operating System: Windows 11 64-bitVersion: 11 or greater 10.0.26200.9168System architecture: Intel CPU Family:6, Model:7, Stepping:1, AVX2, AVX-VNNI, HybridCPU(8:16), HyperThreadingPhysical processor count: 24Logical processor

Windows 11 64 but, 128 Gb RAMWhen invoking Photoshop 27.9.1 from Lightroom Classic 15.5, Photoshop hangs after “Initializing tools” and never recovers. Have to have Photosop running before invoking it from LR and then things run as they should. This is new - probably came with the latest release as it I used it not long ago calling PS from LR “Open as Layers".The workaround is to have PS running before trying to call it from LR but this bug should be fixed. thanks and regards André
Hello,The title said it all.Steps to reproduce:1. make a document with Grayscale color mode (or convert it via Image>Mode>Grayscale)2. Add a Levels adjustment layer.3. record an action of you changing the sliders on the Levels adjustment layer.4. change those values first, then try playing the action.5. Result: it does nothing! (but such an action works on an RGB Document for example).Besides that, RGB documents, for instance, allow the creation of a Levels adjustment layer with given values in a single executeaction step. that doesn’t work on Grayscale documents.
Hello Adobe team,I am reporting an issue with Photoshop 27.7 on Windows 11 where the new Remove Tool on-device generative AI model cannot be enabled on an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080.The “Device” option remains greyed out, even though all documented requirements appear to be met.SYSTEM SUMMARYPhotoshop version: Adobe Photoshop 2026 / 27.7Operating system: Windows 11GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080VRAM: approximately 16 GBDirectX: DirectX 12 / DirectX 12.2 availableNVIDIA driver: current and newer than Adobe’s stated minimum requirementPhotoshop GPU acceleration: enabledPhotoshop GPU status: GPU is detected and allowedAvailable disk space: sufficientThe GPU is usable for normal Photoshop GPU acceleration. The important detail is that Photoshop appears to detect and use the RTX 5080 for general GPU acceleration, but in the system information / GPU identification path the card is shown as:NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 UNKNOWNThis strongly suggests that the issue is not general GPU acceleration, but the
Operation was cancelled. Could not download "book.psdc" because of an unexpected error. Please try again. i am getting this error. in photoshop online but i want that file. its urgent.
Simply went to open Photoshop. Intro screen came up and little blue wheel was spinning but then it just stopped, no messages, etc. Went through various potential solutions on Adobe and on the internet. Nothing worked. Finally uninstalled and reinstalled through Creative Cloud. Had put it in “Run as Administrator” in trying to solve the problem. Changed that and Photoshop ran once. When attempting to reopen it again, it would not run. Lightroom works. The Beta version of PS works.

Hi everyone, I would like to report this explicitly as a bug report, and I kindly ask that it not be converted into a question. The behavior is reproducible in my setup and, from my point of view, affects WinTab support in Photoshop 27.6. After updating to Photoshop 27.6, WinTab still no longer works reliably. I need WinTab because pen input is much smoother and more precise with it, especially when working with sliders, numeric input fields, and Photoshop UI controls in general. Reproducible behavior With WinTab enabled, Photoshop 27.6 freezes as soon as I move the brush size slider. Important detail:The freeze happens even when I move the slider with the mouse, not with the Wacom pen.To me, this strongly suggests that this is not simply a Wacom pen issue, but a problem in Photoshop’s WinTab handling itself. Test results in Photoshop 27.6 WinTab enabledopened a new test document selected the Brush tool moved the brush size slider using only the mouse Photoshop freezes immediately afte
Hi,for a while now (probably since dynamic filter were introduced), this issue has been bothering me, dynamic filters mask only follow the position and not the resize, they are not linked like a classic fusion mask : - Create a Smart Object and apply a filter to it (ex gaussian blurr).- On the dynamic filter's mask (not the Smart Object fusion mask), paint some black area to hide the blurr effect on the SO (Smart Object).- duplicate the SO and resize it (larger or smaller, doesn't matter). If you look at the dynamic layer mask (you can hold alt and click on the mask to toggle the mask display); you can see the mask has not been resized. I don't understand why there is this limitation when you can resize a SO with a classic mask and the mask will resize accordingly with the SO (or unlink the mask if you want to).Regards,
Hello,I have encountered what appears to be a GPU-related rendering bug when converting RGB images to CMYK in Photoshop.SystemPhotoshop 27.8 macOS Tahoe 26.5.2 Mac Studio M2 Ultra Apple Silicon GPUProblemWhenever GPU acceleration is enabled, converting an RGB image to CMYK produces severe black rendering artifacts across the image. The artifacts appear immediately after the color conversion and make the document unusable. The issue occurs with multiple images and is fully reproducible on my system.Steps to ReproduceOpen an RGB image. Make sure Use Graphics Processor is enabled under Preferences > Performance. Convert the document to CMYK (either Image > Mode > CMYK Color or Edit > Convert to Profile). Large black artifacts appear throughout the image.Expected ResultThe RGB image should convert normally to CMYK without any visual corruption.Actual ResultThe converted image contains large black rendering artifacts that were not present in the original RGB document.WorkaroundDi

Photoshop 27.7, Modern UImacOS Tahoe 26.5.1 After you dismiss Finder’s Save panel (where you can edit the filename and location), the Save for Web dialog won’t respond to ESC or Enter key. Steps to reproduce:Open an image and ⌥⇪⌘+S to open Save for Web Press or click Enter Without actually saving the file, just press ESC or click Cancel to close the Finder SavePanel Hit Enter again. The OS-level dialog should popup again, but it won’t. Hit ESC to close Save for Web, also no response.Workaround: Press Tab once or twice to active and move the keyboard hotzone away from the image preview area. This looks like a minor issue but it’s a pain in the ***.
I have a photoshop document open. When I try to export it — whether that’s “Quick Export as PNG,” or “Export As,” I am met with an error. The text of the error is “Could not complete the Quick Export as PNG command because of a program error (854aee.3153)” and “Could not complete the Export As command because of a program error (854aee.3153)” respectively. This is a very new install. I looked for this issue and found others had it through the years. I have ensured that Photoshop has full disk access. I’ve also tried with and without the graphics processor. It’s pretty crippling to be completely unable to export my work in any usable format. Renders the program completely useless, effectively. As the title says, I'm trying to use the new AI remove tool after removing some people using the Generative Fill tool, as the ai generated grass is usually more accurate when using Remove. This is something I have been doing since the remove tool came out, and it has worked without error until last week. Now, whenever I have used generative fill on an image, and I attempt to use the AI Remove tool, Photoshop says "Could not complete your request because of a program error", regardless of whether my selection includes the area where Generative Fill was used. I get the same result if I rasterise the Gen Fill layer, or if I flatten the image. However, if I undo the Gen Fill, or open a new image without any Gen Fill used on it, the Remove tool will work as it is supposed to. The file type does not seem to matter, as I have tried .dng, .psd, .png and .jpg and got the same results for all. My question is, why might this be happening? Is it deliberate choice by adobe, or an uninte

Tried to use this feature today (worked fin in previous version of PS) and today, after upgrading to ver 27, I get the "We've temporarily disable this feature because of an error" message. Issue summary: After creating a CMYK color swatch, restarting Photoshop will change the color elements.Product and version: Photoshop 27.9.1 It does not occur before 27.8.Operating system: I checked it on macOS 15.7.8.Steps to reproduce: Create a CMYK color swatch. Example: C0 M0 Y0 K100Restart the appExpected result: The color swatch as created is retained.Actual result: It has changed to a color value that has been converted from CMYK to RGB to CMYK.
The system is running an up-to-date version of Windows 10 with the latest Nvidia Studio drivers. The Shadows/Highlights settings dialog has always provided a live preview while moving the sliders, provided the live preview option was enabled. Since the latest update to PS 27.8, however, the live preview no longer appears as soon as a slider is clicked or activated with the mouse. The preview remains hidden for as long as the slider is being moved or remains active; the preview only appears once the slider is released.
