Photoshop (Beta)

The photoshop file I share with team members on the cloud is showing up skewed on their end.

Sharing PSD files especially with co-collaborators is a great idea. Would love to at least be able to be in the deck at the same time. And if not, when it downloads a copy, would love if it could download a copy of a PSD, not a JPG.

I have created many new brushes in PSD during the last decade.  Some worked out, many did not.  A week ago I started experimenting with new  Dual brushes .  Some are usuable. I mainly use CC 2023 and periodically experiment with BETA.  Today I opened BETA.  Created another Dual Brush that I liked.  Then I tried to rename it to something more descriptive. Error message from PSD: "Photoshop cannot locate this brush.  Please sync your brushes." From past experience I know that bad surprises can happen after a sync.  But I did it anyway.  After the sync another message: "Photoshop synced your brushes and deleted 21 brushes."  The new brush that I had just created is now gone.  As for the other 21 I have no idea what brushes were deleted. 2nd problem after the sync:  The 7 new Dual Brushes I created previously are now non functional.  Every dual brush now defaults to whatever brush I was previously using. 

I'm using a Mac with OS Ventura 13.0.1, web browser Chrome Version 108.0.5359.98 (Official Build) (x86_64).I try to use the web version of Photoshop because the desktop version is crashing all the time when processing NEF files.I succed the process of my file but when tring to download it to the computer the application finish the download with a 0 bytes file that, of course, not opens at all.When saving the processed file trough the web application the process of saving takes to much time.

I have version 24.0.1 of Photoshop, and have been watching tutorials on the new and improved Neural Filters. I seem to have all of them except the Backdrop Creator. Is this one only available to certain users? How can I get it too?

When creating a gradient at 45 degrees (left to right), the gradient shoiws breaks between gradient shades, I hope you can see it in the attached screen shot.

After exiting the beta version you can't open regular photoshop or restart the beta version. The Adobe Photoshop 2023 process under Apps while running photoshop is moved to the Bacground Processes and that prevents a launching either version of photoshop until that process is killed using task manager.  

Hi   I installed the PS Beta to look at the new Live gradient. After having a look I decided to uninstall as it seemed to conflict with PS 24 which sometimes did not open.    After I uninstalled the Beta version, via CC Desktop, LRC no longer seems to recognise PS and the edit in PS option is greyed out. I now find that I cannot open the latest version (24) of PS at all.    I'm guessing that uninstalling PS and reinstalling might help but I have so many plugins, actions etc. that I'm worried what will happen to those if I do that.    I've also installed PS 23.5.2 in the hope that would help but that does not open either.   The upshot is that PS Beta has caused so significant problems and I have effectively lost the use of PS.   Hope someone can shed some light on this.   regards

SLider values missing. Don't need help just reporting a bug. Version 24.1.0 Desktop Windows 11 Opened materials properties expected to find numbers and could see them as I scrolled. Numbers stayed stationary while scrolling through menu.

I tried to run a script in Beta that does run in 2023.  Immediately encountered an error message that the command "Select" may not be available in this version.   Did the Scripts function in Beta change?

I am trying to use the content awareness filling option. I am unable to get the full version, so I have to stick with both Photoshop Beta and the Photoshop app on my Ipad. However, the content awareness option refuses to work. The option shows up after you use the lasso tool. I have used Beta both on Edge and Google, both with the same result: the awareness option shows up but cannot be clicked on. It's even worse on the Ipad, as the option can initally be clicked on but refuses to function, and when I try again I can't click on it. I have tried duplicating my work, but the awareness option still doesn't work. Is there something I am missing here?

Good morning, when i close photoshop I get an error in the preferences save file, and all my preferences gone and when i try open psdc file from my cloud it says that it cannot be opened because it is incompatible with this version of photoshop, even though I did it in this photoshop.

The restore a BW neural filter and the colorise filter have both been "temporarily dissabled." This has been on my PC for at least two weeks. Does anyone know if a fix is imminent and if so when, please? Perhaps this is just on my PC and if so can it be fixed?

The file I saved in the cloud documents gives an error when opening. How can I solve it?

I periodically run this action set in CC 2023 with no issues.  Recently installed CC Beta.  No issues experiences with the Beta until I ran the WC action set.  About 80% through the script the action stops on the back fill group while running a filter.  I can reproduce the error every time. The screen shot shows the layer which hangs.  The history on the left shows invert.  After invert the action set tries to run a filter on the Back Fill Group.  But it never finishes.  I even let it run for 10 minutes just to see if this action would complete.  It would not. I then opened CC 2023.  Ran the same file thought the action set.  It runs and finishes.  The problem exists with the beta version. Hopefully someone from Adobe will pass this post onto the engineering group.

I think i can work my way around most programmes, but i find that Adobe is so confusing. Nothing is simple on this site, Its like i need a Uni Degree to figure it out. Anyway, i give up.

HelloI am quite frequently frustrated that I have to open PS 2 times of not 3 times.Task manager tells me NOT RESPONDING. Then I often wait for rather a long time. Occasionally it may respond then, more often not. End task and try again. This does not happen with standard Photoshop. Anything one can do?  

I've been getting "We've temporarilly disabled this filter because of an error" on the photo restoration neural filter. I downloaded Beta a couple of weeks ago, installed 2 upadates since. I try it every day and still get the same error message on the restoration filter. I've tried at least a dozen different images and they all get the same error.  I've attached the message and my machine's details.    

Using "Neural Filters/Transfer Styles" the computer hangs continuously (I have a computer with Intel I7 and Nvidia Geforce GTX 1080 Ti card). The same goes for the "Landscape Mixer" option.

We are excited to share that some new improvements have been introduced to Guides workflows in Photoshop Beta.Guides can now be individually colored and edited, making identification and update of Guides easier. Guide color, both in the New Guide Layout and New Guide dialogs is tied to document rather than global preference across all documents. I found a video tutorial on Beta and decided to try it on Windows 10. The very first filter I tried to find (Live Gaussian) was missing. So figured this was nowhere ready so I uninstalled it. The problem I am having now is in 2023 PS, I normally do all my editing of course in psd 16x20 inch format. Once finished an artwork, I delete all layers except for final stamped layer, reduce to 1200 px in longest direction to save as jpg, undo size change and undelete all layers to save again so file is intact. These 1200 px files are normally only about 300 kb in size. The one I just put through this daily procedure was almost 6 mb! I shut down PS and rebooted my computer....no change. What do I need to do??

The environment I tested is Windows 10 and there seems to be no problem so far. Honestly, if there's no big problem, I hope it's added to the official release right away.It's not a question or a problem report, but I wrote it because I thought I needed positive feedback!This is the most practical and necessary change in Photoshop, Photoshop Beta in the last two to three years.
