Photoshop Elements

Hi, I used Elements in a prior version on Windows and all pictures are stored on \\diskstation\Pictures\...when I now installed Elements on MacOS, I converted the Catalog to 2024 but all network are shown as "Offline Files", but not as missing.I now tried to fix it on MacOS and the path there is shown as Pictures\... without the \\diskstation in front. When I hover over it shows "\Volumes\Pictures" As I would like to use the same Catalog on Windows sometimes, how can I have the network pictures to be compatible in the catalog with Mac and Windows?If above des not work: How could I relink all files to the MacCompatible path? As they are not shown as missing I could only manage by linking one by one.

I have just moved from one PC to another running Windows 11 and reinstalled PS Elements 23 from my online account. I have run the installation .exe as an administrator and am able to start PS Elements. The first time I did this I was able to recreate my catalog and set up folders to watch, downloading 24K files. Now, when I select Organizer from the PS Elements screen, it starts up and shows a selection of photos, then after 20 seconds or so closes down again. I did read somewhere to find and delete the psa.prf file but I don't seem to have one. Any suggestions on how to run Organizer in a stable manner? PS: I have been able to load PS Elements Editor after entering my serial number and locate files in the Catalog BUT when I click on Organizer I get an error message - somethings gone wrong - need to close - send error report

Does anyone know if Elements 2024 will read Nikon Z8 RAW files. 2023 did not. I will upgrade if it does. 

I want to convert the People, Places and Events tag categories back into ordinary tags. How can I accomplish this?  

I am saving images (JPEG, PSD, etc.) from Adobe Elements to my Windows folders, but when I navigate to those folders My Computer > Folders the images are NOT showing up.However, if I use Adobe Elements File > Open, then I can see that the images are present in those folders.Also having problems with Elements crashing when I try to save an image. Then when I reboot the program, the images that I saw before through Elements are no longer present.I have reviewed and changed Windows Explorer preferences and options to show hidden files, but the problem persists.I have uninstalled and re-installed Elements, but the problem persists.This problem started suddenly. I used Abode Photoshop Creative Suites for 10+ years, but switched to Elements a few years ago.Can anyone help me?My system:PCWindows 10Adobe Elements 14

I have downloaded the software package on my new computer.The folder "install" has to be renewed. But how should this work? I downloaded the package from Adope download area of my registered account. So what should I do?

Photoshop Elements 2023 asks to install Rosetta every time it's opened on an M1 Macbook Pro running Monterey 12.6.1, and won't open if you don't install it.  I've spent hours in chat with Adobe tech and downloaded PSE 2023 from their link, but each time Premiere or Photoshop Elements 2023 tries to open, it asks to install Rosetta.  You can choose "Not Now" or "Install."  Premiere Elements 2023 and Photoshop Elements 2023 opened once even when I chose "Not Now;" the Organizer never opened.  Now Premiere and Photoshop Elements will NOT open if you choose "Not Now."  I'm afraid to load my other software, that are plugins in to Photoshop Elements, beause they run on M1, as should PSE 2023, and I don't want them mistakenly running on Rosetta and defeating the purpose of upgrading to M1.  Adobe tech support hasn't been able to find a fix, has anyone else?

Hello,I would like to 'move' the windows of an image, over another different image while I'm in Photoshop elements? The two 'windows' are 'fixed', and I can't move them inside Photoshop?Thanks for the info!        I mean, I can't do this ? In PSE 2020 when I expand my brushes preset picker to choose another brush set I am able to see the full names of the brush sets I have installed BUTIn PSE 2024 it’s different. The brush preset picker there is much narrower not allowing me to see the full names of the brushes and I can’t see any way of expanding it.I would appreciate any help with this as I find it sooooo frustrating. If it’s important - I am running Windows 10.Thank you...

Hi folks, long term user, love the product.  My wife is unhappy (so me too!) with all the photos being duplicated after PSE23 organizer import from iphones (via USB).  I have been reading thru all of the related posts and cant seem to find a match to my scenario/artifacts, many posts may document workarounds (sd card, or use another app) or show no resolution.  Please help me parse this issue here, ty in advance for replies/recc's.  My baseline configs are PSE23 and PSE22, two windows computers (His and hers! - one win10, one win11), 1 networked synds418 Nas for storage.  I use "delete origonals", The result is duplicate photo's in my NAS storage folders.  Organizer seems to run as expected, but hangs after import, (i dont see the delete photos step anymore), I must force close PSE23.  After reopening/reboot?) PSE23 organizer I see a quick flash of "importing photos" (multiple photos). I still never see the delete photos step (like I used to)...

[UPDATE SOLUTION FOUND: Inside the MAC system preferences under the 'accessibility' settings, my cursor size was a tiny bit larger than normal.]  Original Post: I'm having problems with the brush (see black outline of a square brush). It only paints a small area inside the outline. They should be exactly the same. It's almost impossible if you are trying to paint along an edge of something. How do I fix this setting so the brush and what it paints are the exact same size?  I've tried : every settings on Preferences-diplays and cursors, reloaded brushes with different sets, reset preferences on launch, adjusted every possible setting (hardness, etc) but it remains the same- where the outline is bigger than the paint area. I'm using a macbook pro and desktop with trackpad (not tablet-pen).  It happens on all brushes.

I'm using the trial version of elements 2024 and I'm finding that when I open an image in elements to do some editing the image is very dark. If I edit the image as seen on the screen to what looks OK it prints totally washed out or even if I save the edited version then view it on any other program it is also very washed out. The initial image is quite tonally balanced so if I print the original image it's quite good. I had this same problem with another program that I had and it was something in settings I could change but dont remember what. Any thoughts. I know its got nothing to do with my screen settings because if I load the same unedited version of the image from other programs, eg Windows, Gimp, Coral, Photopad it looks fine and not dark at all. Using a PC with windows 10.

I am using PSE 2018 on an iMac. When I open a photo of 4 people and go to "adjust facial features" in expert mode, circles appear around face of only 3 people for selection of their faces.  Unfortunately, the one I need to adjust is the face not selected with a circle. this face is a little more in shadow, so I brightened image.  How can I select this face?

Hi, I'm planning on taking star trail photos (about 100-125 of them). Based on what I read online, the recommended workflow is to edit the images in Elements (or Photoshop), export them as JPGs and then stack them in StarStax to export as one JPG. That seems hard since I don't know how I would edit hundreds of photos in Elements before getting them into StarStax. Is there a different way to do this? Thanks.

Hello We moved our Photopshop Elements Organizer catalog from an old computer to a newer computer. On both computers the same version (2021) is installed. To transfer the catalog we used the built in backup and restore functionality of PSE Organizer, as described in the help article. (Full Backup) The problem is: On all photos that are newer than 2012 the tags are missing, while on the photos that are from 2004 - 2012 the tags were transfered as expected.The categories were not transferred at all. Has anybody an idea why the tags on the never photos are not visible/were not transferred and how we can get them back? Thank you 

Hi, when logged in I can see my purchases of Photoshop Elements, Premiere Elements and Lightroom from November 13 2018. Recently using a new computer, I have tried to download these again. It will not allow it, instead telling me "This installer is no longer available". As such, i have had to subscribe for now to the very expensive cloud version of these products. I would like to use the software I have previously purchased however. How, where can i download these items that I own? Thank you

I use Photoshop Elements 2023.Over the past couple of months it appears Premiere 2024 was released and ever since whenever I use Photoshop I have to see a popup for Premiere to trial etc.Is there anyway to get rid of this permanently?
