Photoshop Elements

 The first time 2024 organizer and premier encounter a video, both the video and thumbnail display as super tiny (like maybe 10x20 pixels). After it is played once, the video and thumbnail display as they should. It is very annoying to have to play every video that is imported for it to correct itself!

All other features work fine. im using windows 10. when i open elements then click on organizer the small bar will come up with wheel going round for about 90 secs then nothing. i;ve tried holding down shft key. ive tried uninstalling & reinstalling with the smae results. Is there another software that will work for organizing photos that works? Thanks, Jim J 

I am trying to move Photoshop Elements 2023 from my old computer running Windows 10 to a new computer running Windows 11 and Photoshop Elements 2024.  I open Organizer in 2024 and go to File-Restore Catalog, browse to the removable drive and restore to C:\Users\MyName\Pictures (same folder structure as old computer) with Restore Original Folder Structure. On my old PC the file layout is: C:\Users\MyName\Pictures\Adobe\Digital Camera Photos.When restoring to the new PC Elements creates a three different folder structures: C:\Users\MyName\Pictures\Documents and SettingsC:\Users\MyName\Pictures\UsersC:\Users\MyName\Pictures\MyName Pictures 3 Why is it not creating the exact same folder structure as on the backup from the old pc?The backup is from Elements 2023 and not 2024. Would that make a difference? I have restored from other versions before and have not had this different naming scheme. Thanks!

I tried ingesting a file named IMG_2197.MOV, and got the message '...already present in the catalog'.  I do a Find By Filename IMG_2197.MOV and nothing is found.  I then tried to Optomize the Catalog and it crashes.  I presume the catalog is corrupt but see no way forward given the optomize crashes.  Any ideas greatly appreciated.      

 I just purchased Photoshop Elements 2020 for Mac from the Mac Store.  I am just a photo hobbyist, not a professoinal and do a lot of my exposure editing right within Photos.  I pretty much only intended to use Photoshop Elements to remove unwanted items in a photo or resize or a few things like that.  When I open the Photoshop Elements editor from within Mac OS Photos to edit a photo, if it is a photo I took with my iPhone XSMax, I get a message that this is a 16 bit color photo and cannot be edited unless it is converted to an 8 bit color image.  I take most of my photos with a Sony RX10 Mark III at the moment that I download directly into Mac OS Photos.  When I open a photo shot with this camera, I don't get the same message.  It is a bit of an older camera, although quite capable.  Maybe newer cameras shoot 16 bit.  Anyway, how much is lost converting to 8 bit.  Did I buy the wrong photo editor.  Does full Photoshop work with 1

When I try to open a Raw file (ARW) in Photoshop Elements 2024, the Camera Raw dialog box doesn't open. And the program closes.Camera Raw is installed. The camera is supported by camera Raw (Sony A7ii). The problem was suddenly there in the Photoshop Elements 2019 version. Removed and reinstalled it, but the problem remained. That's why I upgraded Photoshop Elements to version 2024. But the problem is still there. Does anyone have a suggestion?

When loading a raw file into photoshop elements 2024, camera raw just shows a blank screen. I can still click on "Done" (or any of the other buttons at the bottom) to insert the photo into photoshop elements but I can't view the image or make changes in camera raw. Also, when clicking "about camera raw" photoshop elements freezes and I have to force quit it. Photoshop elements also still shows the option to install camera raw under the help menu. When opening a file it shows camera raw version 15.5 at the top even though I have installed version 16.0 from online and creative cloud shows that camera raw 16.0 is installed. I have tried re installing camera raw through photoshop elements, uninstalling and re installing photoshop elements, and installing camera raw from online. I have also tried opening files from diferent camera with the same problem. I'm running MacOS 14.0 

My Adobe Elements Organizer 2023 (Version 21.0) requires about 1 minute to load a catalogue with about 35.000 images. During the loading of the catalogue the CPU, RAM, and SSDs are lightly loaded (below 40%) according to the Windows 11 task manager. After the loading of the catalogue has been completed the Organizer is responsive and wait times are low. How can I reduce the times to load the catalogue?

Hello fellow community participants! Back in time I've used the old Photoshop Elements (32-bit v9) on an old Mac for long, but some years ago I switched to newer (64-bit edition version 21). Now I run Photoshop Elements this along with some very good plug-ins called Nik Collection (from DxOLabs) – all on top of macOS 12.7.1. As long as I used Nik Collection 6.0 everything worked fine. But when I upgraded Nik Collection from 6.0 to 6.3, some things started going wrong 😞 Suddely, the Nik tool «Dfine» wouldn’t open RAW files any more, rether it insisted on being "fed" with JPEGs only! This was very strange, so I contacted DxOLabs support. But without much help. Their representative kept asking silly questions and told me to do things that really didn’t lead to anything 😞 Thus my hopes were high when another release of Nik Collection (6.5) came out, and I tried upgrading again. How do I use Lightroom as my external editor for Elements 2024? I looked at the Browse function but did not know which file I should click on in Adobe Lightroom files.

New Macbook Pro M3Recently purchased 2024 Photoshop Elements and it will not download and install.  I've gone through the downloading tips (turn off firewall, switch internet connections, etc.) and nothing works.  Adobe support hasn't helped.  They just keep repeating the same download tips that didn't work for the 20th time.  Adobe unilaterally closed my case without resolution.   I keep getting an interrupted internet connection error, but I don't think that is the issue.  Diagnostics says the connect is good, and I have never had this problem downloading any other application on the internet.  My business depends on having a reliable connection to upload videos to a web based training site.  Again, I've never had an issue.   I've spent countless hours trying to get this issue resolved.  Help is much appreciated.TIAfp

Yesterday I downloaded a free trial copy of DXO Nik Collection 6.  Then when I tried to use 'moving elements' under the enhance tab, the program crashes and closes down.  I have uninstalled Nik Collection 6 but the problem is still occurring.  'Moving elements' under the enhance tab worked as normal beforehand.

I have imported two .jpg files into the Elements 2022 Organizer, but their thumbnails will not display in the folder where the files reside.  I have verified using the Windows 11 File Explorer that the file names are unique.  When trying the import a second time the Organizer says that 8 files were skipped because they are already in the Catalog, but the Organizer still will only displays thumbnails for 6 files.  The 6 files that it shows are the ones at the top of the attached clip.  One of the files that will not display is the one shown in Elements Organizer message box.  Its associated message is highlighted in blue in the list of files skipped.  The other file that won't display is the other file whose file name ends in "...Week 1.jpg".  Both of the files that will not display in the Elements Organizer will display in Adobe Bridge.  I have run the catalog error detection tool which indicated that no errors were found and I also did a catalog

I haven't experienced this in earlier versions. Save for web won't line up correctly, a picture says a thousand words. Could anybody using the 2024 edition on Windows (or maybe on Mac, please specify) please confirm the issue?I regularly do cutouts with white backgrounds, I have to keep moving the object to the right to center it.EDIT - I've since found that the issue appears to be more to do with the preview itself rather than the final saved result.Thanks...

Hallo zusammen,auf meinem alten PC befand sich PSE8. Als ich mir im letzten Jahr einen neuen PC zulegte, habe ich u.a. meine grosse Bilderdatenbank kopiert und dann PSE8 installiert. Ich errinnere mich nicht, dass ich eine Seriennummer eingeben musste.Fakt ist jedenfalls, dass der Editor auf dem neuen PC nicht mehr startet und der Grund dürfte darin liegen, dass kein Seriennummer eingetragen wurde bzw. ich auf dem alten PC nicht die Seriennummer gelöscht und deaktiviert habe.Was mache ich nun?Welche Möglichkeiten gibt es die Seriennumer auf dem neuen PC zu aktivieren?Danke und GrussMike

Able to select transition with Ctrl/rt click, click Select  then and drag to media in video(selecter from organizer).Transition box light up but transition is not added to slides.

My computer crashed. I have original box I bought program in from walmart 8 yrs ago. No limit is stated on the box, yet adobe has blocked me from getting it to work on a new computer. 

When I put my photo card in containing. Dng files my laptop has started to say no programs associated with the file types when I know elements 9 is.

I'm using PSE 2020 on a MacBook Pro. I edited photos from RAW into jpegs, but now I can't find my edits. RAW files are still there.  Also grayed out are xmp file, which I don't know much about. What went wrong? It would save me a lot of time if I didn't have to re-edit my RAW images.
