Photoshop Elements

I am a long time PS Elements user and currently have elements 23 which I use with Lightroom Classic.  I wonder how the new Elements 24 is interfacing with Lightroom Classic.  Everything works perfect for me now and I hate to upset the apple cart.  Does anyone have first hand experience with the new edition of Elements and LR together?I am a PC Windows user.

Hi EveryoneCurrently Amazon have a Black Friday deal on Photoshop Elements v24 discounted to £45, however their listing says you can only install on 1 device. Adobe's site details mention the more usual arrangement where the software can be installed to 2 device but not to be used concurrently - Which licence type applies? I tend to think it will be the Adobe statement re 2 device but just would like confirmation from anyone who has taken up the uk Amazon deal. Adobe have a Black Friday deal running to Nov 24th but I couldn't find Elements v24 listed as included in the deal, they appear to be selling at the usual non-discount sum of £86! This seems very odd and I don't really believe it. Anyone in the uk who can confirm? Many thanks for any and all responses. Terry UK

I also had that Problem with Version 21 but I hoped, V23 would have a solution for that (I bought it on 17th of October!):Editing a video I want to drop a crossover or so from one picture to the next. But always, when the curser went to the effects, the timeline is running and running and running. Taking the effect and holding it until I recive my location again costs a lot of time. Are ther any prefferences I have to switch on pr of? Thanks for answers! Mac mit Sonoma 

I have a new laptop and keep going in circles trying to install my stand-alone 2021 version of Photoshop Elements. I read through seveal of these threads but they have instructions like "go to the CC page and chose 'More' next to the app you want. But there is no 'More' next to Photoshop. I have the redemption code and serial number but I initially bought it on Amazon (education version) and that link only says that it has already been downloaded. I am at a loss. Appreciate any help you can offer. Thank you.

 Guten Tag,ich verwende PSE 2021.Die Bildtitel im Vollbildschirm werden ziemlich weit oben gezeigt und stören den Gesamteindruck des Fotos.In meiner vorherigen Version PSE 10 waren die Bildtitel weiter unten und haben nicht so gestört.Kannn man in PEE 2021 die Blildtitel im Vollbildschirm verändern?Ich habe das Problem bereits in "PotoshopCafe" geschildert. I have both Photoshop Elements 2020 and Premier Elements 2020 installed on my PC.  I am having real problems trying to re-install the Premier Elements (having unistalled it because of persistent problems with it. )  The downloaded exe file starts OK but them stops at about 88% saying it is unable to install.  When I uninstalled the Premier I assumed all associated files would have been removed but I've just stumbled on a folder just called 'Elements 2020' and I don't know if it refers to Photoshop or Premier. If it's Premier I'll just delete it and try the install again.Does anyone one know which application 'Elements 2020' is linked to?Thanks

I had this error occur occasionally in PSE 2020. I would trash the preference file and it would work again. In this update that fix doesn't work. Any suggestions? It's still in the user manual as an option so how?

Just bought new computer & installed Photoshop Elements 2024.  Did full back up of PSE 2018 16.0.0.0 on old computer.  Tried restore catalog on new.  Got error (something about access violation), now can't find where error file saved.  Done this twice with same outcome.  In explorer a number of photo files have loaded but by no means all.  Any ideas please on how to move forward.  Thanks.

I just purchased and installed Photoshop Elements 2024. I am not at all happy with the apperience of the organizer. All the images are cramed together with no space around each image and no file name or date with that image. I need the organizer to reflect this information. what is the solution?

Recently I received help moving my PSE catalog to a new computer. This forum is a great help to average users like me. Thanks to all who helped me. Now to my latest question about PSE 2024.Using PSE 2024 for Mac OSThe current catalog is in a Custom Location. I want to move it to the PSE default location.Using the Catalog Manager my question is:if I select Move CatalogSelect a Location to Move the Catalog  Catalogs Accessible by the Current User and click OK,will it move my [Current] catalog to the standard Adobe default location - Macintosh: /Users/[User Name]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Elements Organizer/Catalogs Thanks in advance.

Do I have to install all my presets and brushes to 2024.  Isn't there an easier way to copy them from 2021 to 2024? Thanks,Pam

I would like to gift a friend Photoshop Elements 2024 as a gift but cannot find a boxed product nor can I find a "card" that contains an activation code.Is there anyway to give a physical product be it boxed or an activation card to someone? If so where do I find it? I have looked at Best Buy, Walmart and Staples with no luck in finding it.Thank you.

Just paid for 2024 update from my previous 2021 version and having significant questions about the organiser.  Firstly the interface does not seem to be as good and wastes a lot of useful space. I work with W11 on a 28" monitor and discovered only by chance that while the window height can be resized in the normal way (cursor change to double ended arrow) anywhere on the horizontal window edges, it only changes the width if placed on the edge of the menu bar at the top.        Secondly the side panel items are spaced much further apart, (effectively double spaced) so far fewer items can be seen when looking at file folders. I couldn't see any way to adjust these.

When I open Elements organiser some of the photos have been revolved through 90 degrees. How can I stop this happening please?

My color swatches look funny - why? I use Photoshop Elements 2022 on Mac (Sonom 14.1)

Hi it's very importan for my company open psd created by photoshop CC 2024 by photoshop elements.There is 2 designers with ps CC 2024 who created a PSD, then send the psd's to several workers with only photoshop elements. And this workers have to open this psd and ONLY hide or show several layers. The problem is the psd who was created with PS CC 2024 can´t be opened by PS elements. The error that shows PS elements is in spanish "el comando fijar no esta disponible", the translation would be something like "the fix command is not available". What's the compatibility with psd with layers beetween photoshop and elements? Thank you.

I have Adobe Photoshop Elements 2022. Purchased in June 2022. Just recently went to edit a photo on my MAC and the program will not show uploaded photos in the photo bin properly. It shows only the same photo repeated and all distorted. Along with where you would select a colour. It now shows the colour box split in half with two colours. I went to the Adobe site - chat bot - finally got an agent who said she couldn't help me but I have to call 18008336687 which I did. He kept directing me to the community.adobe.com site. And when I asked if he would be helping me or is he asking me to find my own solution, he hung up on me. What do I do. My photo program is not working and I can't seem to find anyone to help me.

I have signed out Photoshop 14 and uninstalled it on my old computer and installed it on my new one but I get a message on my new computer that the programme is already in use on another computer, which is not right.  Can anyone advise what I can do? KenL

I recently installed PSE 24 and the bottom toolbar has a white portion (which shows fine) and a much larger black portion that extends across the remainder of the screen. I cannot see any tools or photos loaded in this black portion, but if I hover my mouse, it shows things are there and I can click on them (I just can't see it). I have tried rebooting and even reinstalling with no luck in order to get this black bar removed. Any ideas? Stacy

I've just started using photo editor in Elements 2024.  The online User Guide says that "Photoshop Elements automatically keeps track of the file’s edit history and adds this information to the file’s metadata".    When can I see this information?   In Photoshop, there's a history log in File Info that shows all the edits that were done to the image and that remains even after you close the file.   But when I go into File Info in Elements, it looks like there's a 'history' section there but it's empty.    Is there someplace I can see the file's edit history even after I save and close the file?  (To be clear, I do not mean the History panel that opens along the right side of the window so you can undo recent edits.)  Thanks for any information.(I'm using windows 11 if that matters.)

Hi! How do I add presets into Elements? I downloaded the preset I want to add and put it in the "presets" folder within Elements but it is greyed out.Thank you!
