Photoshop Elements

I purchased and installed Photoshop Elements and used it for several days before my issues began. Once it started crashing and would not stay open I contacted tech support. The first time they had me uninstall and reinstall the application and that seemed to work. Then when I opened my primary catalog it started crashing again. The second time I called the technician uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Once again it appeared to work but not with my old catalog. Using the old catalog seemed to be causing the issue and I was told some of the files must be corrupt in it. So I started over with a new catalog and lost many hours of work. Then the new catalog began crashing with only a 300-400 images in it. I called a third time and had to go through everything from scratch one more time. I was then told that my issue would be escalated and I would hear from someone in 24-48 hours. Two days later I contacted them when I did not hear from anyone. They told me to wait another day. Some but not all of my Elements 13 tags and photos were able to be recovered for Elements 21 on my new computer.  The tags are now all under "Imported Keyword Tags" and I was able to delete a bunch that were not ever my tags (have no idea where they came from) and I am nlw finding that I cannot add sub-categories to those tags now.  Is there a way to take those tags out of "Imported" so that I can work on the photos again?

When I updated my PC to Windows 11, PSE 15 could no longer access the catalogue. I would like to restore the pictures and the catelogue link back to the PC. I was not ready to move all the files to OneDrive. Thanks

I have been using Adobe Photoshop Elelents 2023 since late last year.  Initially the Straighten tool worked without any problems.  Then the Fill tool stopped working, giving me a chequered triangle at each corner.  Later, a second problem occurred, which has become far more serious.  A dialogue box appeared which told me I had to create a Layer, giving me an OK button, plus a "Don't ask me again check box, which I ignored.  After clicking OK, I was presented with a second box, with Layer0 and another OK button, which i clicked in order to proceed.  This worked all right, despite being a pain.  However, when i checked the "Don't ask me again" box, it froze on the second dialogue, with the mouse transformed into the draw cross that I could move but not use for any function.  The only way ahead was Alt + F4!  Any help would be appreciated, including URLs or phone numbers. 

I have Elements installed on a relatively old (2017) Surface Pro. Originally when I purchased and installed Elements the Surface had a 128GB SSD drive (drive C:). Over time this became nearly filled up, and I added a 512GB SD card in the available slot (it is drive D:). When I load photos, it gives me a "scratch disk full" message. When I attempt to change the settings, only drive C: is seen as available for a scratch disk. Are there any other settings I need to change to have Elements recognize the additional storage on drive D:? I could obviously move stuff from C: to 😧 to clear space on C:, but the settings show that up to 4 drives can be selected as scratch disks, but mine only shows drive C:.

After months of use, my crop tool suddenly began defaulting to "Use Photo Ratio" instead of remembering my last used crop setting. I've struggled with this problem since Elements 16, and I've always "fixed" it by clicking on "Reset Tool". However, that doesn't seem to be working now. Does anyone have anything else I can try? 

Last week I was able to select the intersecting photo collage effect and now it's not showing in the selection pane. Has the option been removed?

Ich verwende seit mehreren Jahren PSE 14(unter Windows 10). PSE sürzt plötzlich regelmäßig ab, wenn ich eine Bilddatei öffne. Woran liegt dass?  Wie kann ich den Fehler abstellen?

I have been running PSE 10 on a Windows 10 computer for years.  I now have to move to Windows 11.  What version of PSE do I need to get and will my photos restore correctly from such an old version?  I do have a complete backup which was created from within PSE 10.

I wanted to change the dates on some pictures in one folder to 1954, and it changed them all. I now want to correct dates to the dates the pictures were actually taken. I deleted all the 1954 dated pictures from the folder and on the computer. I then copied the original dated photos to the same folder, but the photos were not added back.  Is there any way to highlight the affected pictures and have them added back to my library again? I upgraded to Photoshop Elements 2023 from 2020 and was hoping the file organization would be easier to navigate, no such luck. It is really quirky and needs an overhaul to make it user friendly.

I can't seem to find the answer anywhere. The requirements state Intel 6th Generation or newer processor will work which seems to indicate it will; however, I have seen that some people had issues with the 2021version. I appreciate any definitive answers!

I completed the Camera Raw install. Install looks fine, box closes once the loading line hits 100%. But when I try to open a RAW file, it shows that I need to install Camera Raw.The first try I installed to the default location on my C: hard drive, Windows/Common Files folder, got the "Need to install.." message. I uninstalled.Possible issue: My PS bundle programs are located on a SSD, drive 😧 so  I then tried installing the Camera Raw plug-in to the 😧 PSE folder and then to the D:PSE/PlugIn folder. No luck either time.Any suggestions?Thank you.

Any updates about running PSE 2022 or PSE 2023 with the Apple M1 Chip? The posts I'm reading are older and there seem to be compatiblity issues. Thinking of updating my 2017 iMac to a new one.  Appreciate any advise. 

Currently if I look at each item (photo/video) in the information window, the OLD back up from last year shows in the FILE LOCATION. I would like the file location to reflect the NEW FEB 6 back up file location.This is what I have seen...I am restoring to the SAME computer that the back up was run on. Thanks for any help!

For some reason, I can no longer change colors like I normally do . I go to Enhance>change color and everything is greyed out except defringe layer.  Any suggustions would be greatly appreciated, thnk you !

Hi, When is it supposed to be released in Photoshop Elements 2023 in Swedish?

Since installing Elements 2022, I have been getting duplicates everytime I wish to download from my camera (a Fuji X30). Initially, I thought I was doing something to cause this, and have checked through all relevant Discussion threads on this forum. Firstly, before I actually download any pictures, I am checking that there are no duplicates on the camera, and can confirm that there aren't. I have also checked whether there were duplicate DCIM folders. Initially I found one, but the pictures in it had already been downloaded, and were not in the sequence of pictures in the Downloader app. However, just to be sure I removed it. The duplication still occurred. I then checked it file individually in Windows Explorer against the files in the Elements Photo Downloader, and found that though the files were duplicated in the downloader, they were not duplicated in Windows Explorer. I also found another anomoly, the file names (just the number assigned by the camera) were being chnaged in down

First - I'm not talking about Windows fonts.  I "hide" the ones I don't want to show up when I'm using Windows.I'm talking about those that show when I'm using Adobe Photoshop Elements - any version.The long, long, long list of fonts in PSE include every Windows font...even those I've hidden throughWindows C --- Windows --- FontsPSE also shows fonts that aren't even in Windows fonts folder.Does anyone know how to delete fonts that show up in the list in Photoshop Elements?I saw the question asked years ago but the only answer was how to delete fonts in Windows.  That does nothing to get rid of fonts in PSE.  Users shouldn't have to be drowning in fonts that they'll never use.Thanks!Linche 

I have just downloaded and installed the German version of Photoshop Elements 15 and Premiere Elements 15. However, I would prefer to have the English version as the key shortcuts match my English keyboard. How can I change this in Elements/Premiere or do I need to deinstall and reinstall?

Hi, hoping someone can help me...   I have just got a new 2021 macbook pro running macOS Monterey and i'm trying to install my copy of Photoshop Elements 2019. This was a digital download version I bought from Amazon and has been running fine on my 2015 Macbook pro.   I downloaded the install files and the installation goes through smoothly, however when the splash screen opens and I click the 'Photo Editor' button, I get the following error message (see screenshot):   'Your application install seems to be damaged, please re-install the application'      I have tried uninstalling and re-installing 3 times with no luck. It doesn't get to the point where I need to input the serial to activate etc.   Could anyone help with this and what the issue might be?   Thanks,   Phil
