Photoshop Elements

I have a 2016 MacBook Pro, running the latest macOS Monterey 12.6.1. I’m trying to replace a background in Photoshop Elements 2023 (v 21.0), using the ‘Guided’ / ‘Special Edits’ / ‘Replace Background’ feature. Step 1 says to select the subject in the photo, which I do. Step 2 says to choose a new background by clicking “Import a photo,” but nothing happens when I click on it.  I tried rebooting the computer, re-opening Elements, and the “Import a photo” button just does not work. My sister has the PC version of Photoshop Elements 2023, and this function works fine for her. I cannot find anything online that addresses this issue.

Why didn't my Albums and People tags come across when I upgraded from PSE 15 to PSE 23? Also some photos came across with really weird dates, e.g. 1601! so they're completely out of order in the Organiser .   

Can anyone suggest a plug-in with similar features to Eye Candy 7? Earlier editions of PE supported it but 2022 does not.....really dissapointed....it was a great one. Thank you in advance.

How can I change the color of the pointer in Photoshop Elements 2021 ? I can't see him when I work with light colors so I want to change him in black instead of gray. 

I need to make some prints from Kodak Picture CD. After some online search, I learned that older PSE can open and convert an image file with PCD format. With Photoshop Elements 2, which I purchased a long time ago, I can browse image files as thumbnails on Kodak Picture CD. But the app freezes after I try to open such a file. Is any batches that fix the issue? I know it is an old version of PSE. I also have PSE 10 and I can't find PCD as a format it can handle.

I made another thread when I first started having issues a day ago(I cannot figure out how to delete it, I'm sorry) but it no longer applies and I am having new issues and PS is non functional now. My computer is a windows 7 HP. I use it to run old art programs only. It is not broken and is in good condition. The hard drive is free(I have used 690 of 900 GB). I have nothing running in task manager/in the BG than what windows requires to run.I have made no changes to my computer in any way to have caused this. A day or so ago my computer started tanking out of nowhere. I wasn't doing anything but browsing twitter and had PS open in the BG and was switching between both for drawing.Photoshop froze so I assumed maybe twitter was lagging it somehow.Closed Firefox and restarted PC which usually helps. Open Photoshop and the 'effects' and 'layers' in the right hand corner minimize themselves every single time I minimize, close or open PS. When importing folders of images into Organizer the thumbnails are being cropped to such a degree that up to half the image is being left out.I want the full image as the thumbnail. Is this possible?

I am 70 years old and retired. I had a subscription with Photoshop Elements and Premier in 2016.  I thought it was a lifetime membership and now I think that I need to upgrade with the new cost.  Last time I used it was to make a video in 2016.  I enjoy fixing up old and new photos as a hobby for me and my family.  I just bought a new MacPro Tablet, and I still have not used it.  I need advice of what to buy, how to use it on my adroid galaxy S21 mobile phone, MacBook Air, and Ipad Pro Tablet. Would like some friendly direction for this U.S. Navy 100% disabled veteran who is 70 years old, retired and in need of photographic hobby.  Thank you. Felix 

Depuis quelques temps le logiciel (Adobe 2022) s'ouvre normalement. Mais il faut plusieurs minutes pour lancer l'éditeur de photos. Reste bloqué sans raisons ou message puis finit par se mettre à fonctionner. Une nouvelle installation n'a rien changé. Appareil sousWindows 11 16 GB de ram. Que faire pour retrouver un fonctionnement normal ?

Elements 2023 (and older versions too) - How to exclude folders from being automatically included in the automatic scan?  v2016 and 2019 all do the same annoying trick The organiser scans an includes folders on a different drive whiuch are confidential, I don't need those scanned and included in the general mashup that Orhaniser imports. How to exclude a folder or even a drive please? Many thanks

Everytime after installation and login to my account.  When it tries to validate my serial number it gives me the following errorPlease connect to the internet and retryI have been on adobe support for HOURS and DAYs with no luck.  Multiple installs, turning of virus protection, etc, etc....The last support said that it won't work on a "work" computer.  Does not make any sense.  It's no different than a personal laptop since we are a 2 man shop and no IT dept.  Not extra software or protections that might have been put in place it was a big company.Please can anyone help??? I just want to use my software that used to work on my pc before it got wiped clean by ASUS to repair a fan.

New user of Elements 2022.... One time purchase version.  When I launch, I am asked for my computer password, then goes to an install screen that takes 15 seconds or so and then opens to the home screen.  I select photo editor and seems normal to use (using expert, different layout from my old version). Why am I asked for the computer password and how to stop requiring?  Why am I going thru the install screen prompt?Can the window be less than full screen?How can I launch photo editor directly? (replys in the forum are not specific) Thank you

How to look at your pictures in full screen in PS Elements Organizer? Whitout silly effects and silly sounds?

Photoshop Elements 2023.Windows 11The spot healing brush has a weird box and I can't get rid of it.It's actually clear in the center with thin black outlines of different image but it won't show when I copy/paste or use PrtSc. So I held down the left mouse to darken it so you could see it. When I right click on the spot healing brush there's no option to reset it and I can't find one in the toolbar.  

An Adobe CSR loaded Photoshop Elements 17.0 and Premiere Elements 17.0 onto a new Win 11 (home) computer yesterday. Worked fine until today. Couldn't  open both programs. Closed the programs in task manager and they opened but froze after opening. Now back to not being able to open both programs. Chat with a Adobe CSR said my programs are outdated product versions. And offered no help or soultions except to post my issue here and the Adobe dedicated team there will guide you further. Can someone help?? Thank you!

Bonjour,Du jour au lendemain mon photoshop element 13 ne fonctionne plus.Il reste bloqué sur cette étape( voir photo)Je suis sous windows10J' ai pensé que mon compte adobe avait été supprimé (car j ' avais reçu un émail qui le précisait) et que c' était là, peut-être le souci.En me connectant à Adobe, je m' aperçois que mon compte est toujours là et c' est une bonne chose.Néanmoins je ne peux plus utiliser mon photoshop.J' ai déjà désinstallé et réinstallé le programme mais sans résultat.Merci d' avance pour votre temps consacré à ce message.Belle journée   

I've used (or tried to use) PSE for several years but there have always been problems. The response time with anything I try to do makes the software unusable for me.  I upgrade and it makes no difference. The issues are the same. Should I even try upgrading again? Have response time issues improved with upgrades? Is the problem with the transferring of existing data to the new software? WHERE can I get the answers to fix these issues? Nothig I've been told has ever resolved the issue. Or can anyone tell me what other software I can get to organize and edit my photos? I won't buy another upgrade to PSE without help. 

I downloaded Photoshop elements 2023 tonight to trial it as I wanted to try the coloring option under enhance. When I try to use it however I get an error that says "Feature download fail. Either the server is currently down or your computer is disconnected from the internet. Check your connection and try again". I have double checked connection, closed and reopened the program, and reset my computer hoping it would fix the issue but still get the same error. Everything else works fine so I'm not sure how to fix the issue. 

Buongiorno.Parte delle foto inserite nel ctalogo non danno una miniatura e mostrano il logo di una foto rotta.La stessa foto aperta al di fuori di Photoshop Elements è completa.Sono file jpg e probabilmente scattate dallo stesso apparecchio...Con l'azione "Ripara il catlogo" da come risultato la cancellazione del file.Chi ha un'idea per risolvere l'errore?

Hello... I recently purchased PSE 2023 and installed it on a fresh 1 week old windows 10 install. Specs: AMD Ryzen 9 5900x, 64GB DDR 4, 1 TB gen 4 NVME, EVGA Nvidia RTX 3080. Everything is very stable. PSE 2023 crashes frequently. 2021 was stable for me. 2023 crashes frequently, especially every time I use the moving overlay feature when I go to save the file in the default mp4 format. it will save as a gif though. Wondering if anyone has run into this bug and knows how to fix it. Thank you for any insights...

Using the latest version 2023 with the above IOS. The Shadows and Hi-light function preview has to to be toggled twice for the preview (change) to appear. The REdo function does not work on my Wacom intuos Pro tablet express keys. The Redo express key works in other programs with no problems???? Any abody having similar bugs?

Elements 2018 has suddenly stopped working completely. Comes up, but no response to clicking on anything. Even to exit the program had to use Task Manager. Reboot does not help. Bringing it up as Administrator does not help.But I need help.

Is there any way to remove all the unused names that pop up when I go to name a new face? I name them by their full name but I get all sorts of first names like Alex, Anna, Andy, Allen as the first option. I'd prefer to get Alex Houser, Anna Boster, Andy Tolier and Allen Cooper. Does that make any sense?

 I am using Photoshop elements  2022 for Mac OS. I am trying to remove color cast from about 100 photos using layers. Is there any way to save my editing steps to quickly apply the same adjustment to all the photos ? Or process them simultaneously in a batch?
