Photoshop Elements

I had a approved licensed copy of photoshop Elements 2020 purchased through adobe but now it's disappeared from my Laptop why did Adobe remove it? I have a shortcut that works

I purchased PSE 2019 and a few minutes into the installation I get a pop-up that says:Sorry, installation failedAn unknown error has occurred. (Error Code:1)There is a get help link, but it brings me.to the error code page.  Error code 1 says:Core components failed to install/update.  Solution: Download the latest version of the installer and try again.  I downloaded 2019 from the website and got the same error.I'm running Windows 10.Thanks

This is not a new issue. I've been experiencing it since I started using Photoshop Elements and I've reported it to Adobe many times, without resolution.I'm now using Photoshop Elements 2022 on my HP Desktop Computer on a Windows 10 Platform.I was working on the program a few days ago when it again froze and I had to reboot.When I reopened then program ALL work that I had in my Bin had disappeared.The “Recent Items” just had older files that I had saved.Most newer programs store your work and restore it when you reopen the program.Where is Adobe in introducing such a feature in Elements ????Too technical a problem for a massive company like Adobe ??Obviously, remembering to save my work often is a poor solution but so far the only one I know of !!Very frustrating to lose hour of work because of a Program freeze !!!!

good afternoon. I know it is me, but i cant figure out what I am doing. I have an image that I am using as a background. I have created 3 layers of  different colorizations that all show on my background copy when i unhide them. I created a 4th layer of painted on colors. when it is unhidden, the painted areas arent showing. they show in the thumbnails on the  layer panel but not on the main canvas. I tried doing the paint additions onto some of the previously created layers as well with the same (non) result. What am I doing wrong?  Thank you in advance for your help!   

I purchased a copy of Photoshop Elements 13 many years ago and used it happily for years.  Now suddenly Adobe can force me to login and pay to use software I bought years ago?  I've never seen anything so nakedly unethical.  I can't get around having to use the PDF format but I'll rot in a grave before I ever buy an Adobe product.  Ever.  

How can i stop the Organzer from automatically uploading videos and photos? There are many that I dont need to use on Adobe products and it they just clutter the organizer and takes up space, Thanks in advance for any assistance

I backed up my PSE 2021 catalog to a folder on a drive.  When I do an incremental backup, I select the correct folder but the new files are all dumped into the root directory.  How do I get the software to drop these folders into the indicated folder?  The Backup.tly file is located in the correct folder, BTW. Windows 10, Dell XPS, 32GB memory, i9 processor, 10 core. Thanks. 

I recently used the trial version of Elements 22 but then uninstalled and went back to my Elements 14 (still installed on my Windows 10 computer). Elements no longer shows as an option when setting default apps. If I click on an image and tell it to open with Elements - it doesn't work. If I open Elements and then click File, Open I CAN get an image to open, How do I get Elements back as the default app? How do I get Windows to see it as an option?

I just updated to Photoshop Elements 2023. I have accumulated several old versions of Photoshop Elemets on my computer (2019 Mac Pro desktop, 3.5 GHz, 96 GB RAM, Mac OS 12). I don't recall ever seeing an option to remove old versions during the installation process.   Can I delete the old versions without messing with the newest version?   D. Robinson, Ithaca NY

Hi,My Dad has a Mac and elements 2022 installed.The problem he has is that when he is choosing a picture to use all of the thumbnails are quite small and he has difficulty picking the right picture he wants to use.Is there a way of enlarging these picture thumbnails to make it easier for him?He's 89 and not doing too bad. I don't use a Mac so easy to understand instructions would be good.  We use Teamviewer so I can log in and try your suggestions without making the 2 hour trip to try them 🙂I've googled it and some youtube videos say to use, I think, File>preferences>interface, but we have no interface!!I found how to do it in Finder, but this makes no change to PSE.  He can use finder and d/c the picture to open in elements but it's a bit of a faff. Cheers.

I'm working with Adobe PS Elements on a Mac laptop.I just want to edit my own files without a kindergarten teacher taking my pics and telling me that I can add a pain effect and a lens flare to them... I already know this and have my own brain to be creative with.When I start my PS Elements, I get that annoying homescreen asking what I want to do. How can I kill that homescreen?Unfortunately, the answer seems to be in a general menu that everyone seems to have access to with a little checkbox to click to not show the screen on startup. But this isn't the case on mac. After scanning slides to JPEGS, Organizer imports the images as broken links. Other scanned prints import normally. All files are JPEGS; why won't scanned slides import?  Thanks

Hi guys.I create actions in photoshop and a client has run into this issue that we can't seam to fix! very time she tries to play the action it comes up with a pop up box that says " This is an adjustment layer that was created in the full version of photoshop and cannot be edited in photoshop elements. " But the action hasn't even been played. On a background layer with a jpeg image.Can anyone help? It's super frustrating, especially when no one else using elements has a problem with the action!Cheers!

I have used elements for a number of years but noticed declining performance (increased spinning wheel of death) for the last several upgrades. I thought it was my computer (2013 iMac 27"), but now I have a 2021 Mac Mini M1 with 16GB memory (Montery version 12.4) . My photo files are on an OWC Envoy SX connected via thunderbolt. And yet I still get the spinning wheel of death and the software is unusable. I uninstalled, reinstalled. I tried the workaround noted in prior threads (changing the sniffer file).  None of this is working. Before I abandon Adobe and look for something else, does anyone have any suggestions?  Danny 

Photo has the person further away and the client would like the photo zoomed in for print.  How can I do that for them without creating a pixeled photo?

I had Photoshop Elements 2022 and used it for almost a year with no problems. About a month ago, i would open the main screen, then select editor. Once the Editor Screen opened, it would then not respond.  I would have to use Task manager to close the program.  The only way I could get it to work again for a small period of time would be to uninstall and reinstall--a reboot did not do it.  I thought that perhaps with all of the Microsoft/Windows updates, that I need to upgrade to 2023.  I have done that.  The first day I used it, it worked wonderfully.  Now it is the same problem.Please help!

I am into genealogy. I have a collection of data pre sixteen hundred and one, which is the earliest date the program appears to allow. It would be great to be able to alter the PSE20 limit to say A.D. 1400 Any ideas most welcome-nice ones please!
