Photoshop Elements

Message "Loading the Elements Organizer Workspace..." appears but nothing happens.

When I select the Text icon (T) and click on the photo - it functions as if I am attemting to crop - and does not allow me to enter text onto the photo. The other tools like pencil are working fine. I have rebooted etc and it does not change 

I've read a post that by deleting folders I also delete photos from the disk and catalog. I want to delete all my photos, save those same photos, which are on a memory card, to an external hard drive and import the photos again. Most of the 500 or so photos are missing files. May I just forget about trying to fix the files and just delete all my photo folders?  I'm using a MacBook Pro.

Help please. Objective is to move both my current PSE Catalogue and Photos onto OneDrive. Thus, providing an always up-to-date Remote/Cloud Backup complemented by my current Local Backup.Advice on achieving this move safely (I am terrified!) will be appreciated. I have considered a full restore, to the OneDrive folder, from my F drive Full Backup. Both with or without first removing all Photo files first. Or alternatively, within the PSE Organiser/Folders facility – to drag or copy the Picture folders (66GB) into OneDrive.Currently my software and catalogue are on the C drive and pictures on the D drive, but outside the OneDrive folder, which is also on the D drive. I also do a Local Full Backup to a freestanding F drive plus a periodic Remote/Cloud Full Backup to the OneDrive folder within the D drive. I have PSE 2020 and i just installed the new Nik collection. My PSE doesn't recognize the Nik collection. the Nik website says that I should be able to access the plug ins from the "Filter" drop down menu but it is not there.

Hi to everyone, I'm Stefano. I'm going to buy a new Mac to replace my old iMac 2011 and I'm looking to buy a mac mini with M1 processor. I bought Photoshop and Premiere Essential 2018, could I use them on the Mini M1? Seems there will be issues attempting to do that. There's no way to contact Adobe for help, so I asked here because otherwise I really don't know where to start. And this only could be a good reason to doubt about Adobe support. Anyway, if 2018 version does not support M1 and/or Big Sur, is there the possibility to update to the last version, hoping that 2021 release is supporting M1 processor? I hope I don't have to buy again the two softwares, otherwise I will find another way for sure. Regards, Stefano

Hi thereUnfortunately I don't find any guide or how-to to deploy Photoshop Elements 2018 silently.We have 500 computer where I have to deploy this Adobe product. But I don't want to activate each manually...I found the Adobe Provisioning Toolkit, but there isn't any LEID of Photoshop Elements 2018 to serialize it.Has anyone any Idea?Thank you in forward.Best RegardsMichael

It would be nice if we had an extra button to show specific tags or not. What I mean is if I tag the name of one person and the click the SPECIFIC button I get all the pictures that have ONLY that person. If I dont click on SPECIFIC, I get all the picture wuere that person appears.The same for multiple TAGS.

Ran into the same issue when I installed PSE 2018 and now I can't remember how to fix this! I want the gray "frame" around the images in the work space to auto-size with the image size, if that makes sense to you. I don't know how else to describe it. In other words, when I change the image size on-screen using Ctrl and - or Ctrl and +, I don't want to see a gray, fixed size background to the image.I'd greatly appreciate if someone can refresh my mind on this.

Hi I have downloaded Adobe 'update' to Photoshop Elements 2020, and now all the functions are no more available. F.ex. Paint buket in Color mode. How can I get a properly working program?

I am trying to create a logo and I am having a bit of an isssue everytime I start out to do it. I am going letter by letter by the way. Would someone mind lining out the basic steps for this? It is also importatnt to note this is a death metal logo. Thank you in advance. David

Recently the "flattening" operation in Organizer took a serious turn for the worse.  Any suggestions?I've played with many of the "Preference" options that I thought might affect this operation, but with no success.

Does Photoshop Elements 2021 open .dng files. Every time I try it opens Camera Raw 13.0.

Hi, I currently use elements 14. I get the dreaded spinning wheel on every action. What are the chances the same will happen if i buy 2021?

I am learning a hard lesson on what NOT to do when getting a new computer AND starting a newer version of PSE. I need help. I store ALL my original photos on an external hard drive. I specified this when bringing my previous catalog into PSE21. I've contacted Support twice, had 1 screen sharing session which "seemed" to solve initial usage problems(bizarre zooming, no updates). Then one day out of the blue I started getting disk error messages when opening a just edited RAW image. Related issues are that when BB transferred my data from old computer to new, they screwed up user accounts. Instead of MY account name used to log-in on the computer, my user account name became the former computer's hard drive name....What this created, amongst hours of sorting through Get Info files for MULTIPLE folders to check access rights, was a very bizarre pathway to the media cache for my catalogue which is stored on the computer's hard drive. I cannot change this pathway to my account name.&nb

The Microsoft Store sells "Adobe Photoshop Elements 2021", but it is not the same build as Adobe's build of Photoshop Elements 2021 purchased from Adobe or other third party vendors. You don't get a serial key, you can't register it in your Adobe account. You can't get updates from Adobe, because the update utility has been removed and Microsoft hasn't posted any of the three updates on Adobe's site. There are numerous features missing through out the MS build. The file structure is very different. Tech support from Microsoft is limited to the download, installation, activation(it isn't visible) and updates(they aren't doing them). Since you don't get a serial key you can't sell it or give it away in the secondary market. The "Adobe Photoshop Elements 2021" from the Microsoft Store is significantly different than the Adobe build and therefore has diminished value. None of the differences were published. Does Elements 2021 allow local area & global adjustments?

My photos are stored on an external drive which has failed. I have a new nas drive and have restored the files from a back up. I can't find how to reconnect the catalog to the new location. I've followed a variety of suggestions but nothing has worked. If I get to the screen which I think should fix it the option to reconnect drive is greyed out.I have tried the approach to 'reconnect files' but as you can see from the second screenshot it's only reconnecting about 1% of the photos. It will find one in a folder but not all of them.A further puzzle is that if I try to reconnect a single image I can't navigate to the folder on the nas drive as the dropdown (thrid image) only shows me local folders & I can't navigate to the external drive, even though it is connected, I can access it through finder and elements is finding a handful of image files.  I'm on a Mac with Elements 14 and 80k photos.  Any thoughts?   

Without a response to my earlier post I'm considering just importing my 90k photos to my new version of Elements. However, in trying to test using import from files and folders I can't uncheck the 'copy files on import' option as it's greyed out. The photos need to stay where they are. Any suggestions? 

So I have seen multiple posts about backups not creating the .tly file and the comments have been that "your backup didn't complete", which really isn't helpful.  I dug and dug and finally found mention of an application error in my Windows Event Log.  Can anyone tell me what this error means and how I stop it so my backup can complete?  The attached file is a screen capture of the error log.  This is on an older Dell Inspirion running Windows 10 Home.
