Photoshop Elements

When I turn on my computer the last item that opens is Photoshop Elements 2023 directly.  The Organizer/Home screen does not open first.  The program opens and then immediatey displays " Adobe Photoshop Elements_ Could not complete because it is not the right kind of document."  Windows 10 up to date. I have 2020, 2021, 2023 and all have worked on this computers configuration. I have stopped all things Adobe in startup apps and services to no avail. The AI helpers is pathetic.  I was having trouble loading 24 and somehow I got a human to help me. t was a c+++ (?) distribution issue and it was working.  Not sure if the bootup problem was there as this machine usually is on all the time.  Something is stuck somewhere wanting to have PS open it.  I was thiking about disassociating all file types from PS... there are many that are not typical picture extentions like PNG, JPEG, etc. I can shut it down and it seems to work... but honestly it pisses me off a

I clumsily typed a string of characters that resulted in Organizer only showing 25 videos.  It's as though I have searched by media type but the search feature shows no active search.  I have tried importing all my media files  but the import dialog reports that the files are already present.  When I use the Search by Calendar feature the icon for January, 2024 indicates 87 files which is  right but when I click on it I only retrieve one video file.  When I search by Media type - Video I do get 25 matches.  When I search Media type - Photos I get "No media available".  There are about 6800 photos.   I would appreciate any suggestions.   Thanks.

Hi, I am trying to use the Conact Sheet II in Photoshop Elements 2022. I get the common error that people come accross where I have to delete the file in the contact sheet prefs folder. I found a location that was not in Library\Preferences\Adobe\ and it worked, but it happened again and now I can't remember or find where that location on my computer was. I am using Photoshop Elements 2022 on Mac Sonoma 14.6.1 I really need help asap as I'm working on a time-sensitive project.

Currently using Lightroom for my raw pictures,I wish to write text on my photos.(text would almost never be the same)Should I buy Elements to do do? Thank you! ;o)

How do I use adobe photo elements on I phone 

Has anyone else been forced into upgrading to a newer version of Photoshop Elements because Adobe could not purge previous activations for older perpetual licensed products.  I feel this is a tactic used to back their customers into a corner and force them into purchasing new products vs supporting the continued use of products already purchased.  From my perspective this could also be a violation of California CCPA and GDPR Personally Identifiable Information rights, as the activation information also has ties to Customer, Company, Devices being used (including Type, OS version, serial number, etc).   I am speaking with a Lawyer about this and wanted to see if this is potentially a class action lawsuit and get other people that were forced into buying new products.   (Image with serial number removed by Moderator. )

I am not the best when it comes to tech. Long story short, I initially used PCmover to move files and settings to my new computer that only had a C drive. I then installed a D drive. My old computer had a D drive too. I wanted my photos and Elements program all on the D drive. My catalog was not working to find the photos as, I think, it was still trying to find them on my old computers D drive! Anyway, I finally was able to use the backup catalog command on the old computer and was able to use the restore command to put it on the D drive in the new computer and it seems to be working and finding all 70,000+ photos. I am thinking all those photos along with the program were put on the D drive and I could now save up some space on the C drive if I only knew what I could properly delete from the C drive. Hope all that makes sense and thanks for any help. This is on a Win 11 machine and Elements 2023.

Successfully installed Photoshop and Priemier Elements 2022, June 2023. Today, the PSE app button does not open the editing screen. The intro page "What do you want to do today", is displayed, and when I click Photo Editor on that page the loading circle spins, then stops. Appears to be an issue with launch.  I purchased these programs myself as a volunteer for a non-staffed NGO. Should I try a re-installation? Has anyone had a similar problem? Unsing macOS Big Sur 11.7.10.

Layer problem can't click to work on. Normally I just click on wording or images on item I working on. IE clicking on a word in the working image it shows up blue in panel, but now doesn't work I have to search through layers trying to find it. Any suggestions please 

Earlier on this year tried the elements 2023 trial - everything fineDeleted it this week and went on and paid for elements 2024 but when I tried to install it, despite the fact that it throws up a web page saying I am logged in, the smaller install page says 'failed to login'Retry and repeated downloads went nowhere, I even used the adobe cleaner to clean all and still no go.I cannot even get anyone to speak to me for to solve this and just keep getting thrown into the self help dialogs that go round in circles.I have a nearly new laptop with a RTX 3000 series card that ran elements 2023 trial so it must be able to run 2024I have tried everything and reached the end of my patience and now have contacted paypal to get my money back.All the new free software on the web that includes ai works like a charm and costs me nothing!Adobe on the other hand want to present me with a nightmare and charge good money for it.At least Microsoft step in when you're having any problems with their softwa

Hello!I have Adobe Photoshop Elements 2024 running on Windows 11. I have created artwork for a tablecloth with my comany's branding which I sent to a printer to print for me. They responded that the artwork will pixillate as it is not a Vector PDF. The open file with all its layers in Photoshop Elements is 57MB. Is there a way to save this file as a Vector PDF in Photoshop Elements - or if not, perhaps there is a plug-in that can be purchased/downloaded to add this function? I tried saving the file as a Photoshop PDF from the 'Save As' drop down menu but that is apparently not Vector. Thanks in advance.

I want to share this story. In February I purchased a standalone version of PSE 2024 in the Apple app store. I got an official invoice, which is evidence of a legally correct purchase. The application is not linked to any Adobe subscription. The application functioned very well for a few months, but since a few weeks I can no longer use it. Every time I launch the application I get the Adobe error message "We can’t verify your subscription status" (although it is a standalone app that does not require a subscription).I tried everything. I followed the proposed solutions on the support pages of Adobe, I uninstalled and reinstalled the application, etc. Then I contacted Adobe support, who said I should contact Apple support, who should provide me a serial number or redemption code. After which I did, but Apple support said they couldn't give me a serial number, I have legally purchased the application and Adobe should allow me to use the application. I just put Elements 2024 on a new Macbook Pro.I tried to import a large number of files from Microsoft One Drive.  I had photos from many different sources on One Drive.  One Drive was pretty good about collecting all the photo files, from different sources  (phones, scans, cameras) and different computers and putting them all under the photos virtual folder.  I was able to import all the photo files on onto MacBook and into the Elements organizer (about 100,000 files).  Elements is not using the photo creation take for date organization puproses, the file creation date is used instead.  The photo creation date is clearly still in the metadata.  How to I organize these photos by the photo creation date?

Can I manually place several scans on a page and add text.  I want to use their raw sizes rather than having the software change or stick them in a collage square

Hi folks, I'm visiting a sporting event abroad and aim to take a ton of photos and need editing software. I have PS Elements on my laptop at home but didn't want to drag it abroad. I just purchased a cheap laptop with only 4GB RAM - my mistake. On coming to the Adobe page I had hoped to simply download my software to this laptop but made a school boy error by not realising it would not run without at least 8GB RAM. My tech knowledge is limited to say the least. I believe an earlier version from 2018 will work. Does anybody know if that's correct and if so where I can find a link to download said programme?? Thanks in advance. 

I am trying to make a montage using photoshop elements 5.I have a background photograph layer and a foreground photograph layer.Both of these layers have an identical family group photograph.I want to apply a mask to the foreground layer in order that i can expose other photographs positioned in bettween the foreground and the background layers.The apply mask button is greyed out and will not apply the mask to the foreground layer.I am desperate for some help please. Peter.richardson459@sky.com

I wanted to Import some photos and videos from my wife's iPhone 13 into my Photoshop Elements 22 on my Windows 11 laptop.  The videos on her phone were HEVC and they will not Import into my PE22 and I get the following PE22 message, "The file is damaged or is in a format that cannot be included in Elements Organizer F:/Photos..._5572.MOV."  The "F:/Photos... " is my external HD where my PE22 Organizer and/or catalogue is.  I know how to change her phone's settings to that she does not get HEVC videos and HEIF photos, and have since changed those settings.  However, how can I change her HEVC videos on her iPhone to H.264 (or .MOV) and change her HEIF photos still on her phone to JPEG?  Seems there must be a way of doing this without using an app that I am not sure I can trust.

Why is Adobe making me sign in to my PS Elements 2021 account, every time I want to use it?

I had been using this ancient elements software for over a decade. Today I tried bringing a Nikon D810 photo (.RAW file) into the application, it gave me the camera raw error of not being up to date to read the file. I then went to download the newer version of Camera Raw from Adobe and after it installs nothing changes. I also have noticed that the "preferences+CTRL" trick I've found on youtube won't work for me, as when I hit the Edit>Preferences there is no camera raw to click on. I have looked for it in my program files as well (to replace it with the newer version) but cannot find a standalone file either. I uninstalled and reinstalled Elements as a last ditch effort. Really confused. Just now I checked for updates, and it recommends the 7.4 version which I believe is what I had before I uninstalled. Why won't it show newer versions? Camera Raw Version 7.1.0354Windows 10 Thanks  

Assuming my attachment went through, you can see a blue window with the message, “Try new moving overlay creations on the Elements web app!  Click to get started.” That blue window would not go away, no matter what I tried. I finally had to quit Elements and reload my document. It's more than a tiny bit annoying. This took place on 2024-08-16 a little before 7:15 pm PDT. Thank you! I'm using:Mac mini 2013 (Apple M2 Pro Silicon Native)macOS 14.6.1Elements 2022 ver. 20.0 (20220702.Git.dot.b9b2853)

Hello! I have viewed all of the related 'Save As jpg' threads, but they all show the solution as going into Preferences and selecting the 'Revert to Legacy' option, which I don't have.My one laptop is in the shop, so I am using another, and even if I save as a copy, jpg will NOT come up as an option, and in the File options there is no Save as Copy option available. Please help! Pics attached...(BTW Photoshop Elements 2022 on Windows 11 OS-Files already in RBG 8 Bits/channel)
