I have used Pinnacle editing software many years.I went to Mac Mini and their software does not work on Mac. So I tried Premier Elements.I feel like it is program designed for first time users only, not a Lite versionof the Pro.I can't even find a way to import a lower third graphic I made to use as an overlay as a name banner.I feel sad I spent money on this program.

Hello. I am Olof fråm Sweden. I have uses for exempel Open shot on my computer and it works fine. But yeasterday I installed Adobe Premiere Elements 2021 and it does not work.1/ When I start the program in the Expert mode, and I put a video-clip ( mp4-format)on the timeline. Than when I start the video on the timeline, the sound it good but the motion picture looks very bad. It is ribbons all over  the display. It looks as if the screen is damaged.My computer has a new I7-processor with 16 gb Ram. I have Windows 10 home version 20HOS version: 19042.1083. What can I do?  ( I tried to install the program on a 8 years old I5, Hp laptop.   The program seems to work there. But I could not upgrade to verson 2021.01 either)(2/ Also I could not upgrade to version 2021.01 which I wrote about in another post(thread)Regards Olof  in Sweden

Hello, I am using Premier Element 2021. After editing a projet for a few times, the video and audio no longer match. For exemple the audio of a different clip start running with the video of another clip. What can I do ? Thank you!

Hi,  I've recently shot some footage on my GoPro Hero 9 black in both 4k 30fps and 4k 60fps. When I try to import all the footage into Premiere Elements, it only imports the 30fps files and not the 60fps ones. It says "file not supported or missing a codec" Does anyone know how I can import them? Or if not is there a way to export the 30fps footage as 60fps once I've finished? Thanks in advance

I am on iMac with Big Sur and newly installed premier elements 2021.  I have extensive background in video but have chosen to transition to amateur product since I have retired.  I am having many problems.  These are just a few: Playhead doesn't start and stop by depressing the space key or the play/pause key.Playback does not include play of the video even though it is in the timeline.Software freezes during render and will not progressSoftware freezes up and will not progress while simply attempting to add a title to the timeline. I have worked several hours trying to produce a 1-minute video as my first project with this new software and I still can't make it come together.  Formerly, I have produced thousands of hours of video projects using Premiere Pro..  It is more than maddening. Any ideas as to how to proceed?  If you guys had paid phone support, I would pay for help. 

Hello. I have worked with OpenShot and it works fine om my computer. But now I have installed Adobe Premiere Elements 2021 and I got a lof of problems.1/ Could not upgrade to version 2021.1Error messages: UpdateconflictErrorcode 1312/It is difficult to use Premiere Elments because it very  often prompts you to upgrade.But it is not possible to upgrade  What can I do?Regards Olofin Sweden 

 Hello,Running PE21. I can not select hardware acceleration using the GTX 1060 6GB of my system. The option stays greyed out. Tried driver versions: 399.24 - 416.94 - 425.31 - 461.40 - 466.27 - and the latest studio driver from nvidia. The option does not unlock. I have a video that is one hour long. I want to select a part that starts at 15 min, 12 seconds and ends at 24 min and 34 seconds. I then want to export that part so that I have a new video that is 9 min and 22 seconds long.I actually want to do this at various parts of the video so that I have short parts of the original that I can play individually or all together.Can anyone point me to a video or paper that tells me how to do this?Thanks.

  every time I export a movie, regardless of resolution, frame and length, the following information is displayed: error compiling the file. Unknown error. I have a lot of disk space. The problem has been appearing for several days. Please help.

GPU Accelerated Rendering & Hardware Encoding/Decoding (adobe.com)   When I was using AP2020 I was able to use hardware-encoding option then exporting my clips. Some time ago I switched to AP2021 and that option is not available. It says that “hardware-encoding option is unavailable” however I haven’t made any changed to my hardware.   My Intel GPU enabled  and visible in Task Manager.   Any ideas how to fix it?    

I bought the discs and used it for years on a windows 7 pro machine.  Uninstalled (it had recently stopped working message was driver errors).  Got new machine HP Fury with windows 10 pro.  It installs fine and the left sided menu works great ref files etc but starting new project just does not complete.  I tested the Mac version on my old MacAir  (never used it before on it) and it installed perfectly so could use it on that but prefer on new machine. Not tried uninstalling and re installing yet as I wonder if there is something basic I am missing here.  Help much appreciated.

I'm using PE 14 and have a 1920x1080 project.If I export using the setting "HD 1080" 1920x1080 with Format: "MP4 - H.264" I get a nice mp4. But this video is not playing on my iPad with iOS 14. What is the best export setting to obtain the quality of the project and get a video file, that is playing in iOS?

I set up the project using PAL and 1080 plus 5.1 audio. All goes well until I try to adjust the volume of the audio at which stage the program just hangs also without saving. I am using Premier Elements 15

I am using Adobe Premier Elements 2020. I created a new project, added video clips and created clip markers at key points.  I then saved the project.  When I reopened the project, all of the clip markers were gone.  The markers were of the type "unnumbered."  I also created several time line markers.  These markers were preserved.  I am an occassional user opf Premier Elements.  But I have created projects in the past with clip markers and the markers were always preserved after closing and opening the project.  I am absolutely certain that I saved my project after creating the clip markers.  There was an extensive amount of time involved in creating them. Does anyone have any idea what could have happened to the clip markers?   ThanksDave

Hello, today I updated Premiere Elements 2020 to Version 18.0 (202001207-daily.2234367)After this update, the resolution is wrong, because it is far too low.Nowhere can I find the settings, to change this.  The font also seems to be wrong.  Micha   

I've a short video clip with radio music in the background.I want to add the full track, that I have as mp3, to extend the playing over the next clips in the timeline.Is there a simple way or mechanism to synchronize the full music track in soundtrack with the background music in the video to prevent annoying echos?

Hello. I'm doing 4K video editing with Premiere elements 2021 and would like to know how to make the software run smoother when editing. I have an intel i7 processor (6th generation), 16 GB of ram, an ssd (which stores the system and Premiere Elements) and a HDD (which stores the rushes; eventually, I will be able to copy the rushes to the ssd before mounting). I want to speed up the render calculation when I apply any effect (especially stabilization) to see the result properly while editing, and improve the speed of the calculation for exporting. My rushes are in H264 and I export in H264 (I found this in the Premiere Elements documentation: documentation ) During a render, my processor is at 100%, the memory has about 6GB free, and the hard drives do not exceed a few percent. So I tell myself that the best thing to do initially is to help the processor with a graphics card. Is this a good choice, will I see a difference in Premiere Elements? If so, which graphic card to choos

The last half dozen exported videos have frozen / stopped rendering at 98%I cannot close Premel 21 normally but must use the Task Manager methodWhen I get to my desktop (where I save my videos to) I find the edited video was in fact saved even thoughPremel showed frozen at 98%Any guess as to what might be causing Premel to freeze stop at 98% and not closing normally?

I have an NVidia GEForce GTX 1060 6 GB GPU.  The GPU shows up as being supported on the list here:https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-elements/using/gpu-acceleration.html#recommended_cards However, in Premiere Elements 2021 when I go to Preferences->General, the detected graphics processor is correctly identified as the GTX 1060, but it states that it is unsupported.I'm running Windows 10 21H1 and have updated my Nvidia drivers to the latest version. I tried contacting support and they walked me through that is clearly a generic debugging list:Delete the preference files for Premiere ElementsMake sure that the program folders had read/write permissionsDouble check my computer's capabilities (i7-7700 with 32 GB)I'm running on a local admin account.  I gave up when they tried getting me to create a new local test account on Windows afte I spent an hour with them. I'm open to other suggestions.  Carlos

I am using Premiere Elements 15. I simply want to edit video clips to upload to Adobe Stock, such as mute the audio and do some cutting. Elements always creates a project with an extension of "prel". I don't want a project. I just want my edited video to be in the file folder that it was in originally, just like they are when I correct photos with Photoshop. I can't seem to figure out how to do this.

Hi, I am having problems exporting a video in elements 2021. When I select the 'Disc' option and then down in the dialogue box select Disc instead of ISO Images, on selecting the DVD drive (external), I get the message 'No burners detected'. Is my DVD drive faulty? I can read other dvds perfectly.

I am unable to export a finished video because the error message "Shake reduction is in progress or has encountered an error" appears.It continues "Please restart export once process is complete or resolve the error and try again."  How to I find and resolve this error ??
