Premiere Elements

All of my m4v videos opened in Premiere Elements 2018, but I get an import error in 2020 version. Documentation states that m4v video files can be imported, but not exported. Using MacBook Pro running MacOS Mojave. Any ideas?

I just purchased Adobe Premiere Elements 2020.  Never used it before.  I was using Arcsoft Showbiz.  I uploaded a 52 minute video and it won't show me all the frames, only the first one in the timeline.  I want to expand it but I can't.  it is an MPG file.  I want to correct some brightness and noise issues.  Is this program only for short videos?.  That's all I ever see in the tutorials.  Does anyone know if 95000 frames is too many for the program to handle? Frame dimension is 720 px by 1280 px. Does it just take a long time for the storyboard to expand?

I installed Premiere Elements 15 on Windows 10 Pro (18362.356) (HP Elitebook, i7 processor, 32 GB RAM). It used to work, but it does no more. I can see Adobe Premiere Elements on my task bar, but it will never open, even if I wait for long (24 hours plus).I uninstalled and reinstalled, but no success Any idea?

It’s possible to execute this function on more clips?I have a project with more than 20 clips … i must repeat manually this function on each clip? ThanksRoberto

My timeline playback keeps stopping and I need to hot play numerous times to keepit moving. Has anyone else had thisproblem and how did you fix it. It was working fine. I think this happened after an update. 

I've had adobe premeire elements 4 for years and I just reinstalled it onto my laptop. It told me to go to this website and input the serial number to get the MPEG2 component.www.adobe.com/go/encoderactivation a 404 page telling me it doesn't exist. every. time.I do not want the latest product, i just want access to the old one. Does anyone know where i can activate my disc copy or is this just another brilliant design by adobe to make things i paid for be invalid when out of date. edit/// did more research and as it turns out, I found someone who struggled with this issue ~3 years ago so its nice to know adobe is on top of it, as usual, and no longer supports this version. period. thank you for once again proving to be crooks in every sense of the word, adobe. Some of my videos on my timeline have a orange indicator line above the video including the first video.   Do I need to worry about this? 

I purchased Photo Elements for 2019 for download on Amazon, after the latest OSX rendered my Photoshop CS5 unusable.   I get the same message many other get, that the install is damaged... Does not appear to be compatable with Catalina, even though it installs.  I tried to register the SN in Adobe for support and received a message that the serial number is not valid.  I purchased this and can not get my money back from Amazon. and can't seem to get any online help from Adobe.  Any ideas?

Thanks for taking my question:I want to update several of my video files. I previously saved the file as Adobe elements.When I try to open, it gives me an error message of file not supported or coded is not installed. If I cancel, the timeline comes on the screen without the video or audio. Thank you.

When I try to burn my video to a DVD I am getting an error.  "Low system memory"[..\..\Ser\Win\WinFile.cpp-766]

HiI'm going up and down a track on the timeline using the arrow keys.I then find a splice point and do CTRL+K and cut it. * Now I want to delete the clip before the chop, the best way I can do that at the moment is select that clip with my mouse and hit delete on the keyboard. Then ideally I want to close the gap afterwards if necessary *. How can I do this with keystrokes on Windows with no mouse?Thanks.

HelloI've got some Variable Framerate Footage (VFR), apparently this is supported in Adobe Premiere Elements 2020 (Windows 10). Adobe Premiere Elements does detect it is VFR, however it's coming out jerky. I notice there is an option in the Pro version to "Smooth Video Motion" - as I am discarding the audio, I would like to use this option:https://community.adobe.com/t5/Premiere-Pro/FAQ-How-to-work-with-Variable-Frame-Rate-VFR-media-in-Premiere/td-p/10348229 I am assuming this is (strangely) not available? (In other words VFR not fully supported). Any tips to work around this? Thanks..

Hi I'm lassoing a bundle of clips and trying copy and paste them to a new track.Whatever I do the paste happens on the same source track but not the destination track, I work around this by pasting at the end of the source track and then dragging them over to a new track. My conclusion here is that I don't know how to select tracks correctly, I've googled and I'm not coming up with anything. Can somebody please babyspoon me?Thx

Hello, first time being here. I'm wanting to make a DVD from a AVCHD file. I am able to play the video on my computer without any issues with good quality. However when it comes to creating a DVD the video turns out blurry. I have try changing the resolution In settings without luck. I try creating a smaller file to check if it would do any difference, negative on that. Is there another step that I am missing in order to not get a blurry DVD?Thanks in advance.

On my iMac Pro I just upgraded to Mac OS Catalina (10.15) yesterday, and downloaded the new Adobe Premiere Elements 2020. When I go to use my built-in Mac iSight webcam, under "File". "Add Media From", "Webcam" and it reports that NO webcam can be found with the Error Message: "NoWebcam or WDM device detected." and it displays the "beach ball" timeout for about 3 minutes before Premiere Elements 2020 becomes responsive again, then it still shows a windows showing "No Device Control." error message and both "Capturing Source" and "Audio" options are blank. I am unable to use my Webcam (either the built in iMac Pro one) or an external USB plugged in Logitech c930e model to capture video from my webcam into Adobe Premiere Elements 2020. I just upgraded from Premiere 2018 to Premiere 2020.  An important part of my work is to pull reasonable stills from a video segment.  In 2018, this feature worked in great.  In 2020, I am gettingvery blurred results.  The image on the screen is very clear but the freeze frame is blurred.Really disappointing. Is anyone else having this issue?  Any suggetions on how to improve my situation?  I tried opening the file in Elements 2018 to get my stills. No surprise, it fails to open. Thanks in advance, Doug.

With Premiere Elements 2019, can I digitize overlay property lines on drone video? 

The 2020 Premiere Elements is still not able to load Apple ProRes mov files - this is very disappointing - and this is the reason that I will not choose this version....

At one time I used Photo Shop and had a Creative Cloud subscription however I found that Element15 satistfied my photo editing needs.  I cancelle3d my Creative Claoud subscription on the iunderstanding that I would not need it given that I paid retail for Eleements.  Every time I try to open Elements howver I get an Adobe popup that says I have to renew my subscription to Craetive Cloud to use Elements.  Does anyone have this problem and/or does nayone have a work around.  I have talked to "suipport" twice and they don't have a solution.  Any thoughts would be3 appreciated.  Any suggestions on Elements alternaives would also be appreciated - I really like Elements but I do not weant to pay for a Creative Cloud subscription when I already paid for Elements.

There are so many picture adjustment features in Premiere Elements 2019 that it is difficult to know where to start e.g. there are fixes such as smart tone, color, color (RGB), gamma correction, lighting, temperature & tint and fX such as haze removal and color correction.  Is there a recommended order in which these should be applied for best results? I am working on video converted from standard 8mm movie film and some scenes are badly under/over exposed.  What would be the best approach?

I'm writing stuff here right now mainly for validation of bugs and enhancements etc. I appreciate these are user forums but this is just general feedback right now. Eventually I'm going to need to get in contact with Adobe and make my issues more formal. I don't hold up much hope as I notice some long standing basic issues and bugs aren't being given much attention. I also notice that things like hardware acceleration isn't keeping up with the more modern graphics cards and processors, in short Elements really isn't being given much in the way of resources. Anyway... What's the best way to get in contact with developers or QA for big fixes? What's the best way to log enhancement requests? Just create a support ticket? Is there a technical testing forum (perhaps a beta programme). How about? https://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family/categories/photoshop_family_premiere_elements Let me know. Of course I may not have educated myself properly? a) There is no way still of moving track up and down in the timeline without creating additional tracks yes? b) Sometimes I can't delete some empty tracks. I have an empty video track and audio track that simply refuses to be deleted when I right click and click "delete empty tracks". Yes they are definately empty, I've pressed "render" as well in case that makes a difference, even restarted the application. c) When I delete a clip and close the gap, it would be really useful that the playback head follows along with it rather than stay where it is. d) Sometimes when I delete and close gap on a clip, it does not work (just deletes and does not move the clip). If I select just the empty gap afterwards and then "Delete and close gap", it is grayed out, so I end up just dragging the clip after deletion. Maybe it's something I'm not understanding.a More soon maybe.. Thanks..

Edit -> Preferences -> General -> Timeline Playback Auto-Scrolling is set to "Smooth Scroll". I would expect the playback head to stay in the center of the screen, instead it scroll left and right as per default behaviour.Can anybody confirm or correct me?Running Windows 10, NVidea 1070 and latest driver.Thanks 

Recently upgraded to Premiere  Elements 2019. Is it safe to "uninstall" all the older versions such as 2018, 2017, etc.?  What files if any, should I keep? Thanks
