I am using PE 12 I am able to create a new color matte and would like to insert photos over the top of the new color matte rather than the default black. How do I proceed? Thanks
In premiere, adding and editing the movie menu, the program gets stuck. The only to get the computer to do anything is to manually shut down the computer. I've tried different files but it keeps acting up. Please help.
I can't export video in PRE18 to a flashdrive.
Somehow, by default my Premier Elements 19 decided to start creating "Candid Moments" and apparently offering it to me even if the app is not running. I don't appreciate this feature and want to turn it off.. but where?
Adobe Premiere Elements 15 does not accept mp4 files taken by Asus Zenfone 5, Taiwanese smart phone I just purchased. Can anyone help me to get it work? Thanks
I am using Premiere Elements 15, Windows 10 Pro, latest updates to both in place.I use this program almost daily, so am very familiar with it. Until today, I could "add media" via the drop-down in the upper left, at which point the media would show up in "project assets." This no longer works. The program SEEMS to be adding the media -- I get NO error message, and the progress bar shows the media being added -- but the "project assets" drop-down merely flashes when clicked. It doesn't open. In other words, if the program IS adding the media, I can't access it. However, I can add a single file if I right-click on it in Windows Explorer and chose "open with Premier Elements" but that precludes adding any additional files. Once the media is opened via this method, the program functions as it should, but again, I can't add any additional media of any type (audio, video).I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program. The problem continues. Any help would be greatly appreciated!Mike
I have the following error on a Premiere Elements file:Premiere Elements has encountered an error.[..\..\Src\Video\VideoSegment.cpp-55]Is there a way to exact the right text from the .prel file to pull out the edits or edit timing to rebuild the file?James[Here is the list of all Adobe forums... https://forums.adobe.com/welcome][Moved from Premiere Pro to Premiere Elements... Many people find it difficult to check which version of Premiere Elements they are running precisely. Here is how you can check the exact build that you're running on your machine:Mac:When Premiere Elements is open, click on the Premiere Elements menu at the top left and select About Premiere Elements. In the pop-up window that opens, you'll see Premiere Elements version at the top. It looks like the picture embedded in the end.Windows:When in Premiere Elements, click on the Help menu at the top and select About Premiere Elements. You'll see a pop-up window that lists the Premiere Elements version at the top. It looks like this:
I have created an animated gif file and want to edit it to prevent it from looping. Can I use Premel 15 to do this ? If not is there a free gif editor that can be used to accomplish this? Thanks for your help

I have been using Elements and Photoshop 2013 which is 32 bit. I have invested in the 2019 versions for my mac, which runs Mojave. Please can you tell me if I should uninstall the 2013 versions first, before installing the 2019 - which I purchased on disk. Also, is it correct that to uninstall a programme I only have to drag its icon to the trash bin? Many thanks
I'm sure I've read that QuickTime support has recently been withdrawn from PSE/PRE, but I was assuming that was because Windows 10 natively supported it and a QuickTime (from Apple) install is no longer required. However, it seems recent video from my wife's iPhone is not recognized by either PRE 2019 or the organizer. Is there anything I can do to make this video (mediainfo details below) usable/viewable in PRE 2019 and the Organizer?GeneralComplete name : E:\Users\Paul\Google Drive\Google Photos\2018\IMG_1538.MOVFormat : MPEG-4Format profile &
I recently started using 2019 Premier Elements to edit videos for dance instruction. Editing video and audio has worked well, with one exception. When attempting to slow a video to 80 - 90% utilizing timestretch the resulting video and audio are slowed as desired, but the audio exhibits a significant loss of bass, which is critical for dance beat synchronization. The timestretch *maintain pitch* option did not restore the bass loss, and searching the FAQs and INet returned no results. Is there an explanation, option, configuration or process that would address this problem? Thanks in advance for your assistance!
This has just started, Elements 16, fully updated as well as Windows and all hardware drivers. When I hit play, the program freezes. I have to use task manager to shut it down. Looking at the forums here there was a post about changing the audio hardware - I tried that - to no avail. I need this working as I have 2 projects to complete.Pretty frustrating! This is an i7 computer with 32GB of ram, ssds and 7200 RPM drives - its not a computer issue....Please help.Title was edited by: Mod
Premier Elements does not import variable frame rate video correctly. The audio and video gets out of sync and if you have multiple sources the video will get out of sync between them over time. This is a long running problem which still doesn't appear to be fixed in the newest version. There are literally dozens of posts here from users struggling with this problem. The usual workaround suggested here is to convert the footage using handbrake or some other conversion tool to fixed frame rate H264. I have used this successfully several times but there are still a few major issues with it.1. Handbrake is a complex tool with dozens of settings for the conversion. I am not confident I know the best settings to just retain the original quality and output fixed frame rate. I think it would be good to have a forum post here with input from those with expertise in this area.2. Even assuming the conversion to H264 is flawless, H264 itself doesn't seem
Hello,I recently imported some GoPro Hero 7 footage, shot at 4k 60fps into Elements Organiser 2018 but the videos do not play, auto does but there's no footage shown. Is there a way to resolve this? A codec that can be downloaded or something? From what I understand reading here it's related to it being shot in H.265 which is not supported by Premiere Element, and I assume Organiser either. Would be great to have this fixed as I do have Premiere Pro which I assume I can use for editing but Organiser is so good for organising and finding videos & photos that I would not want to lose the use of it.
Greetings,I looked in the forums and saw a posting and answer on this problem back in 2014, now 5 years later I am posting the same question in hopes that there is a solution out there. I read ATR's problem solving and it was long and it sounded complicated. So all of that said is there a way that I can loop a DVD and burn it with PE 12 other than keep adding it to the time line?I could put my files into Windows Movie Maker and that works for the picture files, but as far as the music goes I have edited it on the timeline in Adobe and not sure it there is a way to do that in Movie Maker, it there might be please let me know because I believe that I can set a loop in Movie Maker. As I said on the subject heading I am going to play this on a lap top, so I don't have the option to hit replay on a DVD player. Thanks
Hello,I want to start by saying that I can usually muddle my way through techy things but I don't know all the terminology so please bear with me.I am trying to edit a VOB video that came from a DVD. I can see the video on PE2019 but the audio is not working. When I play the VOB video on VLC Media Player the audio works perfectly. Also, when I play a more recent video that has MP4 audio on PE2019 it works fine. So, to me this means that there is no problem with the VOB video and there's no problem with PE2019 but the two don't work together. I saw other discussions about this same problem but I can't find any that were actually resolved. I'm thinking that I'm going to have to use a conversion program but if that's the case then I'd really appreciate it if someone could tell me which program to use and which format to convert it to.I've attached a snapshot of the MediaInfo details from my VOB video in case that helps.Oh, and my computer runs on Window
After intense anger and frustration, I made my first test clip. I emailed it to my phone. I can't save it, text it or share it. Every other clip people send goes right to my photo folder. It was made on Elements 15 and sent to iPhone. I am stuck Title was edited by: Mod

Hi. I'm using Premiere Elements 15. When I try to open a saved video project (a .prel file) to continue editing, it only gives me the option to skip or "skip all". That results in offline files being opened on the timeline. Any ideas on how to fix this? I obviously don't want to have to start editing from scratch every time I need to edit a project in progress. Also, where would I find updates for Premiere Elements 15?Thanks
I happened to notice a fairly large discrepancy in exported file sizes when I accidentally exported the same .prel file to an .mp4 file on two different computers using identical Export settings. In theory, both computers should have produced files that were fairly close in size, however one computer produced an .mp4 file that is about 40% larger than the other. All other .prel files I tried exhibit similar discrepancies between the two computers. Interestingly, a third computer that is identical to the second produces a file identical in size to that produced by the second computer.I have approximately 200 .prel files to export to .mp4, so I want to split the exports between all three computers to speed up the process. I also need to make sure the exported file sizes are as small as possible for the selected resolution, format and quality, so I can conserve storage space when I upload them to Google Drive.First, I checked the edit preferences on all three compu
Please help...Premiere Elements used to do the leg work for me and help me make sure I had the correct project settings. This no longer happens. When I add a movie clip to the Expert view timeline, Adobe Premiere Elements 2018 DOESN'T automatically changes project settings in the background to match the clip properties. The clip has an orange line above. Thanks for any insight.I am running on Windows 10 and have tried reinstalling and resetting preferences.
Dear Adobe Community,(Computer spec's listed at the end) For over a year I have been experiencing automatic computer reboots occasionally while working on video editing in Premiere Elements - previously version 12 and most recently version 15. It also happened while working in PowerPoint, so it is not unique to the software. For that reason I have been troubleshooting it with a general tech support forum here. I also hadn't been so proactive about it as it was happening rarely enough not to affect my workflow too much. On my most recent project, however, I can't work on part of my video for more than a few seconds before an automatic reboot triggers. The current project is HD 1080p 60fps video with mostly pictures, music, and basic animation. The problem is when I want to use some video within this movie. The video is HD 1080p 30fps, so I thought potentially the frame rate difference was putting some kind of strain on my system resulting in a reboot. The pictures part of the video is f
