Premiere Elements

Hello Adobe Community,I've encountered a persistent issue that seems to be affecting many of us. My problem began when I deleted some pictures, after which the program could no longer locate them. More troubling is the file menu becoming unresponsive. Interestingly, if I perform the **Ctrl + Alt + Delete** sequence and open the Task Manager, I can momentarily access the menus and import functions. However, once I navigate away, the issue reoccurs until I repeat the process.In an attempt to resolve this, I've deleted all my catalogs and ensured that my **AMD graphics card** is set as the priority for graphics display, but the problem persists. I've gone through the process of uninstalling and reinstalling the software about five times, with no success. I even tried uninstalling my graphics software and installing only the driver, yet the issue remains.I discovered that if I remove the graphics card software entirely and run the system on the default settings, the menus and other feature

hi, i tried to make a back up from my catagogus, but it does.t work. I tried the full back up and the incremental backu up. After I click 'save back-up', it starts preparing and does.nt go through.Anybody have an idea what I can do? Thanks!

Is there a timeline for GPU acceleration support for the RTX 4000's series?

Hi everyone - first post 🙂I record full length baseball games on my GoPro in 4K 60fps and upload them to Youtube.  I have been doing this manually using Premiere Elements 2024 by using Export and Share --> Devices -->  4k Ultra HD.  I then wait an hour or two and then manually upload the resultant MP4 to YouTube.  I have a high speed internet connection, so the uploads only take <20 minutes typically. Using Export & Share --> Social Media --> YouTube would be helpful to eliminate that manual step but it appears that the quality settings are capped at 1080p HD (1920x1080).  Is there a way to edit the default settings for the YouTube upload so I can avoid doing both steps (compile video and YouTube upload) separately?Thanks, all!

I login on my icon for  Adobe 14 and a pop up tell me I have 2 PC.  How to desactivate both of programs,     from my PC because I have only one???     Thank you  HT

I have been downloading videos from YouTube to use in a music video. Many of these have worked. I downloaded the clips to my computer then to Premiere Elements. But lately, all the videos are washed out looking. The color is faded. How can I correct this?

Hello, I used to work with Fimora but got very desilusioned and am now looking for another video editor. In the past I worked with Premiere Elements but went to Filmora because all the rendering drove me crazy and indeed Filmora was much better at that. There is another feature they have that I would like my new video editor to have, which is the Smart Cutout. That bypasses the need for green screen. You just draw a line through the subject and then can use any background you like and no problem if you are wearing green clothes. As I have been away from Premiere Elements for a few years, I hope a lot has changed for the better! Thanks. 

I can't open Photo Editor.  It doesn't matter if I try to open it when I start the Photoshop Premier Elements program, or if I'm in Organizer.  The little twirly thing twirls, and then nothing happens.

Duration of my project is just 3min 16s. It is 4K 60fpsMy CPU in Intel I9 9900K OC@4.7GHzI changed only 3 very basic parameters:- Color- Lighting-Temperature and Tint  Encoding of my project is very slow even without changing resolution and framerate. I have a simple action cam (not a GoPro & no stabilisation) but have obtained pretty good results when recording in HD mode (60 FPS), paricularly under water.  Shake Reduction has also worked reasonably well. This action CAM can record in higher resolution so I have been making a few tests with 2.7k 30 FPS & 4k 25 FPS. A few short clips recorded with 2.7k 30 FPS were inserted into a fresh project but I noticed that the project settings were 1920 by 1080 i.e. HD & that when exporting/sharing "Devices" it offered just HD 1080.I tried Shake Reduction but the clip has a red banner "Shake Reduction requires clip dimensions to match project settings.  Create a new project" (which I had done previously). Question: Is this behaviour to be expected? A similar test with 4k 25 FPS clips worked perfectly - output as 4k Ultra HD & Shake Reduction worked - took some time to process but that can be expected. Its a good thing I made this test before a

I downloaded and installed previously purchased photoshop/premier elements 12 on my laptop. When I try to start either one I get a screen stating I have to login and register within 7 days. During the installs I entered the serial numbers so it should already be registered. Anyway I go through the login process successfully but then nothing happens. The programs still do not load.

Hello,I have just purchased Premiere Elements 2024.In my previous version (2020) I was in the process of  making a video. I find that PE 2024 will not open the 2020 .prel file, neither is it locating the media from which the Video is being constructed.I have a bad feedling about this!Can anyone advise please?Thanks and Regards,Jim

Yesterday I recorded a video using Logi Capture and a Zoom H2 mic. In Media Player, it sounds fine. But when I imported it into Premiere, the sound track is duplicated. That is, Audio 1 shows two identical sound tracks, there is no Audio 2 track. Is there a way to make Audio 1 a single audio line, as it was recorded ? [I have a PC and am running Premiere Elements 2020, version 18.0.] 

Ich benutze Adobe Premiere Elements Version 21.0 mit Windows 11 (64 bit). Die Videos um die es geht haben eine Auflösung von 1920x1080 bei 25 Bildern pro Sekunde. Die Videos stammen von einer Sony Alpha 6000 im Dateiformat MTS.Wenn ich bei den Videos die Funktion "Verwackelungsreduzierung" ausführe wird diese ausgeführt. Das "Wackeln" im Video ist anschließend auch entfernt, allerdings sind anschließend jeweils zwei aufeinanderfolgende Bilder (Frames) exakt gleich. Das heißt die Framerate ist zwar immer noch 25, aber da jeweils 2 aufeinanderfolgende Bilder gleich sind sind es effektiv nur noch 12,5fps. Bei Schwenks sieht das hinterher fast schlimmer aus als vor der "Verwackelungsreduzierung".Das Problem tritt bei mehreren Videos der gleichen Quelle auf. Verschiedene Einstellungen bei der Funktion "Verwackelungsreduzierung" ändern zwar das Ergebnis, aber nicht die "doppelten" Bilder. My Win 11 Pro suffered A BSOD after which I had to reinstall all my programs.  Trying to reinstall Premiere Elements 2024 & got error msg that I needed to deactivate "computer" before reinstalling same program.  How do I do that after the fact ?

I am new to Premiere Elements but have used other simplier programs.  I have created a very simple movie In PE that has only JPEG photos and a few songs.  The output video it not good.  Audio is fine.  Some of the photos are only partially displayed.  Other photos are slowly painted from top to bottom on the screen and not displayed all at once.  I have a Dell XPS tower system with a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti GPU card, 16GB of memory, 13th Gen Intel i7-13700 CPU.  In Preferences it says that the detected GPU is supported.  So what is wrong?  I have tried to export this movie on most of the Computer and TV device resolutions and I have the same problem on all of them.  I have never had this problem with the simplier movie creation programs and using a laptop.  PE is pretty much useless until the problem is fixed.  Any advice would be appreciated.  Thanks in advance.  

Hello When I load a file into premiere elements the audio does not work. I had the same problem a few years ago and now I have come back to it I have the issue again. The audio works on all other programs, it's just premeire element which is causing trouble. The fix everyone suggests is that I must have a hardware setting that is wrong. So note that I have tried all the available default outputs with preferences/audio hardware and none work. I can render out the file and it plays in all other programs but when I load it back to premere there is no sound playing but I can see the EQ. I can render out just the audio and the audio works in all other programs but not premiere (I did that as a WAV file. Please help Many thanks Adam I want to try and render it out outside of premiere elements but I don't have media encoder so i can't check if that will fix it. Why is premiere doing this? Why won't it play any sound at all?

Hi, ich nehme PC Spiele auf Youtube in 60FPS auf. Das Original Video, welches ich mit Open Broadcaster aufnehme ist absolut perfekt. Auch wenn ich mir das Video in Premiere Elements (vorm rendern) anschaue ist es perfekt. Wenn ich allerdings in 1440p und 60FPS rendere, dann flackert das fertige Video und vorallem die Schriften extrem und das Video ist so eigentlich unbrauchbar. Nehme ich die gleichen Einstellungen beim Rendern und stelle es auf 30FPS, dann gibt es keine Probleme und das Video ist so wie es sein soll. Ich habe jetzt ein wenig rumprobiert und bin bei den "Halbbildoptionen" fündig geworden, denn dort kann ich ein "Flimmern reduzieren" auswählen. Ja danach ist es minimal besser, aber flackert immer noch ganz leicht. In 30 FPS hab ich überhaupt kein flimmern/flackern vom Bild. Woran liegt das? Das Originalvideo zeigt mir im VLC Player an, dass es in 60FPS läuft.  Wieso kann mir Premiere Elements kein flackerfreies Bild mit 60 FPS hinzaubern und

I'm trying to export a rough cut of a 2 minute video, but after rendering and saving the file, I hit "Export and Share" and nothing happens.  I've exported edited mp3s with no problem.  The disc has 350 gigs free. Thank you,Jeff

I am using Adobe Premiere Elements 2020 Version 18.0 (20201207.daily.2234367).  I am using Windows 10 with current upgrades.  My graphics card is NVIDIA GeForce GTx 1050 Ti with updated driver version 560.7 When I try to import some MP4 files into Premiere it says your system needs to be configured to import HEVC or HEIF type of media. All MP4 files display properly in Windows Media Player. on the compter with Adobe Premier   I have followed the instructions at https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-elements/using/hevc-decoding-on-windows.html.  In other words:  1) load HEIF image extension; 2) load HEVC video extension; and 3) delete media cache. However, the problem persists. I have also viewed the permissions issue video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KTSDm7WWUNs. The persmissions appear properly configured except there are two versions of the extensions (see attached screen shot). Is this a possible source of the peoblem?There ar

I have PE 2022 and PE 15 installed on my computer. When I had Windows 10 I created MP4 file in PE 2022 then loaded MP4 file to PE 15, added a menu and finished the project by creating ISO file and burningBlu-Ray disc. I tried to do the same on my new computer in Windows 11. PE 2022 works fine. I created mp4 file but when I load PE 15 I immidiately have a pop-up: "Failed to open Catalog. The catalog could not be opened. It is either corrupt, or the version is out of date and cannot be updated." Is it possible to fix this problem and make PE 15 work?Thanks. Lev

I have seen this topic in the community and it seems to have to do with Hevc and Heif and H264 and H265. However I can't figure out what to do with Heif and Hevc (I had Hevc app and downloaded Heif) and don't know if my video is h264 or h265. So as far as the free trial, "hey buy our product it is great", is concerned it is a fail so far. just saying....I had Premier elements 2018 on my old computer and it downloaded the iphone video but the last time I tried with the 2018 version it downloaded the audio but not the video. So I thought the update to 2024 version would solve the iphone video download issues but apparently not. When I try to download the video from my computer (I downloaded them from the iphone 13 to the files on my computer) I get the message that I need Hevc or Heif. I imagine there are lots of people trying to edit and make movies from the video on their iphone so is Premier Elements just not a program that can do that without lots of computer skill and knowledge

Premier elements is installed in windows 11 PC. I have installed HEVC video extension app. I have deleted the cache files. But premier elements is still unable to import an HEVC format media file. The Premiere elements 2021 is version 19.0.What do I need to do to be able to import HEVC mdeia files? Steve
