Premiere Elements

Hi I have hundreds of short video clips in a project. I want to add a black slide and put some white text on it (rather than adding text to the actual video, which i see can be done). Does PE have a function to do this?And, if so, can I add it mid-point in my project?  Slightly aside, I am finding when i copy and paste a video, mid-point, it pastes over another video.... so the only way i've found to get round this is to go all the way to the end, and paste it there and drag it all the way back again..... Is there something i'm missing here? Thanks!

I am stuck in freeze frame mode and can't get out. I do not want to freeze any frame. I have tried to restart the program but it just goes back to the same freeze frame blank screen. 

Hi I am doing a project and i have a video of about 15 seconds.It is too long to fit my project, but i cant edit it any further else it loses meaning... Im wondering if there is way to make it play at say x2 or x4 speed? Thanks!

I recently upgraded from Premier Elements 2018 to 2025.  The new titles and text functionality is a nightmare.   Apparently you cannot drag a text box to reposition it.  All positioning has to be done by scrubbing the numbers under the Titles and Shape menu.  But it gets worse.  Once you've inserted a text box, you can't resize it!!!.  Here is what I am observing: 1. Point Text (single-click created)No adjustable bounds.The text runs in one line, and increasing the font size can push it offscreen.Only way to make it “fit” differently is by resizing Scale (%) or retyping line break 2. Area Text (click-and-drag created)This is the only way to set and control wrapping width.When you first drag the rectangle, its width defines how far across the screen the text can flow.But: after creation, you can’t grab handles in the Program Monitor to resize itIf the box is too narrow, you need to redraw it larger. Really?  How many times have

Hi I have some videos that I would like to trim to perhaps 10 seconds or even a few seconds.... and i'm finding it difficult. It is possible to 'mark manually' a small segment and then use the keyboard arrows left/right to go frame by frame to trim the segment... you do that on the left bar using right arrow, and then on the right bar using left arrow, to bring them together..However, as it is such a small amount of video, it is then very difficult to navigate from one bar to the other.... the only way to do it is to leave a larger gap between the bars and then you have one shot to bring them together (scrolling frame by frame, though you can make it quicker by holding down the arrow), as the lines come closer together, it becomes impossible again to navigate to the other bar ... hope that makes sense!    Wondering if there is a more effective way to do this? Appreciate there might be something on "Advanced".. but i haven't touched "Advanced" before a

I recently bought a new laptop and loaded Premiere Elements 2020. It works fine when I open a previous project which I have on a separate hard drive. The problem happens when I create a new project. I can save it but when I try to reopen the project I get a crash report. I've updated graphics card drivers, cleared media cash and various other things but no joy. It appears there  must be some form of conflict.

I recently posted a video to YouTube that I wasn't proud of. The video looked choppy and low resolution even though it was rendered in 4K.I am seeing the same thing again as I try to edit my new video.Everything looks good when I edit a still image, even when I manually drag the cursor along. However, when I hit the play button everything looks ratty. I have Premiere Elements 2020. I have a Dell 8940 with a 4K monitor. Robert 0901 

Is Premiere Elements an experiement?  Im not being facieious, this is a legitimate question.  Aside from the learning curve  and shuffling around a split screen to get to other things on my desktop to review before I add them, I am behind schedule  for my workload.  At first it wasnt too bad. I just had to spend time watching videos and reading articles.  Im in the middle of a video and have to rebuild the first segment.  When I opened PE there were so many random images and videos from my laptop in Elements Organizer I couldn't work that way. I have tried everythig I read and watched to clear all images and clips to no avail. Most of the menue on top is grayed out. I restarted, cleared cache......nothing is working .  Am I able to get a refund or perhaps get PE-2025 replaced with PE-2024 (providing it's not comparable to 2025)? Help!   I have been creating videos for a few months and now have come to make some edits, they are not opening properly... im thinking maybe i have tried to tidy the folder structure.... moved things around and now it kind find the sources... but im really not sure!   Vidoes are showing like this....   Help appreciated!

I created  a GIF file in PhotoScape that consists of 5 files.  It displays correctly when I press on the file name in Windows Explorer.But when I insert the GIF file in the timeline of Premiere Elements, it is only displayed until the 4th image, leaving out the final 5th image

Hallo,ik werk met premiere elements 25, Ik probeer een video (8 minuten) na renderen te uploaden naar You tube, alles lijkt te werken zoals het moet maar toch krijg ik het na een tijdjerechts onderaan een rode driehoek met uitroepteken en bericht dat ik "niet aangemeld ben bij you tube" en stopt het uploaden.Als ik echter de video opsla op mijn desktop en in you tube zelf rechtsboven +maken kies lukt het publiceren van mijn video film wel, wat kan hier mis zijn met het publiceren naar you tube? dat probleem had ik ook al in de vorige elements versie.

I have just gone onto this forum with a similar problem to the one recently described.  I am trying to import movie files from an Iphone into Premiere Elements.  I have the error message "the importer reported a generic error".  I tried using Handbrake as suggested and seem to be able to import the file now but it is only the audio that is coming in.  Any ideas??

I've deactivated Premier Elements 10 on a very old laptop..  (it's worked as it's asking me to enter the serial number when I go back in), but when I try to add the product onto a new laptop, it's saying, "This serial number is already in use."Is there a delay in the deactivation/Activation process or do I have a problem... Thanks in advance!

HiJust remformatted hard drive and reinstalled Adobe Elements 13 and now after I enter the serial number it always asks me to log in via QR code link.  Once I do, Adobe Elements 13 closes.  Only to have me restart and go through the same process... How do I get back into Elements?

how I can see the zoom percentage that is currently applied to the main image in the edictor ?

I have attached a clip taken on a Pixel Pro phone which is mp4 format but when I try to import it into APE15, I get the message stating file format is not supported or the codec is missing. I have checked importing an mp4 file from my normal video cam and that works fine. I tried changing the project settings to AVCHD 1080p50 and also QFHD 16x9 50 which are the settings I usually use, but still the same error.Can anyone tell me what is wrong with the file and how to resolve this problem please? I have dozens of similar clips that I need in a project.

Is there a way of adjusting the lengt of time a title appears on screen?
