Hello,I'm planning to buy Dell 3541 mobile workstation in following configuration:- i7-9850H 2,6GHz- 32GB RAM DDR4 ECC- Nvidia Quadro P620 w/ 4GB GDDR5 (512 CUDA cores, memory interface 128-bit, memory bandwidth 80GB/s)- 1 TB SSD NVMe- Windows Pro 64 bit Do you think that's enough for smooth Full HD (occasionally 4K) editing in Premiere Pro 2019, including usage of GPU accelerated effects/rendering? This relatively new Quadro P620 doesn't reach performance of P1000 (640 CUDA cores), that is listed among recommended graphic cards for Premiere Pro, but compared to older P600 has more cores and, in mobile version, also 4GB VRAM. Thank you for the responseJan Senius

HiWe are building a monster that will stand to time to come. We got all under control but today we got into a CPU argument. We are running Dell Precision 7920 tower and will be using Dual Xenon. We will be using much more tools then after effects but that is the number one. Like 99% of the testes are on Intel i series CPU and not Xenon. The question is most about Core over Frequence?Anyone got the answer?We have looked at : Dual Intel Xeon Platinum 8276 2.2GHz, 4.0GHz Turbo, 28C, 10.4GT/s 3UPI, 38.5MB, HT (165W) DDR4-2933

I've added a BMPCC4K to my shop, as the main rig. Often in b-raw, and it runs about 610 Mb/s in that mode. Some ProRes 422 and LT of course. So the amount of media has jumped dramatically from the 150 Mb/s my older camera runs.   I've been running six internal drives, mostly SSDs, but ... that was for running with the 150 Mb/s workflow. I've got a couple projects now that are over 300 GB of media coming in. And more on the way.   I need a much larger local storage setup. It would need to be attached directly to my computer. I know a lot of colorists that are using Qnap and other RAID rigs to get both size of space and speed of read/write, and am curious what the folks here would recommend? I can either run USB3.1 or put another card in the computer, I've space for a couple more cards.   And I'm expecting that I will need to quickly archive projects even with a larger storage availability.   Neil

Hey,I plan to buy a new pc and it wish to find a clear answer by Adobe (that should be checking these forum daily).My questions:1. Is multicore abobe 8 core supported? If by which AMD and Intel CPU series?2. Does Playback (decoding) only benefit from the intel GPU chip of the CPU? Only from intel? Also from which Intel series, i9? What is your recommandation?3. Does high clock GHz count over multicore? Whats is the best belance for premiere pro?4. What is planed in the future on multicore support? Since Davinci and Final cut etc also all working fine... If I wont find help here: where can I contact a professinal Adobe Stuff via hotline to get a clear answer?!Thanks,Alex

I've been using CS6 on Windows 10 just fine, but now I need to add closed captions to a 30-sec clip, which means I need Pro CC.My footage is 1080p, not 4K. My obsolete hardware:CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450GPU: EVGA GTX 560 Ti 1 GB VRAM I don't care if Premiere Pro CC is going to run slow on these, all I need to know if it will run at all, or if there are some hardware incompatibilities. I know the minimum system requirements for Pro CC are i5/i7 CPU and 2 GB VRAM, but I wonder if real-life experience differs from the theory. If someone has been able to use Pro CC on Core2Quad and 1GB VRAM, could you please write that CPU/GPU and Premiere version? Thanks!

Hi,I'm looking at switching from my old 2012 iMac to a new macbook pro as I'm a video editor for a small TV company. if i went for a a fully kitted out 15in model i'd be looking around £6500 which i cannot afford, but i also don't want to get a basic model that won't be able to run all the CC programs and have slow export times.We are mainly editing 30 minute shows at 1080, rarely anything at 4K so could anyone point me in the general direction of what specs I should be looking at for a mid range model that wont break the bank but i should get at least a good 4-5 years with no slow down issues on. My budget is around £2000/2500Many ThanksNeil

Hey guys, I already found a few posts on multicore discussions but most of them remained unclear.I am going for a new system and are looking into AMD and Intel. i7 9700K or AMD 1950X or higher. That would be 8 vs 16 cores. What is the latest status in PP latest verion? What would be best to go for? Thanks,Alex

I am trying to upgrade my system to handle both Adobe Premiere and After Effects better, but I am on a budget. Presently it gets choppy when I scroll through HD and 4K footage. Hi everyone,I want to upgrade my system and think of a new CPU. I am willing to go up to a Intel Core i9 9900K 8x 3.60GHz. But there are also cheaper and also powerful i7s out there. So I wonder how Adobe Premiere would benefit from an i9 over an i7. Encoding has a significant impact on my daily workflow, so that's an important issue to me. 🙂Apart from core count and clock speed - does the i9 deliver any additional features Premiere benefits from?Thanks in advance for sharing your experience and thoughts! 🙂

Hi folks,I am in the time consuming process of shopping for a laptop that can handle video editing and basic to medium After Effects tasks . I need something reliable but not extremly expensive.I've been eying:1. A laptop that comes with a AMD Ryzen 7 3750H processor and a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 GPU.2. A laptop that comes with an Intel Core I7-9750H and NVIDIA GeForce GTX1650 4GB GPU.Now, I've been researching a lot and sometimes all seems clear while at other times I just don't know what to choose.Any advice is welcome. I am open to other options in regards to CPUs and GPUs as long as they are not the most expensive.What should I prioritize for my usage? CPU or GPU?Thanks,Alex

Hello, I am experiencing freeze-ups and crashes in Premiere Pro. I have a good amount of RAM and a good processor so I'm not sure what the issue might be. Any help would be appreciated. Here are my computer specs: Dell Inspiron B 17, 777316GB DDR4 (16GBx1)512GB SSD - CL20nVidia Discrete Gfx N17S-G1, 2GB GDDR5Intel(R) UHD Graphics 620NVIDIA GeForce MX150Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8550U, FY18C2 I wish I had the computer savvy and time to research this on my own, and I really appreciate any help. The problems often start  when I'm making colour corrections or adjustments, but they can pop up any time once I have a good amount of clips and edits going. I also use a second external monitor...could this be the issue? Thanks in advance! -J

I'm debating making some system upgrades to improve my editing experience.  I work with 4k footage almost exclusively. (100mbps mp4) After a handful of cuts, some motion graphics, and maybe some optical flow on slightly slowed down footage (75-85% on 30fps footage), I start to get fairly poor timeline scrubbing and even playback issues.  As footage goes from clip to clip in an edit it will drop frames and I'll have to stop, wait a second, then restart playback to smooth it out. So I'm just trying to decide what will be my best bang for the buck to increase my performance to smooth out my workflow. Current system specs:-AMD Ryzen 5 1600 CPU (6-cores, 3.2 GHz, overclocked to 3.8GHz)-16GB DDR 4 G.Skill PC-2800 RAM-Nvidia Geforce GTX 980 4GB GPU-Western Digital Blue NVME m.2 SSD (Workflow/scratch disc for editing, all footage is on here and exported to here.)-Samsung 850EVO SSD (Windows and Adobe CC are installed on this drive, as is Adobe Cache.)Money is a little tight right now
